Archie D2025-007 • Needs a doggy friend for snuggles • Can be homed with cats • Older dog savvy children Archie is a 4 year old pug described by his foster mum as a wonderful little puggle. He has the manners of a gentleman and greets everyone politely. He makes sure you know he is around and taps you for attention before snuggling up on your lap. These are very much up there as his favourite pastimes along with cuddling. He would be fine with older children and dog savvy cats. He isn’t greedy with food and needs to be watched in case others pinch it. He is house trained and asks to go out once he knows where the back door is. Boo D2025-12 APPLICATION LINK AT THE BOTTOM • Can be an only dog with doggy friends • Can also live with other dogs • Can live with a cat • She is really clever so would love puppy/training school • Sausage savvy family Boo is an 8 month old mini Dachshund who can be extremely excitable when she meets people coming into the home, she will jump up onto laps and lick faces and occasionally nip. She is now being set boundaries and is learning to settle quickly with her foster carer. When meeting the neighbours over the garden wall she can be a little shy but she is happy meeting people in the garden itself. She likes everyone but because of her tendency to test everything with her sharp piranha teeth Boo will only be homed with sensible dog savvy children. The vet advised some puppy teeth will need to be removed at the time of neutering. Boo has lived with a cat. She plays alone with her toys but if the resident dog has a toy Boo wants it and will bark to let everyone know. She also loves to play tug or fetch with her foster carer. Boo is great with a harness and lead and happily lets you put a harness on. She walks well and a lead and is great with dogs of all sizes. She is not the typical barky sausage when out and her foster mum has worked hard on her manners. She has a great recall and enjoys receiving fuss as a reward for being good. Boo sleeps downstairs in the same room as the resident dog but in a separate bed. A stair gate keeps her safely in place. The garden at night can be a little scary and Boo continues to benefit from having someone with her whilst she toilets. Loud or unfamiliar sounds can see her run back to the safety of the back door. Whilst she is now mostly house trained, she came into foster still using puppy pads. Getting her dry overnight is still a work in progress but she does use her puppy pad if she needs it. Boo eats around other dogs and has no guarding issues, she will however, try her paw at pinching another dogs food if left unattended. Boo needs a sausage experienced home with owners committed to not allowing her to be a barky drama queen. She is a small young girl with lots of energy and loves to be walked as much as she loves to snuggle. She could live with another small playful dog or a cat, she could also be an only dog as long as someone is home the majority of time. Boo is very bright and would really thrive in puppy class and with a family who are willing to devote some time to her future. She loves cuddles, to be picked up and most of all loves to be snuggled up next to her favourite human on the sofa. She is very sociable with visitors, especially if they bring treats.

Russ D2024-163 • Needs a resident dog • Fine with cats • Older dog savvy children • Patient owners Russ is a 4 year old Spaniel who likes to pretend he is scared and nervous but really, he is just storing up all his courage to be brave and adventurous. He has really come out of his shell in the last week and has now started chasing and playing with the resident dogs. His new favourite hobby is looking out the window doing his bit for neighbourhood watch. He has a very waggy tail and will let you stroke him and is happy to wander around watching what goes on. He’s still not made a noise but his tail never stops wagging and he just needs someone who understands that these things take time. He has started to investigate his foster home and now chooses to come into the living room with his foster pawrents and will lie on the floor but is definitely eyeing up the settee if he can just move the three small resident dogs to make room. He approaches to let you stroke him but it’s taken at his pace. He loves to go out in the garden even in the rain and can’t understand why the sausages in his foster home won’t follow him. He is fully housetrained if allowed access to the garden. He was happy to be stroked by the 7 year old but older children who will understand his signals. He is fine with cats totally ignores them. Good on harness and lead in the garden. Has not been out yet as not fully vaccinated and needs to settle in his home before trying. He will now choose to wander upstairs to sleep on the floor next to our bed and will put his feet up on the bed to see what his doggy pals are doing and is beginning to get up the guts to jump up. So beware it won’t be long before he’s sharing. He is fed in another room as he likes to wander and check what others have. He has quickly learnt what the biscuits tin is and if the other dogs aren’t around, he will take a treat from your hand. He has also just realised that good things happen in the kitchen and has realised the worktops are where the interesting smells come from. He hasn’t taken anything but given the opportunity maybe he would try. Russ needs a home with a resident dog to show him how to dog. Someone who is around most of the time so you can bond. Once he has built his confidence, we are sure he will really enjoy his walkies and adventures. He is good with children but a busy, noisy household would not suit. He just needs to take things slowly to build his confidence and he will really shine. Callie could live with any aged children, as long as they are old enough to know she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13. Not cat or small furry tested. Learning to walk on a lead and harness is a work in progress and this will take time to be worked on with her new family once settled. She is starting to figure out what it is all about and will get there with the help of a fur sibling. She currently sleeps in a bed in the kitchen and sleeps quietly all night. She is house trained but as with all adopted dogs she will need her new family to set her up for success for this to continue. All 5 dogs in the home eat together without issue. Callie would suit most homes, she will need a home that’s reasonably active as she thoroughly enjoys getting out to use that spaniel nose of hers. She must live with another small or medium sized dog as she relies on the other dogs for confidence and for learning how to behave. She is a beautiful little lady who is an absolute delight and whoever rehomes her is going to be so so lucky. Pumpkin D2024-164 • Needs a resident dog to learn from and enjoy adventures with • Older dog savvy children • Fine with dog savvy cats • Would benefit from attending puppy class Pumpkin is a 12 month old Shitzu Cross described by his foster family as initially a bit wary but soon joins in with wherever his foster brother is up to. He will soon tell you off if you aren’t giving him enough attention. He enjoys standing on the windowsill with his foster siblings and doing their bit for neighbourhood watch. He is happy around children who are dog aware and would make a great adventure companion once he has made friends with them. He follows the lead of another dog to feel confident and safe. He currently chases the family cat – because his foster brother does, but a dog savvy cat who would tell him off is all he would need. He plays with dogs and toys if the other dogs are and bounces around like a lamb when playing. He makes you smile watching him and it’s impossible to feel sad when pumpkin is around even when he’s doing something he shouldn’t as he just gives u a cheeky look with his deep eyes and he could charm anyone. He will wear a harness but doesn’t really like the lead but this is being worked on. Lots of encouragement and positive rewards help. At the moment he goes to a secure field with the other dogs and when you let him go, he’s like a whizzing, jumping firework or newborn lamb. He currently sleeps on the bottom of fosters bed as this is where his foster brother sleeps. As long as you remind him to go out and give him ample opportunity, he is almost fully house trained. He will follow the other dogs out and is learning from them. He eats well with the other dogs and waits until his name is called and bowl put down. He will take treats but can sometimes hold back a bit so the treat is put on the floor for him. He knows when treats are expected and if on a walk, he will stay quite close to the person with the treats so he doesn’t miss out. He will remind you if you forget to give him a treat after he has done well. So training works both ways. Pumpkin needs a family who will take him on adventures but understand that he needs work on a lead. He loves being cuddled up and will happily do lazy days, when you need a bit of down time. He needs a resident dog to learn from and he really enjoys an adventure buddy to chase and cuddle. Berry D2024-151 • Needs a resident dog • Can live with dog savvy cats • Can be homed with sensible older children • Would benefit from attending puppy class Berry is a 10 month old Bichon described by her foster mum as a gentle girl who is lovely with people. Berry can be homed with sensible children over 10 as little ones would scare her. Berry lives with three cats and will sometimes do a low growl when she sees them, mainly because they warned her with a swipe when she came to stay that the cats are boss. Berry plays with toys alone, however with a playful dog she would almost definitely play with them. Berry is not yet walking on a lead. She loves the garden but is very scared in the big outdoors and the sound of a car going past will send her into a frenzy. Her family must make sure they keep her safe with a three point harness and the garden must be secure. Berry doesn’t like the harness and lead as yet, she can be difficult to catch to pop them on, but is interested as to why the other resident dogs get excited when they see the harness. Berry sleeps downstairs with the other dogs she has been invited to sleep upstairs with foster mum and one of the resident dogs but as yet she hasn’t taken up the opportunity House training is ongoing. Berry will scoff all the food she sees if allowed and in record time. This is probably due to not having been given regular meals previously. She came into foster very skinny but is now putting on weight slowly. She eats in a crate or a separate room to make sure she doesn’t steal the other dogs food. We would also recommend she have a slow feeder. Berry would like a home with an active family who have a resident dog to give her confidence on her walkies and in general. She needs a patient family who will advocate for her in the first instance until she feels confidence. She would really benefit from attending puppy classes to socialise and build a bond with her family. Dazzle D2024-158 • Needs a resident dog • Not cat or small furry tested • Dog savvy children Dazzle is a 4 year old Cavapoo described by her foster mum as a proper people’s dog, wherever foster mum is there she is, and if foster mum is on the move she is one step behind. She loves to cuddle and be stroked and is desperate to be a lap dog! She can be a little shy initially but it doesn’t take her long to wag that tail and come for a fuss. Dazzle could live with all aged children providing they are old enough to understand she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13 Not cat or small furry tested. She doesn’t understand what toys are yet but we are sure she could learn. Lead and harness training is a work in progress but the more she trusts you the more willing she will be. Dazzle sleeps on a bed on the floor in her fosterers room and sneaks on the bed if she thinks she can get away with it. House training is doing amazingly and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she shouldn’t continue to be clean in the home. All 5 dogs in the home eat together without issue, she does have a tendency to let others steal her food so is watched to make sure she eats her food without helpers. Dazzle would suit a variety of homes, she is confident and adaptable. The most important attribute is that there is someone who is around most of the time to give her company and snuggles, she would need a resident similar sized dog as she gets great comfort from curling up with her small/medium breed friends.
She is happy to be left home with the other dogs and doesn’t make a peep, she is truly a joy to look after and will be thoroughly missed. Neutered Vaccinated. Pixie D2024-159 • Needs a resident dog to learn from • Not cat or small furry tested • Dog savvy children • Would benefit from attending puppy classes Pixie is a15 Month Old Poodle described by her foster mum as a super friendly girl. She can be a little shy at first but once she realises you are kind she will come over for strokes and cuddles. Pixie is great with kids and could live with any age children that are old enough to understand that she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13. She is not tested with cats or small furries. She hasn’t quite learnt what toys are for yet but she enjoys a good rough and tumble with the resident labradors. She hasn’t been far yet as she is not fully vaccinated but has walked to the vets and was very good on the lead, this will improve with practice once she is fully vaccinated. She is quite happy to sleep anywhere as long as she has some doggy company, she has slept downstairs with the other dogs, on a bed on the bedroom floor and in the bed itself. She is doing amazingly with her house training and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she won’t continue to be clean in the house. All 5 dogs in residence eat together with no issues. She does have a tendency to ‘sample’ the other dogs food so something to be aware of if her new fur siblings would not like this. Pixie would suit a wide variety of homes. She is young and confident so still very malleable, she’d be just as happy in a busy family home as in a quiet older home. Her only must is that she needs a canine companion, she relies heavily on the other dogs in the home for company and learning how to be a dog. Acorn D2024-152 • Can be an only dog with doggy friends can also love with another dog • Older dog savvy children • Would benefit from attending puppy class • Patient family Acorn is a 11 month old Westie who after being in foster has become a bright little girl. She loves attention and being brushed. Now she has found her paws foster mum says she is into everything. She is jumping about playing with toys, chewing ,and asking for attention. She will play with toys on her own or with another playful dog.
She still gets her quiet times and likes to go under the shelves in her safe area but comes out quickly if she thinks she’s missing something and is quiet and cuddly with foster mum when there are visitors. She can be rehomed with gentle dog savvy children over 5. She will run up and asked to be picked up on sofa, even though she can jump up and will push in for the best position next to foster mum.
Acorn adores the garden and loves a good zoomies. Especially if one of her friends has come around for a play date. Then its game on of who can run the fastest. Despite loving a good play she also enjoys it when they go home and she gets foster mum all to herself for snuggles and treats. She is still worried when she can hear people and cars and is not keen on walking on the pavements but is getting better every day she just needs practice with her forever family. Not cat or small furry tested.
She currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs.
Acorn is now completely house trained.
She loves her food but doesn’t really like sharing so if there is another dog in the home she will need to be fed separate or watched. She is just being a bit of a princess after having a ruff start and doesn’t know how to share.
Acorn can be an only dog with doggy friends or can live with another dog but her pawrents will have to teach her how to share nicely. She is still very young as is only now being given rules to follow so it’s all a bit new to her. She would suit most homes but is not super active. She is fine being left with other dogs for short periods.
Rosemary -D2024-147 • Needs a resident dog for confidence • Older dog savvy children • Not cat or small furry tested Rosemary is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a timid, gentle soul who is lacking in confidence and at the moment is very dependent on the resident dogs to show her that all will be okay and she is safe now. She loves cuddles in her safe space, which is an open crate with lots of nice, warm fluffy blankets. She is still decompressing and is enjoying spying on foster mum watching what she gets up to. She is not yet looking for fuss and attention but her tail is wagging non stop and she is almost there. Rosemary has a cheeky side when unobserved and will pinch anything not tidied away or left on worksurfaces. This is not her fault no one has loved her enough before to teach her the house rules. So be warned if you leave it out, she thinks its hers and will take it off to her safe place for a chew and cuddle. She doesn’t know the joy of toys yet and also likes to chew on these. She is starting to enjoy being brushed and this will need to continue in her forever home to make her confident to go to the groomers. Rosemary can live with older dog savvy children who have the patience and time to encourage her to integrate into the home without fear. Not cat or small furry tested. She has been for her first walk today out in the big wide world and although nervous she coped extremely well. Foster mum met some friends when out and after commenting how pretty Rosemary is and giving her time to relax, she allowed some gentle pets. This will continue with her foster mum but she really needs a new big brother or sister to show her all the joys the world has to offer our princess. She sleeps soundly in her crate in the kitchen She is almost fully house trained. She will always toilets in the garden when out. So she needs a routine and nice treats when she has done good. She has no food issues and is starting to enjoy having good food and regular meals. She eats her food slowly and will need to be watched to make sure no other dogs scare her off her food. She is also learning what treats are and takes these gently. Rosemary needs a home with a confident resident dog of similar size and a family that can give her time and patience to become a loving companion. She will come out of her shell and it will be joyous to watch. This girl has a bright future in front of her and needs her family to be her guiding light. Pearl D2024-150 • Needs a resident dog • Good with cats • Older teenage children or no children Pearl is a 4 year old Cavashon who at present is very wary around humans, she needs time and patience to learn to trust. Despite her nervousness she already responds to gentle voices and encouragement and wants very much to be part of the family. She is getting braver every day. She has never shown any form of aggressive or reactive behaviour to her humans or dog friends. Her foster family all agree that pearl is an absolute sweetheart. Pearl’s personality is emerging daily and foster mum says she’s an adorable little girl who melts your heart. She gives sweet little licks and gets so excited when she sees her foster mum in the morning. Her cheeky side is starting to emerge too, any dropped tissues are pounced on with joy! Pearl is absolutely lovely with her foster family’s cat. She will walk around with him in the garden which is so cute as they are almost the same size! Pearl needs a quieter home, so an adult only house or a family with older, dog savvy teenagers would best meet her needs. Pearl is quickly learning the joy of playing with toys. She will choose one to chew or lick and take it up onto the settee. She loves watching the resident dogs play together, and will also pinch her foster mum’s ball of wool given half a chance! Pearl hasn’t been outside her foster homes garden yet. She is happy to wear a mesh harness and is learning not to be afraid of walking on a lead. All she needs is practice and a calm dog to learn from. Pearl sleeps in a soft dog bed, cuddled up to her foster sister, next to her foster parent’s bed. Sometimes she has the cutest little snore! Pearl is learning quickly to follow the resident dogs outside to toilet. She sleeps right through the night with no accidents. Pearl absolutely loves her food and treats, her little tail wags and wags when she sees her bowl coming! She does not resource guard her food at all. Peari will thrive in a quieter environment with someone home most of the time. She is a small, gentle dog and boisterous children and a hectic home could cause anxiety and distress for her. She needs a safe, secure garden to play in and a kind, friendly dog to help her feel safe and to learn from. Meg D2024-148 • Can be an only dog • Can live with another dog • Not cat tested • Older family who will adore her Meg is a 9 year old black Labrador who loves people, especially women. She enjoys a quiet life and loves her cuddles and belly rubs. She is happy to come and meet people with her tail wagging and loves it if she is made a fuss of. She is very much a people dog. She enjoys her walks and is always happy to meet people along the way. She is still a bit bewildered to find herself in new surroundings but is in foster due to no fault of her own. Not cat tested but has not reacted to cats whilst out on walks. Meg is fine with children, happy to be around them and have fusses. She would be happy to have children visiting now and again if not living with them but quieter older children as she would not cope with boisterous youngsters. Meg has her own toys but is not yet ready to play with them but once settles she would probably like to play again. Meg loves her walks and gets excited when having her lead on. She is walked on a slip lead and will initially pull a little out of excitement, but soon settles and loves to jog around the fields with her tail wagging. She is happy to be walked on her own or with other dogs. She walks really well on the lead and is not bothered by traffic. Meg currently sleeps on a rug with her blankets in a room away from the resident dogs. She has been into the living room and climbed on the sofa. In a home without other dogs she would probably love to be a sofa/lap dog but at 36kg probably a sofa dog would be better!. Meg is completely house trained and will go to the door to ask to go out. She loves being out in the garden and has to be persuaded to come back in sometimes. Meg prefers to eat away from the other dogs and she likes her human with her to tell her she is a good girl and to encourage her to eat. She is currently eating 2 meals a day but was used to having food available all day, she is gradually learning that she has to eat only at meal times which is better for her. She takes treats gently and likes to eat them away from the others dogs. Meg would love a quiet home with access to a garden and someone around most of the time to give her cuddles and take her for walks. She is not bothered by other dogs but would probably prefer to be an only dog in the home and meet others when out and about on walks. She enjoys her walks and would love to be able to have fun off lead in a secure field as she loves to run and sniff. Whilst Meg is used to being an only dog, she may well happily live with another quiet dog. She would be an ideal companion for an older active woman or couple where she would be the centre of their world. Young enough to learn about cat
Morgen is an 11 week old Bichon who after a timid start is turning into a typical mischievous puppy. He is adapting very well to the loss of his eye due to an accident and loves to play and cuddle. He has just discovered toys and enjoys a game of tug and chewing on his nylabone. He loves people and despite being initially very shy and timid when he arrived in rescue, he quickly found his paws.
Outside he’s only had limited contact as he is carried in a sling as not fully vaccinated. He does find the outside world a bit overwhelming at the moment but he is being taken out for short periods growing in length and is slowly getting used to being outside and adored by all who meet him.
He is not cat savvy but is young enough to learn but I’d say a placid dog savvy cat, we wouldn’t want to risk a cat swiping at him and possibly causing another injury.
He can be rehomed with sensible children 7 and up. He can be very timid and unsure at first so needs space to come around in his own time and not be overwhelmed with attention. He is also in baby shark mode due to teething so his new owners will need to re direct this behaviour.
He plays with his toys both alone and with others. He is in foster with a much larger dog so they are not great playmates although they get on very well.
He has a harness on every day to go in the puppy sling but not quite so sure of the lead yet, just a typical puppy that will need training and would benefit from attending puppy school.
Morgen sleeps in a crate next to foster mums bed. He is still super young so wakes up at least once during the night to toilet. It took some persuading for him to use the crate and he’s getting there now. We don’t think he had a positive experience with them previously and was probably shut in one for long periods after his injury. If his new home continues with a crate they must make it as positive as possible and not overuse.
He is absolutely fine and eats everything given to him.
Morgen has not had the best start in life thanks to a traumatic injury that resulted in the loss of his left eye. However he is ready to put all that behind him look forward to a lovely new life with special people who will see him for the loving boy he is. He is adapting really well to his new reality and really there is no difference between him and other puppies of his age, he’s bright, cuddly, playful and ready to chew everything in sight as he’s in full puppy teething mode!
Morgen would fit into a variety of situations, he can go as an only dog with plenty of doggy friends or with another playful, kind dog of a similar size who would be tolerant of a young pup. He will absolutely need people who are around for most of the day, he is far too young to be left alone for long. He will need people who are willing to put the work in with positive training so he becomes a well rounded adult. He is very shy and unsure at first so his people need to give him some time to find his feet but once he does he will want lots of cuddles so be prepared. Also please don’t apply if you’re not prepared to have your sleep interrupted for a very short time, he took a little while to settle at night and will wake once to toilet. He is the loveliest pup so you absolutely won’t mind as soon as he’s snuggled on your lap.

No cats Mikey arrived in his new foster home about 5 weeks ago. He is blind but may be able to distinguish a little between light and shade. Within a few days he had created a mental map of the house and garden and rarely bumps into anything. He is completely housetrained and there have been no accidents. In the garden he is meticulous about his toilet habits and takes his time choosing the right place. Out in the park he gleefully deposits his presence all over the place. Mikey is friendly when meeting other dogs but isn’t too keen at them running at his face so his foster pawrents get between any approaching dogs and his head and direct their attention elsewhere. As his nose is his main source of information about his surroundings he tends to lurch about wherever his nose sends him so he needs close lead control to stop him walking in front of you ! He mooches along happily with his nose to the ground most of the time. He enjoys the attention of people he meets when out and loves it when children make a fuss of him. At home he is happiest curled up next to his foster pawrents sleeping. Mikey is a very serious dog and doesn’t interact with toys much. his foster family plan to get him a ball with a bell in soon, to see if he will chase that. His favourite distraction is a beef shin bone with bits of meat stuffed in it and will spend a long time figuring out how to get the food out. Mikey sleeps on his upstairs bed and has to be woken up in the morning. He is very food oriented and can be found right behind his foster family if they are in the kitchen. Iris is a 3 Year old Cavashon described by her foster family as being good with people in the home however when new people come into the home she will bark, and back away a little until she knows they’re ok. She gets super excited when foster mum comes into the room and dances on her back legs. She loves the fuss, praise and of course a little treat.
Iris isn’t sure of toys, but foster mum is encouraging her to play and she will now play with a ball.
She is fine with a lead and harness on in the garden, but will need help to understand that this enables her to have lots of adventures outdoors.
She sleeps on a dog bed in the living room during the day, or beside you on the chair. During the night she sleeps in the kitchen in an open crate, and sleeps all night. She will have a little whimper when first put to bed, but then settles.
Iris is not cat or small furry tested.
Iris can live with children aged 8 and up.
She travels well in the car.
House training is a work in progress and Iris will take herself outside to toilet if the door is open.
Iris is good eating around other dogs; she doesn’t guard her food. And is learning to enjoy treats.
Iris can be homed with resident dog or as an only dog. She would fit in lovely to any home as long as it’s a patient home who understand that sometimes she will be a little unsure and may need time on her own to digest things. A family who will also give her lots of cuddles, when she needs them.
