Name: Lily

Age: 2 years old

Breed: Saluki cross

Can I live with Children: Yes

Can I live with cats: No

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Fostered In: RCT, South Wales

Lily is a 2-year old Saluki cross who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is an adorable girl who has been a dream to foster. Having come to us with a badly broken leg and lots of cuts and bruises she has been the perfect patient which has been rewarded with the vets being able to save her leg. She has a sweet nature who loves everyone and would make the perfect companion for the right home. No ongoing health issues but care needs to be taken with the leg not to overdo it. She is currently walking 40 minutes but no off lead running as yet.

People – Lily loves everyone she meets and is happy to be fussed. She has a quiet nature and will happily pass the hours asleep on the sofa or cuddling next to you. She is quite a tall girl so no small toddlers for her to knock over but sensible children would be fine

Dogs –  Lily is great with other dogs and will play happily with them. She’s met loads of dogs of various breeds and sizes while at walking and loves everyone but she would be equally as happy as an only dog if owners were around most of the day.

Cats – Not cat tested but will chase small furries especially squirrels

In the home – Lily is fully house trained and sleeps quietly in a dog bed in the kitchen overnight. She is an escape artist so a super secure garden with walls over 6 ft is a must. She can be left for short periods but may cry initially, she also jumps on work tops and tables when left so anything dangerous needs to be put away in cupboards. She loves her food and is not food or toy aggressive

Out and about – Lily walks well in a lead but prefers quieter walks away from traffic as she is understandably wary having been hit by a car. Recall is non-existent and she will need to be kept on a lead or long line at all times. She travels well in a crate in the car and is a regular at the vets.

Type of home – Security is a must in Lily’s forever home to make sure she can’t escape. Wall height of above 6 ft and exterior doors locked as she can open them. She is a super friendly and affectionate girl so would fit into any home with ease. She enjoys quiet outdoor time but also enjoys spending most of her day asleep on the sofa.

Lily is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
