Monty D2024-114
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• No cats
• Older dog savvy children
Monty is a 1 year old Turkish Mixed breed who loves everyone, she is a very gentle girl who loves fuss and praise. She loves her walks and saying hello to everyone she meets. She has been bullied by other dogs in the past but has been working hard and now meets other well behaved dogs lovely. Whilst she adjusts to her new home and bonds with her pawrents she needs then to choose her friends so she stays safe.
Veterinary history to be discussed
Monty loves to play. She can be cheeky and thinks she can get away with chewing things as she is still a pup, but she is very intelligent and if told no and given a toy as an alternative, she will chew that instead and looks very pleased with herself. If they are not dog proof she likes to deconstruct them to see how well they were made.
Monty does not like cats so is not to be rehomed with any.
Monty is a medium size dog, a bit bigger than a border collie and very playful; she loves playing with toys and running around at top speed so older children who can move out of her way would be better. She is still a bit of a pup and everything is new to her so she can get excitable but listens when told to calm down.
Monty enjoys her walks and now trots around her village with confidence saying hello to all the people she meets when out She’s become a bit a local star and is happy to met and greet with foster mums say so. In her new home she will initially need to be walked with a harness and lead but as she bonds and gets used to her new surroundings this can change. She responds well to praise and encouragement and her lead walk training has come on great. She always looks so pleased with herself when she is praised for being brave. She stays close to her human on lead and has only been off lead in a secure field where she also stayed close.
Monty sleeps downstairs with the other dogs on a comfy dog bed. She has not yet mastered getting onto a sofa. She sleeps quietly all night.
She is completely house trained and has always gone into the garden to toilet.
Monty loves her food and eats nicely taking treats gently.
Monty would love a fairly active home where she has access to a large garden and people around most the time who will be patient and supportive teaching her how to enjoy walks and adventures. Monty loves being in the garden most of the day, she likes to lie on the grass and watch the sky and birds. She loves being outdoors but also loves coming in to curl up by her humans.

Lwcus D2024-54

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with other dogs
  • Not cat tested
  • Loves children but need to be dog savvy
  • Vet history to be discussed

Lwcus is a 13 month old Turkish Mixed Breed who loves people and dogs. He likes to say hello to everyone he meets on walks and will give cuddles if allowed to. He gets on fine with the other dogs in his foster home and at the ed of the day he loves to have cuddles on the sofa with his human.

Vet history to be discussed

Lwcus loves to sleep on a comfy sofa but will also take himself off to a dog bed in a quiet room or in an open crate if he wants some time to himself. He loves his toys and likes to play. He is very confident and gentle with other dogs. He is just a very happy boy who enjoys everything.

Not tested, but he has seen cats out on walks and not reacted to them.

Lwcus loves children and can be very gentle but as he likes to jump up for a cuddle it would be better if he was homed with older children, 10 plus unless dog savvy and experienced with dogs.

Lwcus prefers to play with toys alone, he likes a hard toy to chew on or a cuddly to snuggle with. He is not bothered if another dog takes it, he’ll just fetch something else. He loves to go for walks with other dogs but just as happy to go on his own.

He loves his walks and his favourite walk is with his dog friends over the fields where he loves to surf through long grass on a long line. Recall will need to be worked on as he has not yet been off lead. He is great on the lead and gets excited when he knows he is going out. He is great in the car, sits quietly on the back seat attached to his seat belt. He even loves going to the vet. He has been walked in a town and was really good, stopping to say hello to people and staying close. Not bothered at all by traffic and listens to ‘wait’ to cross roads.

Lwcus sleeps downstairs on a cosy dog bed or sofa with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves his sleep and is always last to get up.

Totally house trained, he goes out to the garden when let out or does his business out on walks.

He knows where he has his food and which bowl is his. All the dogs know not to approach others whilst they are eating so he knows his food is just for him. He will not go near another dog that is eating. He loves his treats and waits patiently for his, happy for others to have theirs first. He takes them very gently and leaves the other dogs alone to enjoy theirs.

Lwcus would love an active family home where he gets to go on lots of walks and adventures. He can be left for short periods of time but would prefer to have someone around most of the time.

Ronan D2024 – 117

  • Needs a resident dog to learn and play with
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Ronan is an 8 month old Bichon who is desperate to trust people and loves being close to you but doesn’t like it when you go towards him. He likes to choose to be in your company rather that you choosing to be with him/her. This is improving daily and he is now jumping up on the sofa looking for attention.

Despite being desperate to love and trust and not wanting to be alone. He is very playful with the resident dogs and toys. In fact he has come out of his shell so much he loves to steal slippers and toys taking them to his bed and storing them as treasure.

He has not been walked far as he has been decompressing since arriving in foster. He has been practicing in the garden with a harness and lead getting used to gentle pressure under supervision and with lots of positive encouragement and treats. He is now taking short walks around the block with the resident dog for company and confidence. Every day is a new day and every day he is learning.

His nosey side is starting to come out as he loves to follow foster mum everywhere to see wat is happening and if it involves any treats. He is still unsure of any new people who come to the home but if they ignore him and give him time to think about it he comes closer to see what’s going on.

Ronan has loads of energy chasing the other dogs and zooming around the garden. As he is still young mentally and physically for his age he loves to have lots of power naps on a nice furry blanket or pillow and then he is ready to go again.

Ronan is not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn.

He can be homed with dog savvy children 7 and over who would maybe like to read to him until he gets his confidence to play with them.

Currently he sleeps in a play pen and is quiet and clean all night.

House training is a work in progress and is improving every day. As he enjoys spending lots of time in the garden this is getting better and better.

Ronan eats fine around the other dogs and is starting to learn what treats are.

Ronan needs an active home with another dog. Its going to take him a little time to get to full strength and confidence but he has heard the other dogs mention mountain climbing, paddleboarding and sand squirrel hunting so he has now put all these adventures on his to do list. All he needs now id the family who will help him get there.

Mirabel D2024-123

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient family

Mirabel is a 2.5 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as having the waggiest of tails. When she meets people for the first time she’s a bit unsure which is understandable due to her being an ex breeder but she is definitely learning to enjoy cuddles and human laps.

Mirabel has eyes you can melt in she’s a worried little girl and scared to approach humans to start but it doesn’t take her long to learn to trust and then she becomes a cuddle monster who adores cuddles on the sofa laying her head on her human lap.

Mirabel is happy around other dogs she has just started to play and she doesn’t bother with cats she sees in the garden.

Mirabel can be a bit scared by sudden movements or noises so older calmer children would be best.

Mirabel has started to play with her foster brother which is lovely to see and she’s slowly learning to relax and have fun.

Walking on a harness and lead is a work in progress but patience time and understanding and she will get it in no time.

Mirabel sleeps in the kitchen with the resident dog all night with no problem.

House training is coming on really well but could regress slightly in her new home.

She eats well and with all cavaliers loves her food.

Mirabel would thrive in a home with a young playful active dog that will show her the world outside is fun. A home that will be patient and loving and let her do things in her own time which will allow her to flourish. Once she is settled she is going to be a beautiful addition to any family and she with be a loyal loving companion.

Heulog D2024-121

  • Could be an only dog
  • Could also live with another dog
  • Dog savvy children over 12
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Heulog is a 8 month old Bichon who was initially nervous when she arrived in foster. Since being in foster she has improved greatly and although still a little nervous and skittish it turns out she loves people. She follows foster mum around the house and garden and loves attention and is beginning to get excited when she sees her foster family. She is now enjoying cuddles and is relaxing into it.

Signs of a normal carefree puppy are beginning to emerge and she’s starting to play and will suddenly burst into a short zoomy session. She is showing an interest in toys and she particularly likes a good strong chew. She is still shy with strangers but in time this will improve.

Not cat or small furry tested but is young enough to learn.

Heulog is still somewhat nervous so older children 12 and up would be ok but it really depends on the child’s experience of dogs as she’s not a dog that will immediately want to play, cuddle and go out for walks, she will need patience and a quieter home at first so no very small children.

Heulog has just started to show an interest in toys especially strong chews and stuffed toys, which she will also happily unstuff. She will play with the other dogs in her foster home some of which are much larger, she was initially frightened around them and would bark every time she saw hem but now they’re friends although Heulog is not brave enough yet to play.

Heulog now walks on a harness and lead and is enjoying learning that the outside world is safe. She has been walking in quiet areas and building up bit by bit to busier areas.

Heulog sleeps in a crate with her foster sister which is inside a puppy pen, the crate has been her safe space since she arrived in foster and she will need a similar safe space in her new home at least until she has her bearings. I suspect she is also the kind of dog who would eventually like to sleep close to her people when she feels safe around them.

Heulog is house trained as long as she has regular access to the garden. She sleeps all night in her crate with no accidents.

She has been fine eating around others but they are fed separately as she is a very greedy fast eater and will finish anothers food as she is much slower. They have treats together and are very well behaved.

Heulog will need a calm home with kind and patient pawrents who are home most of the time and who are willing to go at her pace to help her feel safe and comfortable. As she is showing herself to be a people lover, in the right circumstances she could be homed as an only dog as long as she has lots of doggy friends. She can also be homed with a similar sized dog who won’t mind sharing the attention with her and is happy to be a friendly role model. She is a very gentle and kind little girl who’s decided she rather likes the love and attention she gets from good humans and is looking for very best home where she can love those humans in return and put all the bad memories behind her.

Petal D2024-120

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Older teenage children
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Petal is an 8 month old Bichon Frise puppy who came to us from a breeder. She is a nervous little girl but is brave and pushes herself to do things out of her comfort zone. Her instinct is to run and hide, but you can then see her stop and allow herself to be picked up and cuddled after seeing that we are safe people and want to love her.

She has made amazing progress over the past weeks in foster, going from only eating alone in her safe place, to now happily sharing a bowl with other dogs and enjoying her food.

As Petal is nervous, she will need a confident resident dog(s) to learn from. She likes to sit and watch other dogs to see what they do and will then tentatively give things a try for herself.

She would benefit from an adult only home or a home with older children who aren’t too boisterous as she is scared of strange sounds and fast movements.

Petal has had a little go at walking on a lead but she is still very scared of outdoors at the moment, so this will be a work in progress.

She will need calm and patient family to help her learn that life can be less scary and give her love and reassurance.

Petal is clean in the house with no accidents and she loves exploring the garden where she knows she is safe. She will sleep happily in a crate or on the bed and sleeps all night.

Petal has started to enjoy playing with toys which is a joy to see and is learning to play with our resident dogs.

Petal loves to be cuddled and kissed and has started to give gentle licky kisses in return. She really is the perfect little puppy and has been a quiet and clean house guest here. Petal is in good health and has been neutered. Her fur is growing back beautifully after being cut short. She will need to be groomed regularly to prevent her becoming matted. Whomever adopts this beautiful little soul will be rewarded with the sweetest little girl who is loving, gentle and will be the perfect companion.

Blossom D2024-119

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with another non-dominent dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat tested
  • Would benefit from attending puppy classes to help with socialising.

Blossom is a very loving 8 month old Bichon Frise pup who came to us from a breeder.

Her absolute favourite thing in the world will be you! She loves humans so much and just wants to shower you with affection by licking you and snuggling in to you. She is more human orientated than dog orientated and for this reason, she can be an only dog. She could go to a family with a non dominant resident dog, but she can become worried that you’re going to give the other dog(s) her attention and will growl at them, so this will need to be monitored carefully and discouraged.

Blossom would benefit from some puppy training classes to help her with socialising. She can be nervous of new noises she hasn’t experienced before, so an adult only home or a home with older children would be best. She will need a home where someone is home most of the day.

Blossom’s perfect life would be a calm home with a comfortable lap to sit on. She just wants someone who will make her feel loved and safe and allow her to sleep on their lap (and in their bed). In return she will keep you company by following you around all day so you never feel alone and she’ll snuggle up to you at night to keep you safe.

Blossom will need someone who is patient to give her time to decompress and get used to her new home. She is, however, confident and eager to learn, so I’m sure this will be a smooth process. She has been clean in the house with no accidents so far. She has had a little try of walking on a lead and although this will take time to build up to walks outdoors, I feel she will pick it up easily.

Blossom eats well, is neutered and is looking more and more beautiful every day as her fur grows back after having it clipped short. She will be picture perfect in no time at all and will need regular grooming appointments to prevent her getting matted.

Blossom has a grade 1 heart mumur which needs no treatment at present but will need to be monitored. We can advise further on this at the application stage. Overall, Blossom is a very sweet and loving little girl who will be the perfect companion dog for someone. She has been the perfect house guest but is now ready for her forever family to take her home and show her how wonderful life can be.

Hapus D2024-122

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Ignores cats
  • Dog savvy children over 10
  • Patient family who will give her time to blossom

Hapus is an 8.5 month old Bichon who has really come out of her shell lately. She is loving cuddles on foster mums lap and loves to sleep close to her at night. Foster mum is often awoken to a furry little white thing staring at her lovingly. Her current favourite hobby is following foster mum around the house and garden.

This lovely sweet girl loves a cuddle. She’s also discovering toys can be great fun. She likes to chew bones and roll a ball around and when she has the zoomies she’s like a rocket running round! Trusting humans can still be a challenge for her and she can get scared and shy but given time to process, she learns to accept others. If cheese is involved, she can be sitting on a new person’s lap in under 5 minutes!

Hapus has no problem wearing a harness and enjoys walks which are on the quieter side. We are sure as  her confidence grows, she will start enjoying going further afield and we can’t wait to hear about  her adventures. As with most ex breeders she can become nervous when out and about and she needs support and time to process what is going on around her. This way all her adventures are positive and she learns to understand that people and the outdoor world is not going to hurt her.

Hapus has been cat tested and as she’s the same size as a fully grown cat she takes them in her stride and ignores them.

Hapus will do well in a home where children are old enough to understand that she takes time to feel comfortable and that they initially would need to wait until she feels she can approach them. Whilst acknowledging this can often depend on the temperament of the children it would probably be best if the children are aged 10 plus.

Hapus loves to watch other dogs and were confident with the right little partner in crime she will be running around with them in no time.

She currently sleeps on her foster carers bed along with the other resident dog and sleeps all night long.

Hapus is completely house trained and will bark to go outside to toilet.  Currently she prefers company when outside in the garden as she can be surprised by new sounds and will run back into the house if she’s uncertain of what’s going on.

Currently, Hapus is fed in a quiet spot, she has no guarding issues but were not sure if food has been used as a way to ‘capture’ her in the past and she can become nervous and not eat. Foster mum is also making sure that she eats all her food as she can easily be pushed off her food by another dog.

Hapus will do well in most homes as long as it’s calm whilst she settles in. She’s incredibly sweet and will blossom even more with lots of love and a little patience. She needs a resident dog to continue her attempts at breaking the land zoomy speed record with and to have someone to continue to learn from.

Gladys D2024-116

  • Needs a resident dog for confidence
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient and understanding family

Gladys is a 6 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a nervous little lady who is starting to come out of her shell and gaining in confidence daily. She is starting to enjoy the attention she is getting and is doing little woofs to ask for fuss. This is new and shows that she is staring to relax and trust.

Gladys hasn’t had a good life until now and has quickly learnt that home comforts are the best.  She is now climbing onto the sofa and loves to snuggle down close falling into a deep sleep.

She loves the garden and has really been enjoying the sun we have been having. She has been watching the birds and the butterflies and enjoying the sun on her back for what is probably the first time in her life.

She has not started lead and harness training as she needed time to decompress but once settled in her forever home she will let you know when she is ready to explore a little more. Be warned however she loves the bath and lies down in it so we expect her to be a real puddle hunter once she has found her paws.

Not cat or small furry tested.

She can be rehomed with older dog savvy children.

She is mostly toilet trained and needs a routine and to be allowed access to the garden to help this continue.

Gladys enjoys her food and is eating well. She is currently being fed away from the resident dogs as she is easily pushed off her food. She is learning what treats are and is taking these gently from a hand.

Gladys needs a home with a resident dog for confidence. She has made lots of steps forward but has a way to go and a sibling will help her get there. She can melt you with one look and just needs that unconditional love of a family.

Sir Cliff D2024-97

  • To be an only dog with doggy friends
  • Fine with cats
  • Visiting older children (children scare him)
  • Owners home most of the time

Cliff is a 7 Year old Yorkshire Terrier who has come back into rescue through no fault of his own and has settled in lovely. He was quiet, shy and very unsure of his new surroundings at first but has grown in confidence over the weeks. He is a fast learner and thrives on routine. Cliff is the most adorable, sweet little dog, who will definitely melt your heart with his beautiful little face ,he adores humans and gets on well with the resident dog.

Cliff will follow you wherever you go especially if you have food. He is also independent and will take himself off on his own to think and relaxand when he wants to sit with you he will either sit there and stare at you or he will tap the settee or your leg to let you know he wants your company and cuddles.

Cliff will greet you with a waggy tail when you come home, but love is on his terms. He lets you know when he wants to be made a fuss off. He can be shy especially when meeting new people.

Has seizures which is controlled by medication.

Cliff has just started to copy my dogs and has started to play with soft toys he likes to go to the dog toy box and pick out a toy and carry it around take it to his dog bed and play. On a few occasions he has gone and fetched a toy if it’s been thrown for him. The resident dogs have tried to initiate play, but Cliff hasn’t been interested.

Cliff is absolutely fine with the resident cat and has paid absolutely no attention to her.

Cliff is scared of children so will be happier to live without them. He would be okay with older sensible visiting children.

Cliff absolutely loves his walks, he gets so excited when he sees his lead and harness. He is an absolute pleasure to walk. He has met a few dogs on a walk but is not a fan of bigger dogs.

Cliff sleeps with his foster mum and the resident dogs on the bed, but sometimes sleeps in a dog bed at the side of foster mums bed.

Cliff has been the perfect house guest and has had no accidents. He will take himself off outside to go or if the door is closed he will go to the door and wait for you to let him out .

Cliff eats with the other dogs and is absolutely fine, he adores food and looks forward to it. When he has treats he waits his turn patiently and will gently take them out of your hand.

Cliff has had a bit of a rough life lately and needs an extra special person to call his own. He needs someone who will love and cherish him, who will be there just for him. He is such a special, sweet dog .He needs a quiet calm home as an only dog but would benefit from having regular contact with doggie friends of a similar size. He is more settled if he has a routine, so will need someone who is home most of the time. He really is a beautiful little dog and would make a lovely companion.

Mickey is a 6 month old Bichon who came into foster as a quiet and nervous little boy, his confidence around people is growing day by day, he’s very pleased to greet you when you enter the room, enjoying a good ear rub and on occasions a tummy rub.

He’s a very inquisitive boy, follows you everywhere. He’s very food orientated and will do anything for a treat, very gentle when receiving one.

Lead training has been very successful and he really enjoys his walks and get excited when the leads come out. He’s ventured to the woods and the beach on a long training lead which was very positive, he thoroughly enjoyed running around and playing. As soon as he realises, he’s being left behind he runs to catch up.

Mickey is very playful with other dogs but also happy to play by himself doing zoomies around the garden, he is still quite shy of strangers and stays just out of reach but soon comes round by nudging his nose on you.

He’s happy to sit on the sofa/lap for cuddles.

He sleeps in a crate at night in the same room as his foster sisters, he’s happy around the house and will settle in any bed including his crate for a nap.

Not cat or small furry tested but is young enough to learn.

Dog savvy children, not tested with young children.

Fully house trained, we’ve had no accidents, he goes all night in his crate.

Mickey is fine eating around other dogs, looks at their bowls but by the time he’s finished his food, the other bowls are empty, no food aggression.

As Mickey is still a puppy, he would suit most households but would need time for training and confidence building. He’s a lovely little man who just needs a chance. He needs to be homed with a resident dog to learn from.

Florence (Flo) D2024-109

  • Can be an only dog if owners around most of the time
  • Can also live with other dogs
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children

Flo is a 6 year old Shih Tzu that came into foster as quite a nervous little girl but is starting to trust more and more every day. She likes people and when you gain her trust, she’ll wag her tail and sit close. She’s learning that cuddles are a good thing and is enjoying them more and more. She has the sweetest nature in all situations but can be nervous meeting new people in the home or out on a walk. She becomes hesitant and needs reassurance.

As Flo’s confidence grows, she is becoming less shy and scared and is developing quite a playful, cheeky nature. She’s starting to play with toys and seems to have discovered the zoomies! She makes her foster mum laugh every day. She has also recently learned that sitting on laps is a good thing but she needs to be picked up for this to happen. She’s the sweetest little girl.

She is not cat or small furry tested but we have a feeling she would be more scared of a cat than a cat would be of her.

At the moment, Flo benefits from a quiet home but could well adjust to having older children around. She’s not a fan of loud noises and has stopped in her tracks when walking in the vicinity of younger children playing.

Flo has only just started to play with toys with her foster mum and is still learning how to have fun with them.

She’s great on a lead and is a pleasure to walk.

Flo prefers to sleep on a blanket rather than in a dog bed at the moment and sleeps in the lounge at night with the other dog in the house.

She hasn’t had a single accident whilst in foster care and in order to encourage her to do her business at the bottom of the garden rather than close to the house, she benefits from someone walking down the garden with her.

Flo loves a treat which she takes gently. She’s hasn’t quite learnt that they are not all for her yet and will try her luck with treats being given to other dogs. She can eat around other dogs but isn’t shy of going to see if there’s any left in another dogs bowl once she’s finished hers.

Flo loves a walk and calm surroundings. Her new family will need patience whilst her confidence continues to grow and would suite anyone who can offer this. Another dog in the home to help her continue to learn to trust would be a real benefit. She could also be an only dog with owners around most of the time and lots of doggy friends to play with.

Kye D2024-

  • To be adopted on a neutering and training agreement
  • Can be an only dog or live with others
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Dog savvy children

Kye is an 11 week old Westie described by his foster family as a very confident little puppy who loves to play with all dogs despite their size. He is fearless and barks at them until they will play with him. He loves people and is very friendly. He understands the word NO is he is becoming a little OTT.

He’s a little adventurer and tries to clamber up onto things so currently you need eyes in the back of your head to make sure he doesn’t fall and injure himself.

Despite being fearless and a little nawty, when his batteries are running low he happily calms down and enjoys a snuggle.

He is super playful and loves toys or anything else that gets his attention. He is happy to play on his own or with others.

He is not cat or small furry tested.

He is good with children and enjoys their attention but he does currently have baby shark teeth as a puppy so they need to understand.

Lead and harness training is a work in progress. He is happy to wear a harness but is not sure what to do with the thing that attaches to it. This will come with time, patience and some puppy classes.

Kye currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs.

Toilet training is a work in progress he poos outside but wees on a puppy pad.

He is fine eating around others and knows how to share.

Kye could be an only dog or live with another. He would be an amazing addition to any family as he has a great character. He has everything going for him and now just need to find that perfect home. A nice home with a family who will help with his training and become a well-rounded rescue ambassador.

JPR Williams D2024-101

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient parents

JPR is a 10 month old Bichon described by his foster mum as a nervous little man who gets a little braver every day and will even now give a gentle nose boop on your leg when he thinks you’re not looking. Despite looking like a cuddly little lamb and being the sweetest and prettiest little Bichon his foster mum has ever seen he is a sensitive soul prone to be dramatic.
He adores toys. He doesn’t really play with them though. His most joyful moments are when he chooses a toy from the toy box, and trots out of the room to place it on the stairs. It’s very cute, although he could just be trying to kill us by creating an obstacle course on the hall stairs.
He won’t allow contact from people, but enjoys a good wrestle with his brother. He will bark at random things, like the chair, then run away. He comes across as a delicate boy, but we believe he has the potential to ‘puppy up’ and grow in to his sassy bark.
Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn.
At his age he should be full of joy, and wanting children to play with him, but he is very scared. In his case he could be rehomed with older teenage children who might help him find the fun in life.
JPR LOVES his toys. He will grab a toy and take it to his bed to destroy. However, he easily gives it up if challenged by one of the resident dogs. He’s a chewer, so leather toys work well. He will play tug with another dog if they are up for the challenge.
JPR loves his walks so much! He’s only confident with another dog for support but he’s positively joyful when he gets to the park or secure field. He comes off lead at the secure field and responds to his name with great recall and he’s fast as a whippet! It’s as if all his fear goes when he gets grass under his feet.
He currently sleeps downstairs with the resident dogs. Sleeping happily in his crate.
JPR is completely house trained.
He is currently fed separately as he is easily bullied. He takes treats from an outstretched hand and has started to actively come looking for them. His favourite is corned beef and cheese.
JPR needs a quiet, patient home that will take him on adventures when he is ready. Not a multi-dog household. JP needs a playful best friend who can teach him to trust. He is going to need a really special person to teach him to love not to fear.

Milton Everest D2024-99

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient parents

Milton is 6 month old Shihtzu Cross described by his foster mum as a nervous little man who is trying to be brave. He is improving every day but it’s a slow process. He likes to think he’s a gangster, the way he struts around but is quite easily scared. He will sit on the sofa near you, but if you move he’s off. He has come a long way, and progresses more each day.

He is happy to go out in to the garden to do his business but won’t ask.

He will come forward for corned beef but will freeze when picked up. When you can catch him, he’s easy to groom or administer meds.

House training is a work in progress but is difficult due to him being too scared to accept treats or praise.

Not cat or small furry tested

He’s a young boy and having an older child to play with him might be nice, but any children need to understand he’s a sensitive little man who needs time to decompress and move on.

Harness and lead training is a work in progress. He is nervous and freezes when one is put on and any pressure applied.

He currently sleeps in a crate, in a dog pen and sleeps all night.

Milton is easily pushed away from his food by more dominant pups and won’t currently take treats from hand yet, but is very interested.

Milton needs a resident dog in order to trust and learn how to dog.  However, he can be quite independent at times too. Being a puppy farm baby he will need a kind, patient home, where he can learn and grow slowly. He is a fantastic little lad, with so much potential. It would be nice to see some sass behind his struts.

Daley Thompson D2024-104

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient home

Daley is a 7 year old Shitzu described by his foster mum as a scared little boy who is unsure of new people he meets. He can become vocal when meeting new people. Daley has not yet learnt to walk on a lead so slow introductions to the lead in the garden first is a must with a resident dog to show the way. He appears to be more unsure of men to start with and warms quicker to woman when he first meets them but in time foster mum thinks that could be resolved with more interactions with men as there in none currently in the foster home.

Daley is a scared little boy who shows he’s unsure of people he meets by grumbling under his breath. He will bark on first meeting but if ignored he eventually he will settle.

Daley needs another confident dog so that he can learn not to be scared and to help him decompress.

Due to Daley being scared of loud noises and new people older teenage children would be ok but not young children.

Daley has not yet learnt to play with toys. He is quite happy snoozing in his dog bed or having a cuddle of reassurance from his foster mum.

Lead training is a work in progress once outside he will freeze as he’s unsure what to do so slow introductions to the outside world is a must.

Daley sleeps in the kitchen all night with the resident dog.

House training is work in progress

Daley has no problems eating his food and has no resource guarding

Daley needs a quiet understanding and patience home that will help him decompress and understand he doesn’t need to be afraid of humans. He will definitely need A resident dog that will help him learn that life is fun and there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Flo Jo D2024-103

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient pawrents

Flo Jo is a 6 year old Bichon described by her foster mum as a typical puppy farm girl. She’s unsure of humans and will run and bark when she meets someone new. Once she learns to decompress and trust she’s a darling girl that’s happy to snuggle alongside her humans for short intervals or snuggle in the dog bed on the floor with the resident dog. Walking on a lead is new and scary to her so slow introductions to the lead and harness and walking around the garden is advised to start then building up to outside once confident.

Flo jo is a scared little girl that needs time to settle and trust. Once she trusts she gives little licks and is happy for you to stone her beautiful face.

Flo jo needs a resident dog in the home to learn from she would not adapt or flourish in a home on her own.

Due to her being scared and unsure of humans older children that understand to give her space to decompress will be better for her.

Flo jo has not learnt to play with toys yet but I’m sure she will in the right home and dog to learn from

Tippi D2023-116

  • Could be an only dog with lots of doggy friends
  • Could live with other dogs
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Adores children

Tippi was returned to us through no fault of her own and since being back in foster she has sadly lost her mum. Tippi as a 5 year old Shitzu is gain looking for her forever home. She is very friendly, likes children of any age and adores a fuss.

When out on a walk she can be a little nervous at first but she takes her cues from her handler and another dog. When out she loves a walk exploring off lead in a field. She will come when called and just enjoys following the other dogs.

She wants to play with other dogs in her foster home but she is still a little sad after losing her mum. We are sure that given time when she’s comfortable she will start playing again.

In the home she loves lazing around and being wherever you are. Her absolute favourite thing is to sunbathe but her forever parents will need to be careful that she doesn’t over heat or get burnt.

Not cat or small furry tested.

Tippi can be homed with children of any age as long as they want to play with her.

She currently sleeps in the kitchen all night with no issues

She is fully house trained.

She is a very good eater and does not snatch treats.

Tippi would like a home where she will get lots of attention, cuddles and love. She needs a resident playful dog around her to bring her  back out of her shell. She needs the stimulation of children or grandchildren as she just loves it. She is a young dog and deserves to be in a home where she can play and be adored. She could possibly be an only dog with an owner around most of the time with doggy friends.

Seren D2024-106

  • Needs a resident dog for confidence
  • Not cat tested
  • Older dog savvy children or no children
  • Patient parents to help her grow

Seren is a 3 year old cocker spaniel who loves people, a fuss and cuddles. She can initially be nervous and cautious and will watch and come to you when she is ready. She took a week of being in foster before she snuck up and nudged foster mums hand to stroke her but will still dash away at any sudden movement or noise. She likes a safe place she can rest in and watch the world go by. Currently she is using an open crate so she can sit and watch what’s happening. She is not yet ready to go on walks and needs very gradual introduction to leads, walking and the big world.

Seren is nervous but gaining in confidence every day. She watches the other dogs and comes out of her crate to join in when she feels brave enough. Her tail is constantly wagging and she loves a fuss, being stroked and cuddled.

Not cat or small furry tested

She has not met any children in foster but as she is a very sweet and loving dog she would probably like gentle children. Her notes state she can resource guard children against other dogs, so probably a home with only occasional children visiting or older dog savvy children.

She does not really understand yet what toys are but that is a joy for her to discover.

Harness and lead working is a work in progress. It is early days but she is learning that a lead is not scary by being fed sausages whilst wandering around with a lead on. Ongoing work will be needed to help her feel safe and secure but in a home with experienced owners of nervous rescue dogs, her training will come on leaps and bounds.

Seren prefers to sleep in an open crate at night but during the day she is getting braver and snoozing on dog beds outside the crate but near to foster mum.

Totally house trained, not a single accident.

She prefers to eat in her open crate. She is not bothered at all with other dogs around and she knows her food is just for her and no one will take it. She also knows not to approach another dog that is eating. She is used to having her treats in her open crate but will easily learn to wait and sit for a treat.

Seren would love a quiet home with a similar sized dog who is friendly and kind and able to help her adjust and teach her all the things she needs to know about living as a pet dog. She has had a go at being a pet in foster and she has decided she quite likes it. She would love humans who are at home most the time, gentle, kind and patient and don’t rush her to do too much at once. She likes to watch and learn and join in when she is ready. She insists on having a home where she is talked to so she can wag her tail constantly, a lot of reassurance, stroking, brushing and cuddles. She gets on with everyone, people and dogs and is just adorable and gorgeous and craves love and affection.

Rex D2024-108

  • Could be an only dog
  • Could also live with another dog
  • Dog savvy children
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Rex is an 8 month old Yorkie cross puppy described by his foster mum as a very friendly fur baby who loves everyone especially those who like to be kissed. He is super cute but is also a typical puppy who will push boundaries. He’s very affectionate and loves a cuddle. Typical of most puppies he is in to everything and likes to be where you are following you everywhere. He has loads of energy is very playful but also cheeky.

He has not been cat tested but did put his brave boy pants on one day and chased a cat out of the garden. He is young enough to learn with patient pawrents.

He can be homed with dog savvy children as he loves to show off his zoomy skills to them but they must be aware that he is not a toy and they need to be gentle with him.

Rex plays on his own but also adores a game of tug of war. He will play fetch if he is in the mood but his favourite game is playing chase with you around the garden.

Rex loves a walk but is a bit like a Tasmanian devil on the end of a lead. He is excited to meet everyone people and dogs alike. He needs a little more experience and would benefit from attending puppy class.

Rex sleep downstairs in a dog bed in the kitchen, settling well and sleeping all night. He does not like a crate and will scream if put in one.

Housetraining is almost there and if the back door is open he has never had an accident. He doesn’t tell you when he needs to go so needs to be taken out often if the door is closed and will soon get into a routine.

He loves other dogs and is very friendly but can be a bit nervous with bigger dogs.

Rex is on times 100 miles a minute so an active family would suit him best. He could be an only dog if his parents are home most of the time, but another dog around his age would benefit him.

  • Can be an only dog with owners home most of the time
  • Can also live with other dogs
  • Not cat tested but could learn
  • Dog savvy children 5 and over
  • Needs to attend puppy class

Rio is a 9 month old Dachshund who welcomes people into the home with a wagging tail whilst backing away. He enjoys cuddles on his own terms and will settle when he feels safe.

Rio until he gets to know you is a scared and nervous sausage who will back away from you if approached. However if you put your hand down, he will come sniff it but then backs away. He just needs time to decompress and trust.

Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn under supervision.

Rio can be homed with sensible children aged 5 and upwards.

Rio is not sure what to do with toys but foster mum will sit on the floor and encourage play time with a ball and squeaky toys. He will get there and beware any squeaky who comes his way when he finds his paws.

Wearing collar, lead and harness is a work in progress. He is fine with a collar and harness on but not a lover of the lead being attached, and will back away when he sees it. So patience is required to show him that it is a good thing.

During the day he sleeps in the living room in a dog bed, during the night he sleeps in a crate in the kitchen.

House training is going well, but accidents do happen occasionally. He needs a routine to keep him happy.

He is a good eater and eats fine around the other dogs with no resource guarding and will gently take treats from your hand.

Rio can be an only dog or live with other dogs. He will fit into any home as a great little dog with a family who will encourage and give him confidence to show.

Desert Orchid D2024-98

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn
  • Dog savvy children over 7
  • Patient and loving family

Orchid is 5 month old Westie cross described by her foster family as super friendly and loving once she knows you. She has not had the best start in life and is initially nervous of new people. She is getting out and about and learning about the big wide world. She is super quick to trust, but will hide behind foster mum initially when there are visitors in the home.

Once she feels safe she loves to cuddle up on the sofa. Currently she does not like being picked up as she does not feel safe so introductions to being picked up need to be slow and in her own time.

Orchid having not had toys before absolutely loves them now and this is a great way to gain her confidence and start building that bond. If you have a toy box. she is really good at emptying it but not so good at putting her toys box.

Not cat or small furry tested but is young enough to learn with supervision.

Orchid is a nervous little lady so but can be homed with dog savvy children who will understand she needs time to bond and build trust so we recommend children 7 and over.

Orchid will happily play with toys on her own but she is not so good at sharing. Having never had the good things in life before she does not like to share and will tell others off. Despite this when there are no toys or food around she loves to cuddle up to the resident dog.

Orchid is currently losing her baby teeth and is chewing anything she can get her teeth on so be warned lots of chew toys and re direction is currently needed. She needs positive guidance while she goes through this faze.

She is new to wearing a harness, collar and lead and is suspicious of your intentions. She is learning but will need time.

Currently Orchid sleeps happily in a crate all night.

Toilet training is still a work in progress. She will take herself out to the garden if the door is open but if she is playing or distracted, she can forget. She just needs a routine.

Orchid can be protective over her food and treats and will need monitoring

Orchid needs an active, fun home with owners who will help her overcome her nervousness. She can be homed as an only dog or with other dogs who will show her how to play and trust. Playing, going on adventures and just getting out and about will help build the bond and her confidence. She has not had the start that she should have had but we are adamant she will have the future she deserves.

Katie D2024-75

  • Need a resident dog
  • Good with cats
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient and loving family

Katie is a 5 month old Yorkie Cross described by her foster mum as a nervous little princess who is improving daily. She will keep her distance from people and will make herself as small as possible if you approach her. She is not aggressive in any way just scared. She is going to need time to decompress at her speed to finally be happy in her forever home.

Katie is a typical puppy farm rescue and does not like eye contact, for a little while you will need to look at her from the side and just marvel at how much she is growing and changing. Her foster mum has been approaching her without directly looking at her at Katie has been happy with this.

In the garden she is a completely different puppy she will run around with her tail wagging and playing with the resident dogs. It’s as if she hasn’t got a care in the world and this will eventually be the same when she is in the house. To get her back into the house she will follow the other dogs. During the first couple of days she looked for any way to escape the garden and spent most of her time hiding underneath the decking. So a secure garden is a must. She is now more at ease and loves her time out playing.

Katie loves other dogs and will need a confident and patient resident dog(s) to feel safe. She will climb onto the other dogs to feel safe when inside. Katie is in foster with a Staffie and can often be found hiding underneath him, as if she has her very own bodyguard.

She has met the resident cats and was swatted a couple of time from getting too close to one but there has been no aggression she was just curious to meet them.

Katie has lived with our dog savvy 9 year old son and had no problems. She would benefit from living with children who are similar age and over but they need to be dog savvy. She would not do well in a noisy super busy home.

Katie loves squeaky balls and soft toys both and will play with them on her own or with the resident dogs. She will run away from toys if they are thrown towards her.

Katie’s lead and harness walking is a work in progress. She became very panicked and distressed when put on a lead and would frantically bounce and roll to try and escape. This is being worked on but will take time for her to feel safe.

Katie currently sleeps in a puppy pen close to the resident dogs and sleeps all night.

Katie is still using puppy pads for night time but has only ever urinated on them. She will poo outside.

Katie loves her food but will not eat if you are watching her. She won’t take treats out of your hand or eat them if you are watching either. She will eat them when left alone.

Katie needs a quiet and patient home that are not expecting your average puppy. She needs a resident dog to learn and follow. One that won’t mind her cuddling up he can live with older dog savvy children. Katie needs a patient family who will help her understand that this is a good world and she is not in any danger. She will come but it will take time but being on that journey with her will be so rewarding.

Lulu D2024-74

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient pawrents

Lulu is an 8 year old Bichon described by her foster mum as an older little lady with loving eyes that melts anyone she shows care to. She is a gentle happy girl that loves to cuddle once she gets to know you.

During her life at some point she has broken her front leg, which has healed but she walks with a limp. She has been checked by our vets who have given her the all clear. Due to constantly being breed the leg has never had chance to build the bone density up, with advice from the vets Lulu may over time build this back. So a little cheese every day and a little puppy milk with quality food may do the job.

Lulu loves other dogs and follows them around all day. She has her favourites and has picked one to play with and one to sleep with and has been learning just how good life can be.

Lulu is being fed twice a day on a mix of wet food and dry mixed and eats really well. Having regular meals is helping her thrive.

Lulu will come when called and gently licks foster mums hand wagging her tail as she does. Once happy and settled she will let you pick her up and she loves laying on the sofa enjoying a gentle stroke.

Lulu is 99% house trained and learns routines very quickly.

Lulu has never walked on the lead and until she came into foster she had never walked on grass, her reaction was funny  and amazing but also sad. So now foster mum makes sure she has this feeling every day by allowing her access to the garden.

Lulu has slept downstairs or with foster mum on the bed and has slept all night.

Despite this lady having had quite a ruff start she would thrive in the right home with a family. She will need another dog or dogs to learn from. She can be homed with older dog savvy children and pawrents who are going to give her time to adjust.
