Dazzle D2024-158
• Needs a resident dog
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Dog savvy children
Dazzle is a 4 year old Cavapoo described by her foster mum as a proper people’s dog, wherever foster mum is there she is, and if foster mum is on the move she is one step behind. She loves to cuddle and be stroked and is desperate to be a lap dog! She can be a little shy initially but it doesn’t take her long to wag that tail and come for a fuss.
Dazzle could live with all aged children providing they are old enough to understand she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13
Not cat or small furry tested.
She doesn’t understand what toys are yet but we are sure she could learn.
Lead and harness training is a work in progress but the more she trusts you the more willing she will be.
Dazzle sleeps on a bed on the floor in her fosterers room and sneaks on the bed if she thinks she can get away with it.
House training is doing amazingly and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she shouldn’t continue to be clean in the home.
All 5 dogs in the home eat together without issue, she does have a tendency to let others steal her food so is watched to make sure she eats her food without helpers.
Dazzle would suit a variety of homes, she is confident and adaptable. The most important attribute is that there is someone who is around most of the time to give her company and snuggles, she would need a resident similar sized dog as she gets great comfort from curling up with her small/medium breed friends.

She is happy to be left home with the other dogs and doesn’t make a peep, she is truly a joy to look after and will be thoroughly missed.

Pixie D2024-159
• Needs a resident dog to learn from
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Dog savvy children
• Would benefit from attending puppy classes
Pixie is a15 Month Old Poodle described by her foster mum as a super friendly girl. She can be a little shy at first but once she realises you are kind she will come over for strokes and cuddles.
Pixie is great with kids and could live with any age children that are old enough to understand that she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13.
She is not tested with cats or small furries.
She hasn’t quite learnt what toys are for yet but she enjoys a good rough and tumble with the resident labradors.
She hasn’t been far yet as she is not fully vaccinated but has walked to the vets and was very good on the lead, this will improve with practice once she is fully vaccinated.
She is quite happy to sleep anywhere as long as she has some doggy company, she has slept downstairs with the other dogs, on a bed on the bedroom floor and in the bed itself.
She is doing amazingly with her house training and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she won’t continue to be clean in the house.
All 5 dogs in residence eat together with no issues. She does have a tendency to ‘sample’ the other dogs food so something to be aware of if her new fur siblings would not like this.
Pixie would suit a wide variety of homes. She is young and confident so still very malleable, she’d be just as happy in a busy family home as in a quiet older home. Her only must is that she needs a canine companion, she relies heavily on the other dogs in the home for company and learning how to be a dog.

• Can be an only dog with doggy friends can also love with another dog
• Older dog savvy children
• Would benefit from attending puppy class
• Patient family
Acorn is a 11 month old Westie who after being in foster has become a bright little girl. She loves attention and being brushed. Now she has found her paws foster mum says she is into everything.
She is jumping about playing with toys, chewing ,and asking for attention. She will play with toys on her own or with another playful dog.

She still gets her quiet times and likes to go under the shelves in her safe area but comes out quickly if she thinks she’s missing something and is quiet and cuddly with foster mum when there are visitors.
She can be rehomed with gentle dog savvy children over 5.
She will run up and asked to be picked up on sofa, even though she can jump up and will push in for the best position next to foster mum.

Acorn adores the garden and loves a good zoomies. Especially if one of her friends has come around for a play date. Then its game on of who can run the fastest. Despite loving a good play she also enjoys it when they go home and she gets foster mum all to herself for snuggles and treats.
Acorn is starting to enjoy the outside world and loves all the smells and colours in the fields. She is still worried when she can hear people and cars and is not keen on walking on the pavements but is getting better every day she just needs practice with her forever family.
Not cat or small furry tested.

She currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs.

Acorn is now completely house trained.

She loves her food but doesn’t really like sharing so if there is another dog in the home she will need to be fed separate or watched. She is just being a bit of a princess after having a ruff start and doesn’t know how to share.

Acorn can be an only dog with doggy friends or can live with another dog but her pawrents will have to teach her how to share nicely. She is still very young as is only now being given rules to follow so it’s all a bit new to her. She would suit most homes but is not super active. Rosemary -D2024-147
• Needs a resident dog for confidence
• Older dog savvy children
• Not cat or small furry tested
Rosemary is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a timid, gentle soul who is lacking in confidence and at the moment is very dependent on the resident dogs to show her that all will be okay and she is safe now. She loves cuddles in her safe space, which is an open crate with lots of nice, warm fluffy blankets. She is still decompressing and is enjoying spying on foster mum watching what she gets up to. She is not yet looking for fuss and attention but her tail is wagging non stop and she is almost there.
Rosemary has a cheeky side when unobserved and will pinch anything not tidied away or left on worksurfaces. This is not her fault no one has loved her enough before to teach her the house rules. So be warned if you leave it out, she thinks its hers and will take it off to her safe place for a chew and cuddle. She doesn’t know the joy of toys yet and also likes to chew on these. She is starting to enjoy being brushed and this will need to continue in her forever home to make her confident to go to the groomers.
Rosemary can live with older dog savvy children who have the patience and time to encourage her to integrate into the home without fear.
Not cat or small furry tested.
She has been for her first walk today out in the big wide world and although nervous she coped extremely well. Foster mum met some friends when out and after commenting how pretty Rosemary is and giving her time to relax, she allowed some gentle pets. This will continue with her foster mum but she really needs a new big brother or sister to show her all the joys the world has to offer our princess.
She sleeps soundly in her crate in the kitchen
She is almost fully house trained. She will always toilets in the garden when out. So she needs a routine and nice treats when she has done good.
She has no food issues and is starting to enjoy having good food and regular meals. She eats her food slowly and will need to be watched to make sure no other dogs scare her off her food. She is also learning what treats are and takes these gently.
Rosemary needs a home with a confident resident dog of similar size and a family that can give her time and patience to become a loving companion. She will come out of her shell and it will be joyous to watch. This girl has a bright future in front of her and needs her family to be her guiding light.

Pearl D2024-150
• Needs a resident dog
• Good with cats
• Older teenage children or no children
Pearl is a 4 year old Cavashon who at present is very wary around humans, she needs time and patience to learn to trust. Despite her nervousness she already responds to gentle voices and encouragement and wants very much to be part of the family. She is getting braver every day. She has never shown any form of aggressive or reactive behaviour to her humans or dog friends. Her foster family all agree that pearl is an absolute sweetheart.
Pearl’s personality is emerging daily and foster mum says she’s an adorable little girl who melts your heart. She gives sweet little licks and gets so excited when she sees her foster mum in the morning. Her cheeky side is starting to emerge too, any dropped tissues are pounced on with joy!
Pearl is absolutely lovely with her foster family’s cat. She will walk around with him in the garden which is so cute as they are almost the same size!
Pearl needs a quieter home, so an adult only house or a family with older, dog savvy teenagers would best meet her needs.
Pearl is quickly learning the joy of playing with toys. She will choose one to chew or lick and take it up
onto the settee. She loves watching the resident dogs play together, and will also pinch her foster mum’s ball of wool given half a chance!
Pearl hasn’t been outside her foster homes garden yet. She is happy to wear a mesh harness and is learning not to be afraid of walking on a lead. All she needs is practice and a calm dog to learn from.
Pearl sleeps in a soft dog bed, cuddled up to her foster sister, next to her foster parent’s bed. Sometimes she has the cutest little snore!
Pearl is learning quickly to follow the resident dogs outside to toilet. She sleeps right through the night with
no accidents.
Pearl absolutely loves her food and treats, her little tail wags and wags when she sees her bowl coming! She does not resource guard her food at all.
Peari will thrive in a quieter environment with someone home most of the time. She is a small, gentle dog and boisterous children and a hectic home could cause anxiety and distress for her. She needs a safe, secure garden to play in and a kind, friendly dog to help her feel safe and to learn from.

Meg D2024-148
• Can be an only dog
• Can live with another dog
• Not cat tested
• Older family who will adore her
Meg is a 9 year old black Labrador who loves people, especially women. She enjoys a quiet life and loves her cuddles and belly rubs. She is happy to come and meet people with her tail wagging and loves it if she is made a fuss of. She is very much a people dog. She enjoys her walks and is always happy to meet people along the way. She is still a bit bewildered to find herself in new surroundings but is in foster due to no fault of her own.
Not cat tested but has not reacted to cats whilst out on walks.
Meg is fine with children, happy to be around them and have fusses. She would be happy to have children visiting now and again if not living with them but quieter older children as she would not cope with boisterous youngsters.
Meg has her own toys but is not yet ready to play with them but once settles she would probably like to play again.
Meg loves her walks and gets excited when having her lead on. She is walked on a slip lead and will initially pull a little out of excitement, but soon settles and loves to jog around the fields with her tail wagging. She is happy to be walked on her own or with other dogs. She walks really well on the lead and is not bothered by traffic.
Meg currently sleeps on a rug with her blankets in a room away from the resident dogs. She has been into the living room and climbed on the sofa. In a home without other dogs she would probably love to be a sofa/lap dog but at 36kg probably a sofa dog would be better!.
Meg is completely house trained and will go to the door to ask to go out. She loves being out in the garden and has to be persuaded to come back in sometimes.
Meg prefers to eat away from the other dogs and she likes her human with her to tell her she is a good girl and to encourage her to eat. She is currently eating 2 meals a day but was used to having food available all day, she is gradually learning that she has to eat only at meal times which is better for her. She takes treats gently and likes to eat them away from the others dogs.
Meg would love a quiet home with access to a garden and someone around most of the time to give her cuddles and take her for walks. She is not bothered by other dogs but would probably prefer to be an only dog in the home and meet others when out and about on walks. She enjoys her walks and would love to be able to have fun off lead in a secure field as she loves to run and sniff. Whilst Meg is used to being an only dog, she may well happily live with another quiet dog. She would be an ideal companion for an older active woman or couple where she would be the centre of their world.

Rosie D2024

• Can be an only dog
• Can also live with another dog
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Family who likes walks and cuddles
• Family willing to meet her a few times so she gets to know them
Rosie is a 3 year old lurcher who loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa after a fun walk! She is an energetic bouncy girl and loves playing with toys in the house. After spending her first 11 months living in a kennel, she was brought into a vets seriously unwell where she was then signed over. Once back on the mend she was fostered and adopted and settled well in to a family home. Due to a sad change in circumstances Rosie now needs to find another home. She needs a local home that can visit and get to her know her a few times before she moves to her new forever home.
She is toilet trained but will need walking regularly. She walks really well on the lead and loves a good zoomie session off lead. She responds well to her name and will come back easily especially if you have a treat for her.
She is very food oriented and can be a little bit cheeky and get food off the sides in the kitchen but has never shown any food aggression around people or other dogs. She absolutely loves treats and will sit and wait patiently to be given them!
Even though she has three legs that doesn’t stop her from jumping around excited when her favourite people come through the door!
Rosie can be an only dog but does enjoy other dogs company once she’s introduced to them so can live with other dogs. She hasn’t been cat or little furry tested in a home.
Rosie can be a nervous girl due to her bad past experiences and can take some time coming around to new people but once she trusts you she is the most loyal lovely girl.
Rosie has been around children regularly but is bouncy and energetic so would need to be 5+ and dog savvy.
Rosie would fit in to an active home that has plenty of time for walks and after walk snuggles. She settles well in a car for travelling short distances.

Morgen D2024-145

  • To be adopted on a neutering and training agreement
  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with a resident dog
  • Young enough to learn about cat

Morgen is an 11 week old Bichon who after a timid start is turning into a typical mischievous puppy. He is adapting very well to the loss of his eye due to an accident and loves to play and cuddle. He has just discovered toys and enjoys a game of tug and chewing on his nylabone. He loves people and despite being initially very shy and timid when he arrived in rescue, he quickly found his paws.

Outside he’s only had limited contact as he is carried in a sling as not fully vaccinated. He does find the outside world a bit overwhelming at the moment but he is being taken out for short periods growing in length and is slowly getting used to being outside and adored by all who meet him.

He is not cat savvy but is young enough to learn but I’d say a placid dog savvy cat, we wouldn’t want to risk a cat swiping at him and possibly causing another injury.

He can be rehomed with sensible children 7 and up. He can be very timid and unsure at first so needs space to come around in his own time and not be overwhelmed with attention. He is also in baby shark mode due to teething so his new owners will need to re direct this behaviour.

He plays with his toys both alone and with others. He is in foster with a much larger dog so they are not great playmates although they get on very well.

He has a harness on every day to go in the puppy sling but not quite so sure of the lead yet, just a typical puppy that will need training and would benefit from attending puppy school.

Morgen sleeps in a crate next to foster mums bed. He is still super young so wakes up at least once during the night to toilet. It took some persuading for him to use the crate and he’s getting there now. We don’t think he had a positive experience with them previously and was probably shut in one for long periods after his injury. If his new home continues with a crate they must make it as positive as possible and not overuse.

He is absolutely fine and eats everything given to him.

Morgen has not had the best start in life thanks to a traumatic injury that resulted in the loss of his left eye. However he is ready to put all that behind him look forward to a lovely new life with special people who will see him for the loving boy he is. He is adapting really well to his new reality and really there is no difference between him and other puppies of his age, he’s bright, cuddly, playful and ready to chew everything in sight as he’s in full puppy teething mode!

Morgen would fit into a variety of situations, he can go as an only dog with plenty of doggy friends or with another playful, kind dog of a similar size who would be tolerant of a young pup. He will absolutely need people who are around for most of the day, he is far too young to be left alone for long. He will need people who are willing to put the work in with positive training so he becomes a well rounded adult. He is very shy and unsure at first so his people need to give him some time to find his feet but once he does he will want lots of cuddles so be prepared. Also please don’t apply if you’re not prepared to have your sleep interrupted for a very short time, he took a little while to settle at night and will wake once to toilet. He is the loveliest pup so you absolutely won’t mind as soon as he’s snuggled on your lap.

Mikey D2024-127

Older dog savvy children

Needs to be an only dog

No cats
Mikey arrived in his new foster home about 5 weeks ago. He is blind but may be able to distinguish a little between light and shade. Within a few days he had created a mental map of the house and garden and rarely bumps into anything.
He is completely housetrained and there have been no accidents. In the garden he is meticulous about his toilet habits and takes his time choosing the right place. Out in the park he gleefully deposits his presence all over the place.
Mikey is friendly when meeting other dogs but isn’t too keen at them running at his face so his foster pawrents get between any approaching dogs and his head and direct their attention elsewhere.
As his nose is his main source of information about his surroundings he tends to lurch about wherever his nose sends him so he needs close lead control to stop him walking in front of you ! He mooches along happily with his nose to the ground most of the time.
He enjoys the attention of people he meets when out and loves it when children make a fuss of him.
At home he is happiest curled up next to his foster pawrents sleeping.
Mikey is a very serious dog and doesn’t interact with toys much. his foster family plan to get him a ball with a bell in soon, to see if he will chase that. His favourite distraction is a beef shin bone with bits of meat stuffed in it and will spend a long time figuring out how to get the food out.
Mikey sleeps on his upstairs bed and has to be woken up in the morning. He is very food oriented and can be found right behind his foster family if they are in the kitchen.

Tayari D2024-137

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Can live with older dog savvy children

Tayari is a 5 year old mini Poodle described by her foster family as a lovely little girl. She loves nothing more than to follow foster mum around and cuddle up next to her for a chat and cup of tea. Maybe a sneaky biscuit too but shhh don’t tell anyone. When new people come into the house she is very unsure of them and will run to a safe distance, occasionally she will bark until she feels comfortable, then she stops and gradually make her way back into the room. She can keep herself to herself but has a lot of love to give and will need her new pawrents to allow her time to adjust and approach when she is ready. Once settled and trusting she will approach to be picked up, where she will just snuggle up. She does give little kisses when she feels comfortable around you.

Tayari is not cat tested.

She can be rehomed with children aged 10 upwards.

Currently she doesn’t know how to play with toys, but foster mum is encouraging play time. Tayari will chase a ball in the garden which she is growing to love. In time we are sure she will find the joy of murdering a squeaky toy.

Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. She will wear a harness but panics any time the lead is picked up and does not currently like the pressure. She is practicing and playing with the harness on and a short lead trailing under supervision but it is going to take time for her to feel comfortable enough to explore the outside world and learn about adventures.

During the day she sleeps in the living room in a dog bed, or snuggled up on a chair/settee. During the night she sleeps in an open crate in the kitchen. When you put her to bed, she will initially whine but will settle all night.

House training is a work in progress. She will go outside if the door is open but needs a routine, lots of praise and treats when she does well.

She eats well around other dogs with no guarding, she will take treats from your hand once she trusts you.

Tayari needs a home with a resident dog to learn from. Her trust in humans is currently very fragile and the resident dog will help her be brave and to emerge from her shell to be the dog she should always have been. She would like a home with someone around most of the time so she can learn to trust and feel loved. She needs time to decompress and a family who will help her adjust.

Iris isn’t sure of toys, but foster mum is encouraging her to play and she will now play with a ball.

She is fine with a lead and harness on in the garden, but will need help to understand that this enables her to have lots of adventures outdoors.

She sleeps on a dog bed in the living room during the day, or beside you on the chair. During the night she sleeps in the kitchen in an open crate, and sleeps all night. She will have a little whimper when first put to bed, but then settles.

Iris is not cat or small furry tested.

Herbert D2024-142

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Fine with cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Herbert is a 5 year old poodle mix who is taking his time to work out the new world he has found himself in. He currently likes his own space but is taking it all in from a distance. He likes to surprise you by suddenly appearing wanting to know what you are up to.

With the resident dog it is a very different story. He is very playful with the other dogs in the garden but won’t play inside or if anyone is looking. He hasn’t had this chance before and is scared it will be ripped away from him or worse he will be told off.

He’s perfect with dogs and has never shown any aggression other than playful growls. He is also in foster with 2 cats and has paid no interest in them.

Herbert can live with dog savvy children 12 and over. Who will put no pressure on him and give him time to decompress and learn who it is to be a much loved pet.

He is currently fearful of men and his new family need to understand that this will improve in his own time and any new men in his life are going to be the last to be loved but when he does trust, he will with his whole heart.

He doesn’t currently play with toys but will chase the other dogs who have toys, so were sure he will catch on soon.

Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. Currently he will become flat to the ground and will either try and run or stay very still when presented with his harness and lead.

He sleeps in the dining room on a big comfortable cushion with lots of blankets (this is where he spends most of his time and this is his safe space). He is gated in there at night but other than that he has full access to downstairs and garden. He is 90% house trained and were sure once he’s settled he will be fine.

Treats and good food are all new to Herbert and he is taking treats from your hand and then running off with them not quite believing that it is all for him. He currently eats alone as he is easily bullied by others and the resident porky spaniel will eat all the food.

Herbert needs a very patient family with a resident dog who understands that he needs some time to settle and trust. He is getting more confident daily and is now ready for the next step in his journey to being loved and adored.

Rowling D2024-140

  • Needs a resident dog or dogs to learn from
  • Not cat tested
  • Dog savvy children

Rowling is a 5 year old Poodle Mix described by his foster family as friendly but still quite reserved. He follows his fosterer everywhere with a wagging tail but there is always that bit of a distance. He is improving every day and is never far away from foster mum. He can always be found laying near her feet and has just started to realise people are safe and is enjoying some gentle attention. With patient new owners we don’t doubt he will come out of his shell in no time.

He is loving the company of the other small dogs in his foster home and is watching and learning from them daily. Currently he does not know what toys are for and has never had anyone love him enough to play ball or give him positive rewards for anything.

He is not tested with cats or small furries.

He is currently in foster with dog savvy children aged 9-13 without any issue.

Toilet training is a work in progress and he is getting there he is learning from the resident dogs.

He currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs without issue.

He eats fine around the other dogs in his foster home and is beginning to learn what treats are.

Rowling would suit a patient home with a small calm resident dog/s who can teach him all about pet life, how to get belly scratches and that human hands are friendly. He is incredibly sweet and has blossomed so much in a short time, a cheeky personality is starting to show underneath the worry.

Nancy Bell D2024-132

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Fine with cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Nancy is a 6 year old very cute Caveshon who is currently very shy and anxious around people. She prefers to be with other dogs as the humans she’s encountered in her life so far have not been very kind to her. She has come a long way and is now ready to find that very special person who will show her not all humans are bad. Currently if approached she will sometimes move away but this is getting less and less and she is starting to enjoy being touched. She has met a few people outside the home and has allowed them to touch her but you can see she’s uncomfortable.

Nancy enjoys snuggling in a dog bed with the other dogs and loves to be outside in the garden which is currently her happy place. Although at night when she’s been to toilet, she cries to come back in so she can get back to her nice warm bed. She’s starting to realise that living in a house is lovely.

Nancy is absolutely fine with cats.

She can be rehomed with older teenage children.

Nancy has approached the dog toy box and sniffed and shown some interest in the toys. She watches the other dogs play fetch but hasn’t yet played, but were sure she will eventually.

Nancy will allow you to put a harness on but when you initially approach her with it, she will try to run off. This is being worked on with lots of praise and rewards. Out on walks she follows the others and gets her confidence from them but will stop and freeze if unsure. She just needs encouragement and time to decide if its safe to move on.

Nancy feels safest sleeping with the other dogs on foster mums bed .

Nancy has been absolutely brilliant with her toilet training. She follows the other dogs and goes outside, if the door is closed, she will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out.

Nancy will approach the other dogs bowls and has probably been used to her food being thrown on the floor and then all the dogs scrambling for food and eating from the floor all together.  She’s finding it difficult getting used to eating out of a bowl so is currently using a flat plate or the food is put on the floor. This is being worked on and if another dog approaches she will just walk away so she is being supervised to make sure she’s eating enough.

Nancy needs a calm, quite home with patient and kind humans. A home with a special furry friend or two so that she can continue to learn from and go to them for comfort. They will show her that not all humans are bad and that they can be trusted. Nancy is happiest when she’s with other dogs and her tail constantly wags. She will need a kind and very patient person who has the time and love to allow Nancy to get used to her new world in her own time. Trusting is going to take time but the reward will be a life time of unconditional love and the knowledge that you will have helped heal a very precious little dog.

Dahl D2024-

  • Could be an only dog with owner around most of the time
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Dog savvy children

Dahl is a 6 year old Toy Poodle described by his foster family as a companion dog through and through, he loves everyone he meets and just wants to be stroked and cuddled at all times. He is a real velcro dog, and would be very suited to an owner who is looking for a true companion, he wants to sleep with you, and sit with you and would probably join you in the bath given half a chance!

He is not tested with cats or small furries.

He in foster with children aged 9-13 and has no issues with them, especially if they also give cuddles!

He hasn’t yet figured out what toys are for but I’m sure he would learn with some encouragement.

Dahl walks nicely on a lead.

He sleeps in his foster mums bed and is not the sort of dog who will be happy in a crate downstairs he wants to be close to his owner.

Toilet training is a work in progress and he is getting there and will continue to improve if his new family set him up for success.

He eats in the same room as 4 other dogs in the home and is fine, though can have the odd grumble if I naughty pup tries to take all his food.

Treats are quite new to him and let’s just say he takes them from you with much gusto and enthusiasm!

While Dahl would suit various types of home, THE most important thing for him is someone who is around most of the time and actively wants a close companion dog. He is the sort of chap that wants to go to the pub with you and on holiday with you and will follow you to the ends of the earth as long as he can be loved on. e would happily live with or without a resident dog.

Stevie D2024-138

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Nor cat tested but young enough to learn
  • Sensible dog savvy children

Stevie is an 8 month old long haired mini Dachshund described by his foster family as an absolute sweetheart. He is friendly with everyone he has met so far. He’s a typical young pup being super cuddly and playful with a cheeky side. He especially likes to ‘help’ foster mum empty the laundry basket and then rolls around in the laundry for quality control checks.

He is untested with cats but is young enough to learn.

He has been in foster with children between the ages of 9 and 13 and has been great with all of them, more children means more cuddles for Stevie! He’d be happier with children younger than this, providing they are old enough to be careful with him and understand he is not a toy.

He is still learning what toys are but has learnt to play chase and tug and really enjoys these games.

He is still a bit confused as to what a lead is and what to do however if another confident dog walks ahead of him he quickly figures out he is meant to move too.

He sleeps in the living room with the resident dogs and sleeps well.

House training is still a work in progress and Stevie is getting there. He will continue to improve as long as his new family set him up for success.

Stevie absolutely loves a treat but is happy to wait his turn, he is happy to share his food bowl with the other dogs and also likes to share theirs!

Stevie would suit many different homes, providing his new family do their research into dachshunds to understand his breed traits. He would be very happy in a family home but just as happy in a quiet older home. He enjoys playing with the other dogs so I feel a home with another small breed dog who can be both a playmate and a good example to him would be beneficial. He would benefit from puppy training to ensure he grows up to be a well-balanced and well behaved boy.

To be adopted on a neutering and training agreement

Louisa May D2024-130

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Fine with cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Louisa is a 2 ½ year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster family as a nervous girl whose cheeky side has definitely started to come out in the last few days. She likes to take things she finds on tables and chew them especially when she thinks her humans can’t see enjoying everything in her new life. She has recently learnt to walk up and down stairs and will come if called but sometimes it takes her a bit of courage to do it.

Although getting braver Louisa is still shy of people she does not know. She comes to her foster family a little warily but when she is sat with them, she loves to cuddle and being stroked. She has recently realised that she loves to be carried and has excellent puppy dog eyes to convince her family of this.

She ignores the resident cat.

She has not met young children and due to her background and demeanour we would recommend older teenagers who can understand her nervousness.

She doesn’t understand toys yet but has started to try moving them. She loves her foster siblings and loves to follow them and will do what they do so playing with toys is not far off. She has recently discovered zoomies and running around the garden with the others and if they are having a snooze and don’t come when she is ready to play, she will howl until they come to do her bidding.

Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. She loves when she feels confident in new things and her tail is rarely not wagging. Patience, time and a resident dog will soon get her strutting her stuff. She just needs an owners willing to help her on her journey and adventures.

She sleeps on the bottom of her foster families bed and this is her favourite place to be.

Toilet training is a work in progress. She needs to be offered into the garden regularly and thrives on praise so this will be an easy learn for her with the right family.

She is currently being fed in another room as she is easily pushed off her food by another dog. She will however take a nice treat gently from your hand.

Louisa is a dog who is coming out of her frightened little shell but her flight instinct is still very strong. She is blossoming and being cheeky and now seems to understands that humans can be loving and maybe trustworthy. She is ready for that next part of her journey supported by her forever people to see how wonderful and happy a life she can have. She needs a quieter home with another dog or dogs as she will bond with them first.

Christie D2024-133

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Good with cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Christie is a 3 year old Cavashon described by her foster family as a little timid around people she doesn’t know, but is getting braver every day. She will happily lie next to you on the settee, and enjoys being stroked and gently brushed. She will greet you in the morning with a big, waggy tail and a happy dance! She’s just started to make excited little vocalisations which her foster family just love.

Christie is an absolute sweetheart. She’s a happy little soul, trotting around the house with her tail wagging. She adores being in the garden with the resident dogs, running around, sniffing and exploring. She loves to give little licks to her doggie friends and to her foster humans too! She is settling so well in her foster home, and has quickly learned the routine of a piece of carrot after breakfast and a spratt after tea!

Christie is lovely around her foster family’s cat and wags her tail whenever he comes into the room.

Christie hasn’t met any children while in foster. However, due to her timid nature, foster mum feels that very young children would probably cause anxiety and stress for Christie. Therefore, it would be in Christie’s best interest for any resident children to be around eight years or older, and to know how to be sensible around dogs.

Christie is still learning about toys. She’s a bit unsure what to do with them yet! She does watch the resident dogs playing with them, and tilts her little head from side to side when they make a squeaky noise!

As Christie hasn’t yet completed her vaccinations, and is now recovering from her spay, she hasn’t been introduced to harness and lead walking yet. Foster mum will introduce this when appropriate.

Christie sleeps through the night in her own bed in her foster parent’s bedroom. She snuggles down happily and is soon fast asleep. She will happily follow the resident dogs outside to toilet. She doesn’t yet ask to be let out.

She absolutely loves food and treats! She will gently take treat and give a lick to make sure it’s all gone! She eats with the resident dogs and doesn’t resource guard at all.

Christie’s lovely temperament would suit a wide range of homes. However, a very active, constantly busy environment would prove overwhelming for her. What is essential for Christie’s continual well being and happiness is the company of a gentle, resident dog, and someone to be home with her most of the time.

Nougat D2024-128

  • Can be an only dog with doggy friends
  • Can also live with another calm dog
  • No cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Nougat is a 11 month old Turkish Mixed breed around Collie size. Saved from a life on the streets and possible death he is one of the sweetest souls we have seen in rescue.

He is perfect with children but will need a calm home where children won’t wind him up as being a puppy and glad to be rescued he is easily excited.

He loves cuddles and equally loves playing.

He is a little gentleman and is happy to just mooch around the fields on his walks. His recall is brilliant and he is super bright so we are pushing him further in his training and he is currently working on recall with distractions.

He loves chasing birds that land in the secure field and also loves to play fetch with the ball. He listens well and happy to learn anything new.

He is fully house trained but this will need to be watched in a new home as he learns the lay of the land.

We would not recommend he be homed with cats.

he could go with other dogs as long as they are calm dogs.

Nougat would like a family who understands he’s had a ruff start but that is now behind him. He needs to gain a little weight and muscle so longer walks will need to be introduced slowly as he gets tired. The vet has said that some hill walking would be good but no climbing Snowden yet unless you are prepared to carry him some of the way.

He could be adopted with another calm dog for him to gently play with or as an only dog with lots of doggy friends. He would fit well into any family with older dog savvy children.

Monty D2024-114
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• No cats
• Older dog savvy children
Monty is a 1 year old Turkish Mixed breed who loves everyone, she is a very gentle girl who loves fuss and praise. She loves her walks and saying hello to everyone she meets. She has been bullied by other dogs in the past but has been working hard and now meets other well behaved dogs lovely. Whilst she adjusts to her new home and bonds with her pawrents she needs then to choose her friends so she stays safe.
Veterinary history to be discussed
Monty loves to play. She can be cheeky and thinks she can get away with chewing things as she is still a pup, but she is very intelligent and if told no and given a toy as an alternative, she will chew that instead and looks very pleased with herself. If they are not dog proof she likes to deconstruct them to see how well they were made.
Monty does not like cats so is not to be rehomed with any.
Monty is a medium size dog, a bit bigger than a border collie and very playful; she loves playing with toys and running around at top speed so older children who can move out of her way would be better. She is still a bit of a pup and everything is new to her so she can get excitable but listens when told to calm down.
Monty enjoys her walks and now trots around her village with confidence saying hello to all the people she meets when out She’s become a bit a local star and is happy to met and greet with foster mums say so. In her new home she will initially need to be walked with a harness and lead but as she bonds and gets used to her new surroundings this can change. She responds well to praise and encouragement and her lead walk training has come on great. She always looks so pleased with herself when she is praised for being brave. She stays close to her human on lead and has only been off lead in a secure field where she also stayed close.
Monty sleeps downstairs with the other dogs on a comfy dog bed. She has not yet mastered getting onto a sofa. She sleeps quietly all night.
She is completely house trained and has always gone into the garden to toilet.
Monty loves her food and eats nicely taking treats gently.
Monty would love a fairly active home where she has access to a large garden and people around most the time who will be patient and supportive teaching her how to enjoy walks and adventures. Monty loves being in the garden most of the day, she likes to lie on the grass and watch the sky and birds. She loves being outdoors but also loves coming in to curl up by her humans.

Lwcus D2024-54

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with other dogs
  • Not cat tested
  • Loves children but need to be dog savvy
  • Vet history to be discussed

Lwcus is a 13 month old Turkish Mixed Breed who loves people and dogs. He likes to say hello to everyone he meets on walks and will give cuddles if allowed to. He gets on fine with the other dogs in his foster home and at the ed of the day he loves to have cuddles on the sofa with his human.

Vet history to be discussed

Lwcus loves to sleep on a comfy sofa but will also take himself off to a dog bed in a quiet room or in an open crate if he wants some time to himself. He loves his toys and likes to play. He is very confident and gentle with other dogs. He is just a very happy boy who enjoys everything.

Not tested, but he has seen cats out on walks and not reacted to them.

Lwcus loves children and can be very gentle but as he likes to jump up for a cuddle it would be better if he was homed with older children, 10 plus unless dog savvy and experienced with dogs.

Lwcus prefers to play with toys alone, he likes a hard toy to chew on or a cuddly to snuggle with. He is not bothered if another dog takes it, he’ll just fetch something else. He loves to go for walks with other dogs but just as happy to go on his own.

He loves his walks and his favourite walk is with his dog friends over the fields where he loves to surf through long grass on a long line. Recall will need to be worked on as he has not yet been off lead. He is great on the lead and gets excited when he knows he is going out. He is great in the car, sits quietly on the back seat attached to his seat belt. He even loves going to the vet. He has been walked in a town and was really good, stopping to say hello to people and staying close. Not bothered at all by traffic and listens to ‘wait’ to cross roads.

Lwcus sleeps downstairs on a cosy dog bed or sofa with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves his sleep and is always last to get up.

Totally house trained, he goes out to the garden when let out or does his business out on walks.

He knows where he has his food and which bowl is his. All the dogs know not to approach others whilst they are eating so he knows his food is just for him. He will not go near another dog that is eating. He loves his treats and waits patiently for his, happy for others to have theirs first. He takes them very gently and leaves the other dogs alone to enjoy theirs.

Lwcus would love an active family home where he gets to go on lots of walks and adventures. He can be left for short periods of time but would prefer to have someone around most of the time.

Ronan D2024 – 117

  • Needs a resident dog to learn and play with
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Ronan is an 8 month old Bichon who is desperate to trust people and loves being close to you but doesn’t like it when you go towards him. He likes to choose to be in your company rather that you choosing to be with him/her. This is improving daily and he is now jumping up on the sofa looking for attention.

Despite being desperate to love and trust and not wanting to be alone. He is very playful with the resident dogs and toys. In fact he has come out of his shell so much he loves to steal slippers and toys taking them to his bed and storing them as treasure.

He has not been walked far as he has been decompressing since arriving in foster. He has been practicing in the garden with a harness and lead getting used to gentle pressure under supervision and with lots of positive encouragement and treats. He is now taking short walks around the block with the resident dog for company and confidence. Every day is a new day and every day he is learning.

His nosey side is starting to come out as he loves to follow foster mum everywhere to see wat is happening and if it involves any treats. He is still unsure of any new people who come to the home but if they ignore him and give him time to think about it he comes closer to see what’s going on.

Ronan has loads of energy chasing the other dogs and zooming around the garden. As he is still young mentally and physically for his age he loves to have lots of power naps on a nice furry blanket or pillow and then he is ready to go again.

Ronan is not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn.

He can be homed with dog savvy children 7 and over who would maybe like to read to him until he gets his confidence to play with them.

Currently he sleeps in a play pen and is quiet and clean all night.

House training is a work in progress and is improving every day. As he enjoys spending lots of time in the garden this is getting better and better.

Ronan eats fine around the other dogs and is starting to learn what treats are.

Ronan needs an active home with another dog. Its going to take him a little time to get to full strength and confidence but he has heard the other dogs mention mountain climbing, paddleboarding and sand squirrel hunting so he has now put all these adventures on his to do list. All he needs now id the family who will help him get there.

Mirabel D2024-123

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Patient family

Mirabel is a 2.5 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as having the waggiest of tails. When she meets people for the first time she’s a bit unsure which is understandable due to her being an ex breeder but she is definitely learning to enjoy cuddles and human laps.

Mirabel has eyes you can melt in she’s a worried little girl and scared to approach humans to start but it doesn’t take her long to learn to trust and then she becomes a cuddle monster who adores cuddles on the sofa laying her head on her human lap.

Mirabel is happy around other dogs she has just started to play and she doesn’t bother with cats she sees in the garden.

Mirabel can be a bit scared by sudden movements or noises so older calmer children would be best.

Mirabel has started to play with her foster brother which is lovely to see and she’s slowly learning to relax and have fun.

Walking on a harness and lead is a work in progress but patience time and understanding and she will get it in no time.

Mirabel sleeps in the kitchen with the resident dog all night with no problem.

House training is coming on really well but could regress slightly in her new home.

She eats well and with all cavaliers loves her food.

Mirabel would thrive in a home with a young playful active dog that will show her the world outside is fun. A home that will be patient and loving and let her do things in her own time which will allow her to flourish. Once she is settled she is going to be a beautiful addition to any family and she with be a loyal loving companion.

Heulog D2024-121

  • Could be an only dog
  • Could also live with another dog
  • Dog savvy children over 12
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Heulog is a 8 month old Bichon who was initially nervous when she arrived in foster. Since being in foster she has improved greatly and although still a little nervous and skittish it turns out she loves people. She follows foster mum around the house and garden and loves attention and is beginning to get excited when she sees her foster family. She is now enjoying cuddles and is relaxing into it.

Signs of a normal carefree puppy are beginning to emerge and she’s starting to play and will suddenly burst into a short zoomy session. She is showing an interest in toys and she particularly likes a good strong chew. She is still shy with strangers but in time this will improve.

Not cat or small furry tested but is young enough to learn.

Heulog is still somewhat nervous so older children 12 and up would be ok but it really depends on the child’s experience of dogs as she’s not a dog that will immediately want to play, cuddle and go out for walks, she will need patience and a quieter home at first so no very small children.

Heulog has just started to show an interest in toys especially strong chews and stuffed toys, which she will also happily unstuff. She will play with the other dogs in her foster home some of which are much larger, she was initially frightened around them and would bark every time she saw hem but now they’re friends although Heulog is not brave enough yet to play.

Heulog now walks on a harness and lead and is enjoying learning that the outside world is safe. She has been walking in quiet areas and building up bit by bit to busier areas.

Heulog sleeps in a crate with her foster sister which is inside a puppy pen, the crate has been her safe space since she arrived in foster and she will need a similar safe space in her new home at least until she has her bearings. I suspect she is also the kind of dog who would eventually like to sleep close to her people when she feels safe around them.

Heulog is house trained as long as she has regular access to the garden. She sleeps all night in her crate with no accidents.

She has been fine eating around others but they are fed separately as she is a very greedy fast eater and will finish anothers food as she is much slower. They have treats together and are very well behaved.

Heulog will need a calm home with kind and patient pawrents who are home most of the time and who are willing to go at her pace to help her feel safe and comfortable. As she is showing herself to be a people lover, in the right circumstances she could be homed as an only dog as long as she has lots of doggy friends. She can also be homed with a similar sized dog who won’t mind sharing the attention with her and is happy to be a friendly role model. She is a very gentle and kind little girl who’s decided she rather likes the love and attention she gets from good humans and is looking for very best home where she can love those humans in return and put all the bad memories behind her.

Petal D2024-120

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Older teenage children
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Petal is an 8 month old Bichon Frise puppy who came to us from a breeder. She is a nervous little girl but is brave and pushes herself to do things out of her comfort zone. Her instinct is to run and hide, but you can then see her stop and allow herself to be picked up and cuddled after seeing that we are safe people and want to love her.

She has made amazing progress over the past weeks in foster, going from only eating alone in her safe place, to now happily sharing a bowl with other dogs and enjoying her food.

As Petal is nervous, she will need a confident resident dog(s) to learn from. She likes to sit and watch other dogs to see what they do and will then tentatively give things a try for herself.

She would benefit from an adult only home or a home with older children who aren’t too boisterous as she is scared of strange sounds and fast movements.

Petal has had a little go at walking on a lead but she is still very scared of outdoors at the moment, so this will be a work in progress.

She will need calm and patient family to help her learn that life can be less scary and give her love and reassurance.

Petal is clean in the house with no accidents and she loves exploring the garden where she knows she is safe. She will sleep happily in a crate or on the bed and sleeps all night.

Petal has started to enjoy playing with toys which is a joy to see and is learning to play with our resident dogs.

Petal loves to be cuddled and kissed and has started to give gentle licky kisses in return. She really is the perfect little puppy and has been a quiet and clean house guest here. Petal is in good health and has been neutered. Her fur is growing back beautifully after being cut short. She will need to be groomed regularly to prevent her becoming matted. Whomever adopts this beautiful little soul will be rewarded with the sweetest little girl who is loving, gentle and will be the perfect companion.

Blossom D2024-119

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with another non-dominent dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat tested
  • Would benefit from attending puppy classes to help with socialising.

Blossom is a very loving 8 month old Bichon Frise pup who came to us from a breeder.

Her absolute favourite thing in the world will be you! She loves humans so much and just wants to shower you with affection by licking you and snuggling in to you. She is more human orientated than dog orientated and for this reason, she can be an only dog. She could go to a family with a non dominant resident dog, but she can become worried that you’re going to give the other dog(s) her attention and will growl at them, so this will need to be monitored carefully and discouraged.

Blossom would benefit from some puppy training classes to help her with socialising. She can be nervous of new noises she hasn’t experienced before, so an adult only home or a home with older children would be best. She will need a home where someone is home most of the day.

Blossom’s perfect life would be a calm home with a comfortable lap to sit on. She just wants someone who will make her feel loved and safe and allow her to sleep on their lap (and in their bed). In return she will keep you company by following you around all day so you never feel alone and she’ll snuggle up to you at night to keep you safe.

Blossom will need someone who is patient to give her time to decompress and get used to her new home. She is, however, confident and eager to learn, so I’m sure this will be a smooth process. She has been clean in the house with no accidents so far. She has had a little try of walking on a lead and although this will take time to build up to walks outdoors, I feel she will pick it up easily.

Blossom eats well, is neutered and is looking more and more beautiful every day as her fur grows back after having it clipped short. She will be picture perfect in no time at all and will need regular grooming appointments to prevent her getting matted.

Blossom has a grade 1 heart mumur which needs no treatment at present but will need to be monitored. We can advise further on this at the application stage. Overall, Blossom is a very sweet and loving little girl who will be the perfect companion dog for someone. She has been the perfect house guest but is now ready for her forever family to take her home and show her how wonderful life can be.

Hapus D2024-122

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Ignores cats
  • Dog savvy children over 10
  • Patient family who will give her time to blossom

Hapus is an 8.5 month old Bichon who has really come out of her shell lately. She is loving cuddles on foster mums lap and loves to sleep close to her at night. Foster mum is often awoken to a furry little white thing staring at her lovingly. Her current favourite hobby is following foster mum around the house and garden.

This lovely sweet girl loves a cuddle. She’s also discovering toys can be great fun. She likes to chew bones and roll a ball around and when she has the zoomies she’s like a rocket running round! Trusting humans can still be a challenge for her and she can get scared and shy but given time to process, she learns to accept others. If cheese is involved, she can be sitting on a new person’s lap in under 5 minutes!

Hapus has no problem wearing a harness and enjoys walks which are on the quieter side. We are sure as  her confidence grows, she will start enjoying going further afield and we can’t wait to hear about  her adventures. As with most ex breeders she can become nervous when out and about and she needs support and time to process what is going on around her. This way all her adventures are positive and she learns to understand that people and the outdoor world is not going to hurt her.

Hapus has been cat tested and as she’s the same size as a fully grown cat she takes them in her stride and ignores them.

Hapus will do well in a home where children are old enough to understand that she takes time to feel comfortable and that they initially would need to wait until she feels she can approach them. Whilst acknowledging this can often depend on the temperament of the children it would probably be best if the children are aged 10 plus.

Hapus loves to watch other dogs and were confident with the right little partner in crime she will be running around with them in no time.

She currently sleeps on her foster carers bed along with the other resident dog and sleeps all night long.

Hapus is completely house trained and will bark to go outside to toilet.  Currently she prefers company when outside in the garden as she can be surprised by new sounds and will run back into the house if she’s uncertain of what’s going on.

Currently, Hapus is fed in a quiet spot, she has no guarding issues but were not sure if food has been used as a way to ‘capture’ her in the past and she can become nervous and not eat. Foster mum is also making sure that she eats all her food as she can easily be pushed off her food by another dog.

Hapus will do well in most homes as long as it’s calm whilst she settles in. She’s incredibly sweet and will blossom even more with lots of love and a little patience. She needs a resident dog to continue her attempts at breaking the land zoomy speed record with and to have someone to continue to learn from.
