Shadow is a 1-year-old cavalier described by his foster mum as a real people lover. He loves a fuss and a cuddle.
He could be homed with dog savvy children as he is very playful and loving but beware as a puppy, he is still learning what are his toys are what are not. So if the children in the home leave toys and shoes etc lying around, they will be fair game.
Not cat or small furry tested
Shadow is just learning to play with toys and thinks any object he can get his paws on is a toy so he needs to learn what he can and can’t play with. He loves sharing toys with other dogs and is happy to carry a cuddly toy around with him.
Shadow is getting used to having a harness and lead on and learning lead walking in the garden. He is doing quite well and will need lots of practice and encouragement.
He currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs in the house, in a dog bed or on the sofa.
House training is a work in progress. There is usually an accident overnight in the kitchen but this is improving and he is being praised every time he toilets in the garden.
He enjoys his food and loves his treats taking them off to his bed to enjoy. He is learning to eat from just one bowl and knows to leave others alone when they are eating.
Shadow would love an active home where he can learn how to be a pet dog. He could be an only dog with doggy friends or live with other playful dogs. He would love someone to take him to puppy class and take him on walks where he can meet and play with other dogs.
