Our little panthers are 5 months old now and looking for their forever homes. They are super playful and cuddly. They also know how to use the litter tray and scratching post and are almost too big too swing from the curtains. Their foster mum says that they purr like little trains when they are cuddled up to her at night holding her hostage under their warm happy bellies.

Teddy is a 10-month old Pug x Chihuahua who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He is a delightful young dog. He can’t get enough attention and will lap up as much fuss as possible. The second you sit down he’s straight on your lap whether it be sofa, dinner table or computer chair.

People – Teddy loves people. He is a cuddle monster and will jump on your lap for a fuss the second you sit down. He will not be rehomed with children under five as he would be too much for them.

Dogs –  Although Teddy lives in a multi-dog house he does like to have all the fuss so would like to be the only dog in his new home or  at least live with an older dog who is happy to take a back seat while Teddy gets a large share of attention.

Cats – Teddy has not been tested with cats.

In the home – Teddy is a good boy in the home. He is toilet trained and not destructive at all. He sleeps quietly in a crate overnight and enjoys his toys. He doesn’t like to share his food with other dogs so supervision when feeding is needed if he isn’t the only dog. Teddy could be left for short periods. He is a bit vocal with other dogs so this will need further work.    

Out and about – Teddy travels well in the car and enjoys going for walks. He is a bit vocal with other dogs so this will need further work. He isn’t aggressive just noisy and is fine if an off-lead dog runs up to him.                                                                                       

Type of home – Teddy would like a home where he is the centre of attention. He would be happy being an only dog and being allowed on the furniture to cuddle up to his human is a must. He likes going for leisurely strolls around the beach or local parks

Mouse is around 4 months old and is a Jack Russell terrier cross, who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. Mouse is a quiet girl, having not had the best start to life, she is learning that people can be trusted.  Mouse loves to cuddle up with her furry friends and needs a confident dog to continue to help her build her confidence. She had a cheeky nature once she trusts and loves hiding her toys.  Digging is a favourite pastime of hers. Playing and sleeping are currently her favourite things to do

People – Mouse cannot be homed where young children reside or where very small children would visit. Due to her history this would put Mouse at risk of biting. Mouse does not like to be picked up.

Dogs –   Mouse loves her doggy friends and must be homed with one at least. She loves to play so a confident young dog is preferable. Mouse will not be homed where a resident dog is not present.

Cats – Not tested

In the home – Mouse is housetrained and sleeps with her furry friends in the kitchen. Mouse loves her food and is happy to share. Mouse can be left for short periods. Mouse does not like a crate.

Out and about – She travels well in the car. Mouse is very nervous when meeting new people due to her history. She does not like people approaching over the top of her head, her Foster mum has been working on this, she now tolerates but is still scared.

Type of home – Mouse needs a home that will continue to teach her she is safe and give her time and patience. Mouse has a wonderful personality when she is given space to make friends when she feels safe. Mouse will not tolerate children as she is too nervous.

Mouse is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. She is not yet neutered and it will be a condition of her adoption that this is carried out by her adopters as soon as she is old enough. Discount voucher available and follow up checks will be done. Mali is a 3-year old Yorkshire Terrier who is an ex-breeding girl. She is very affectionate once she has gained your trust and follows her favourite person everywhere. Mali needs to live with another similar sized/aged dog for company.

People – Mali has attended a few meet and greet fundraising events with her foster mum and has been a bit shy but she gains in confidence daily. She enjoys a good brush to keep her coat in tip top shape and enjoys the fuss!

Dogs – Mali enjoys the company of other dogs but is not happy around big breeds, or boisterous ones. She will only be rehomed where she has a similar sized dog for company.

Cats – Fine with cats

In the home – Housetraining is a work in progress, so her adopters will need to have patience with her and continue the good work started in her foster home. Mali sleeps on the human bed at night and settles down quietly. She is happy to be crated too.  bed and is fine. Mali has been left for up to 4 hours without a problem.

Out and about – Mali is fine in the car, although she does tremble a bit. She has been good at the vets, just a little nervous. As she has been ill and has only just started in course of vaccinations Mali hasn’t yet been walked outside.

Type of home – Mali is looking for a quiet home where there are no young children. She wants her humans to be around for most the day to continue with the training and socialisation started in her foster home.

Hobbi is an 8-year old Yorkshire Terrier fostered in RCT, South Wales. He is a quiet, sweet boy who is terrified of the world. Having spent 8 years on a puppy farm he is understandably bewildered to have now found himself in a home.  He is desperate for love and will come to you for a gentle cuddle once he trusts you but any noise and he’s off hiding. Hobbi has a Grade 2-3 heart murmur

People – Initially Hobbi is frightened of everyone but given time he is learning to trust. Once you are sitting on the sofa he will stand with his front paws on waiting for you to lift him up for a gentle stroke. Any sudden noises and he’s off again though.  Hobbi would need a quiet home with no children running about and no shouting or sudden noises

Dogs –   Hobbi needs at least one quiet dog in his forever home to copy and learn from but he also likes his space and wouldn’t like to be jumped on so no young dogs please 

Cats – Not tested but should be fine to live with a cat or small furry

In the home –  Hobbi is an easy dog to have around. He sleeps quietly in a crate on his own overnight and would be happy to be left for a few hours during the day. He can only eat wet food or pate due to having no teeth and loves some chicken. Initially when he came into foster he would shiver with fright at meal times and he has clearly never eaten from a bowl so a separate feeding area where you can sit with him and reassure him would be ideal.

Out and about –  Hobbi has never walked on the lead and is spooked by the big wide world so this will need to be worked on in his forever home once he has settled and he gains confidence         

Type of home – Hobbi needs a quiet home where he can learn to trust at his own pace. It is essential he isn’t rushed as this will set him back. No noisy children and at least one other dog is a must. He would be a great companion for an older adopter who would like some company but doesn’t want to walk far

Hobbi is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South Wales

Little Maggie is a 4-5 year old ex-breeding Yorkshire Terrier who is being fostered in South Wales. She is finding her feet in her foster home and is adopting to life in the home. Maggie is looking for a quiet home with a calm dog for company.

People – She is fine with people, but takes a few minutes to come around to new people. She will shake when unsure but is fine with being touched and brushed. She hasn’t met any young children but we feel Maggie would be happier in a quiet home.

Dogs –  Maggie would be better with a calm dog as a companion to show her how to be a dog, she doesn’t like bouncy energetic dogs as she gets scared

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Maggie is a very quiet dog, who is happy to sleep in a crate or on the sofa. She has only been left for a few hours and is fine. She prefers to eat in a quiet area away from other dogs. She is getting the hang of housetraining and is currently only having accidents overnight now.

Out and about – Maggie has only recently started going out on lead for short periods of time because she is scared of noise and sudden movements and the big wide world, but slowly exploring a little more each day. She is fine on short journeys hasn’t been on long journey in car yet. She was fine in vets

Type of home – Maggie needs a home that is calm; where she can build her confidence slowly. She is a nervous, scared little girl but is not aggressive at all. She would benefit from a calm dog to teach her how to be a dog and would not be suitable to live with small children at the moment. She is a lovely little dog I’m sure she will grow in confidence daily and become a relaxed happy little girl

Lola is a very special 9-month old Labrador Retriever who is looking for a forever foster home. Please, please read very carefully and only complete an application form if you are 100% committed to providing this for her. Lola suffers from cerebellum hypoplasia and although medically fit she is unstable on her legs and requires physio and daily exercise to help her mobility. Due to this we would prefer her new home to be in South Wales to have easy access to our vets.

People – Lola is a loving dog and friendly with everyone she meets. We recommend older children only though who are able to understand and respect her condition.

Dogs – Lola would prefer a home where there is another dog for company.

Cats – Not tested

In the home – Lola does still have accidents in the house when she is excited but these are getting less and less. Her forever fosterers will have to be patient with her while she gets used to her new routine and new environment though. She will need somewhere with a reasonable amount of space both inside and outside the house to enable her to move around without injuring herself.

Out and about – Lola loves her walks and travels well in the car. She is happy to go to the vets too.

Type of home – Lola is looking for a forever foster home, where FoAW will remain her legal owners and will meet all the costs for ongoing medical needs. Her humans will need to be experienced dog owners and be willing to take advice about aspects of her care from the outset to help the transition to her forever foster home be a smooth one. She will need her humans to be home for most of the day, although she can be left for short periods in the company of other dogs.

Lola is not yet neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales. People – This happy little girl adores people, big or small. She is too bouncy to live with very small children but would love to live in a family environment.

Cats – Kiki hasn’t been cat tested

In the home – Kiki is used to living in a home. She is housetrained, enjoys cuddles with her humans on the sofa and adores a game of tug. She can be left for a couple of hours but any longer than this will have to be built up gradually, so she gets used to it.

Out and about – Kiki would benefit from further training with walking on the lead. She does love her walks and will need regular exercise and games to keep her occupied. She is fine at the vets and travels well in the car.

Coco is a very active 7-year old Chinese Crested cross who is being fostered in South Wales. She is a loveable little dog who likes to keep herself busy. She enjoys her walks and will do anything for a treat. Her favourite trick is pretending to be a meerkat!

People – Coco is not comfortable around small children. Adult or teenagers home only.  Coco takes a little while to warm up to people, however once bonded she is your best friend.

Dogs – Coco is in foster with dogs of all shapes and sizes. Coco needs to be homed with a dog of similar size.

Cats – Not tested

In the home – Coco is housetrained and loves snuggles in your bed! She will happily hide under the duvet cover. Equally she settles downstairs and understands “go to bed” command. Coco is raw fed and enjoys her food. Coco can be left for several hours and happily sits in the window waiting for your return.

Out and about – Coco loves her walks and is a little explorer. An active home where she can have long walks is a must. Coco travels well in the car.

Type of home – Coco would love an adult only home with a resident dog. She needs time to settle but once comfortable is a funny, cheeky little character. She is very active so would suit a home that’s out and about and keeping her busy, she is not a typical lap dog

CLEO is 18 months old and after having her final litter of kittens this yummy mummy is now looking for a home of her own where she can be a proper princess. She is super chilled and if we didn’t know how loving she was we would call her the ice princess. CLEO is the perfect lap cat and loves a fuss rolling over and purrrrring . She can live with other cats and is not bothered by dogs.

Bella is a delightful 2-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is being fostered in South Wales. She is very loving and loves a tummy tickle.

People – Bella loves being touched tickled and loved as much as possible and is happy around children, but can be unsure of young children that run around. If approached by them she will run to safety so she will not be rehomed with young children.  

Dogs – Bella is unsure of other dogs. We feel she would be happy living with an older laid back dog or live as an only dog.

Cats – No cats, thank you             

In the home –  Bella is 100% house trained in her foster home and is not destructive in any way. She doesn’t know how to play with toys and is not interested. She’s a big foodie and loves to eat – she will think nothing of stealing food off her humans from their hands if she’s given the chance. Bella sleeps on the bed with her foster mum and loves to cuddle up to her humans. She will sleep all night unless she hears a noise and then she will make sure everyone is aware she heard it by barking. Bella has had the odd growl if she is eating and she feels threatened that it will be taken but she has not snapped. She is fine being left for a few hours and will sleep until your return then she will then make lots of excited noises of happiness.  Bella is not crate trained.

Out and about – Bella walks well on a lead and enjoys being out and about exploring. She has been fine at all her vet visits.  At the start of a journey in a car she will become worried and will not want to lay still, she will try to sit on your lap and will seem stressed but once reassured she will then settle and go to sleep.

Type of home – Bella needs a home where her humans treat her as part of the family. She loves to sleep on the human bed at night and enjoys cuddles.  Bella is happiest when she’s getting lots of loving attention and will move around the family to see who’s giving the her most attention. Bella spends a lot of time with her foster mum’s 11-year old son on his bed cuddled up next to him and does seem to be drawn to children that will sit and give her attention. Bella could live with an easy going laid back, relaxed maybe older dog that will allow her to have her space as she really struggles with dogs invading her space.

I know your not supposed to have favourites but our team has fallen head over heels for our little HEIDI. She came to us after being used as a breeding machine and was terrified of everyone and everything. It took this special lady time to adjust and to trust the people around her. Well a few months later and the patience has really paid off. She actively seeks out company now and loves being fussed. Don’t get me wrong she’s not going to walk into your house and you be best mates immediately she’s going to take a week or so to settle but it is just so worth it to see her this happy. Heidi is only a baby at 3 years old and she’s had a terrible life so far but she’s now looking to the future and is looking forward to meeting her new family. She can live with other cats but prefers female cats as she is a little wary of boy cats. This is what her foster mum had to say about our Heidi after she moved to her from her original foster home “She only hid two days and then was my little shadow! She has a big personality and is very chatty and cwtchy without being needy. She’s a funny little thing we just love her but cant keep her”

Jess is a 5-year old ex-breeding Shih Tzu girl who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. She is looking for a patient home where she has another similar-sized dog for company.

People – Jess is shy with people to start with but once you have gained her trust, she loves cuddles and fuss from adults. Due to her shy nature we will not rehome Jess with small children.

Dogs –   As an ex-breeding girl Jess would have spent most of her life around other dogs. She is sociable and happy to meet new doggy friends and loves the dogs in her foster home.

Cats – Jess has not been cat tested

In the home –  Living in a home is all new to her so housetraining is a work in progress. Household noises like the television, music, washing machine and doors slamming will take her a little while to get used to but with love and kindness her confidence will grow. She is happy to be left for a couple of hours in the company of another dog.

Out and about –  Jess has ventured out on the lead and as it is new to her this will need work. Her adopters must be understanding of this and be prepared to work with her as they would a puppy. Jess is fine in the car and vets.

Type of home – Jess is looking for a quiet home with at least one other similar-sized dog for company. Her adults should be around for most of the day and able to work on her housetraining and general socialisation. She will require gentle and patient handling. Any children in the home should be over 10 years old due to her nervous nature.

Three-year old Maisie is an ex-breeding Shih Tzu who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. She is a very nervous girl and doesn’t trust easily. She must live with another dog for company.

People – Maisie would have spent her life away from people so is understandably very nervous of them. She will learn to trust but needs patient adopters willing to work on this and let her be friends in her own time. Due to this we will not rehome her with children.

Dogs –   Maisie gets on very well with other dogs both in and away from her foster home. She will only be rehomed where she has another dog for company.

Cats – Maisie hasn’t been cat tested.

In the home – Living in a home is all new to her so it’s baby steps… Housetraining is a work in progress and she will need time to get used to the usual household noises of washing machines, televisions, radios etc. She can be left in the company of other dogs for a couple of hours.

Out and about –  Maisie is still very wary of walking on a lead but is happy to wear her harness so she will need further training in this area. Time and patience is a must for this girl and plenty of love. She will get there!

Type of home – Maisie is looking for a patient and quiet home where her humans are around for most the day. Someone who is willing to work with her on everything from housetraining to lead walking. She will need to be treated like a puppy initially with regular trips to the garden to help with this, and gradual introductions to walking on the lead. She loves treats so with so many positive rewards, she’ll get there in no time. No children please. Maisie must live with another dog.

This loving pair of Cavaliers are 8 years old and are being fostered in the West Midlands. Lexi and Amber are adorable cuddly girls who are very well behaved in the home and easy dogs to have around. Both have the all clear from the vets but Lexi does have a film over both of her eyes due to her past treatment.

People – These girls love everyone they meet and enjoy the fuss and attention they get from people out on walks. They are happy to have fuss by children of all ages but we recommend that they aren’t rehomed with small children.

Dogs –   They get on with other dogs and must be rehomed together.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Lexi and Amber are fully housetrained and currently sleep downstairs on the sofa overnight with no problems at all. They are easy houseguests and love cuddles in front of the TV during the evening. They are happy to be left for 3-4 hours as long as they are together.

Out and about –  The girls love their walks. They both travel well in the car in a crate and are happy to go to the vets as long as they get some fuss and attention!              

Type of home – Lexi and Amber are looking for a home where their humans aren’t out at work all day. They can be left for 3-4 hours but would not be suitable for full time workers. They are easy-going dogs and love cuddles and attention. They haven’t been tested around cats but can live with older children – no under fives please.

MIA ***ADOPTED***

Mia is around 6 years old and is all sass and catitude. She has gorgeous long flowing locks that didn’t appear to have been brushed for quite a while. She came to us in a bit of a state and had to be shaved in places to get rid of knots. Her foster mum is now working on getting her to trust and relax having a brush and this is going to be a long term commitment for any new potential owner. Mia’s forever family will need lots of time and patience with this young lady as she has obviously had a bit of a tuff time . Mia can be quite nervous on occasions so a quiet house with older children would suit her better. Mia would be okay with quiet cats nothing too boisterous as she gets easily stressed. She can be very affectionate at times and is trying really hard to trust her foster parents but it is clear that she has had some kind of trauma and will need time and patience.

Clove is the most chilled young lady we have ever seen she’s around 1.5 years old and has been used as a little breading machine before coming to us. Now having had her last litter she is more that ready to become a baby again. She’s super playful and will sit for hours to be stroked and touched. She’s not a massive fan of being cuddled but loves to be close and purrs for all the attention. She’s good with other cats and will tolerate dogs although she’s a little unsure but is currently in foster 4 and is improving daily. She has supermodel looks and is full of cattitude. Clove would be the perfect addition to any family and will settle quickly in the right home.

Ronnie and Reggie are a lovely duo who are both aged around 2-years old. They were surrendered to us due to a change in their owner’s circumstances and are now looking for their forever home together. Ronnie did come to us with an ear infection but this has cleared up now, although his ears will need to be checked regularly.      

People – Reggie is a little shy at first but very loving once he knows you. He really loves all dogs and is very sociable engaging and playful. Reggie is a little nervous of children but after a little time he’s ok.

Dogs –   Ronnie and Reggie are very sociable around other dogs

In the home – Although, they are very nearly there, housetraining will be a work in progress for whoever adopts these two. Reggie is the more timid of the two but does adjust quickly. Ronnie is a fun and sociable character but can initially be cautious. They are happy to be left for 3 to 4 hours but would not be suitable for full time workers.     

Out and about – Ronnie travels well but is a little vocal at first. They are fearful at the vets and will need confidence building. They enjoy walks but, again, this is something that they will need to get used to.             

Type of home – Ronnie and Reggie will be rehomed together if possible as they rely on each other and are a bonded pair. They haven’t been cat tested and due to their quiet nature will only be rehomed with older children/teenagers. Their adopters must be willing to work with them on housetraining and confidence building and get them used to being regularly groomed. They can be left for 3-4 hours but no longer. They would not be suitable for full time workers.

Quacky is a 9-year old Cavalier who is being fostered in Staffordshire. He is a funny old fellow. He is currently attending bootcamp to control his weight and he is doing well. He is ticklish all over and snores like a little pig but has a heart of gold. As well as being overweight he has a slight heart murmur

People – Quacky is happy around humans of all shapes and sizes. He loves to be touched and tickles and will soon remind you if you stop. Being an older chap, he is not fond of too much going on.                             

Dogs –   Quacky is great with other dogs but will  join in barking.

Cats – Not tested

In the home –  Quacky is housetrained and sleeps on the floor next to our bed. He prefers the floor to a dog bed. He is a greedy eater and will raid others food bowls so this needs to be monitored or he will gain weight again. He is not aggressive at all. Quacky is a barker and is trigged by others barking, people passing in the street etc. He does not like to be left and will bark continuously until you return.

Out and about – Quacky is well behaved on walks. Short walks are preferred at this stage until his weight is under control

Type of home – Quacky needs a home where he has constant human company with lots of attention. He sends a lot of time sleeping and will steal food if it is within his reach. Care around really young children and lots of people in and out may trigger his barking. Quacky would like another dog for company.

Elvis is an 8-month old terrier who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. He is a typical young terrier who is a bundle of energy. He loves a game of fetch but does need plenty of training and boundaries.

People – Elvis is great with men, he can be mouthy towards women especially when he is excited to see you. Elvis is very playful and can jump up so new owners will need to manage this with further training.  Elvis is happy to be brushed. He will not be rehomed with young children.

Dogs –   Elvis is full of himself and everything is a game. Any dog friend would have to be equally as boisterous to be able to stand up to him.

In the home –  Elvis is housetrained, he sleeps all night in his bed and is happy to be left for a few hours. Elvis is not destructive. Elvis happily gives up his toys when asked to do so.

Kizzy is a 6-year old Cavalier King Charles who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. Kizzy is a laid back, loving and very placid girl. She loves nothing more than laying on the sofa or bed with you and sleeping the day away. She is a big foodie and will eat just about anything. She’s gentle and will sit staring at you to get your attention for a hug.

People – She loves humans very much the more love and hugs you give her the better.  She is not fazed by children at all and will lay on and enjoy being loved and stroked by them but due to her age small children may be to much as she does just like the quiet life

Dogs –   Kizzy is fine with all sorts of dogs and  has fitted in, in my house with my dogs of similar age and breed very well, She does not play so a playful boisterous dog would not suit her

Cats – Cat tested and rabbit tested and shows no interest at all.

In the home – Kizzy is fully house trained with no accidents at all in her foster home. Adopters will have to be understanding if her housetraining does slip initially in her new home. She sleeps on her foster mum’s bed likes to be by your head close to you. She’s fine being left for a few hours and is not destructive in anyway.

Out and about –  Kizzy likes short walks and walks very well on the lead     

Type of home – Kizzy needs a home that’s going to allow her on the sofas and beds and be close to her human as she craves this. She must be rehomed with a dog similar age and personality to her that will be there as company but not expect her play run around or to be their best friend as her human is more important to her. Gentle older children that will allow her on the bed for a hug and love her is a must as think small loud children may be too much she can jump now and again if scared.

Ava is a 14-week old collie cross Yorkshire Terrier who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. She came from a home as her and her sibling didn’t get on. Ava is an active, typical pupster who needs an active home with further training and guidance.

People – Ava loves everyone, she is a typical pup who can’t get enough attention from anyone who’s willing to give it. She does have puppy teeth so sensible older children advised.

Dogs –   Ava loves other dogs and is currently in foster in a multi-dog home.

Cats – No cats, will chase

In the home – Ava is house trained in her foster home. Her adopter will need to be understanding if this slips when she moves to her new home as she is still only a puppy.  She currently sleeps in a crate quietly overnight with another dog for company. Ava is a good eater and enjoys playing with toys that are suitable for her age. As with all puppies Ava needs to be watched to make sure she doesn’t get herself into mischief and all wires and hazards need to be kept out of reach.                                

Out and about – Ava will need further help getting her used to new sights and sounds while on walks. She walks on the lead but stops when traffic passes. Ava is just learning about walking so only a few short walks are needed while she grows. Once an adult she will be very active and needs lots of physical and mental stimulation. She doesn’t travel well in the car and will bark for about 15 minutes before settling but this should improve with practice.

Type of home – Ava needs a home where her owners are around a lot of the time to help her settle. She could happily live with other dogs but is young enough to be an only dog in the right home if her owners are prepared for some sleepless nights while she settles. She would be fine with sensible children. As a young puppy Ava needs ongoing training in all areas.
