Adelina D2022-189

  • Resident dog
  • Cat friendly
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient loving family

Adelina, or Addy as her foster family call her is a 5 year old Maltese described as he most gentle, sweet natured little angel you could ever meet. She is growing in confidence daily, and a wonderful inquisitive nature is emerging! Although Addy is naturally nervous of her new world, as long as her trusted human is with her, she is comforted and happy. With gentleness and patience this beautiful little soul will continue to blossom.

Addy is initially timid with unknown people, but is happy to share her space, and enjoys being gently stroked after a little while. She has settled so well in her foster home and greets her foster family with a big waggy tail, and little licks. She will choose to be in the company of her humans, happily following foster mum around to see what she’s doing. She hasn’t met people in the outside world yet, but settled quickly on a visit to foster nanna’s house, happily trotting up and down stairs to explore, before jumping up onto a chair for a treat!

Addy hasn’t met any children whilst in foster. Due to her size and timid, gentle nature a home with very young children could cause anxiety. Older, dog savvy children would be fine.

Addy is completely calm and at ease with the foster family cat.
Not small furry tested.

Addy sleeps through the night in her dog bed next to foster mum and dad’s bed, and now jumps up for morning cuddles! She toilets outside, but does not ask to be let out yet. She enjoys exploring different rooms, and knows the sound of the treat jar being opened!

Addy travels well by car, wearing a harness with dog seat belt. Not being fully vaccinated, she hasn’t explored her community yet, but is learning to walk on lead in readiness for new adventures!

Addy would love a calm home with someone around for most of the time, and a gentle dog friend to help her feel safe. A safe, enclosed garden in which to explore and play is essential.
