Holly D2025-01
• Holly can be an only dog with doggy friends
• Could also live with other dogs
• Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn
• Active home required as she needs both physical and mental stimulation
• Needs to attend puppy class
Holly is a 10 week old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a beautiful girl, great with people in the home and visitors, all she wants is to play and have cuddles. She has only had her 1st Vaccination so hasn’t been out on a walk.
Holly has a cute little bark and sharp teeth being a pup. She loves to follow foster mum around so you must be vigilant as she will be under your feet before you know it. If foster mum opens a packet of any kind Holly is there thinking it’s something yummy for her. She has learned to sit as she knows she has a treat as a reward for doing really well.
She is good with other dogs, all she wants to do is play, and she will adjust to being around small furries due to her age. She plays with toys on her own and with other dogs. Also plays tug with foster mum, and chases a ball in the garden. She is doing really well on a harness and lead in the garden, but will need to attend puppy classes.
She can be homed with children, but they must be mindful of her sharp teeth so I would say above 5 years old.
Holly sleeps downstairs in an open crate or upstairs during the night. During the day she will sleep on a dog bed in the living room.
House training is a work in progress. It’s hit and miss with a puppy pad but she is getting there. And will go out the garden if foster mum is out there.
She is fine eating around other dogs, and taking treats.
Holly has an active body and brain and will need to attend puppy class to help her be a well rounded rescue ambassador. She can be an only dog with doggy friends or live with other dogs. She would fit into most families but is going to be quite active. Neutering and training agreement
