Dodger D2022-001

*Dog free home

*Can live with older children over 10

*No Cats

*Super intelligent boy loves an active home

*Will play ball all day

*Doesn’t like going walkies in the rain

Dodger is a 10 year old Springer Spaniel / Jack Russell cross that was rehomed by us in 2016. He has very sadly been returned to us due to a change in circumstances that have left his previous owners gutted. We give all our dogs a lifelong promise so here we are carrying through that promise.

Dodger has lived as part of a family for 6 years and has been a great companion to the adults and teenage boys. He is a very clever and super keen boy who loves learning tricks and will happily learn new ones (particularly if there are treats involved – he takes treats very gently). He LOVES playing ball and is very focused on any ball. He enjoys a cuddle in the evening and is great fun and loves company. He is just as happy on a one to one basis or joining in with everyone. He has been set firm boundaries in his current home as he is not allowed upstairs (although he is sometimes a little cheeky!!). He is a great all round dog and loves being groomed and even enjoys a bath.

He is happy to be left alone and will just sleep. He loves his food and does a funny little dance whilst waiting. He even loves being dressed up in tinsel jumpers at Christmas. He travels well in a car, although a little excited to start he soon settles. He is indifferent to other large dogs, however he prefers to be an only dog and isn’t keen on sharing his space with other dogs in the home.

Dodger does have one idiosyncrasy, which his new owners will have to understand and accept. Which is that he is sensitive to loud sounds and atmospheric changes, e.g. thunder, jet planes, heavy machinery etc. – he then likes hiding in a place where he feels safe. He likes a place he can retreat to. He’s very clever, so can overthink things. Major roadworks outside his current house has caused him to seek refuge when particularly large noisy machinery is in use, returning to his happy self as soon as the noise stops. Normal road noise is NOT a problem. Due to his reaction to sudden noises, e.g. a jet passing overhead, he is normally kept on a long training lead unless in a reasonably secure area or is playing ball (when he is totally focused on the ball). He has bolted when spooked but did return to the car.

TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER
CAN BE REHOMED WITH OTHER GENTLE DOG WHO WONT MOND SHARING THEIR HUMAN
NO CATS
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
PATIENT AND LOVING SUPERHEROES WITH SAUSAGE DOG EX[ERIENCE WHO WILL HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR THEM
Auburn and Melyn are 5 year old bonded blonde long haired mini dachshunds. They are timid, sensitive, gentle and very sweet natured girls who are wary of the outside world but are making great progress. The girls have slightly different personalities with Auburn being the dominant one of the pair when they are together but also the worrier and is not as quick to trust as Melyn who is more laidback but sensitive.
Auburn and Melyn absolutely crave human attention and affection and can’t get enough. You have to make sure both hands are engaged in petting both dogs simultaneously because they will gently push each other out of the way in order to be the one getting the pets! They’ve met several different people including teens and although they might bark out of fear at first they soon come round if you give them time to realise there are more kind humans to tell them how pretty they are and rub their tummies. Both dogs are skittish and handshy and will drop flat to the floor with any sudden hand movements. They would struggle with younger kids both because of their tiny size and also the fact they need a calm environment.
They would thrive with kind, gentle and dog savvy older children in a calm home. We don’t recommend under 12s, they’ll probably be fine meeting gentle younger visiting children but might find it challenging to live with them.
They have not met cats but would advise not to be homed with any at this stage.
They’ve both been slowly getting used to living in a home. Neither are bothered by any household noises so far, even the vacuum cleaner is just an object of curiosity! House training is coming along slowly but surely, Auburn has been quicker so far to learn than Melyn but both are trying very hard. They don’t ask to go out but as long as they are let into the garden regularly, they do the majority of their toileting outside, they have a puppy pad overnight in their sleeping area in case they are caught short as they are still learning. They may regress in a new environment so will need patience and understanding.
They love going into the garden for exploring and pottering, Melyn is more of a potterer and Auburn loves exploring. They sleep together at night with no issues in their safe space which is a puppy pen in one of the quieter rooms downstairs, they will also go there for naps especially if a human is in the room with them and they have a bed each-sometimes they sleep in the same one or will go to separate ones when they want. They have been left alone together for a short time in their safe space, they may fuss for a short time especially Auburn who is the worrier who gives gentle whimpers almost under her breath when she is worried, but they soon settle and will sleep. This time could be built on a little when they are feeling secure in their forever home. Both dogs have good appetites. Neither dog has been destructive at all or tried to chew anything they shouldn’t. They haven’t shown any interest in toys yet, they do occasionally play with each other although auburn is much more playful than Melyn.
They haven’t been out as they are still settling to home life, they have never walked on a lead so they will need patience and training with this when they are ready. They have travelled in a car secured in a crate without problem. Both have been carried outside the front of my house to watch cars go past and they haven’t seemed scared by this.
Auburn and Melyn are looking for the kindest, most patient and loving superheroes who will have all the time in the world for these two little girls! They will be homed together which will mean twice the work but twice the love returned and all the adoration they can’t wait to give their new humans. They can go as the only dogs in the home or be homed with another gentle, calm and patient dog who will not expect too much from them at first and not mind sharing their humans with two girls who absolutely crave love and attention from their people. Gentle older children who are dog savvy and will understand the girls needs and initial limitations will be considered. Gentle visiting younger kids should be fine.

NEEDS ANOTHER CALM RESIDENT DOG

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

VIXEY IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND NEEDS PATIENT CALM PARENTS TO HELP HER BECOME THE DOG SHE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE.

Vixey is a beautiful 2 year old ex breeding cavalier who’s looking for a special home that’s able to show her love patience and give her lots of adventures of the outside world that she’s missed so far. She’s a sweet little girl who can become nervous when meeting new people. She doesn’t take long to learn to trust you and once she does, she will reward you with lots of wet doggie kisses. She has now decided her favour place is on the sofa so if dogs on the sofa are out of bounds Vixey is not the dog for you.

Vixey is a timid and nervous girl who will jump at sudden noises and movements, so young boisterous children would be too scary for her to live with. Older kind gentle calm children would be a better match.

Vixey currently lives with a cat and is not bothered by him.

Toilet training is a work in progress and she will have the odd accident inside but this is being worked on and is getting better every day. She currently sleeps on her foster mum’s bed and sleeps soundly all night.

Her current favourite thing is running around in the garden and she has just started to play with toys.

Walking on the lead is work in progress as she has never walked on a lead before so her foster mum had been working on this with her around the garden and inside the home on the lead.

Vixey is looking for a home with a laid-back dog to show her how to be the best dog she can. To help her learn that humans are good and the outside world is full of adventures. She is looking for her humans to be home most of the time to help work on her nervousness and build on her trust issues. She’s going to be an amazing addition to the right home but that home needs to be patient.

NEEDS ANOTHER RESIDENT DOG TO GIVE HER CONFIDENCE

CAN LIVE WITH OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

CAN LIVE WITH DOG SAVVY CATS

NEL IS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND NEEDS PATIENT, LOVING PARENTS TO HELP HER ADJUS TO BEING A PET

Nel is a 3 year old ex breeding Retriever who has seen almost nothing of the big wide world. She has landed on her paws in her foster home but is still very nervous of people and the world which she has now found herself in. That being said she is very happy to find herself in this new world and was good when she probably had her first bath ever. She froze but you could see by her face that she was loving the gentle massage and kind words.

Her tail has not stopped wagging since arriving in foster and as she is starting to relax and feel safe she is beginning to show that she is happy and bouncy.

Nel loves her food and is a big girl so any exercise soon wears her out so she is going to need to adjust to being a pet slowly. She is practicing with her lead walking but doesn’t really understand so is very strong and nervous on the lead. This is being worked on as well as basic commands and as she is food orientated this is proving to be an enjoyable new thing for her. She has been to foster mums privately owned secure field on a long line with other dogs and was absolutely fine. She has been loving the new freedom of being outside and sniffing. She had a short zoomy burst but was soon tired and had to lie down to recover. Her fitness definitely needs work but all this will come in time.

She can be very nervous to be touched by new people and needs to be approached in a calm manner. Foster mum when bathing her couldn’t help but kiss her head gently due to the sheer joy on her face at being pampered and there is definitely no aggression anywhere in this lovely girl’s body. She loves seeing people in an environment she is comfortable with and now greets her foster mum with a big waggy tail as if she’s been gone for hours even though she’s only been in the next room making a cup of tea.

Due to Nel not knowing her own size and still finding her paws we would only recommend older children who understand to give her space and who she can’t bowl over in her excitement to see them.

She is in foster with a herd of dog savvy cats who rule the roost and has walked past them and ignored them. She may scare any skittish or small cats just by her general happiness and size.

Toilet training is a work in progress and she’s a little distracted with just being happy at the moment and not really concentrating. Despite being 2 she is very puppyish in her behaviour and interactions. She’s like a female peter pan and has not yet grown up she’s just a big baby. She is a quick learner so will get there especially when she can get out and about a bit more and bond with her new family.

Nel is very much a work in progress and will need someone willing to give her the time and patience to decompress but also guide her with boundaries to help her achieve happy pet status. She’s going to need someone committed to her and her future as she has so much to give and is desperate to love. She needs to live with another dog that she can learn from and this will help her with her confidence.

Mitsi D2022- 115

*****NEADS A RESIDENT DOG*****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET MITSI

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

PATIENT OWNERS S MITSI IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

Hello my name is Mitsi, I’m a 12 month old American Cocker cross Poodle and I’m looking for a very special person who will help me become the best dog ever. I am still learning about the world and haven’t really seen much which makes me quite scared at times. I’m looking for a quiet house with people who will give me time to learn to trust them as I am still learning that people can be kind. I do like to follow my foster mum around because she lets me do things at my own pace. I have already learnt the house routines – after breakfast I get to have lots of time playing in the garden – after that I get to find the best bed in the house in the front room for a nap to recharge my batteries. It’s called a donut bed. If I come to live with you, I’d like one of these of my own as it helps me feel safe as it’s soft and lovely.

I want someone who will feed me lovely food twice a day, give me nice treats and time to get confident with you. I looking for someone who can show me how amazing the world can be with lots of love and patience. I would really like another dog friend who is calm and will show me what to do. I like to follow my foster mums’ dog around and he’s tried to ask me to play but I’m not really sure how to play with him yet but we’ve had a little chase and sniff.

When I came to live with foster mum the vet had to give me very short haircut, honestly what was she thinking letting them do that! She says it was because my coat was so matted. I know it feels so much nicer now but she won’t let me have a look in the mirror yet! I am enjoying sone gentle massage from my foster mum on my terms but touch makes me very nervous and I don’t like it if people move suddenly or talk too loudly. Foster mum says I have found my little voice and will sing along with her dog if he barks at a noise in the garden but I’m a good girl and stop when he does. Foster mum is very pleased with me because I haven’t had any accidents in the house, I’m not sure what she means by this? All I know is if the door is open, I can go outside and use the toilet but if it’s not I have to wait.

So if you think you could offer me a donut bed, time to trust you, two lovely meals a day and some grass to roll on then please fill in the application form. You will have to understand I will take a little while to show you I’m happy and ready to sit nearer you but overtime I will possibly honour you by siting close to you or following you around.

I have no health issues except my ears can get a bit dirty, foster mum says they’re typical spaniel ears and she gently cleans them for me which tickles a little bit, but feels good.

I am very scared of new people as I haven’t seen very many in my life so far. I am staring to follow the human around and I don’t run away from her because I know she’s ok. When there’s a few people around I will try and find somewhere safe to hide as I’m not really sure what to do with new people and they scare me.

I have met some little people and they really frighten me as they move fast and make loud noises. Older children who know about dogs are a little less scary but honestly all humans are a bit scary at the moment.

I don’t know what cats are and as my foster mum doesn’t have one, I haven’t seen one either. However, I can’t see there being a problem with other furries as long as they don’t mind me having a sniff as I’m getting quite curious about the world.

I am looking for a home where someone is home a lot of the time as I need to get used to people. I am able to stay on my own for a few hours as long as I can go in the donut bed. I’m not really keen on a crate unless the door is open. My foster mum says I’ve very good in the house and I haven’t chewed anything. I have just discovered the toy box and like throwing the soft toys around. As I get more confident in the house, I have been trying to pull the washing off the line and help out by putting the blankets and tea towels in a nice pile in my bed when foster mum isn’t looking. I’m lucky that she thought this was very helpful as I’m trying to be a puppy exploring everything I can, when I feel safe to do so.

I am still learning about the wider world and so have only been a few places in the car. I’m have been very good and travel in the back in a car crate. I have been to my foster nanas house and quite enjoyed the new sniffs. The garden is my favourite place as there’s lots of lovely grass to roll on. I am starting to get used to a harness and lead in the garden but this will need time and work with my new family.

I would like a quieter house where the humans will give me time to get to know and trust you. A must for me is a soft bed and two meals a day please. I’d also like someone around most of the time so I can build my confidence around people. Foster mum says I’m very lovable and really want someone who wants to teach me about how wonderful life can be with people. I’m keen and willing to learn. I like routines and haven’t learnt very quickly.

Brian the Bulldog D2022- 122

*****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET BRIAN

NEEDS ANOTHER WELL-MANNERED DOG TO PLAY WITH AND LEARN FROM

BULLDOG EXPERIENCED HOME

SENSE OF HUMOUR A MUST

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

PAWRENTS WHO CAN CONTINUE HS EDUCATION AND SET BOUNDARIES

Brian the Bulldog is a 6 month old bundle of energy that finds everything to be such a wonder, that he should’ve been called Alice. He’s seen so very little in his short life, that he experiences daily joy and fear in vast amounts. He needs to have firm and consistent boundaries in place to help him deal with this range of emotions. He’s still very much a baby, just a large bouncy one.

Medical history to be discussed with potential adopters.

Brian loves all people. Little people, large people, young people and old people. At first, he’s quite shy and subdued but he soon gets back to his bouncy, daft self. This means introductions need to be supervised. He’s still very much a baby and is learning about life.

Brian has met little people. He has been quiet and gentle with them, but he can quickly become excited and bouncy. He needs to learn boundaries so dog confident olderchildren would be essential.

Not cat tested but whilst Brian has been in foster the resident cat has decided to leave home. He doesn’t react to cats on walks but seems to be a bit scared of pigeons.

Brian sleeps in his crate, and is clean overnight. He uses his crate as his napping area, and it is also used as a time out zone when needed. He likes to chew – table legs, stools, fridge doors – but is learning it’s not allowed so quickly changes to licking the object if you catch him. He’s not been allowed on the sofa or bed, but he would really like to be up there. Brian has been told that once he learns manners then snuggles on the sofa will be allowed. He is almost toilet trained during the day, but does use a pee pad that is provided for a disabled housemate. He may need this in his new home at first but we are pretty confident that he would quickly learn to go out. He can be left, crated for short periods without issue.

Brian walks nicely on the lead and isn’t fazed by much now. He does have a hatred of metal field gates, and is determined to eradicate them. He will also not walk on cracks in the ground, so assume he is quite superstitious. He has enjoyed a church cream tea and was very much admired by all.

Brian is going to need another well-behaved dog to play and cuddle with. A bulldog experienced home to continue with his training and with setting firm boundaries. He’s still very puppy like, and his list of new experiences is very long. He can be a bit of an idiot, and it is like having a toddler drive a tank around your home so a good sense of humour is vital. He’d also appreciate a nice plump bed; someone to hold his jaw so he can enjoy a biscuit treat; and no fluffy terrorists in the home.

Pixie D2022-118

*****PLEASE RED FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET PIXIE

RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER GENTLE CHILDREN

NO CATS

PATIENT HOME WHO WILL GIVE HER TIME TO DECOMPRESS

Pixie is 1 year old Yorkie cross described by her foster mum as a darling girl who didn’t have the best start in life. Now that she has joined us in foster she is spending time decompressing and learning to trust. She can be timid and worried around new people but given space and time she quickly learns to trust and adores her humans.

Health issues will be discussed with potential home.

Pixie is a shy and cautious little girl but has been fine with foster mums’ older gentle children. It wouldn’t be fair for her to live with young and loud children.

Pixie doesn’t like cats

Pixie will take time to get to know you which is due to having previous bad experiences. However, when she does trust you then her favourite place to be is by your side. Due to her past traumas if she feels overwhelmed, cornered or anxious she can have an accident on the floor. This IS NOT HER FAULT and the best thing for her is to take a step back and give her time to come to you. Oh, and a bit of chicken always helps.

Pixie is just learning about the outside world and is beginning to enjoy being out and about. This needs to gently continue in her new home. She spent a lot of time inside in her previous life so it’s important she can now get out and about with her new fur brother or sister. She needs and wants to explore the outside with her forever family which will help her gain confidence and feel safe. She walks lovely on the lead but can become jumpy of sudden noises. Her new fur family will be able to help her with this.

Pixie needs a quiet patient home with another dog of similar size that likes to play. She does not wish to be homed with young children and she needs a family who will be her heroes putting her and her fur sibling first. She needs someone on her side that will help her become the dog she should have always meant to be.

Eilish D2022-113

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRIT EUP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET EILISH

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL CONTINUE HER TRAINING AND HELP HER LEARN TO BE A MUCH LOVED PET.

Eilish is a 2 year old Cavalier described by her foster mum as an absolute darling. She arrived at her foster home quite jumpy and anxious but is growing more and more confident by the day. She is a larger cavalier but thinks she’s chihuahua size and has no concept of spatial awareness. She jumps up which is being worked on in her foster home and will happily climb all over you to get a nice comfy space on your lap.

Eilish adores humans and she is at her happiest when she’s laying on the sofa next to a human resting her head leg or any other body part on them so she feels safe and close. She always likes to keep one beady eye on whatever her humans are up to and loves to follow you around the house.

Eilish can be jumpy and unsure of very young loud children but is fine around children that understand they need to be gentle and quiet. She has not been tested with cats or small furries

Eilish is content around her humans and she adores their touch and company. Currently one of her favourite things is sleeping on her foster mums 13 year old sons bed where sleeps all night. She is fully house trained and eats really well. She is a typical 2 year old and will chew things left around the house on the floor if it takes her fancy.

She is learning to walk on the lead but can pull in excitement. She gets so excited to be out she can cry under her breath and walk in zig zags. She’s a strong girl being a larger size cavalier so it’s important that she is rehomed with someone who can manage her strength whilst learning to walk better. She gets anxious when she meets other dogs out on walks and will react by jumping and barking letting them know she’s there. Her social skills whilst meeting other dogs out will need to be worked on in her new home.

Eilish needs a home that will allow her to be the princess she so longs to be. A home that will allow her to snuggle on the sofa sleep on the bed and be close to her human as much as she can. Someone who’s home most of the time as she becomes sad when left long periods. She’s looking for a family that enjoys long daily walks exploring the world that she hasn’t yet had chance to experience. Her new home must be willing to work on her anxieties whilst out walking by having lots of patience and understanding which in turn will help her become the dog she was meant to be.

NEEDS ANOTHER YOUNG PLAYFUL CAT

NOT DOG TESTED

CAT SAVVY CHILDREN

Martin is a beautiful 13 week old kitten described by his foster mum as a friendly, cwtchy, playful little man who loves attention. He came into foster with really bad eyes and has been seen by the vet who has prescribed eye drops. His eyes are getting better under his mums watchful care.

He can be timid when he first meets new people and takes his time to assess that you are a good egg but once he does, he is a puuuurfect companion.

He is not child tested but is young enough to adapt to cat savvy children who wont initially over crowd him.

He gets on really well with all the other cats in foster mums home and especially likes other young ones to be play with.

Not dog tested but young enough to adapt

In his foster home Martin is very friendly, loves a cwtch and is very playful but it took him time to feel safe.

Martin needs another youngish playful cat (we could help with that if you haven’t got one) to help him adjust to his new home. He has always been around other cats and seeks their attention for cuddles and play. He would also like some sensible young cat savvy people to play with him.

Buffy is around 7 months old and is described by her foster mum as a delight who will “help” with the gardening, you’re knitting and the dishes. She has been great with all the other cats in the home and has lately been teaching the kittens in the house how to slay their toys.

She came into rescue found straying with cat flu and had terrible eyes. She has had amazing treatment from our vets who say that despite her eye still being a little bit runny it is fine.

She would eventually like access to the outside world once she has settled but currently, she’s content to have access to a catio with her fellow foster fur babies for company. She would really like to be rehomed with Martha and to be frank they are fluffing hilarious together! Buffy at night likes to snuggle on your bed at night and purr you to sleep.

Buffy is great with people and is quite outgoing despite her rocky start. She is the a puuuurfect little house tiger who is very adaptable so will fit into most families. She has also been living with a dog but can be a bit assertive so slow introductions will be needed.

NEEDS TO LIVE WITH ANOTHER EASY GOING CAT

NOT DOG TESTED

OLDER CAT SAVVY CHILDREN

QUIET HOME WITH HER OWNERS AROUND MOST OF THE TIME

Coco is around 7 years old and described by her foster mum as a very quiet, reserved little lady. It will take her time to build up her confidence as she was living rough until she came in to foster. However when she gets to know you she is a darling little girl. She just needs to trust that you are not going to hurt her. Once she trusts this she enjoys a nice fuss and purrs contentedly

Coco has not been tested with children but we feel that as she is nervous, she would not be suited to live with them. However once settled she may enjoy the attention of older cat savvy children.

She does get along with the other cats in her foster home but it took her a while to get used to them and she can be timid around them.

Not dog tested

Coco is very quiet and reserved but will come when she has settled in

Coco needs a quiet home with either no children or older teenage children. She could live with another easy going cat or cats as long as gentle introductions are made.

She would like her people to be around a lot for her to get used to them and another quiet cat that she can watch go to her new people so she knows she is safe. Coco after a period of adjustment maybe happy going outside

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET ISABELLA

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

NOT CAT TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER BECOME THE DOG SHE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE.

Isabella is a 5 year old cocker spaniel described by her foster mum as a sweet little girl who follows foster mum around like a shadow. She’s such a sweet heart and if foster mum leaves the house, then on her return, she greets her as if she has been gone for weeks.

Veterinary history to be discussed

Toilet training is a work in progress but going well and if she gets caught short, she will use puppy pads.

She hasn’t been out for a walk yet as she is not fully vaccinated but has been practicing in the garden and is doing great.

Once she is bonded with her human she will follow them anywhere.

She travels well in the car and has been great with the vets.

She is great with the older grandkids but a bit wary of the younger ones as they are loud and too busy for her. She is fine with them stroking her but not the running around.

She has a few bad habits that are being worked on and these are probably down to previously not knowing when her next meal would arrive. Her current bad habits are that she likes to raid the bins if they are not secured and she also likes to counter surf if she can get up there.

Isabella likes to be up with the birds and is excited to meet the day. So be prepared for some early morning wake up calls to begin with. However, once she is out and about exploring and can burn off some energy, we expect her to want the odd lie in.

She currently sleeps in the bedroom with foster mum in a crate.

Isabella needs a home with another resident dog and no children or older dog savvy children. She has not been cat tested but with gentle introductions we expect her to be fine. Once settled she would like an active life where she gets a nice walk every day. She needs owners who will help her with her bad habits and understand that it comes from a background of not being loved and she is not a nawty girl.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET LOLLY

RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

CAN LIVE WITH CATS BUT NOT SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT PARENTS WHO WILL HELP HER BECOME THE DOG SHE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE.

Lolly is a King Charles Cavalier estimated to be around 6 years old and is described by her foster mum as completely adorable and melts hearts with her beautiful, big brown eyes. She is beautiful inside and out and her foster family love seeing her playfulness and funny, cheeky nature beginning to emerge. She has so much love to give, and is learning quickly that giving licky kisses gets you lots of attention and fussing! Lolly will bring so much joy to her new home, she is a gentle soul who is nervous but also excited to explore her new world.

Lolly is initially very timid and wary of people. She likes quiet voices and being approached slowly, allowing time for her to sniff your hand and walk away if she chooses. During Lolly’s time in foster her confidence has grown hugely, she has been unfazed by some tradesmen calling, and even likes the postman! She has shown no aggression to anyone in her foster home and is equally happy to be with men and women.

Lolly hasn’t met any children while in foster care. Foster mum feels that the fast movements and boisterous behaviour of young children could easily frighten Lolly but older dog savvy children would be okay.

Lolly is calm and friendly with fosterer’s cat. Happy to share the settee or dog bed with him! But not small furry tested.

Lolly loves wandering around indoors having a look around, and loves exploring the garden, having a good sniff and roll on the grass. She loves to jump onto the settee and enjoys being stroked, she’ll soon push her head so you can rub her ears! Lolly will follow the resident dogs into the garden to toilet, but doesn’t yet ask to be let out. She sleeps through the night either on foster parents’ bed, or in a dog bed in their bedroom.

Lolly hasn’t been walked outside her foster home as she is not fully vaccinated. She will happily wear a collar and harness and is becoming used to walking on a lead. She is practising around the garden and is becoming more comfortable every day. Lolly travels really well by car. She wears a harness with dog seat belt and happily looks out of the window, or snuggles down and has a nap.

Lolly’s forever home will need to have a resident gentle, playful dog to help continue her learning and to help her feel safe. A safe, secure garden is essential as Lolly will need to build confidence in lead walking before beginning to explore the big, wide world. She will need someone home most of the time and foster mum feels that a quieter home with older, dog savvy children would suit Lolly best. Lolly needs someone who will patiently help her learn that she is safe and loved, and build a trusting bond.

Sandy D-2022-110

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET SANDY

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG WITH LOTS OF INTERACTION

CAN LIVE WITH OTHER DOGS

NOT CAT TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PARENTS WHO WILL HELP HIM ADJUST TO BEING A MUCH LOVED PET

Sandy is a 5 year old westie described by his foster mum as not your average ex breeding dog as he is a confident little man who isn’t fazed by other dogs and is happy in his own company. He is surprisingly laid back and enjoys attention and even being picked up but can initially be wary. He is even happy to walk a short distance on a lead.

When he first arrived in foster he was surprised by his glamorous surroundings and spent a few days exploring the back yard. Since then, he has found the sofa and has learnt that a house has lots of rooms not just one tiny one with high walls where you can’t see out. He has even found the sofa and now he has, he likes it very much and spends a lot of time snoozing on it.

Sandy once settled in the home is going to be an active little dog and is strong and keen on the lead. He has had very little lead training so this is still a work in progress and will need to continue in his forever home if he is going to be the adventure buddy that he aspires to be. His recall will need to be practices in a secure area/field before attempting any off lead walking.

If he sees new people in and out of the house that he is wary of he just walks away and watches from a distance until he is happy that no one will hurt him and he is safe.

Sandy has not been cat or child tested so we would recommend older dog savvy children.

House training is a work in progress but he is almost there. As long as he either has access to the garden or is taken out regularly he is a good boy. He sleeps downstairs all night and has not attempted to climb the stairs. Currently he chooses to spend most of day sleeping on the sofa but as he gets fitter and settles, he is going to want to be out exploring and sniffing.

Sandy needs a home with loving parents who will help him continue to adjust to being a much loved pet. He could be an only dog with lots of attention or live with others. He will want to eventually go on long walks and be close to his humans. Older dog savvy children who will help him adjust to his surroundings and without putting any pressure on him to play and be fussed.

LOVING PATIENT, PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP THE BOYS COME OUT OF THEIR SHELL

Rocket is an 8 week old bundle of energy described by his foster mum as a chonk who loves food, playing and cwtches. He can be a bit reserved but is learning that people give nice cuddles and treats. He’s only a baby so can adapt to most environments but what he would really love is to be adopted with his brother Groot. Groot is a dwt, smaller than his brother but still full of energy and fun. He loves playing and cwtches. He can also be a bit reserved to start but is also learning that people are a good source of cuddles and food.

Due to the boys being a little nervous we could recommend that if there are children in the house that they be cat savvy children who will encourage the boys to come out of their shell by playing and not over handle them whilst they settle.

The boys have been raised with dogs and are great with cat savvy woofers.

They are still learning the rules about litter trays so their forever family will need to continue this education and be patient with them.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET LOTTIE

TO BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AGREEMENT

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG FOR COMPANY AND CONFIDENCE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUST TO THE BIG WIDE WORLD.

Lottie is a 6 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as a timid, sensitive, little girl with the sweetest nature. She is an absolute love with a beautiful face. She can be a little skittish and at times very nervous, especially if there are fast hand movements.

When Lottie first arrived, she cowered away from any human interaction but she is slowly growing in confidence and is starting to come out of her shell. She used to spend a lot of time sitting under the kitchen table or a chair, but has gradually relaxed and has now found the courage to climb on the sofa and cuddle up to foster mum.

Lottie was overweight when she arrived in foster but her foster mum has worked on her diet and her new family will need to continue with that in order for Lottie to reach a healthier weight.

Lottie is now happy to be around her foster family but her new family will need to give her time to settle and adjust to her new surroundings in her own time but once she has settled, she will allow you to smooth her and give her very gentle cuddles and will happily take a treat out of your hand.

She could live with older dog savvy children as the noise and movement of young children would be too much for her.

Lottie is not cat or small furry tested

Lottie is house trained and will take herself off to the garden but will need to be shown the way until she is happy.

Lottie does not like to be crated and will cry so she sleeps on a dog bed next to foster mum’s bed. She doesn’t climb in with the humans. Though she has had the odd wander around the room at night, though when called back she does get straight back on her bed. She does snore louder than foster mum according to foster dad.

Lottie has been left for a few hours and has been fine, though she has started to get excited when foster mum returns and will wag her tail, turn around and circles and sometimes jump like a kangaroo, showing she just wants someone to pay attention and give her lots of love. Something this beautiful dog deserves.

Lottie is yet to go outside but harness training has begun in the garden. Her harness has been put on but she is not keen to move and will just sit down. All this will come in time and especially if there are nice treats aa a reward. Foster mum keeps telling her that there is a big wide world out there ready for exploring exciting new things. Her new family will have to be very patient with her and work on this.

Lottie has had free reign of the garden at her foster home. She likes to have a little potter, sniffing and exploring and find a sunspot to lie in.

Lottie is a work in progress and will need another resident dog in the home and an understanding family who will give her the time she needs to learn and trust. Once she does, she will provide them with lots of love She would also like someone to be home most of the day or at least part of the time.

Charlie & Fran D2022-104/105

****PLEASE READ THE WHOLE WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET CHARLIE AND FRAN

THEY COME AS A PAIR BUT COULD LIVE WITH OTHERS

NO CHILDREN

NO CATS

LOVING PARENTS WHO WILL WORK WITH THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR SUMMER BODIES.

Charlie 8 and Fran 6 are a bonded pair of King Charles Cavaliers described by their foster mum as the most adorable pair of cavaliers who are looking for a new forever home together after a change in their previous owners circumstances. They are such happy dogs whose tails have hardly stopped wagging since they arrived. They are both “a little round” and their bodies shake and jiggle with delight whenever they greet you. They love human company and like nothing more than a comfy sofa to lie next to you and snore the day away.

Charlie has a grade 2 heart murmur but no medication is required. Both dogs are currently overweight so foster Mum has been working on giving them a healthy diet and exercise. Their new owner must be prepared to continue with this to help achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Both Charlie and Fran love adult humans and scratches behind the ear and belly ribs are their favourite. Fran will wrap her paws around your shoulders and shower you with kisses. Charlie just wants to be with you and even if you leave the room for just a few minutes he acts like you’re leaving him forever, bless him.

Charlie loves children as much as adults but Fran is very wary of children and will bark towards them. She was an ex breeding dog and this is the only trait of anxiety from her past that is really apparent. She is not however aggressive it is just fear of their sharp movements and shrill voices. She is calm if they are quietly sitting down and will take treats from them but she would not suit a home with children.

They both love to chase next doors cat and the pigeons in the garden so they’ll need a home without cats.

Both dogs are housetrained however Fran did have the odd accident in the home when she first arrived. They have settled really well in their foster home and it is clear that they’re used to lots of home comforts. They like to have their humans as close as possible as often as possible. They sleep on foster Mums bed at night and except for the snoring there’s not a peep from them all night until they wake up. They have been left for a few hours only but they really do not like to be on their own and will cry when you initially leave them.

They walk well on their leads and love their daily walks in the woods. They are both water babies and love a paddle in the stream. Charlie is more of a plodder than a fast walker and Fran is more of stroller but regularly walks are essential to help with the weight loss so nice longish but easy paced walks are the order of the day.

Fran and Charlie could live with other dogs however I think they’d like to be the only dogs in the home so that they’d have their human’s full attention. They really have an abundance of love to give and would like their humans to be around most of the day so they could show this. No children because of Frans anxiety but occasional visiting grandchildren would be ok if owners are prepared to work around her anxieties. I absolutely adore these two little gems. They’ve brought nothing but joy to their foster home. We only wish is that they find a home where they will be loved as much we love them.

Adela D2022-90

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET ADELA

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

ADELA IS A WORK IN PROGRESS SO NEEDS A PATIENT HOME WITH LOVING PARENTS

Adela is a 5 year old King Cavalier described by her foster mum as the sweetest little poppet and one look at her pretty little face and soulful eyes will melt your heart for sure. She was very nervous and hand shy when she first arrived and would cower away from any human interaction. She is now starting to gradually interact with her humans and is learning that life in a home is the best thing that’s ever happened to her. The day she rolled around the garden on her back as if to celebrate her freedom is a day her foster mum will cherish forever.

Adela does have a heart murmur which does not at present require medication. This does need to be closely monitored in future.

Adela was quite shut down when she first came to rescue but gradually, she is beginning to come out of her shell. She has bonded well with her foster mum and her tail wags when she hears her voice. She now enjoys ear tickles and being smoothed on her terms. She has met several visitors to her foster mums house and she has on occasion tentatively approached them to say hello. She responds really well to her name (Della for short). Initially she would spend most of the time in her bed but now she happily sits sprawled out on the sofa next to foster Mum watching tv in the evenings.

Della has met her foster Mums young grandson and although she didn’t interact with him she was happy to spend time with him in the garden and wasn’t fazed by his boisterous play.

Adela lives with four cats. She has accepted them as part of the house she lives in but doesn’t interact with them.

Adela is more or less housetrained. She has had the odd accident when foster mum was out but she mostly takes herself outside. She has been left for a few hours and has been absolutely fine with the other dogs. She sleeps in the kitchen with her foster brother at night and she is good as gold. She’s starting to enjoy the comforts of living in a home and it’s wonderful to see her gradually starting to relax.

Adela has yet to go out on a lead. She is very wary of a lead so this is something that her new family must be willing to work on.

Adela needs a home with at least one other friendly resident dog who will help her to continue to learn the joys of being in a loving home. She needs someone who understands the patience needed to allow her to come out of her shell and flourish in her own time. Someone home most of the day or at least part time in order to work with this. She really is a lovely little girl who will be an amazing addition to the right home. She has the sweetest nature and so much to give and if you’re willing to help her on her journey she will reward with a lifetime of love.

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG IF OWNERS ARE ALWAYS AROUND

CAN LIVE WITH AN OLDER TOLERANT DOG WHO WOULDN’T MIND BEING BUMPED INTO OCCASIONALLY

NO CATS

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING FAMILY WHO WILL ADORE AND LOOK AFTER OUR SPECIAL PRINCESS

Pamela is a 5 and a half year old American cocker described by her foster mum as an absolutely gorgeous little lady with the special super power of having no eyes which does not bother her at all. She has a lovely energy about her despite all that she has been through and is just the happiest little soul. She’s full of love and just wants to be loved. She is one very special little lady.

She’s quite amazing and copes well.

Pamela loves people and loves lots of attention. She even loves the vets. Being blind she likes to have a good sniff of you first. Once she’s met you, she doesn’t forget you and you are besties for life.

Older children only

No cats only due to the fact she doesn’t know what they are and it may upset.

Pamela is great in the home she doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety at all.  She isn’t vocal or destructive and will happily sleep downstairs with other dogs. She is 99% housetrained. She is also very happy in a crate.

Pamela travels well in the car and enjoys getting out and about. Her lead is used in a different way to normal because she is blind. It is used as a guidance tool to help her not bump into things and obviously she is not to be let off the lead as she will walk into trouble.

Pamela is going to need someone that is around in the daytime. Having previously been used for breeding toys were new to her but now she absolutely loves them. She loves a teddy bear and a ball & will carry one around with her whenever she can. She is just soo cute. She wants a comfy sofa and someone to love her, she’s a simple girl and this is all she needs to be happy.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET TIA

NEEDS ANOTHER RESIDENT CONFIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

LOVING PATIENT PAWRENTS WHO WILL SHOW HER THE WORLD.

Tia is a 4 or 5 year old West Highland terrier described by her foster mum as a nervous girl who is desperate to trust. She has not had the best start in life but that’s not something Tia wants to dwell on she now wants to focus on finding love with her forever family. She wants to know what it feels to be loved and adored and that human hands are for good things like cuddles and treats.

Tia has a fear of a harness and lead, blankets and being confined, from her behaviour we believe she has been grabbed too many times so is wary of anyone grabbing her. This is being worked on and she is getting better every day. She’s beginning to trust her foster family and this encouragement is helping her to feel bolder and be brave.

Tia is learning to trust people and is beginning to enjoy a smooth and scratch behind the ears. She is now starting to lay beside her foster mum and nudge her hand for attention. She needs to be approached in a gentle manner with no sudden movements or she will panic and run.

She loves her food but is wary of taking from your hand just in case she is grabbed. She will be an affectionate little girl with a bit of patience and when she finds her feet, she will probably eventually rule the roost.

She is not cat or small furry tested

Tia has never really been in the outside world so is finding it all a bit intimidating. She is learning to go outside to toilet but you need to go with her initially so she doesn’t get scared. She’s not one for exploring yet as even the birds, bees and butterflies are creepy. Currently her safe space is next to you or her foster siblings on the sofa cuddling.

She currently sleeps on the sofa with her foster siblings and sleeps all night long. She has not been upstairs and stays where she feels safe with her foster fur family.

She is just learning to walk on a lead and is getting more confident every day. This will need to continue in her forever home with her patient pawrents.

Tia needs a home with another dog who will look out for her till she gets more confident about her surroundings. She needs patient and loving family who will help her to decompress and adjust. She has never met any squirrels or had a good sniff of the trees so this is definitely something on her to do list.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET BETTY

COULD BE AN ONLY DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED BUT HAS BEEN GOOD WITH CHICKENS AND RABBITS

LOVING AND PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER BLOSSOM

Betty is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a gentle, beautiful girl who has a passion for food, especially toast and butter. She is still quite nervous and will shy away from any sudden movements and noises but is getting better every day. She had never been in a house before or felt love so everything is new to her but she is being really brave.

Betty is toilet trained and has access to the garden at all times as the weather has been nice for it to be open. She is also clean throughout the night. She loves her food but does tend to inhale it so her new pawrents would need to invest in a slow feeder.

Betty is good with people and comfortable around foster mums 12 year old dog savvy daughter so we would recommend older dog savvy children as she has been nervous of noises and sudden movements of younger visiting children.

Not cat tested but foster mum has rabbits and chickens and she has been great with these so would probably be fine with dog savvy cats.

Betty is in the early stages of harness and lead training and will walk around the garden with her harness on and lead clipped to it. She has not yet been out in the big wide world but has been told by foster mums resident dog that there are good things beyond the gate so she is looking forward to going after a period of settling.

Betty has really come out of her shell in the last few days in her foster home and has begun taking an interest in toys and has begun learning about zoomies from the resident dogs. She was unsure to start why the furry resident dog was running around like a loon but soon got the hang of it and realised it was fun. She now loves to play with the resident rescue dog and learns a lot from her.

Betty is crate trained and uses this as her safe space often taking herself off to have a rest and think. She is also happy to sit in it with the door open and sleeps in it throughout the night. She is always pleased to see her foster family in the morning for breakfast and a fuss and is now initiating contact.

Betty needs a home where she is the only dog as she bonds hard with her owner and wants to be the centre of their world. She would benefit from owners who are home most of the time. Someone who will show her that not all humans are bad and take her on mini adventures when she is comfortable and settled.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO MEET FERGIE

NEEDS AT LEAST ONE OTHER DOG IN THE HOME

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

NO CHILDREN

LOVING OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER BECOME THE DOG SHE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE

Fergie is a 6 year old cocker spaniel described by her foster dad as a nervous but friendly girl. She is very happy to sit on the sofa and be given as many belly rubs as you’re happy to give. She is sensitive to sudden movements and noises and does like to take herself away for a bit of time to herself if unsure.

She’s not food driven at all but were sure this will change given time. She is currently eating wet food but likes to be given space away from other dogs to eat.

She’s happy to sleep down stairs in the night with the other dogs and sleeps all night. She has also been left alone for short periods with others and has been fine.

She is very good in the home and doesn’t chew shoes or furniture.

She is very wary of new people who come to the home for a few minutes but is then happy to be fussed.

Due to Fergie being a nervous little girl children would be too unpredictable for her.

However we think she would be fine with cats and would just ignore them.

She walks well on and off the lead (in a secure field) and loves to be out about sniffing everything. Her recall is good once she knows you and she loves following the other dogs.

Fergie needs a quiet and patient home with at least other dog who can give her confidence. She needs patient and loving parents who will help her become the dog she was always meant to be.

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT AND LOVING PARENTS WHO WILL HELP BOOST HER CONFIDENCE.

Grace is a 6 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as a gentle little girl who has just been the best house guest. She is still a little hand shy but will let you stroke her as long as you start gently on her chest or back working your way up to her head and ears. She is enjoying coming for a cuddle and is getting braver every day.

Grace is a delight to have around the house such a gentle sweet girl who is developing funny little ways and gaining in confidence daily. She hasn’t come up on the furniture yet but loves to curl up with the other foster dogs on the raised bed in one room and a large dog bed in the other. She has just discovered the toy box and likes to empty it one toy at a time taking them from the living room to the kitchen.

She is fine with visitors and will go for a fuss once everyone has settled. She has been around young children and although she likes to follow them for any goodies they may drop she does not like interacting with them and will run away so we recommend she be homed with older dog savvy children.

Toilet training is ongoing and as long as the door is open to the garden, she will toilet outside. She is clean through the night. She absolutely loves being in the garden having a mooch around and a spot of sun bathing.

Not cat or small furry tested

Grace loves her food and comes for a treat with the others but always hangs back and lets them go first.

Grace needs a home with another confident dog, older dog savvy children if there are any and parents who will continue to work with her to boost her confidence.

NOT DOG TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING OWNERS

Tiggs is a 12 month old beautiful young lady who loves a fuss but can still be a little timid at times. This is improving but she can still get easily overwhelmed. She likes to sit and watch and waits for you to go to her rather than come for attention. She loves her food and eats well. When she is happy she loves her people and she even doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled.

Due to her nervous nature we would not recommend that she is rehomed with young, boisterous children. She would however be fine with cat savvy children who will not overwhelm her and allow her to come to them.

Tiggs is not fussed on the other cats in her foster home and will hiss at them keeping a wide birth.

Not dog tested

Tiggs needs to be an only cat or could live with an older confident cat who will leave her alone. She could live with older cat savvy children.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO VISIT OWAIN

TO BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT

CAN BE ADOPTED AS AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH ANOTHER PLAYFUL PUPPY TOLERANT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED BUT IS YOUNG

LOVING OWNERS WHO CAN HELP HIM BECOME A HAPPY AND WELL ROUNDED RESCUE AMBASSADOR.

Owain is a 10 week old cavalier described by his foster mum as a very small bundle of energy. He is a feisty, confident, loveable, playful and active little boy who has no fear of the world around him. He is not a cuddly dog when he is in play and adventure mode and will wriggle out of your arms to get on with his fun, however as the day wears on and he tires he does like to have his cuddles and will happily lie in your arms for a while and might even fall asleep. He plays hard but he also sleeps well during the night and he loves his naps throughout the day. Beware however as he is a shark in disguise and steer clear of his bitey teeth and sharp claws! Obviously this is completely normal for a puppy but something for the adults to take into consideration if he is homed with younger children.

Owain has been well socialised in his foster home with adults, children and dogs of all kinds. He’s a confident little man who loves everything and is afraid of nothing.

He has not met any cats but is young enough to learn about them but given his feisty nature we would recommend confident dog savvy cats.

Owain sleeps all night downstairs in his own room without an issue, he will only make a fuss if his breakfast is late! His bed is within a puppy pen and he has puppy pads he can access in the pen. He also takes his naps in there during the day. He is currently fed four times a day every four hours and absolutely loves his food! House training has only just been started so this will obviously be ongoing as he is so young. He has been fostered with another adult foster cavalier and the much bigger resident dog but he is not dependant on either. He loves to play, either with another dog or human or if they’re not available he will amuse himself with his toys.

He has only just had his first vaccination so he has not been walked. I have however taken him out and carried him for little walking trips around the neighbourhood so he gets used to different sights and sounds. He has been absolutely fine, shows no fear of different noises and traffic etc

Owain is looking for a home where his people will be around most of the time and be able to give him the excellent start in life he deserves. He will need to go to puppy training when he is fully vaccinated. He is a confident and energetic little boy who loves to play and he can go as an only dog or with another dog who will tolerate his rough and tumble puppy play. He can be homed with children of any age but adults must be aware of his sharp little puppy teeth and claws when he is around young children and ensure they respect his tiny size and boundaries when handling him.

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

COULD LIVE WITH CATS

LOVING OWNERS WHO ARE AROUND MOST OF THE TIME TO GIVE HER LOTS OF ATTENTION

Eugenie is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as an amazing little dog who loves everyone she meets. Her tail never stops wagging and she likes nothing better than spending her days with her humans, whether that’s going for a nice walk or sitting next to you on the sofa.

Eugenie is a real people person and adores being fussed and loves to be as close to her family as possible.

She has been great with any children she’s met. She could happily live in a home with sensible children who aren’t too boisterous and don’t leave food around as she will happily help herself.

Eugenie would be fine to live with cats

She is great around the house. She loves her food and would happily spend all day eating if she was allowed. She is fully toilet trained and sleeps quietly overnight in the kitchen of her foster home although is secretly hoping for a home where she can sleep in the bed.

Eugenie is great on the lead and enjoys being out and about, she doesn’t pull at all on the lead. She is happy to greet other dogs and people while out walking and currently goes for a walk of up to an hour a day but is a fine weather walker and would be happy to cut that short if it’s raining.

Eugenie would like a home where her owners are home for most of the day as she isn’t keen on being left. She could live with another dog but this isn’t essential as she’s more of a people person. She doesn’t need a particularly active home but someone who is happy to take her for daily gentle walks
