Leia is a 6-month old Pug cross Border terrier who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is an energetic puppy and loves to play with the other dogs in the house.
People – Leia can be nervous when meeting new people but soon learns to trust. She hasn’t been tested with small children but we would only recommend that she is rehomed with older children as she does play bite hands.
Dogs – Leia loves other dogs and will need another doggy playmate to live with
Cats – Hasn’t been tested with cats
In the home – Leia is fully house trained in her foster home. She currently sleeps in a crate with the doors open. She loves toys needs plenty of chew toys as she is teething at moment. Leia hasn’t been destructive but is only a puppy so will need supervision to ensure she doesn’t chew anything she shouldn’t. She eats well and can be left for a few hours.
Out and about – Leia has only just started going out on walks due to her vaccinations being complete so will need further guidance in this area. She is ok on short journeys in car. When she went to the vets she was nervous and did have a little poo in the waiting room, while there.
Type of home – Leia is looking for an active family who are around for a lot of the day and would be willing to work on further training and socialisation. She has a lot of energy and needs someone who will give her the attention she deserves. Leia hasn’t been cat tested but may be ok around a dog savvy cat with further guidance as she’s young enough to learn. Another canine companion is a must.
Leia is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. She is too young to be neutered but this will be a condition of adoption and her adopters’ responsibility. A discount voucher is available and follow up checks will be done. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
