Kovu is a stunning 2-year-old Doberman with a huge heart and so much love to give. He’s a true softie who thrives on companionship and just wants to be part of a family.
He’s incredibly affectionate, people-focused, and happiest when he’s near his humans. Once he’s had his exercise, he’s more than content to relax and settle at home with you.
Kovu is a clever boy who loves to learn. Training is one of his favourite things (especially when treats are involved!) and he already enjoys showing off what he knows. He’s eager to please and would really thrive with someone confident who will continue guiding him as he grows.
He’s an active dog who enjoys two good walks a day, exploring the world and burning off his energy. He also loves his toys and will happily entertain himself or play alongside you.
Kovu is friendly and playful with other dogs, particularly females or neutered males. He can be a little enthusiastic at first, so a calm, confident dog who can set boundaries would suit him best. He may take a few days to fully settle with a new dog, but once comfortable, he relaxes well — he has previously lived happily with a young female dog.
Due to his size and excitement levels, Kovu would be best suited to an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers.
He’s still working on his manners (like keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting people!) and is making great progress — he just needs consistency and guidance to keep improving.
Kovu hasn’t lived with cats before. While he has a gentle nature, any introductions would need to be managed carefully by an experienced home.
