Coco D2024-170
• Needs a resident dog to learn from
• Older teenage children who will give her space
• Patient and loving family
Coco is a 2 year old mini Poodle described by his foster family as a shy and reserved little lady. She is still soaking in what it means to live in a home with people and likes to take a back seat and watch. She will need a lovely, patient family who are happy to let her adjust and come when she is ready. She is making huge strides each day, and when she is ready she will be the most amazing loyal little dog. Although she’s not currently keen on foster mum being hands on with her, and isn’t used to strokes, she’s always near me and takes comfort in being near a safe human. She really deserves a family who will give her a chance and have low expectations of her initially.
Coco would be happiest in a home with older teenage children who will understand that she needs her space until she is happy and settled and has gained some confidence.
Not cat or small furry tested
Coco does not currently play with toys but were confident once she is in her forever home with a family and furry brother or sister she will learn how much fun they are.
Lead and harness walking is going to take time and can only start once she is settled in her forever home.
Coco currently sleeps downstairs with the other fosters, she sleeps soundly all night and we don’t hear a peep from her.
Toilet training is getting there, and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason there should be any issues in this area.
Coco loves her food. There are 6 dogs in the home who all eat together with no issues.
The most important thing for Coco’s new home is a home that will be patient. She’s been through a lot in her short life and really needs time and space to adjust and not have huge expectations put on her. She needs a home that is happy for her to just sit back and watch, and then come to them in her own time. She would need to live with another small/medium breed dog, who can show her what it means to be a pet and that humans are safe.
