CAN BE AN ONLY DOG IF SOMONE IS HOME MOST OF THE TIME OR COULD LIVE WITH A SIMILAR SIZE RESIDENT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN 5 AND OVER

NOT CAT TESTED

SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO HAVE CLOSE CONTACT WITH THEIR DOG

Dolly is a 3 year old Yorkshire Terrier who was a nervous little girl when she first came into foster but her confidence has grown enormously. She is as quiet as a mouse around the house and will follow you silently wherever you go. Her favourite place is as close to your heart as possible. She will drape herself around your neck like a beautiful silk scarf just to be close to you. She is a beautiful young lady who would make the best companion ever. She likes other dogs but does not rely on them for confidence. When left for short periods and monitored on pet cam, she will seek the company of her foster brothers then for comfort.

Health history will be discussed with potential adopters

Dolly loves people, big, small and anything in-between. She likes to meet new people but will return quickly to “her special one” to seek comfort and confidence. Her little tail can be seen and heard wagging vigorously when meeting new people in hope that they will be kind to her. She doesn’t tend to play at the moment, just likes to be fussed.

Dolly has met children between 5 and 12 years old and likes to be greeted with a gentle touch but doesn’t like to play or be played with. She would be best suited to a home with children over 5 years who can understand that while she is very small and cute, she is not a toy to be played with or a home where children only visit.

Has not been cat or small furry tested.

She is unable to walk up or down the stairs at present and needs to learn how to in her own time. She will need to be carried up and down, however at 3.7 kgs this is quite easy. Toilet training is a work in progress but Dolly is very quick to learn. This will need to continue in her new home. Dolly sleeps in bed with her fosterer and will take up a spot on the pillow on top of or next to your head. She needs to be close to her person to feel safe and loved.

Dolly will now eat alongside her foster brothers and enjoys her food and the occasional soft treat.

Dolly has not been out and about yet due to her vaccination status and will need her forever family to be patient in teaching her how to walk on a lead

Dolly would like a home where she can feel safe and loved. Her special people would need to be home for most of the day so working “9 to 5” would not work for this Dolly!. She would need to have a “special one” and would be loyal and loving in return. Any children in the home would need to be over 5 years and allow her space and privacy and not expect her to be a play mate.
Dolly needs a patient and loving person who is happy to have her cuddles all day every day. She needs a lot of physical contact and reassurance. She needs understanding and a willingness to help her learn basic training, in return for this she will provide endless love and affection.

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

GOOD WITH CATS

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PAWRENTS WHO WILL BE PATIENT WITH OUR LITTL EPRINCESS IN TRAINING

Annie is a 4 year old cavalier described by her foster mum as a gentle, loving girl who has settled well in her foster home. She eats well (soft food due to dental issues) sleeps all night in her bed in foster parent’s room, and is almost completely housetrained. She loves exploring the garden and different rooms inside, and is definitely foster mum’s shadow. She prefers to be approached side on from the right, although she is becoming far less nervous of being picked up and prefers to be held tummy to tummy when being carried.

Annie doesn’t like wearing a lead yet and stays completely still. This is being worked on and she is being given the time to think it all through at her sped. She is happy to wear a collar and harness and travels well in the car. She has begun to show an interest in playing with toys and will carry a blanket from one dog bed to another. She loves to cuddle up next to both humans and dogs on the sofa, and would happily be stroked all day long. Although Annie has the closest bond with foster mum, she is able to get reassurance from other family members in foster mum’s absence.

Vet history will be discussed with potential adopters.

Annie is happy to be amongst people who are calm and speak to her softly and gently. She likes to approach and settle next to a person in her own time, often choosing to jump up and lie next to them. Annie has shown no aggressive behaviour at all, her tail will wag when she sees members of her foster family, running up to greet them with resident dogs, happily giving licks.
She was initially nervous meeting extended family away from her foster home, but quickly settled, falling asleep whilst being stroked by a new person.

Annie hasn’t met any children while with us. However, the excitable behaviour of young children could make her anxious, but she would be fine with calmer, older children.

Annie is calm and relaxed around our cat. Will happily sleep next to him and has let him lick her nose a few times.

Falls asleep on car journeys, likes going out in the dog buggy and has settled quickly when visiting a new house.

Annie needs a resident dog to show her the ropes. Someone home most of the time and a family with older children or an older person/couple, to spend time cuddling her and continuing her training and socialisation. A secure garden is a must, as she loves running around and sunbathing.

NEEDS ANOTHER RESIDENT DOG FOR CONFIDENCE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED

PATIENT LOVING PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUST TO THE BIG WORLD

Tilly is a 5 year old schnauzer who despite initially being very nervous is gaining in confidence around the house every day. She’s happy to jump on the sofa and stand on the windowsill to watch the world go by. Once she trusts you she will nudge you for a gentle head rub.

Tilly is still quite nervous of people and likes to approach in her own time. She is happy to come for a fuss if it is initiated by her. She likes her food and will take treats if they are dropped just in front of her.

Tilly will jump at sudden movements or loud noises so would prefer a home without small children. Quiet teenagers would be fine.

Not cat tested

Tilly is a quiet girl who is just starting to trust her foster family. She has started coming for a fuss and approaching foster mum when called. She loves her food and is partial to a tasty treat. Her toilet training is nearly there and she is crate trained but is not destructive at all so doesn’t need to be crated.

Tilly is nervous and hasn’t ventured far outside. She doesn’t walk on a lead yet and this is something her new family will need to work on when she’s ready. She travels well in the car but does freeze when you carry her to or from the car.

Tilly would like a quiet home where she can explore at her own pace. She will need at least one calm resident dog and any children would need to be older.

Cassia D2021-165

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

NO CATS

NO CHILDREN

PATIENT LOVING OWNERES WHO WONT EXPECT TOO MUCH TO START

Cassia is a 15 month old Cavalier cross that has become available again through no fault of her own. She is the most adorable sweet little pupster who came to rescue via a breeder. She is a nervous girl but you can already see beneath the reluctance to engage is a playful sweet natured dog just desperate to come out of her shell and be the dog she should always have been with the right socialisation. She loves running in the garden and bounces around like a little lamb with her floppy ears flying in the wind.

Cassia shakes when handled by strangers and is nervous around people but is making progress. This may go backwards in her forever home and her new pawrents will need to support her through this. She is very hand shy and will back away if you approach her from standing however if you are more at her level she will come to you for ear tickles and chin scratches. She has been in her new foster home for two weeks and is already gaining in confidence. She will now jump up on the sofa and snuggle up to foster mum and her favourite human foster dad. She has also started to play bow at her foster Mum and will run around excitedly wanting to play but not quite confident enough to see it through.

Cassia has met her foster’s young grandchildren and although they are dog savvy it is clear that small people scare her. Their sharp movements and shrill voices seem to unnerve her a little. She prefers to retreat to her crate when they are in the room. For this reason, it is best she is not rehomed with young children.

Cassia has shown that once settled in a home she will chase resident cats so a home without them is essential.

Cassia is more or less housetrained but does have the odd accident in the home especially if it is raining outside. As she is getting more and more confident, she is starting to explore her foster home she is still puppy like and will occasionally chew if she is bored. She responds well to commands and is treat driven. She sleeps in a crate next to foster Mums bed and runs up the stairs when she knows it is bedtime settles straight away and sleeps through the night.

She loves the garden and will bark and chase the squirrels when they run across the fence. We have tried her with a lead and harness but she was very wary and only managed a few steps through the door. This will be a work in progress and hopefully with other confident dogs to guide her on walks she will eventually enjoy the great outdoors.

Cassia would like a home with at least one calm but friendly/playful resident dog who can help her to adjust in her forever home. Calm and patient owners who won’t expect too much of her too soon and can continue taking small steps to help her gain her confidence. She is a wonderful dog with so much to give she just needs time patience and unconditional love.

Casper D2021-182

My names Bond, James Bond. No, it’s not but I’ve always wanted to say that. My name is Casper and I’m a 14 week old King Charles Cavalier cross Cocker.

Are you reading carefully then let’s begin. I was chosen from an elite group of dogs to be put with foster mum so I could learn to be the best of the best. What I’ve learnt is foster mum is an 80’s epic film fanatic Ha Ha Ha, don’t tell her I told u that. Since being in foster I’ve watched Goonies, Indiana Jones, Ghostbusters and Top Gun. Can you guess what my favourite was, let’s see if u can guess.

As I said I’m training to be the best of best doggos so this means I’ve been brushing up on my skills. My toilet training skills, my listening skills and my team skills. Now I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m no Maverick. You see I didn’t have the best start in life so I’m missing that extra confidence that Maverick has. I do however think I’m like Goose. I’m loyal, faithful and loving and all I need now is a Maverick to complete our little dream team.

I need to be part of a team to fulfil my true potential which means a family that is supportive of me and my needs. With children who are also the best of the best and will understand when I’m a little timid or nervous and will give me time to work things out.

I’ve been practicing my manoeuvring skills in the garden on something called a lead and feel I’m almost ready to go out into the big wide world with my wing men. Oh, hang on I need to wait for something called my second jab first. It protects me against alien invasion apparently. I’m not sure what that is but I don’t want any nasty bugs hindering my quest to be the best.

I need my wing men to be patient, loving and understanding. A team that will help me integrate into the big wide world. I don’t think that I will get to fly any planes but I want to fly as the best doggo I can be.

Now for the technical bit stay with me. I wonder how many have read this far or have just applied on my cute pics.

I need another dog in the home to be my wing man and give me confidence. I have had my microchip and have had my first vaccination. I will be adopted on a neutering and training agreement. I could live with a cat if introductions are done carefully. I don’t know what one is and I don’t want them to eat me. I can live with sensible little people. Above all I need a family who will love me unconditionally and help me become the best of the best.

Hope to meet you soon my best of the best families love Casper.

Halloween D2021-194

*****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

NEEDS AT LEAST ONE RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME

GOOD WITH CATS

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NEEDS PATIENT, LOVING FAMILY AS SHE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS

Halloween is a 6 year old Bichon Frise described by her foster mum as a happy delightful little girl whose quirky character is beginning to show as she gains her confidence. She is very much a work in progress and any potential adopters need to give her time and lots of love.

She has only been left with the other dogs for a few hours and been really happy to see her foster family return. Halloween or Hally as we call her is quite happy around the house and will sleep cuddled up to the other dogs for company.

She sleeps in the bedroom sometimes in a bed on the floor but will end up on the bed with the other dogs where she will sleep all night. If you don’t want her sleeping on your bed or sofa then she isn’t the dog for you as she will love her humans and want to be as close as possible to them.

Being handled and groomed is a work in progress.

Halloween has started to lay with her stomach exposed when sleeping on the pillows on the sofa which shows that she is beginning to trust.

Going for walks is also still a work in progress. She gets excited to have her harness on and jumps around with the other dogs but once she’s out in the big wide world she needs the others for confidence. Halloween is still very wary of people but is desperate to trust. If she sees people out on her walks she will freeze and try and run the other way.

Her medical history will be discussed with potential adopters

Halloween hasn’t met any children yet, but has been very wary of the children in the park. So, we would recommend older dog savvy children.

Halloween is in foster with a cat and is totally uninterested.

Halloween is still getting used to the noises around the house and any loud noises outside. Toilet training is a also a work in progress and she will go in the garden if taken often but she needs company as she doesn’t like being out there alone.

Travels well in the car using a seat belt restraint and will lay down quietly or sleep.

Halloween’s new home will need to be a quiet home where she will be allowed to take her time to gain her confidence and find her way. She will need at least another small dog that likes to cuddle up for company and if she had her choice, it would be another bichon.  She could be in a home with older dog savvy children who will allow her time to relax and grow.  She will need to time to adjust before being taken out or taken to be groomed and the groomer will need to be told that she’s a nervous little girl. Experience or knowledge of having a nervous rescue dog would be great, but not essential. She just needs time and love

Bramley D2021-223

My names Bramley and I’m a 13 week old west highland terrier. When I grow up I want to be snowy. Do u know who snowy is? Snowy was Tin Tins dog and they had many an adventure together where snowy was the best of companions and always saved the day. Okay that may not be totally true but foster mum has told me about Snowy and that’s what I want to be.

In preparation for my adventures, I have been jumping and chasing leaves in the garden. This will build my strength and stamina and when I’m feeling really brave, I try to chase foster mums’ cat but the nawty cat just jumps up out of my way. I don’t want to hurt the cat I just want to sniff her and play chase so I can build my speed up.

When foster mum thinks I need a bit of growing time she puts me in my cage. She normally puts lots of yummies in my cage with me and I’m happy to sit there and chill for a while.

After surveying my territory, I have decided that the best room in the house is the kitchen. Why is this room my favourite I hear you ask? Well, it’s my favourite room as this is where the cat food is kept. Foster mum keeps the food up high but I’m working on a plan to get to it and one day when she’s not looking, I’ll get there. This room is also where some goodies drop from the heavens and lands on the floor. I’m not sure where this comes from, I think it’s a gift from the gods of the doggos and they are bestowing gifts especially for me.

When I have had my gift from the gods, I like to swagger off out to the garden and survey my territory. I also like to see if that cat is out and has decided that she wants to play.

I have to tell you that apart from my training to be the next Snowy my other training such as lead walking, good doggo manners and toilet training is all a work in progress.

I’ve met some small people and as long as they give me room to decide if I want to play with them then I’m okay with them. I just don’t like it if they overcrowd me whilst I’m deciding and I will go to foster mum for a cuddle.

Sometimes I take time getting used to the big people too and if I’m feeling overwhelmed then ill cuddle with foster mum till it passes and then I’m good to go. I know Snowy was never nervous of other people but I’m still little and am learning.

I would like a home with or without another doggo to play with. Small people who will be nice to me and play with me. Big people who will help me on my quest to be a Snowy stand in. I want adventure in the great wide open, I want it more that I can tell. And for once it might be grand to have someone understand that there’s way much more to me when I am brave and grown.

Rolo D2021-213

ONLY DOG

ADULT ONLY HOME

NO CATS OR SMALL FURRIES

A NICE QUIET RETIREMENT HOME

Our distinguished gentleman Rolo is seeking a quiet retirement family where he can enjoy his twilight years. Rolo is a 10-year-old medium size cross breed who found himself in rescue after his previous owner passed away. He has clearly been adored and is very well behaved.

Medical history to be discussed with potential adopters

Rolo walks well on a lead and is enjoying two short walks a day. He loves a little potter out to the park to sniff and enjoy the scenery. His time of chasing squirrels has passed but he still likes sit with his owner and admire the ladyee dogs.

Rolo is fully house trained and sleeps all-night either with his human, on the sofa or on a dog bed.  Rolo eats very well often a little too well and could do with loosing a little weight.

He will need regular grooming to keep his coat in tip top condition.

Rolo would prefer an adult only home as his days of playing football have passed now and he just enjoys the quieter things in life.

Rolo does not like cats and we wouldn’t recommend any other small furries. He would also prefer to be the only dog in the home as he likes his human to be there just for him.

Herman D2021-195

Hi my name is Herman and I’m a 12 week old Cav X Bichon X Poodle (who cares I’m far too cute to be labelled and people are getting far too hung up on labels these days). My foster dad says that I’m a prince of thieves as I steal hearts wherever I go.

I hate to toot my own horn but I’m super intelligent and a very quick learner. I’ve almost mastered this no peeing and pooping in the house thing. I forget occasionally as I’m having soooo much fun annoying my foster fur family and it kind of creeps up on me. Foster dad has been teaching me my basic commands and I’m doing great but he has said my forever family will take me to puppy classes so I can show off and amaze everyone with my superior intelligence.

I’ve already had both vaccinations and foster dad took me to meet lots of friends the other day and I was off lead playing with 25 other doggos of all shapes and sizes. It was PAWSOME and I was such a good boy. I met everyone courteously and wasn’t barky like some small doggos. Foster dad was so proud of me I had extra cuddles when I came home then had to have a power nap to recharge my batteries.

I’ve been sleeping downstairs with my foster fur brothers and sisters and have been quiet and clean all night. I eat all my food like a good little boy and am enjoying lots of different treats.

I like playing with toys and cuddling with my human. I’ve not met many small people yet but foster dad says I would be okay to live with a family who have dog savvy small people who won’t over handle me.

Foster dad has asked me what I want to be in the future and what type of family I would like to live with. I said to him how am I supposed to know foster dad I’m only 12 weeks old. So, we had a chat about possible jobs I could do in the future such as police dog, sniffer dog or even finding people trapped from earthquakes. I thought they were all a bit too serious so we narrowed it down that I would like a forever family who will take me to do lots of things such as agility, paddleboarding, mountain climbing and beachcombing. Foster dad said he would do his best to find me the best forever home as I deserve it. Whatever my home I said I would do my best to be a good boy but I must have a fur brother or sister to play with and cuddle up to.

Now I know there is only one of me and there will be lots of you hoping to have me as their forever fur baby so please think carefully about what I need and write the best application you can saying how you will be my best forever human. Anyone who writes I want a dog to keep me and my other dog company need not apply as you are not telling me what you can offer me. I don’t want to be a company dog I want to be a fabulous can-do everything dog.

Look forward to meeting you

Love Herman

WILL BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINIG AGREEMENT.

ALL HAVE RECEIVED FIRST VACCINATIONS AND ARE MICROCHIPPED

NOT EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A PUPPY SO NOW IS THE TIME TO TELL US WHAT YOU CAN GIVE THESE FUR BABIES THAT OTHERS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO OFFER

PLEASE BE PATIENT WE KNOW WE ARE GOING TO BE INUNDATED WITH APPLICATIONS

We have three 1 week old Cavalier Cross puppies that are looking for their forever homes. The puppies all have little individual personalities that range from the very brave to sweet and nervous. All love to play, some more than others and they definitely love to cuddle.

House training, manners and basic commands are all a work in progress but in the right homes these babies will flourish. They have not had a lot of human interaction or socialisation so everything will be new to them and each will need patient and loving pawrents who can offer positive encouragement to be well rounded little puppies and rescue ambassadors.

Some may need a resident dog for guidance or an owner who is home most of the time who can give them the confidence to be strong independent little fur babies. Some will be absolutely fine on their own but will still need lots of mental and physical stimulation.

Some will be cat tested some will not. All can be homed with dog savvy children.

We are going to be inundated with applications so you are going to have to bear with us. Please give as much information on the application form as possible to help us make the right decision for these babies. Layla D2021-185

As I lay here snuggled in bed in foster mum’s arms, she looks at me and says sleep tight princess I look at her and say foster mum before I fall asleep tell me my favourite story of how I was rescued. Okay Layla are you comfy then let’s begin.

Once upon a time, before you knew your name, you were a very good girl but nobody was around to tell you. You lived in a noisy place where no one had time to make sure you ate all your food, was clean, warm and comfy or picked you up for a cuddle. Then one day that changed. You heard you were to be part of something called freedom day and you had been chosen to go in the rescue wagon.

The day you were rescued and arrived here with me your little heart was broken, you were shaking, filthy dirty and scared. You wouldn’t look at me and just wanted to hide. That day my heart broke for what you had been through but slowly very, very slowly your little eyes found their light again.

When you first arrived you didn’t know what a food bowl was and I had to put your food on the floor and walk away. I wasn’t allowed to watch you eat but the sound of you crunching those biscuits filled my heart with joy. Now look at you doing your special little breakfast dance for me. You are like a little Ginger Rogers with your special tippy tappy feet.

You were happy to find other dogs in our foster home but you couldn’t understand why they wanted to be close to me when humans were bad, weren’t they?. Humans never cared for you before and you found it hard to understand that I loved you unconditionally. You soon started following the other dogs out to the garden and watched them going to toilet and me giving them a big fuss for being good. Then one day you went to toilet too in the garden and let me give you a gentle fuss. Your face when you felt that my hand was so full of love and not hate was priceless. It was almost as if I could hear those little pieces of your broken heart mending, from then on, every day has been a little better.

You were worried when new people came to the house as you didn’t know why they were there. The other dogs were excited to see them and would run around barking and wagging their bums whilst you sat and watched. You sat and watched for a long time and one day you came to say hello to a visitor and felt a stranger’s gentle hand on you and decide it was nice and another bit of your broken heart was fixed.

Now my little princess you still have a long way to go and many new things to see but I have done all that I can for you and your heart is almost whole again. Now we need to find you a forever family who will be patient and kind and fill that last piece of your broken heart, now don’t you worry Layla we will make sure that they know how special you are and how you have turned from a little caterpillar into a great big beautiful butterfly and it is your time to shine. It’s your time now Layla your time to shine and fly.

Sleep tight my princess and dream of that loving forever family and try not to snore too much.

Foster mum here whilst Layla has dropped off to sleep let me tell you some important information.

Layla needs a home with at least one other dog. She is very nervous of children so would need a home with older dog savvy children or no children. Children who are loud or move quickly will scare her. She has not met any cats so we don’t know how she will behave. Layla will need patient parents who want to be that final piece to mend her broken heart which will take time and patience. This little girl means the world to me and she has come a long way but she still has a journey ahead of her and this will take time.

Lilith      D2021-203

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME

NO CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT OWNERS WHO CAN HELP HER ADJUST TO THE BIG WIDE WORLD

Lilith is a 4 year old chihuahua described by her foster mum as a gentle cuddly girl who adores a lap. It seems like she has a slight idea of living in a house, she knows how to go up and down stairs, has excellent toilet manners and can even sit nicely for you.

Lilith can be a bit of a drama queen when she’s feeling insecure or unsure of what is happening. She is learning to have a harness put on and off but she will do a little squeal until it’s on and then she realises she’s absolutely fine. She will need your time and patience to help her gain confidence and enjoy new experiences.

Lilith is a little bit overweight but this can be easily managed by monitoring her food intake and weighing out meals. She is neutered which may make it easier for her to put on weight as her metabolism slows, so monitoring of food intake will be needed for the foreseeable future to help her stay healthy.

Lilith adores people so much she’s even been known to do a tiny excitable wee on seeing her foster Mum enter in the mornings. She will even leave food behind if attention is on offer! She will go to ground on meeting new people until she’s had some strokes, at which point she realises they are gentle and her confidence comes out. She will wag her tail and lean her paws on you to get your attention. She is very gentle.

Lilith can be a bit worried and is likely to find children too much. It is best for Lilith to be homed in an adult only household.

Lilith has barked at cats on the garden wall but not over aggressively. She has not had any close engagement with small furries while in foster. She would likely accept a dog savvy cat, if introduced in the right way.

Lilith sleeps in the lounge with her foster brother. She cuddles up on the couch and will either hold her toilet until morning or go on a puppy pad. She likes to come into the human bed for cuddles after breakfast and loves to bury under the covers and roll around on her back for tummy tickles.

Lilith can bark at passers-by so a home that is not fronted onto a busy road would be ideal to help her feel comfortable. Apart from a close passer by the window, Lilith doesn’t make a sound and is such a quiet girl.

Lilith has started having walks in her foster Mum’s arms as she isn’t fully vaccinated yet. She likes to watch the world and didn’t seem phased by the experience. She will need full training, including patient lead training.

Lilith is a beautiful gentle girl who is just looking for that forever lap. She would love a bit of outdoor space as being in the garden is one of her favourite things. She enjoys exploring a flower bed and sitting in the sun. she would need a resident dog who could help her with her training and being confident in the outside world.

Duke & Hazard C2021-33

****BONDED PAIR THAT NEED TO BE HOMED TOGETHER****

16 WEEKS OLD

NOT DOG TESTED BUT THEY ARE YOUNG

CAT SAVVY CHILDREN

WILL BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERNG AGREEMENT

Duke is a really sweet and loving boy. He loves company and will curl up on a lap for a cuddle, or behind a laptop when you are working. He is always thrilled to see you when you wake up or come home. He still has a hang up about food from when he was a stray and is very vocal at meal times, calling out for his dinner. He can be naughty if he is in the same room as humans having food and will beg or try to steal food from plates, but is very respectful of other cats when they are eating, especially his brother who he always gives first choice to. This can be to his loss at times if not managed. He loves a good game chasing toys around and often chases and bundles with his brother.

Hazard is a super cute little boy. He is very quiet (unlike his brother), he loves to curl up with Duke to sleep, and does tend to tire a little quicker than him when playing. He will often ask to be groomed, and is definitely the ‘baby’ of the pair. Hazzy loves a good bundle with his brother and our other cat, and is a big fan of pouncing, especially on feet moving under blankets! Although he is not much of a ‘lap’ cat at the moment, he does love to be curled up close to either a human or his brother to sleep.

Kittens

We have three 12 week old kittens that are now looking for their forever homes. Each is very different in personality so please read each write up. Spice and Pumpkin could be rehomed together and Sugar could be an only cat.

The kittens are microchipped and have had 1st vaccinations

They will be adopted on a neutering agreement

Pumpkin C2021-43

Pumpkin is a very sweet and independent girl. She does enjoy a fuss but not keen on being cuddled for long. She prefers to adventure around the house. She enjoys toys though can run at loud noises. She has a beautiful coat. She would suit older couples and families with older cat savvy children. She is fine with other cats but is not dog tested. Pumpkin needs a quieter home as she can be quite nervous of loud noises.

Sugar C2021-42

Sugar is a very outgoing kitten who is happy to play alone or with other cats and people. She enjoys a fuss and being cuddled and especially loves her belly being tickled. She is a very friendly little girl and into everything. She loves playing with toys too. Sugar is super friendly and not scared of anyone. She would be fine with cat savvy children age 6 and above. She is fine with other cats but not dog tested but is still young. She would like to live in a fun house hold with a family that is going to play with her regularly and keep her stimulated.

Spice  C2021-44

Spice is a quiet boy that is reserved in nature. He does however play really nice with his sister Pumpkin. He has not shown signs yet of enjoying a fuss but is becoming more adventurous each day. Spice would like a quieter home with cat savvy children age 11 upwards. She is fine with other cats but not dog tested but is still young.

All kittens know the house rules of using a litter tray and scratching post and would like to go out if safe when they have been neutered and are old enough.

NEEDS A CALM RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED BUT IS YOUNG

WILL BE ADOPTED ON AN ASSISTED ADOPTION. THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH POTENTIAL ADOPTERS

Hi. My name is Saffron but my friends call me Saffy. I’m a 10 month old cavalier King Charles spaniel. My favourite thing in the world is eating and I will eat anything offered to me. I use a special bowl to slow me down but my foster mum says I still inhale it not taste it! I have to be watched carefully and usually eat in a crate as I will eat everyone else’s food if I get a chance. I also love a cuddle on someone’s lap and would like my forever family to like this too.

I love to play with a ball and will push it around and bark at it. I even bring it to my foster mum or dad for them to play too. There are some loud noises that scare me but I soon settle when they stop. I’m not sure about the hoover and bark at it when my foster mum uses it. I travel well in a crate in the car and am always excited to go out. My foster mum says that whoever adopts me will be very lucky as I am a very special and brave girl (and very beautiful too)

I am coming on nicely with toilet training and providing I am taken outside regularly I mostly do it outside. I have occasional accidents when I’m playing and forget. I’m sure I’ll get better though with help from my new family.

I have hip dysplasia although my foster mum says you wouldn’t always know it when I’m chasing around with my foster brother. The vet says I don’t need an operation but I will benefit from physiotherapy. I go to the retreat in Swansea every week where a lovely lady gives me lots of treats and tells me I’m a really good girl when I walk in the water on a treadmill. I enjoy this and she’s told me that it will help to build up my muscles. The Friends of Animals Wales charity will continue to support treatment for my hip problems with an assisted adoption. I take an omega 3 capsule every day to help as this is what the physiotherapist recommended.

I don’t have any other health problems and my foster mum says I’m a real live wire and a typical puppy.

I’m very happy with my foster family but can be a little nervous when I meet new people. If they give me a treat and talk quietly then I soon make friends. I don’t live with children but they do visit and I enjoy their cuddles as long as they are gentle. I also love to play football with a boy who comes here sometimes.

I’ve not met any cats or small furries yet so I’m not sure if I like them.

In the day I rest in a donut bed which I love. I’m also happy to spend some time in a crate when my foster mum needs to go out for a couple of hours. At night I sleep in a crate in the kitchen. I sleep all night and only get up when my foster mum wakes me.

I’m loving my short walks which the physiotherapist says is ok. I walk really well on the lead and enjoy sniffing around and following my doggie friends. I love living with another dog who is about the same size as me and am learning lots from him. I will need a doggy friend in my forever home.

We have seven 14 week old Cavashon puppies that are looking for their forever homes.

Not everyone is going to be able to have a puppy so this is your opportunity to tell us why you would be the best pawrent for these puppies.

Can live with children. Not cat tested.

NEEDS A CALM RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUS AND BECOME THE PRINCESS SHE WAS MEANT TO BE.

Gemma is an ex breeding 7 year old Cocker Spaniel that is still very much a work in progress as she adjusts to being loved in a big new world. She is a nervous, quiet dog who can hide behind the sofa for much of the day if scared or unsure. Gemma loves food which is always helpful when helping her to trust new people and her surroundings. Not having had good or regular food before she is quite the thief and will take anything that has been left about.

Gentle Gemma as she is known in her foster home will take any food offered from your hand gently. She is an adorable dog that will become a loving companion given time and patience. Since a more confident foster dog has arrived in the home Gemma has been coming out from behind the sofa and spending more time in the crate (her safe space) with the door open and will go from one place to another following the other dog. Gemma does most of her toileting outside in the garden or on her walks.

Gemma is very wary of people but will let them pet her but will then go back to her hiding place when she has had enough. She has been fine when there have been children in the house but doesn’t hang about for long before going back to her safe space. Gemma will come out of her hiding place to see what’s going on before going back in an attempt to be brave before her nerves get the better of her.

Not cat or small furry tested

Gemma is good in the home generally except when there is food about. Please don’t leave food around unattended or it will vanish. This is not her fault this happens because she didn’t ever know where her next meal was coming from as no one loved her enough to care and treat her like the princess she wants to be.

Since Gemma has had both her vaccinations, we have been able to take her on walks which she enjoys. She will now come to us for us to put her harness on her when were ready to go.

Gemma needs a calm resident dog of a similar size to show her that humans and the world is a good place and no one will hurt her any more. She needs older dog savvy children who will not put pressure on her to be petted or played with. She needs a quiet home with understanding owners who will help her adjust to her new world.

NEEDS TO LIVE WITH ANOTHER SENSIBLE CAT WHO WILL SHOW HER NOT ALL HUMANS ARE BAD

AN ADULT ONLY HOME

NOT DOG TESTED

PATIENT, LOVING OWNERS WHO HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF NERVOUS CATS

NEEDS TO BE AN INDOOR CAT FOR THE FORSEABLE FUTURE OR ACCESS TO A CATIO

Gabi is a 10-12 month old very nervous little girl who came into foster with her babies and was scared of absolutely everything. She is very much a work in progress but has progressed enough now to look for her loving and patient pawrents. She was semi feral arriving into foster but is learning to trust humans slowly.

She loves her food (any flavour, jelly and gravy) and because she is so food orientated it has been a great help with getting her used to humans. For the first 3 weeks, she hissed every time she saw her foster pawrent and would hide in a corner of a large dog crate trying to make herself invisible. Fast forward and she now greets her foster parents with purrs and head bumps as long as they have food

She does not like to be picked up, and hates a cat carrier. She does not know what toys are and at the moment will not play preferring to have mega helpings of food and fussings. Socialising with humans is a daily ongoing task and she gets on really well with one of the resident cats who tells her daily that her foster parents are nice people. Any new owners are going to need to give her lots of time and space to settle in the home and make sure she doesn’t escape.

Gabi has not met any children and we would recommend an adult only home who won’t put any pressure on her to interact or play.

Gabi needs to live with an older chilled cat who can keep up the conversation that not all humans are bad and can be trusted. She has lovely conversations with her foster sibling by ‘chirping and whirring’ at each other. It was after one of their conversations that Gabi started to ‘come around’ to her foster parents.

Not dog tested

She currently has access to a covered crate and sees this as her safe space but is curious about exploring the rest of the house.

Gabi needs a quiet home where she can have as much, or as little attention as she wants where no pressure will be put on her to socialise with humans. We find it very sad that she is still a kitten herself, has already had a brood of her own and doesn’t know how to pay. This poor girl what has she been through. She definitely needs those special humans who can bring her out of herself and help her become all that she can. She’s still very young and has plenty of time to learn. She is going to need to be an indoor cat until completely bonded with her pawrents

Wren and Stimpy D2021-

Wren and Stimpy are a pair of 13 week old Chihuahua cross (no we don’t know what they are crossed with) males that are now ready to start looking for their forever homes.

Wren is a typical boisterous pup into everything and causing mischief whenever allowed and can be rehomed as an only dog but would equally be good with another playful fur baby of a similar size. Wren would need sensible children who are not going to treat him as a toy.

Stimpy is a little more nervous and needs another confident dog of a similar size to help him overcome his traumatic start to life. He will cuddle and play but just takes a little longer to get there. He is nervous of children so we would recommend older dog savvy children that are not going to over handle him.

Despite being small they are still puppies and will need to learn right from wrong and how to behave with manners in public and to other dogs. We’ve all herd the term big dog syndrome well let’s make sure that these fur babies turn out to be well socialised and adjusted individuals by investing the time they need to flourish.

The boys need owners who are around most of the time who will invest in them.

Both dogs will be adopted on neutering and training agreements. They have been health checked had their first vaccinations and been microchipped.

PATEINT PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUST TO THE REAL WORLD.

Zelda is a playful five and a half month old Cavachon cross (no we don’t know what she is crossed with) puppy. She loves going on adventures in the garden and discovering new smells. Every day brings new adventures for little Zelda. She didn’t have the best of starts but we are going to make it up to her by finding her the best Pawrents.

Zelda loves cuddles, loves her food and always looks for more. One of her favourite things is to play find the treats that foster mum scatters in the garden as she has a good nose to smell all the treats.

She is not keen on being groomed but is learning to tolerate it and this will need to continue in her forever home. Zelda is a very friendly dog who loves to come for a cuddle and has been playing happily with dog savvy children.

She is not cat or small furry tested but is young so could learn to play nice with others if given positive guidance.

Zelda’s toilet training is ongoing and she will need to be reminded to go out to the garden often. She’s not destructive but will sniff food a mile away and then tries to get it.

Zelda has not been out in the real world yet as she has only had her first vaccination. She has been playing in the garden with other dogs and gets on with everyone.

Zelda would suit any home with or without another dog. She’s young so will adapt, she can get a little distressed when left alone and scratch the door to be left in so will need someone around in the home.

NEEDS A CONFIDENT, FRIENDLY RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

NOT CAT TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PAWRENTS WHO LOVE TO CUDDLE BUT WILL ALSO HELP HIM GROW INTO THE HANDSOME MAN HE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE.

Dante is a 4 Year old Chihuahua described by his foster mum as the most friendly and loving boy who just adores cuddles and belly rubs. He’s a timid boy on first meeting a new person but rolls straight onto his back for tickles. Once you’ve given him attention, he melts and he’s all yours! He is the happiest little guy with expressive ears and a goofy smile.

Dante’s health will be discussed with any potential adopters

Dante is a real people person and loves nothing better than to be on your lap or next to you on the couch. He loves to give tiny gentle love nibbles and gets so excited to see you that he does a little dance with his front paws in the air. He’s coming out of his shell more and more each day and is starting to show a playful side with his foster Mum.

Dante hasn’t been tested with children. Due to his incredibly lovely character he’d be happy living with children over 10 years old. He can be timid so may be overwhelmed by younger children and might struggle with children who are very loud.

Dante has not been tested with cats but hasn’t reacted when they have been in the garden. If introduced to a dog savvy cat, you’d probably find them cuddled up in no time!

Dante is still learning to wee outside but his training is going well and he is very eager to please.

Dante does not like to be left alone but is happy to be left with another dog for a few hours. He likes to do a few barks as you leave but settles quickly and will be cuddled up on the couch until your return. You’ll then be greeted as if you’ve been gone for weeks.

Dante is happy to sleep downstairs overnight with another dog. He does not like to be left alone and is likely to howl for a period of time. Before his foster sister arrived, Dante slept in bed with his foster Mum as being alone really worried him. He was an absolute gentleman and seemed to understand immediately that dogs don’t wee in the bedroom.

Dante loves his food but it might take him a week or so to be comfortable taking food directly from you. He likes to know where you are and not be left completely alone while he’s eating. Dante will head over to his foster sister’s bowl when she’s finished but calling him to you, will make him take a sharp turn to get attention. If unsupervised he may try to eat another dog’s food. Dante is very gentle taking food from you and will sneak in a little lick of affection too.

Dante doesn’t have lead training yet so he will need to be introduced to the world slowly using lots of positive encouragement and support to get him trained. He currently takes walks inside his foster Mum’s coat for now and enjoys watching everything going on around him. He will progress to lead walks following his second jab.

Dante loves his foster sister and gives her kisses on the face. He’d love to play with her but she’s not there yet. Dante has got a lot of confidence having had another dog around, I think her being female made him puff up his chest a bit more and be braver!

Dante would love a home where someone is home for the majority of the time. Dante must be homed with another friendly, outgoing dog. He is starting to show interest in toys but luckily hasn’t shown any interest in his foster Mum’s possessions or household items. Dante is the most loving little clinger and would be happy to join anyone willing to give him the time and attention he adores. He really couldn’t be sweeter.

Initially she spent 5 days in her crate afraid to move but is now starting to feel confident enough to leave her safe space and explore She is slowly starting to trust her humans, coming for a fuss and even copying her foster brothers having a gentle brush. She uses the crate as a base to watch what is going on around her and does venture out once she’s sure it’s safe

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH A SIMILAR SIZED DOG

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

ACTIVE FAMILY WHO LOVE A CUDDLY DOG

Sage is a 5 year old Jack Russel terrier that before coming into rescue has had a massive nine litters of puppies and her belly shows it. That being said she is the most loving and trusting girl you could meet. She loves a fuss and can often be found cuddling up to her foster mum. She is an active girl who likes to be kept busy with regular walks (only in nice weather) and is always the first to the door if she thinks she can come with you.

Sage absolutely loves people; she has bonded well with her foster mum and loves to sit cuddled up on the sofa in her down time.

Sage would be fine to be rehomed with sensible children

Not cat or small furry tested

Sage is a lovely dog to foster. She loves her food and is fully toilet trained. She is not keen on getting her paws wet so you need to watch she toilets when it’s raining. She’s happy to be left for a few hours and is crate trained. She’s also very happy to sit on the table if you haven’t pushed the chairs in fully.

Sage is going to need a family who are happy to take her out on adventures. She loves going out for walks and is always first in line at the front door to make sure you don’t forget her.

Sage would like a family or active retired couple to take her out exploring. As long as she has a good walk and a warm sofa to cuddle on, she is more than happy.

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH A DOG THAT WONT BE BOTHERED BY HIS DOMINANCE

NO CHILDREN

DOG SAVVY CATS

PATIENT OWNERS WHO CAN HELP HIM OVERCOME HIS FEARS

Milo is a gorgeous 1 year old French Bull Dog boy who shows lots of love and loyalty to his humans. He loves nothing more than being able to cuddle up on the sofa at night and snore away. Milo was not socialised for the first year of his life in his previous home and because of this he can become anxious and unsure of the world around him.

Milo loves to play with toys and this is definitely at the top of his list with human cuddling as one of the favourite things that he wants to do.

As with most frenchies, Milo has very sensitive skin, so a diet that’s either raw or grain free and hypoallergenic is important, to keep it under control.

Milo is very comfortable when he’s around confident people and people that he’s familiar with. He’s happy to let them fuss him and loves tummy tickles.

Milo can become very anxious around children of all ages and prefers to be around adults. When anxious he can become fixated on the child as though he’s waiting for a bad response. However, Milo has not shown any aggression what so ever towards a child it’s clear to see he’s fearful and unsure around them.

Milo is currently living with a dog savvy cat and although the cat is dog savvy and bossy, Milo still tries to chase her at times to play.

Milo is a laid back chilled loving dog that will have little bouts of energy in the home and then fall asleep cuddle up to his human. He likes a quiet life and too much noise or things going on in the home can make him scared. Milo can also become nervous when meeting new people and visitors to the home especially children. When Milo has access to the outside, he is fully house trained although it’s still a work in progress. When the door is shut, he may have the odd accident as he hasn’t yet learnt to let his humans know when he needs to go outside. Milo is crate trained and will happily take himself to his crate when needing space. As with most puppies Milo will try to eat anything lying around so a watchful eye is needed.

Milo is a home boy and feels safe tucked up at home with his humans. He’s not fussed when first shown his lead and collar to go on a walk but once he’s out and about he walks beautifully on the lead, He loves exploring the world around him once out on a walk but due to not being socialised in his previous home Milo can become very concerned and scared around some people and children he may see and this can lead to him becoming vocal towards them on walks.

Milo loves the calmer things in life and would be suited to an adult only home as an only dog or with a dog that will not be bothered by his dominance and pushy playful character. He would be better suited with humans that are home most of the time as he enjoys human company and can get upset if left alone for too long. We do not recommend Milo is rehomed with any young children due to how scared he can become around them. Milo will need a loving home who are willing to put time and patience into his ongoing training with lots of socialisation to help him become comfortable moving forward in the different situations he will be experiencing.

NOT CAT OR DOG TESTED BUT MAY BE OKAY WITH GENTLE AND CAREFUL INTRODUCTIONS

GOOD WITH KIDS

A BIG SOFTIE OF A CAT

Leo is a 16-month-old male described by her foster family as a BFG – a big friendly giant! He’s a gentle, calm cat who is super friendly. He likes to come up to you and rub his head against you to get attention. He is a gorgeous sleek black and white boy who would make the perfect pet for a family as he’s really good with kids.

His party trick is giving you a paw when being fed treats. This easy-going chap likes to curl up on your lap (but he may be too big!) or snuggle up next to you on the sofa. He hasn’t been outside yet in his foster home but it is thought he would like to after a period of settling.

He is happy to spend time having a snooze on his own but also greets you when you come home and seeks you out for some fuss.

Leo is good with kids as he’s such a big softie

He has not been cat tested but is a very laid-back character so might be ok with gentle and supervised introductions.

He has not been dog tested but again he is a very laid-back character so might be ok

Leo loves to have the run of the house. He is not destructive and knows to use a scratching pole and litter tray. Leo would love to live with a family that can give him attention when he wants it and be his cuddle buddy.

CAN BE AN ONLY CAT OR LIVE WITH ANOTHER PLAYFUL, TOLERANT CAT

NOT DOG TESTED BUT IS STILL YOUNG

CAT SAVVY CHILDREN AS HES SUPER ACTIVE

LOVES PEOPLE

Morpheus is a 4 month old cheeky chappy named after the god of sleep. When he arrived in foster, he was so very tired from being lost in the wilderness, he just had to have a 3 day nap. Since his big nap he has become the most active and playful kitten his foster parents have ever had. He is definitely making up for lost time and is busy discovering the world.

Morph’s three main modes are

  • Lap cat: he loves to have a cuddle and a sleep on his person, in front of the telly, on the computer, anywhere really.
  • Playfulness: he has learnt to play ‘nice’ with silly hairless humans and loves gently slapping ankles or heads as they go past. He thinks surprised humans yelping is so funny!
  • Zoomies: who said only dogs can run around the house like mad people? When Morph is zooming nothing can stop him. Now is not the time to touch him, he’s a tiger, a panther!! It’s time for humans to swap hands for a decent-length cat toy…

Morph is definitely a people person and just wants to be wherever you are. He is currently in foster as an only cat and makes his humans play with him lots. If he is to be an only cat then be prepared to play a LOT. He had a kitten sleepover for a whole weekend with another cat and was good but super energetic so any resident cats are going to also need to be very playful but tolerant.

He lives with a cat-savvy 9yo who knows when to leave him alone to rest but also when to hold back so he doesn’t get too excited. He has not been dog tested and this would be the decision of any potential owners as he is still very young to learn to play with dogs nicely.

Morph uses the litter tray and the scratching pole like a big boy.

Morph has to stay inside in his foster home but he would probably be happy having access to the outside at some point (and it may help with his energy levels).

SENSIBLE RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED

ACTIVE,PATIENT FAMILY WHO WILL INVEST IN HER TRAINIGN AND AMBITION TO BE A WARRIOR PRINESS

ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT

Hocus is a 16 week old Poodle Cross described by her foster mum as a little sweetie who plays well with the resident dogs. She is currently not interested in toys but loves her food. She is a little nervous but loves to cuddle on the couch with you and the resident woofers. She is like a little princess around the place but is not afraid to tell the other dogs to get off her if they are being a bit ruff.

As a puppy toilet training is ongoing but she has been very good with some treats and pawsitive reinforcement. Basic training is ongoing and luckily she is treat motivated and clever. This will come in handy as Hocus has big plans for her future not only is she going to be a warrior Princes she wants to play Sandy the loveable dog in Annie in the west end. Every girl has a dream….right…. and we have big dreams for our girl.

Hocus is tiny and could easily become a handbag dog but as we have said she has other plans. Due to her size and nervousness at being picked up we wouldn’t recommend young or small children but older dog savvy children will be fine.

She is very good with her grooming and doesn’t mind being brushed. She is going to need regular grooming and visits to the beauty parlour to keep her in tip top condition.

She does not like a crate so she sleeps with all the dogs on foster mums’ bed at night and in the day she is on the couch with all the other dogs snoozing and dreaming of her exciting future.

She is not cat or small furry tested

Hocus enjoys the garden as long as the other dogs are with her and she follows them around watching what they do gaining daily confidence. She has not been out adventuring yet due to only having her 1st vaccination. Pawtential owners are going to need to continue her training to encompass lead work.

Hocus needs an active family with a sensible resident dog who will teach her the ropes and be her side kick in her ambitions to be a warrior princess. A family who will take her to puppy school to socialise in a safe environment. Sensible children who wont over handle her but will help her feel safe and loved and read her adventure stories at bedtime.

Hocus will be adopted on a neutering and training agreement

RESIDENT ACTIVE DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED

PATIENT, LOVING PAWRENTS THAT ARE AROUND MOST OF THE TIME

Well where do I start, Angelica or ‘Jelly’ for short is a 3 year old Cavashon that despite having only been in foster a short time has come on so well that she is ready to start looking for her forever pawrents. She has made good progress from not wanting to get out of the crate at all to now being ensconced comfortably on the sofa and loves sleeping on foster mum’s bed. She is a beautiful girl who loves to sleep and will lie next to you but is not quite at the snuggling stage yet.

She likes to nose out of the window with her foster brother and will run around trying to play with him. She toilets outside but likes company in the garden and loves the garden at night when she can do her zoomies. She will need to be taken out into the garden regularly as she’s not quite ready to make her own way outside yet. She loves her food and will quite happily eat her foster brother’s dinner if you don’t keep an eye. She has been left for about an hour or two with her foster brother and has been fine. She greets you so happily when you come home, bouncing all over the place and she has copied this from her foster brother. She has gotten used to household sounds but can still be wary of new sounds and any fast movements.

She is a beautiful girl, so gentle, with a cheeky personality. She is comfortable with visitors coming into the house although will stay in her comfy place and watch from a distance. She has not been out for walks yet due to vaccinations not being complete. She was ok wearing a harness and lead going to the vets but got a bit car sick despite that she travelled well.

Not tested with cats or small furries and we would recommend older dog savvy children.

Her favourite thing is being inside lounging on the settee. She does like to sleep on foster mum’s bed also and if she is not quite ready to get up will zoom up the stairs and go back to bed. She is ok going up the stairs but a bit unsure coming down. She likes to watch the outside go by through the window and likes to give the odd bark to let people know she is there.

Jelly would like a home where owners are around most of the time to escort her in and out to the garden till, she can get her confidence. Older dog savvy children who will read her stories at bedtime and run around the garden with her. She will need a calm but active dog for zoomies and adventures. She’s heard about squirrels and trees and is looking for someone to show her all the good spots to sniff and roll.

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH A DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

PATIENT PARENTS THAT ARE HOME MOST OF THE TIME AND NEED A CUDDLE MONSTER IN THEIR LIVES

Joker or Jojo as his foster family call him is a 7yrs old Toy Poodle. He is a red/brown colour or as we call him the Ginger Nija.
He is an ex stud dog, very small in size but huge personality . He will steal your heart as well as the odd bit of unattended food! Jojo is not nervous around people and gets very excited when meeting new people. He will spin in circles with excitement and in the hope of attracting your attention. He does jump up on people and this is being worked on with the command “off” which he is slowly getting. His training will need to be continued in his new home. He likes other dogs very much but does not rely on them for confidence as he has plenty of his own. He is super friendly and a lovable little man who just needs a lap to sit on and he’ll be happy.

JoJo’s medical history will be discussed with any potential adopters

Jojo loves people and will attempt to gain your attention by dancing in circles. He loves cuddles and the sound of a soft, gentle voice will get his tail wagging. He loves to snuggle on the sofa, getting as close to his pawrents as possible.

Jojo would be better around older children as he can get very excited and jumps up on them. This would be a problem for smaller children. Children over 10 who are used to dogs would manage better. Jojo has shown no interest in toys as yet but this could change when he is settled.

Jojo is not cat tested but this can be done if needed

Jojo needs a loving, patient home where his new owners are around most of the day. He does not cope very well with being left alone becoming distressed barking and crying. Toilet training is a work in progress with Jojo needing to be reminded frequently. If a door is open to the garden, he will take himself out but if closed he needs a little help.

Jojo only has one tooth so needs a soft diet. He enjoys his food and gets extra excited at meal times. He has three small meals a day at the moment but could be reduced to two medium meals once he has gained weight and built up a tolerance.
He enjoys a treat of fresh, soft chicken.

Jojo cannot walk upstairs as yet, as he is not used to it so will need to be picked up and carried. He doesn’t mind being carried but can become a little anxious until he gets used to you and feels safe. He likes to sleep in his pawrents bed and be as close to you as possible snuggling all night long.

Jojo has not been out and about as his vaccinations are not complete. He has had his first vac and will need the second in a month.

Jojo need’s a home where he will be very loved with one or more laps to cuddle up on all day and evening. Older children or children who visit occasionally would be fine but unfortunately no young children. Jojo will need patience and understanding and owners who are prepared to help him learn the skills needed to relax and enjoy his retirement.
