Matilda 4 years old 2024-39 Needs to be an only cat Fine with older cat savvy children Fostered in Cardiff Matilda was obviously loved and cared for by her family for 4 years. She was fed well and kept warm and safe. Then the family moved house and poor Matilda was abandoned, totally bewildered and left to fend for herself. The winter storms began and her neighbours provided food and shelter but nothing could make up for her loss. She stayed close to the warm and loving home she once knew. Her neighbours found her a rescue space with us and she was welcomed into her foster home by an experienced foster carer. She appreciates the comfort of a sofa, enjoying sunshine through the window. She’s had a clean bill of health and is ready to find her forever home. Matilda’s personality is impeccable. She has a thick silky glossy coat. She loves the company of humans but would prefer to be the only cat. She loves gentle hand smooths and intelligent conversation. She’ll offer her paw for love and talks in little chirrups and meows. Matilda needs a forever home that will cherish her so she can leave the past behind. Eventually she’ll like to explore a cat safe garden and enjoys the company of older cat savvy children who understand her. Asher D2024-157 • Needs a resident dog/dogs • Not cat or small furry tested • Older dog savvy children • Patient family Asher is a 7 year old Bichon described by his foster family as a typical puppy farm dog who is very unsure around humans he doesn’t know. If in doubt he will run to his safe space and watch from afar. Walking outside on the lead is work in progress as it’s scary out in the big wide world, so new owners would need to work on this slowly and gradually as this will take him time to learn Asher is fine around older gentle and understanding children 10+ that will leave him to adapt and watch and not bother him too much. Younger louder children may be too much and will scare him. Asher relies a lot on other dogs in the home. He doesn’t have a lot of confidence by himself and will let the resident dog lead the way. He will sit back watch and then once he feels safe he will join in, so it’s very important he has another dog to help him flourish. He plays with the other dog in the home and they zoomie up and down the garden. Walking on the lead is work in progress and will need to be continued around the garden in his new home before he does outside. Asher sleeps in the kitchen with the resident dog in the dog bed all night. He would be happy to also sleep on the bed with the foster mum and has done from time to time. Toilet training is a work in progress and is going to need some work. He’s slowly learning but will still have accidents inside the home. Please consider this when adopting a puppy farm dog as this will have to be worked on and will come slowly. Asher loves his food and eats really well. He has no food aggression and loves treats Asher is ideally looking for a quiet home that will have patience with him as he’s a slow burner. He relies heavily on the resident dog in the home to snuggle up with and learn from. Once he trusts his human he will snuggle up and enjoy lots of cuddles but that needs to be built slowly by letting him decompress and be left to learn from the other dog. Time will be the biggest thing with Asher and his new home must let him decompress over time and not rush him to soon. Asher is a gentle boy but an unsure soul but once he trusts you will have his all. Sylvia D2024-149 & Pearl D2024-150 • To be adopted together • They can be adopted as a pair on their own • Could live with a kind playful dog • Can live with cats • Older visiting children Sylvia and Pearl are bonded 4 Year old Cavachon’s described by their foster family as the gentlest of souls. They want nothing more than to be loved and to return that love. Both are becoming braver and learning to trust more every day, and it’s a joy to see two of the waggiest tails ever!. They are always together, and foster mum’s shadow! They will happily share space and play around the house when all their foster family is home. Neither of them has ever shown any form of aggressive behaviour at any time. Both Sylvia and Pearl would be happiest living in a home without children. They could live with a family who have older visiting children who will wait for Sylvia and Pearl to interact with them and not expect anything from them. They need a quieter, more relaxed environment, where they can learn a routine and continue to grow in confidence and thrive. Both Sylvia and Pearl are fine with the cat in their foster home. Happy to sit by him, and Sylvia will give him little kisses too! Both dogs will happily play alone with their dog toys but also love a game of tug o war with each other! Neither of them has ever shown any resource guarding behaviour, and will happily swap toys mid game. Both are just starting to play fetch and get very excited, although bringing it back is a work in progress! They love to run around outside in the garden with the three resident dogs, and will now initiate play themselves. Sylvia walks well wearing a harness and lead around the garden and in the local secure field. She loves to run around the secure field freely, and returns to foster mum when called. Pearl will walk with a harness and lead, but isn’t as comfortable as Sylvia yet. She looks to Sylvia for comfort, and is getting braver all the time. Pearl also enjoys the secure field, and seeing them together happily exploring is heart melting. Both dogs sleep together in their bed in foster parent’s room. They love to have bedtime cuddles and morning ones too, when they both roll around the bed licking foster mum, the other dogs and foster mum. Both sleep through the night. Sylvia is reliably housetrained with her routine. She will now also ask to be let out. Pearl is nearly there, it’s just a matter of time. Both girls are clean overnight. Sylvia and Pearl are happy to eat next to each other, although Sylvia really loves her food, and if not watched would gladly Polish off Pearl’s too! They both love their treats, will take them from foster mum’s hand and can hear the treat jar opening from the garden! These two beautiful girls need to feel safe, loved and to have trust in their human/s. Their home needs to be their calm, safe place with someone home most of the time. They need predictability in order to continue to grow in confidence and also a secure garden to enjoy the freedom of exploration and play. Holly D2025-01 • Holly can be an only dog with doggy friends • Could also live with other dogs • Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn • Active home required as she needs both physical and mental stimulation • Needs to attend puppy class Holly is a 10 week old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a beautiful girl, great with people in the home and visitors, all she wants is to play and have cuddles. She has only had her 1st Vaccination so hasn’t been out on a walk. Holly has a cute little bark and sharp teeth being a pup. She loves to follow foster mum around so you must be vigilant as she will be under your feet before you know it. If foster mum opens a packet of any kind Holly is there thinking it’s something yummy for her. She has learned to sit as she knows she has a treat as a reward for doing really well. She is good with other dogs, all she wants to do is play, and she will adjust to being around small furries due to her age. She plays with toys on her own and with other dogs. Also plays tug with foster mum, and chases a ball in the garden. She is doing really well on a harness and lead in the garden, but will need to attend puppy classes. She can be homed with children, but they must be mindful of her sharp teeth so I would say above 5 years old. Holly sleeps downstairs in an open crate or upstairs during the night. During the day she will sleep on a dog bed in the living room. House training is a work in progress. It’s hit and miss with a puppy pad but she is getting there. And will go out the garden if foster mum is out there. She is fine eating around other dogs, and taking treats. Holly has an active body and brain and will need to attend puppy class to help her be a well rounded rescue ambassador. She can be an only dog with doggy friends or live with other dogs. She would fit into most families but is going to be quite active. Coco D2024-170 • Needs a resident dog to learn from • Older teenage children who will give her space • Patient and loving family Coco is a 2 year old mini Poodle described by his foster family as a shy and reserved little lady. She is still soaking in what it means to live in a home with people and likes to take a back seat and watch. She will need a lovely, patient family who are happy to let her adjust and come when she is ready. She is making huge strides each day, and when she is ready she will be the most amazing loyal little dog. Although she’s not currently keen on foster mum being hands on with her, and isn’t used to strokes, she’s always near me and takes comfort in being near a safe human. She really deserves a family who will give her a chance and have low expectations of her initially. Coco would be happiest in a home with older teenage children who will understand that she needs her space until she is happy and settled and has gained some confidence. Not cat or small furry tested Coco does not currently play with toys but were confident once she is in her forever home with a family and furry brother or sister she will learn how much fun they are. Lead and harness walking is going to take time and can only start once she is settled in her forever home. Coco currently sleeps downstairs with the other fosters, she sleeps soundly all night and we don’t hear a peep from her. Toilet training is getting there, and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason there should be any issues in this area. Coco loves her food. There are 6 dogs in the home who all eat together with no issues. The most important thing for Coco’s new home is a home that will be patient. She’s been through a lot in her short life and really needs time and space to adjust and not have huge expectations put on her. She needs a home that is happy for her to just sit back and watch, and then come to them in her own time. She would need to live with another small/medium breed dog, who can show her what it means to be a pet and that humans are safe. Pickles D2024-169 • Needs another dog to learn from • Not cat tested • Dog savvy children • Would benefit from attending classes as he’s very intelligent and quick to learn Pickles is a 2 year old Poodle described by her foster family as a super friendly young boy who wants fusses and cuddles from everyone. He can initially be a little shy but once he knows you, he is everyone’s best friend. Pickles could live with children of any age who are old enough to understand he isn’t a toy, more people means more cuddles for him! He’s current in foster with children aged 9 and 13. Not cat or small furry tested Pickles does not currently play with toys but were confident once he in his forever home with a family and furry brother or sister he will learn how much fun they are. Pickles has worn a harness and lead to go to the vets and walked really nicely. He has not been far as he has only had his first injection. Pickles sleeps downstairs in a bed in the kitchen and sleeps soundly through the night, he works excellent as a back up alarm clock as if he hears the alarm go he will come to the bottom of the stairs and give a little bark to make sure you are definitely awake and aware that it is time for breakfast. Toilet training is a work in progress. He is getting there and if his new family continue to set him up for success he should continue to do very well in this area. He loves his food and there are no issues eating around others. There are currently 6 dogs in the home who all eat together with no issues. Pickles is young and confident so he would suit a wide variety of homes. He needs another dog in the home to learn from and play with. Deilen D2024-162 • Can be an only dog • Not cat tested • Older dog savvy children ADeilen is a beautiful 5 year old Cavalier described by her foster mum as a sweet natured ex breeding ruby cavalier. She is surprisingly confident around people considering her past. She has settled really well into family life in her foster home and loves to snuggle up on the sofa next to her humans. She will greet visitors with a waggy tail and wiggly body and will be your friend for life if you offer her a treat. She loves her people and will follow you if you move out of her sight. If she had a signature song it would definitely be “Me and My Shadow!” Deilen has a heart murmur and can be adopted on an assisted adoption which will be discussed with potential adopters. Deilen has coped well with her fosterers young grandchildren. She is happy to let them stroke her but she doesn’t interact with them and would prefer a quiet household to one with hustle and bustle. A home with young adult children would be ok. She is not cat or small furry tested. She is starting to show an interest in toys but at the moment it is more testing things with her teeth than anything. In the last few days she has taken a likening to socks and likes to take them away turning them into works of art. She’s happy to let the other dogs share the toy but will leave it rather than play with them. She gets on well with the two other dogs in the foster home but she is quite independent from them and seeks human rather than doggy attention. She has just started to walk on a lead. She has been on one walk and was absolutely brilliant. She walks well with lead and harness greeted other dogs politely and even sat down to let one passerby give her a fuss. She sleeps in a crate in the bedroom with her fosterer. She sleeps right through. We do feel that in time she’d love to be a cuddle on the bed type of girl. House training is going well. She needs to be let out at regular intervals but she’s really good at routine. She is a food monster she loves her food but will share treats and even her food with the other dogs however she does expect them to share too. Deilen is a girl who needs to be adored. Russ D2024-163 • Needs a resident dog • Fine with cats • Older dog savvy children • Patient owners Russ is a 4 year old Spaniel who likes to pretend he is scared and nervous but really, he is just storing up all his courage to be brave and adventurous. He has really come out of his shell in the last week and has now started chasing and playing with the resident dogs. His new favourite hobby is looking out the window doing his bit for neighbourhood watch. He has a very waggy tail and will let you stroke him and is happy to wander around watching what goes on. He’s still not made a noise but his tail never stops wagging and he just needs someone who understands that these things take time. He has started to investigate his foster home and now chooses to come into the living room with his foster pawrents and will lie on the floor but is definitely eyeing up the settee if he can just move the three small resident dogs to make room. He approaches to let you stroke him but it’s taken at his pace. He loves to go out in the garden even in the rain and can’t understand why the sausages in his foster home won’t follow him. He is fully housetrained if allowed access to the garden. He was happy to be stroked by the 7 year old but older children who will understand his signals. He is fine with cats totally ignores them. Good on harness and lead in the garden. Has not been out yet as not fully vaccinated and needs to settle in his home before trying. He will now choose to wander upstairs to sleep on the floor next to our bed and will put his feet up on the bed to see what his doggy pals are doing and is beginning to get up the guts to jump up. So beware it won’t be long before he’s sharing. He is fed in another room as he likes to wander and check what others have. He has quickly learnt what the biscuits tin is and if the other dogs aren’t around, he will take a treat from your hand. He has also just realised that good things happen in the kitchen and has realised the worktops are where the interesting smells come from. He hasn’t taken anything but given the opportunity maybe he would try. Russ needs a home with a resident dog to show him how to dog. Someone who is around most of the time so you can bond. Once he has built his confidence, we are sure he will really enjoy his walkies and adventures. He is good with children but a busy, noisy household would not suit. He just needs to take things slowly to build his confidence and he will really shine. Misty C2024-33 13 years young Fostered in Aberdare QUIET HOME NEEDED Hello I’m Misty I’m an older lady with a lot of love to give to my special people. My favourite thing is to catch on my human’s lap and purr away. If I see that you’re planning to sit down I’ll be right there! If I want your attention I’ll let you know by putting my paw on you. It’s very cute! I have excellent manners. I don’t scratch furniture, toilet nicely and won’t wake you up in the middle of the night. I’m just looking for a place to retire to, with someone who likes cuddles much as I do, particularly as my fur is so soft! I don’t mind other cats as long as they don’t want to play with me. I just prefer human to feline companions. I’m really looking forward to meeting you Misty is neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, microchipped, uses a scratching post and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. APPLY HERE
Callie D2021-160 • Needs a resident dog to learn from • Not cat or small furry tested • Dog savvy children Callie is a 4 Year old Cocker cross King Charles Cavalier described by her foster family as being shy at first but once she gets to know you, she loves a fuss and a cuddle. She is a proper little lady and doesn’t get in your face but likes to follow you around with a waggy tail. As you can see from her pictures she really does wear her heart on her sleeve. Well in this case on her body. She has not yet learnt what toys are but were sure she would be very happy to learn. Callie could live with any aged children, as long as they are old enough to know she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13. Not cat or small furry tested. Learning to walk on a lead and harness is a work in progress and this will take time to be worked on with her new family once settled. She is starting to figure out what it is all about and will get there with the help of a fur sibling. She currently sleeps in a bed in the kitchen and sleeps quietly all night. She is house trained but as with all adopted dogs she will need her new family to set her up for success for this to continue. All 5 dogs in the home eat together without issue. Callie would suit most homes, she will need a home that’s reasonably active as she thoroughly enjoys getting out to use that spaniel nose of hers. She must live with another small or medium sized dog as she relies on the other dogs for confidence and for learning how to behave. She is a beautiful little lady who is an absolute delight and whoever rehomes her is going to be so so lucky. Pumpkin D2024-164 • Needs a resident dog to learn from and enjoy adventures with • Older dog savvy children • Fine with dog savvy cats • Would benefit from attending puppy class Pumpkin is a 12 month old Shitzu Cross described by his foster family as initially a bit wary but soon joins in with wherever his foster brother is up to. He will soon tell you off if you aren’t giving him enough attention. He enjoys standing on the windowsill with his foster siblings and doing their bit for neighbourhood watch. He is happy around children who are dog aware and would make a great adventure companion once he has made friends with them. He follows the lead of another dog to feel confident and safe. He currently chases the family cat – because his foster brother does, but a dog savvy cat who would tell him off is all he would need. He plays with dogs and toys if the other dogs are and bounces around like a lamb when playing. He makes you smile watching him and it’s impossible to feel sad when pumpkin is around even when he’s doing something he shouldn’t as he just gives u a cheeky look with his deep eyes and he could charm anyone. He will wear a harness but doesn’t really like the lead but this is being worked on. Lots of encouragement and positive rewards help. At the moment he goes to a secure field with the other dogs and when you let him go, he’s like a whizzing, jumping firework or newborn lamb. He currently sleeps on the bottom of fosters bed as this is where his foster brother sleeps. As long as you remind him to go out and give him ample opportunity, he is almost fully house trained. He will follow the other dogs out and is learning from them. He eats well with the other dogs and waits until his name is called and bowl put down. He will take treats but can sometimes hold back a bit so the treat is put on the floor for him. He knows when treats are expected and if on a walk, he will stay quite close to the person with the treats so he doesn’t miss out. He will remind you if you forget to give him a treat after he has done well. So training works both ways. Pumpkin needs a family who will take him on adventures but understand that he needs work on a lead. He loves being cuddled up and will happily do lazy days, when you need a bit of down time. He needs a resident dog to learn from and he really enjoys an adventure buddy to chase and cuddle. Berry D2024-151 • Needs a resident dog • Can live with dog savvy cats • Can be homed with sensible older children • Would benefit from attending puppy class Berry is a 10 month old Bichon described by her foster mum as a gentle girl who is lovely with people. Berry can be homed with sensible children over 10 as little ones would scare her. Berry lives with three cats and will sometimes do a low growl when she sees them, mainly because they warned her with a swipe when she came to stay that the cats are boss. Berry plays with toys alone, however with a playful dog she would almost definitely play with them. Berry is not yet walking on a lead. She loves the garden but is very scared in the big outdoors and the sound of a car going past will send her into a frenzy. Her family must make sure they keep her safe with a three point harness and the garden must be secure. Berry doesn’t like the harness and lead as yet, she can be difficult to catch to pop them on, but is interested as to why the other resident dogs get excited when they see the harness. Berry sleeps downstairs with the other dogs she has been invited to sleep upstairs with foster mum and one of the resident dogs but as yet she hasn’t taken up the opportunity House training is ongoing. Berry will scoff all the food she sees if allowed and in record time. This is probably due to not having been given regular meals previously. She came into foster very skinny but is now putting on weight slowly. She eats in a crate or a separate room to make sure she doesn’t steal the other dogs food. We would also recommend she have a slow feeder. Berry would like a home with an active family who have a resident dog to give her confidence on her walkies and in general. She needs a patient family who will advocate for her in the first instance until she feels confidence. She would really benefit from attending puppy classes to socialise and build a bond with her family. Dazzle D2024-158 • Needs a resident dog • Not cat or small furry tested • Dog savvy children Dazzle is a 4 year old Cavapoo described by her foster mum as a proper people’s dog, wherever foster mum is there she is, and if foster mum is on the move she is one step behind. She loves to cuddle and be stroked and is desperate to be a lap dog! She can be a little shy initially but it doesn’t take her long to wag that tail and come for a fuss. Dazzle could live with all aged children providing they are old enough to understand she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13 Not cat or small furry tested. She doesn’t understand what toys are yet but we are sure she could learn. Lead and harness training is a work in progress but the more she trusts you the more willing she will be. Dazzle sleeps on a bed on the floor in her fosterers room and sneaks on the bed if she thinks she can get away with it. House training is doing amazingly and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she shouldn’t continue to be clean in the home. All 5 dogs in the home eat together without issue, she does have a tendency to let others steal her food so is watched to make sure she eats her food without helpers. Dazzle would suit a variety of homes, she is confident and adaptable. The most important attribute is that there is someone who is around most of the time to give her company and snuggles, she would need a resident similar sized dog as she gets great comfort from curling up with her small/medium breed friends.
She is happy to be left home with the other dogs and doesn’t make a peep, she is truly a joy to look after and will be thoroughly missed. Neutered Vaccinated. She can be a little shy at first but once she realises you are kind she will come over for strokes and cuddles. Pixie is great with kids and could live with any age children that are old enough to understand that she is not a toy. She is in foster with children aged 9-13. She is not tested with cats or small furries. She hasn’t quite learnt what toys are for yet but she enjoys a good rough and tumble with the resident labradors. She hasn’t been far yet as she is not fully vaccinated but has walked to the vets and was very good on the lead, this will improve with practice once she is fully vaccinated. She is quite happy to sleep anywhere as long as she has some doggy company, she has slept downstairs with the other dogs, on a bed on the bedroom floor and in the bed itself. She is doing amazingly with her house training and if her new family continue to set her up for success there is no reason she won’t continue to be clean in the house. All 5 dogs in residence eat together with no issues. She does have a tendency to ‘sample’ the other dogs food so something to be aware of if her new fur siblings would not like this. Pixie would suit a wide variety of homes. She is young and confident so still very malleable, she’d be just as happy in a busy family home as in a quiet older home. She has just started to give little licks to her foster mum and is gaining in confidence and learning to trust on a daily basis. Foster mum has even had a few special cuddles. She is now funny vaccinated and has been practicing in the garden ready for adventures in the big wide world Foster mum will sit on the floor to encourage play time with the toys and she is slowly getting there. Fern is house-trained but will have an accident now and then if not taken out regularly to the garden. She just needs to get into a routine and have nice treats when she has done well. Fern travels well in a car. Not cat or small furry tested. She eats fine around other dogs, no resource guarding, and will take a treat from your hand when it suits her. She can be homed with dog savvy children over the age of 7 who will give her space when she needs it. Fern sleeps in foster mums bed and loves pinching her warm spot if she leaves it. She also wakes you up with lovely morning kisses as if to say what we doing today mum I’m so excited to feel safe and loved. Fern can be an only dog with doggy friends she could also be homed with other dogs. She needs a quiet family home with dog savvy children. Acorn D2024-152 • Can be an only dog with doggy friends can also love with another dog • Older dog savvy children • Would benefit from attending puppy class • Patient family Acorn is a 11 month old Westie who after being in foster has become a bright little girl. She loves attention and being brushed. Now she has found her paws foster mum says she is into everything. She is jumping about playing with toys, chewing ,and asking for attention. She will play with toys on her own or with another playful dog.
She still gets her quiet times and likes to go under the shelves in her safe area but comes out quickly if she thinks she’s missing something and is quiet and cuddly with foster mum when there are visitors. She can be rehomed with gentle dog savvy children over 5. She will run up and asked to be picked up on sofa, even though she can jump up and will push in for the best position next to foster mum.
Acorn adores the garden and loves a good zoomies. Especially if one of her friends has come around for a play date. Then its game on of who can run the fastest. Despite loving a good play she also enjoys it when they go home and she gets foster mum all to herself for snuggles and treats. Acorn is starting to enjoy the outside world and loves all the smells and colours in the fields. She is still worried when she can hear people and cars and is not keen on walking on the pavements but is getting better every day she just needs practice with her forever family. Not cat or small furry tested.
She currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs.
Acorn is now completely house trained.
She loves her food but doesn’t really like sharing so if there is another dog in the home she will need to be fed separate or watched. She is just being a bit of a princess after having a ruff start and doesn’t know how to share.
Acorn can be an only dog with doggy friends or can live with another dog but her pawrents will have to teach her how to share nicely. She is still very young as is only now being given rules to follow so it’s all a bit new to her. She would suit most homes but is not super active. She is fine being left with other dogs for short periods.
Rosemary -D2024-147 • Needs a resident dog for confidence • Older dog savvy children • Not cat or small furry tested Rosemary is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a timid, gentle soul who is lacking in confidence and at the moment is very dependent on the resident dogs to show her that all will be okay and she is safe now. She loves cuddles in her safe space, which is an open crate with lots of nice, warm fluffy blankets. She is still decompressing and is enjoying spying on foster mum watching what she gets up to. She is not yet looking for fuss and attention but her tail is wagging non stop and she is almost there. Rosemary has a cheeky side when unobserved and will pinch anything not tidied away or left on worksurfaces. This is not her fault no one has loved her enough before to teach her the house rules. So be warned if you leave it out, she thinks its hers and will take it off to her safe place for a chew and cuddle. She doesn’t know the joy of toys yet and also likes to chew on these. She is starting to enjoy being brushed and this will need to continue in her forever home to make her confident to go to the groomers. Rosemary can live with older dog savvy children who have the patience and time to encourage her to integrate into the home without fear. Not cat or small furry tested. She has been for her first walk today out in the big wide world and although nervous she coped extremely well. Foster mum met some friends when out and after commenting how pretty Rosemary is and giving her time to relax, she allowed some gentle pets. This will continue with her foster mum but she really needs a new big brother or sister to show her all the joys the world has to offer our princess. She sleeps soundly in her crate in the kitchen She is almost fully house trained. She will always toilets in the garden when out. So she needs a routine and nice treats when she has done good. She has no food issues and is starting to enjoy having good food and regular meals. She eats her food slowly and will need to be watched to make sure no other dogs scare her off her food. She is also learning what treats are and takes these gently. Rosemary needs a home with a confident resident dog of similar size and a family that can give her time and patience to become a loving companion. She will come out of her shell and it will be joyous to watch. This girl has a bright future in front of her and needs her family to be her guiding light. Pearl D2024-150 • Needs a resident dog • Good with cats • Older teenage children or no children Pearl is a 4 year old Cavashon who at present is very wary around humans, she needs time and patience to learn to trust. Despite her nervousness she already responds to gentle voices and encouragement and wants very much to be part of the family. She is getting braver every day. She has never shown any form of aggressive or reactive behaviour to her humans or dog friends. Her foster family all agree that pearl is an absolute sweetheart. Pearl’s personality is emerging daily and foster mum says she’s an adorable little girl who melts your heart. She gives sweet little licks and gets so excited when she sees her foster mum in the morning. Her cheeky side is starting to emerge too, any dropped tissues are pounced on with joy! Pearl is absolutely lovely with her foster family’s cat. She will walk around with him in the garden which is so cute as they are almost the same size! Pearl needs a quieter home, so an adult only house or a family with older, dog savvy teenagers would best meet her needs. Pearl is quickly learning the joy of playing with toys. She will choose one to chew or lick and take it up onto the settee. She loves watching the resident dogs play together, and will also pinch her foster mum’s ball of wool given half a chance! Pearl hasn’t been outside her foster homes garden yet. She is happy to wear a mesh harness and is learning not to be afraid of walking on a lead. All she needs is practice and a calm dog to learn from. Pearl sleeps in a soft dog bed, cuddled up to her foster sister, next to her foster parent’s bed. Sometimes she has the cutest little snore! Pearl is learning quickly to follow the resident dogs outside to toilet. She sleeps right through the night with no accidents. Pearl absolutely loves her food and treats, her little tail wags and wags when she sees her bowl coming! She does not resource guard her food at all. Peari will thrive in a quieter environment with someone home most of the time. She is a small, gentle dog and boisterous children and a hectic home could cause anxiety and distress for her. She needs a safe, secure garden to play in and a kind, friendly dog to help her feel safe and to learn from. Meg D2024-148 • Can be an only dog • Can live with another dog • Not cat tested • Older family who will adore her Meg is a 9 year old black Labrador who loves people, especially women. She enjoys a quiet life and loves her cuddles and belly rubs. She is happy to come and meet people with her tail wagging and loves it if she is made a fuss of. She is very much a people dog. She enjoys her walks and is always happy to meet people along the way. She is still a bit bewildered to find herself in new surroundings but is in foster due to no fault of her own. Not cat tested but has not reacted to cats whilst out on walks. Meg is fine with children, happy to be around them and have fusses. She would be happy to have children visiting now and again if not living with them but quieter older children as she would not cope with boisterous youngsters. Meg has her own toys but is not yet ready to play with them but once settles she would probably like to play again. Meg loves her walks and gets excited when having her lead on. She is walked on a slip lead and will initially pull a little out of excitement, but soon settles and loves to jog around the fields with her tail wagging. She is happy to be walked on her own or with other dogs. She walks really well on the lead and is not bothered by traffic. Meg currently sleeps on a rug with her blankets in a room away from the resident dogs. She has been into the living room and climbed on the sofa. In a home without other dogs she would probably love to be a sofa/lap dog but at 36kg probably a sofa dog would be better!. Meg is completely house trained and will go to the door to ask to go out. She loves being out in the garden and has to be persuaded to come back in sometimes. Meg prefers to eat away from the other dogs and she likes her human with her to tell her she is a good girl and to encourage her to eat. She is currently eating 2 meals a day but was used to having food available all day, she is gradually learning that she has to eat only at meal times which is better for her. She takes treats gently and likes to eat them away from the others dogs. Meg would love a quiet home with access to a garden and someone around most of the time to give her cuddles and take her for walks. She is not bothered by other dogs but would probably prefer to be an only dog in the home and meet others when out and about on walks. She enjoys her walks and would love to be able to have fun off lead in a secure field as she loves to run and sniff. Whilst Meg is used to being an only dog, she may well happily live with another quiet dog. She would be an ideal companion for an older active woman or couple where she would be the centre of their world. • Can be an only dog • Can also live with another dog • Not cat or small furry tested • Family who likes walks and cuddles • Family willing to meet her a few times so she gets to know them Rosie is a 3 year old lurcher who loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa after a fun walk! She is an energetic bouncy girl and loves playing with toys in the house. After spending her first 11 months living in a kennel, she was brought into a vets seriously unwell where she was then signed over. Once back on the mend she was fostered and adopted and settled well in to a family home. Due to a sad change in circumstances Rosie now needs to find another home. She needs a local home that can visit and get to her know her a few times before she moves to her new forever home. She is toilet trained but will need walking regularly. She walks really well on the lead and loves a good zoomie session off lead. She responds well to her name and will come back easily especially if you have a treat for her. She is very food oriented and can be a little bit cheeky and get food off the sides in the kitchen but has never shown any food aggression around people or other dogs. She absolutely loves treats and will sit and wait patiently to be given them! Even though she has three legs that doesn’t stop her from jumping around excited when her favourite people come through the door! Rosie can be an only dog but does enjoy other dogs company once she’s introduced to them so can live with other dogs. She hasn’t been cat or little furry tested in a home. Rosie can be a nervous girl due to her bad past experiences and can take some time coming around to new people but once she trusts you she is the most loyal lovely girl. Rosie has been around children regularly but is bouncy and energetic so would need to be 5+ and dog savvy. Rosie would fit in to an active home that has plenty of time for walks and after walk snuggles. She settles well in a car for travelling short distances. Young enough to learn about cat
Morgen is an 11 week old Bichon who after a timid start is turning into a typical mischievous puppy. He is adapting very well to the loss of his eye due to an accident and loves to play and cuddle. He has just discovered toys and enjoys a game of tug and chewing on his nylabone. He loves people and despite being initially very shy and timid when he arrived in rescue, he quickly found his paws.
Outside he’s only had limited contact as he is carried in a sling as not fully vaccinated. He does find the outside world a bit overwhelming at the moment but he is being taken out for short periods growing in length and is slowly getting used to being outside and adored by all who meet him.
He is not cat savvy but is young enough to learn but I’d say a placid dog savvy cat, we wouldn’t want to risk a cat swiping at him and possibly causing another injury.
He can be rehomed with sensible children 7 and up. He can be very timid and unsure at first so needs space to come around in his own time and not be overwhelmed with attention. He is also in baby shark mode due to teething so his new owners will need to re direct this behaviour.
He plays with his toys both alone and with others. He is in foster with a much larger dog so they are not great playmates although they get on very well.
He has a harness on every day to go in the puppy sling but not quite so sure of the lead yet, just a typical puppy that will need training and would benefit from attending puppy school.
Morgen sleeps in a crate next to foster mums bed. He is still super young so wakes up at least once during the night to toilet. It took some persuading for him to use the crate and he’s getting there now. We don’t think he had a positive experience with them previously and was probably shut in one for long periods after his injury. If his new home continues with a crate they must make it as positive as possible and not overuse.
He is absolutely fine and eats everything given to him.
Morgen has not had the best start in life thanks to a traumatic injury that resulted in the loss of his left eye. However he is ready to put all that behind him look forward to a lovely new life with special people who will see him for the loving boy he is. He is adapting really well to his new reality and really there is no difference between him and other puppies of his age, he’s bright, cuddly, playful and ready to chew everything in sight as he’s in full puppy teething mode!
Morgen would fit into a variety of situations, he can go as an only dog with plenty of doggy friends or with another playful, kind dog of a similar size who would be tolerant of a young pup. He will absolutely need people who are around for most of the day, he is far too young to be left alone for long. He will need people who are willing to put the work in with positive training so he becomes a well rounded adult. He is very shy and unsure at first so his people need to give him some time to find his feet but once he does he will want lots of cuddles so be prepared. Also please don’t apply if you’re not prepared to have your sleep interrupted for a very short time, he took a little while to settle at night and will wake once to toilet. He is the loveliest pup so you absolutely won’t mind as soon as he’s snuggled on your lap.

No cats Mikey arrived in his new foster home about 5 weeks ago. He is blind but may be able to distinguish a little between light and shade. Within a few days he had created a mental map of the house and garden and rarely bumps into anything. He is completely housetrained and there have been no accidents. In the garden he is meticulous about his toilet habits and takes his time choosing the right place. Out in the park he gleefully deposits his presence all over the place. Mikey is friendly when meeting other dogs but isn’t too keen at them running at his face so his foster pawrents get between any approaching dogs and his head and direct their attention elsewhere. As his nose is his main source of information about his surroundings he tends to lurch about wherever his nose sends him so he needs close lead control to stop him walking in front of you ! He mooches along happily with his nose to the ground most of the time. He enjoys the attention of people he meets when out and loves it when children make a fuss of him. At home he is happiest curled up next to his foster pawrents sleeping. Mikey is a very serious dog and doesn’t interact with toys much. his foster family plan to get him a ball with a bell in soon, to see if he will chase that. His favourite distraction is a beef shin bone with bits of meat stuffed in it and will spend a long time figuring out how to get the food out. Mikey sleeps on his upstairs bed and has to be woken up in the morning. He is very food oriented and can be found right behind his foster family if they are in the kitchen. Tayari is a 5 year old mini Poodle described by her foster family as a lovely little girl. She loves nothing more than to follow foster mum around and cuddle up next to her for a chat and cup of tea. Maybe a sneaky biscuit too but shhh don’t tell anyone. When new people come into the house she is very unsure of them and will run to a safe distance, occasionally she will bark until she feels comfortable, then she stops and gradually make her way back into the room. She can keep herself to herself but has a lot of love to give and will need her new pawrents to allow her time to adjust and approach when she is ready. Once settled and trusting she will approach to be picked up, where she will just snuggle up. She does give little kisses when she feels comfortable around you.
Tayari is not cat tested.
She can be rehomed with children aged 10 upwards.
Currently she doesn’t know how to play with toys, but foster mum is encouraging play time. Tayari will chase a ball in the garden which she is growing to love. In time we are sure she will find the joy of murdering a squeaky toy.
Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. She will wear a harness but panics any time the lead is picked up and does not currently like the pressure. She is practicing and playing with the harness on and a short lead trailing under supervision but it is going to take time for her to feel comfortable enough to explore the outside world and learn about adventures.
During the day she sleeps in the living room in a dog bed, or snuggled up on a chair/settee. During the night she sleeps in an open crate in the kitchen. When you put her to bed, she will initially whine but will settle all night.
House training is a work in progress. She will go outside if the door is open but needs a routine, lots of praise and treats when she does well.
She eats well around other dogs with no guarding, she will take treats from your hand once she trusts you.
Tayari needs a home with a resident dog to learn from. Her trust in humans is currently very fragile and the resident dog will help her be brave and to emerge from her shell to be the dog she should always have been. She would like a home with someone around most of the time so she can learn to trust and feel loved. She needs time to decompress and a family who will help her adjust.

Iris is a 3 Year old Cavashon described by her foster family as being good with people in the home however when new people come into the home she will bark, and back away a little until she knows they’re ok. She gets super excited when foster mum comes into the room and dances on her back legs. She loves the fuss, praise and of course a little treat.
Iris isn’t sure of toys, but foster mum is encouraging her to play and she will now play with a ball.
She is fine with a lead and harness on in the garden, but will need help to understand that this enables her to have lots of adventures outdoors.
She sleeps on a dog bed in the living room during the day, or beside you on the chair. During the night she sleeps in the kitchen in an open crate, and sleeps all night. She will have a little whimper when first put to bed, but then settles.
Iris is not cat or small furry tested.
Iris can live with children aged 8 and up.
She travels well in the car.
House training is a work in progress and Iris will take herself outside to toilet if the door is open.
Iris is good eating around other dogs; she doesn’t guard her food. And is learning to enjoy treats.
Iris can be homed with resident dog or as an only dog. She would fit in lovely to any home as long as it’s a patient home who understand that sometimes she will be a little unsure and may need time on her own to digest things. A family who will also give her lots of cuddles, when she needs them.

Herbert is a 5 year old poodle mix who is taking his time to work out the new world he has found himself in. He currently likes his own space but is taking it all in from a distance. He likes to surprise you by suddenly appearing wanting to know what you are up to.
With the resident dog it is a very different story. He is very playful with the other dogs in the garden but won’t play inside or if anyone is looking. He hasn’t had this chance before and is scared it will be ripped away from him or worse he will be told off.
He’s perfect with dogs and has never shown any aggression other than playful growls. He is also in foster with 2 cats and has paid no interest in them.
Herbert can live with dog savvy children 12 and over. Who will put no pressure on him and give him time to decompress and learn who it is to be a much loved pet.
He is currently fearful of men and his new family need to understand that this will improve in his own time and any new men in his life are going to be the last to be loved but when he does trust, he will with his whole heart.
He doesn’t currently play with toys but will chase the other dogs who have toys, so were sure he will catch on soon.
Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. Currently he will become flat to the ground and will either try and run or stay very still when presented with his harness and lead.
He sleeps in the dining room on a big comfortable cushion with lots of blankets (this is where he spends most of his time and this is his safe space). He is gated in there at night but other than that he has full access to downstairs and garden. He is 90% house trained and were sure once he’s settled he will be fine.
Treats and good food are all new to Herbert and he is taking treats from your hand and then running off with them not quite believing that it is all for him. He currently eats alone as he is easily bullied by others and the resident porky spaniel will eat all the food.
Herbert needs a very patient family with a resident dog who understands that he needs some time to settle and trust. He is getting more confident daily and is now ready for the next step in his journey to being loved and adored.

Rowling is a 5 year old Poodle Mix described by his foster family as friendly but still quite reserved. He follows his fosterer everywhere with a wagging tail but there is always that bit of a distance. He is improving every day and is never far away from foster mum. He can always be found laying near her feet and has just started to realise people are safe and is enjoying some gentle attention. With patient new owners we don’t doubt he will come out of his shell in no time.
He is loving the company of the other small dogs in his foster home and is watching and learning from them daily. Currently he does not know what toys are for and has never had anyone love him enough to play ball or give him positive rewards for anything.
He is not tested with cats or small furries.
He is currently in foster with dog savvy children aged 9-13 without any issue.
Toilet training is a work in progress and he is getting there he is learning from the resident dogs.
He currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs without issue.
He eats fine around the other dogs in his foster home and is beginning to learn what treats are.
Rowling would suit a patient home with a small calm resident dog/s who can teach him all about pet life, how to get belly scratches and that human hands are friendly. He is incredibly sweet and has blossomed so much in a short time, a cheeky personality is starting to show underneath the worry.

Nancy is a 6 year old very cute Caveshon who is currently very shy and anxious around people. She prefers to be with other dogs as the humans she’s encountered in her life so far have not been very kind to her. She has come a long way and is now ready to find that very special person who will show her not all humans are bad. Currently if approached she will sometimes move away but this is getting less and less and she is starting to enjoy being touched. She has met a few people outside the home and has allowed them to touch her but you can see she’s uncomfortable.
Nancy enjoys snuggling in a dog bed with the other dogs and loves to be outside in the garden which is currently her happy place. Although at night when she’s been to toilet, she cries to come back in so she can get back to her nice warm bed. She’s starting to realise that living in a house is lovely.
Nancy is absolutely fine with cats.
She can be rehomed with older teenage children.
Nancy has approached the dog toy box and sniffed and shown some interest in the toys. She watches the other dogs play fetch but hasn’t yet played, but were sure she will eventually.
Nancy will allow you to put a harness on but when you initially approach her with it, she will try to run off. This is being worked on with lots of praise and rewards. Out on walks she follows the others and gets her confidence from them but will stop and freeze if unsure. She just needs encouragement and time to decide if its safe to move on.
Nancy feels safest sleeping with the other dogs on foster mums bed .
Nancy has been absolutely brilliant with her toilet training. She follows the other dogs and goes outside, if the door is closed, she will go to the door to let you know she needs to go out.
Nancy will approach the other dogs bowls and has probably been used to her food being thrown on the floor and then all the dogs scrambling for food and eating from the floor all together. She’s finding it difficult getting used to eating out of a bowl so is currently using a flat plate or the food is put on the floor. This is being worked on and if another dog approaches she will just walk away so she is being supervised to make sure she’s eating enough.
Nancy needs a calm, quite home with patient and kind humans. A home with a special furry friend or two so that she can continue to learn from and go to them for comfort. They will show her that not all humans are bad and that they can be trusted. Nancy is happiest when she’s with other dogs and her tail constantly wags. She will need a kind and very patient person who has the time and love to allow Nancy to get used to her new world in her own time. Trusting is going to take time but the reward will be a life time of unconditional love and the knowledge that you will have helped heal a very precious little dog.

Dahl is a 6 year old Toy Poodle described by his foster family as a companion dog through and through, he loves everyone he meets and just wants to be stroked and cuddled at all times. He is a real velcro dog, and would be very suited to an owner who is looking for a true companion, he wants to sleep with you, and sit with you and would probably join you in the bath given half a chance!
He is not tested with cats or small furries.
He in foster with children aged 9-13 and has no issues with them, especially if they also give cuddles!
He hasn’t yet figured out what toys are for but I’m sure he would learn with some encouragement.
Dahl walks nicely on a lead.
He sleeps in his foster mums bed and is not the sort of dog who will be happy in a crate downstairs he wants to be close to his owner.
Toilet training is a work in progress and he is getting there and will continue to improve if his new family set him up for success.
He eats in the same room as 4 other dogs in the home and is fine, though can have the odd grumble if I naughty pup tries to take all his food.
Treats are quite new to him and let’s just say he takes them from you with much gusto and enthusiasm!
While Dahl would suit various types of home, THE most important thing for him is someone who is around most of the time and actively wants a close companion dog. He is the sort of chap that wants to go to the pub with you and on holiday with you and will follow you to the ends of the earth as long as he can be loved on. e would happily live with or without a resident dog.
