Flo is a 5-year old West Highland Terrier cross Bichon Frise, who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. This beautiful girl came from a breeder pregnant and did the most wonderful job raising her babies with such love and care. Flo deserves a forever home to call her own with her very own humans for her to love!

People – Flo loves people. She isn’t good with young children as they startle her, but lovely with older children and adults. Flo is happy to be groomed and touched.

Dogs – Flo is comfortable with dogs and likes to introduce herself to other dogs when out walking. She will need to have a doggy companion in her new home.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Flo enjoys plenty of cuddles. She loves to play chase, is fully housetrained in her foster home and can be left for a few hours. She has been known to chew up a few of her toys but nothing more than this. She will bark at noises from children outside the house but is happy in the company of older children. She loves belly rubs and sleeps on her foster mum’s bed at night and is happy in a crate when the door is left open.

Out and about – Flo loves her walks and her recall is good as she knows and trusts her foster family. She is fine in the car but has only needed to go on short journeys so far.

Type of home – Flo is looking for a home where her humans are home for either a morning or an afternoon. She would be suitable for someone who only works part of the day. A family where any children in the house are older and who are happy to let her up on the sofa for cuddles. Someone who is willing to continue with the training and socialisation she is receiving in her foster home. As an ex-breeding girl she may have accidents in her new home until she gets used to a different routine.

Eliza is a 3-year old Pomeranian who is being fostered in RCT South Wales. Eliza makes a big fuss and gets excited when you return after going out. She loves to get on the settee or bed and roll on her back with her legs in the air. She sits on her hind legs and wave her front paws at you which is very cute!

People – Eliza is fine with adults once she gets to know them but is nervous around new people. She does not live with children at the moment but should be ok with older, sensible children. Eliza loves to be cuddled and fussed.

Dogs – When she first came in to foster she was reactive with the resident dogs. Over time she has improved with the smaller dogs but is still wary of larger breeds. Eliza will only be rehomed where there is another small dog in residence.

Cats – Eliza tends to ignore cats

In the home – Eliza can be left for up to 3 hours with no issues. Eliza sleeps in a crate at night in the bedroom and is very good with no disturbances. Eliza is house trained. She loves to sit by you, and was absolutely fascinated by the telly for a while but she seems to have got used to it now.

Out and about – Eliza is new to walking on a lead and is very nervous. She tends to shy away from any people she meets. Eliza does not travel very well in the car and does suffer from car sickness.

Type of home – Eliza needs a quiet home with someone around a good part of the day. Eliza will need to be with someone experienced with dogs. Patience will be needed to allow Eliza to develop in her own time. We think she should be with another small dog of a similar age.

As with all young puppies, he has a battery life of around 30 minutes and needs a good hour to re-charge. When not sleeping he plays, eats and gets in to mischief. You will need to make sure you home is puppy proof and you love puppy kisses!

People – Flash loves all of his humans except little toddlers who may frighten him. He does not live with toddlers at present. Flash accepts all visitors without hesitation and is happy to play with and be cuddled by everyone.

Little Chloe is a 5-year old ex-puppy farm girl who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is learning how to be a family pet. All the normal household surroundings we take for granted are very strange to her but patience and love will help her to learn to accept them.

People – Chloe is happy around adults once trust is gained but has not been in the company of children. For this reason, she will only be re-homed with older children. Chloe is very affectionate and likes nothing more than being fussed once she has gained your trust.

Dogs – Chloe is happy around other dogs and must live with at least 1 other resident canine.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Chloe can be left for short periods with other dogs for company. Chloe is showing signs of being food dominant which is a characteristic of her history. She displays as hungry but is simply a fast eater following her past experience. She loves treats and is a very intelligent girl and can pick up commands from the third telling. She is fearful of loud noises, unexpected voices or movement and scared of human approach until she is familiar. Chloe’s housetraining is a work in progress. She is learning to use stairs and this must be supervised.

Out and about – Chloe does not travel well and has a tendency to be car sick. The outside world is a frightening place for her and her ventures into this scary world have been limited.

Type of home – Chloe must have humans around most of the time and her family must be able to demonstrate the patience she needs to lead-train. She isn’t keen on loud noises so a home with young or boisterous children would be unsuitable. Must have another dog in the home.

Bridgette is Miniature Schnauzer who is around 2 and a half years old. She is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales and is a timid little girl who is coming out of her shell. She is starting to trust humans again. Bridgette loves welcoming her foster family home. Sitting on laps and laying between her humans on the sofa is her favourite pastime.

People – Bridgette loves all humans when she gets to know you. People can touch her head and upper body but she is very nervous when touched around her back and lower body. We think she will be ok with older children.

Dogs – Bridgette is timid around new dogs but will relax after a time.

Cats – Yes

In the home – Bridgette is mischievous and pulls labels off things and has been known to destroy toys. She doesn’t like unexpected loud noises although she is used to household appliances now. She shows interest in TV if dogs are on but really dislikes any horses on there. Her housetraining is a work in progress.

Out and about – Bridgette will wear a harness and collar but lead training is a work in progress as she won’t walk with her lead on at the moment.

Type of home – She definitely needs another dog either a similar age or older. No bouncy pups please. A stay at home family would probably suit Bridgette and a family who will work with her lead training and house training. Her family must have time and be tolerant to her needs. We think people who have had ex-breeding dogs experience would be best for her and someone who won’t rush her and let her do things in her own time with guidance. Bridgette a lovely little girl who will thrive given time, patience and love.

Fostered: Wiltshire

Becky is a 3-year old Collie X who is being fostered in Wiltshire. She was found hiding under a bridge with an horrifically damaged leg in Romania. Sadly she had to be caught using a pole type catcher and this left her associating any restriction around her neck such as a collar and lead with pain. Once her leg was amputated she spent a long time in a pound which increased her fear of strangers. Her foster caters have worked hard to gain her trust and increase her confidence.

People – Initially, Becky was terrified of people and would not have a harness or lead on. Through patience and hard work of our fosterers, she is now happy to have a lead on and go for walks. She is very loving towards her foster mum and enjoys sleeping on the bed and having lots of rubs and cuddles.

Dogs – Becky adores other dogs and needs at least one to live with for confidence and play. She lives with a variety of forty other dogs in her foster home and is more confident when with them. She is not great with some of the bitches but loves the males, especially the ones the same size or bigger than her. She loves to play but can be bossy.

Cats – Becky is fine with cats and currently has cats in her foster home who she lives alongside with no issues.

In the home – Becky is toilet trained and fine in the home and travels well in the car. Potential adopters should be prepared to spend a lot of time with her to continue improving her confidence and building a bond with her.

Out and about – Becky is happy when on a walk and her missing limb does not hold her back. She currently enjoys running in to the back of her foster mummy’s legs though we’re not sure why but as she enjoys it, she should be allowed to continue doing this if she wishes to.

Type of home – Becky has had a traumatic life before coming in to our care but is now enjoying life. She does require a lot of love and patience but is incredibly loving once she trusts you. A large male dog is essential for her to live with to make her happy as can be!

Adorable Beatrice is a 3-year old Bichon Frise, who is being fostered in Newport. She is a former breeding dog who has made significant progress on the road to rehabilitation. She will need patient owners who will allow her time to build up a bond with them.

People – Beatrice is so much better with people than when she first arrived but she is still an extremely nervous dog. Whilst she will take treats, she cowers at human touch. She is exceptionally averse to having her legs touched as the puppy farmer used to grab her by the legs. Given time and patience, she will be more confident with being touched.

Dogs – She lives with a variety of dogs in her foster home but as weeks go by it is evident that she is just as happy without them. She is very nervous at meal times and needs to be fed on her own. Her past means she grabs at her bowl and drops food out the bowl to then eat it.

Cats – Beatrice is fine with cats and currently has two cats in her foster home who she lives alongside with no issues.

In the home – Beatrice is toilet trained and a happy and relaxed dog in the home. She’s able to be left for a few hours at a time and is not destructive. Whilst Beatrice has a little anxiety travelling in the car, this quickly subsides as she has assurance. At meal times, she is very vocal at her foster daddy as he is the one who has mainly prepared her meals. She’s much more placid when her foster mummy feeds her. However, given the chance, she will steal food from other dogs due to being a puppy farm dog and potential adopters might want to consider feeding her on her own and by hand initially.

Out and about – Beatrice walks well on a lead when she trusts you. She has quickly got to grips with a recall and happily plays, sniffs and runs off the lead and greets other dogs well. Initially, Beatrice had stiff limbs but with supplements to her diet and regular exercise, she’s now limbered up and agile. Beatrice loves walking and running in the forest for a couple of hours every day.

Type of home – She walks around 4 miles each day and has eventually started to run with other dogs which has helped her mobility. She needs owners that will be prepared to ensure she continues her daily walks and that she has a healthy diet and exercise regime. New owners must not expect too much from her too soon and she will need time to settle. A quiet and relaxed home would suit Beatrice best, with or without other dogs. Her house must be 100% secure otherwise she’s likely to escape because of her initial nervousness.

Tucker is about a year old now and is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Tucker is no ordinary cat Tucker is a super cat. He doesn’t know that he is a cat and thinks he’s a human hunter. He likes to stalk you and jump on you and chase you around the house. He will take any opportunity when he’s not sleeping or eating to find you and play. He has loads of energy which may obviously change when he is eventually let loose into the world. He is going to be an amazing hunter we just hope he doesn’t bring home any deer or buffalo. He is super boisterous and playtime with his foster mums’ cats and has to be closely monitored as he gets carried away. He doesn’t know he’s getting over excited and can hurt he just thinks everyone is a ruff and tuff boy just like him. When he is eventually quiet he is super cuddly and loves nothing more than snuggling up and purring away. This young man is going to be a very exciting addition to any household. He’s good with cat savvy dogs in fact one of his hobbies is riding foster mum’s jack Russel around the house. Life will not be boring with this young man. We recommend no small children, playful or brave resident cats and humans with a good sense of humour and adventure.

I says “Fren, I only doing you a nuzzle, you giving me scary hisses.” I am living with two doggos, who are ok, and not met any ickle humans, though I might like quiet ones. Foster Mum says I have pretty eyes, like liquid gold, but I bet she says that to all the kiities I fink she is kitty fickle.”

Gorgeous little Phoebe is around a year old and is now looking for her forever home she is described by her foster mum as a funny wee cat. She loves cwtches and sitting on your shoulders to nuzzle your earlobes. She is an expert explorer and climber and after a time to settle would love to be able to explore the garden and climb some trees. She’s not so keen on other cats but would happily ignore them if they are not too over the top. She’s not met any small people yet but we think she could cope with them if they were cat savvy after all the more human slaves for the cat the better. Phoebe is currently living with a dog and is not bothered so cat savvy dogs would be fine.

People – Rosemary is so much better with people than when she first arrived but she is still a very nervous dog with people she doesn’t know. She will allow her foster mum to brush and stroke her but this has taken many months and may take new owners a long time to build a bond with her.

Dogs – Rosemary adores other dogs and needs at least one to live with for confidence and play. She lives with a variety of dogs in her foster home and is more confident when with them. She is very nervous at meal times and needs to be fed on her own. Her past means she grabs at her bowl and drops food out the bowl to then eat it.

Cats – Rosemary is fine with cats and currently has two cats in her foster home who she lives alongside with no issues.

In the home – Rosemary is crate trained and happy to go in and out as she uses it for security when she feels anxious. Her crate training means she travels well in the car. She is fine to be left for up to two hours, provided she has doggie company. Rosemary loves nothing more than to cwtch up with people she trusts, though does tend to favour her foster mummy, but foster daddy gets lots of cuddles from her when he’s the only choice. She gets incredibly excited when you come home and will paw at you the moment you sit down. As she was so overweight, she likes to be picked up rather than jump up. Rosemary is mainly okay in the house, though does occasionally wee indoors so potential owners will need a ready supply of puppy pads. Being in a home is a new experience for her so she loves to investigate and has chewed through many wires though this is becoming less frequent an event as she works her way through appliances.

Out and about – Rosemary walks well on a lead when she trusts you and will walk beside her foster mummy off lead as she seeks lots of reassurance. When out with her foster daddy, she tends to be a bit less in need of assurance and loves to run and play with her doggie companions. She now is confident with having her harness on which is essential for her to wear in a new home as her nervousness will see her initially run off until she begins to trust you.

Type of home – Rosemary was very overweight initially but has worked hard to lose over 2.5 kg. New owners must be prepared to closely monitor her weight. Other dogs are a must to give her confidence and to continue her exercise. She now walks around 4 miles each day and has eventually started to run with other dogs which has helped her mobility and continued weight loss. Rosemary had awful gum disease through neglect and a few teeth have fallen out as her improved diet began to remove the plaque that was holding them in. She’s had a further seven rotten teeth removed when she had her dental so now has disease free gums and manages her food quite well. She needs owners that will be prepared to ensure she continues her daily walks with other dogs and that she has a healthy diet and exercise regime. New owners must not expect too much from her too soon and she will need time to settle. Her house must be 100% secure otherwise she’s likely to escape because of her initial nervousness.

Jac, was Pumba, is a 10 month old Westie cross fostered in RCT, South Wales. He was born in rescue last year but unfortunately had to be returned to us. He is a typical puppy with a lot of energy and is looking for a busy family home.

People – Jac loves all humans big and small so can easily be rehomed to a family. In fact a busy house would be preferable as he likes to be kept occupied with lots of different playmates. He loves to play ball and will return it to you to throw again and again. He enjoys a brush and is happy to be be stroked and get attention from anyone who will give it. Once he’s worn out he likes nothing more than a cuddle and sleep on your lap.

Dogs – Jac is a social dog who would like at least one active playmate in his new home. He loves to play and would like an equally active brother or sister in his new home to keep him entertained. Jac is happy to meet other dogs on a walk.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Jac is housetrained and is not destructive at all. He loves his toys and has a good appetite. Jac sleeps in the kitchen overnight where he has slept quietly but would be equally happy sleeping in your bedroom. Jac would like his humans around as much as possible as he isn’t fussed on being left.

Out and about – Jac travels well in the car and is a joy to walk. He will need regular exercise to tire him out and is happy to walk come rain or shine.

Noelle is an 8-week old Cavalier King Charles cross puppy who is being fostered in the West Midlands. She is a wonderful, well rounded little bundle of mischief and fun. As with all young puppies, she has a battery life of around 30 minutes and needs a good hour to re-charge. When not sleeping she plays, eats and gets in to mischief. You will need to make sure you home is puppy proof and you love puppy kisses!

People – Noelle loves all of her humans except little toddlers who frighten her. She does not live with young children at present. Noelle excepts all visitors without hesitation and is happy to play with and be cuddled by everyone.

Dogs – Noelle currently lives in a foster home full of dogs young and old and she interacts well with them all.

Cats – Noelle has not met any cats but we think she will be fine.

In the home – As a young puppy, Noelle is not housetrained although she is starting to stick to a pattern. She does not distinguish between soft toys and electric cables so your home will need to be puppy proof. She sleeps in her own space and settles well at night.

Out and about – Noelle is still too young to have ventured outdoors.

Type of home – She would fit into a wide range of homes. As a pup she would need someone around most of the time to continue her training and socialising. She can live with sensible children but not too young as puppy teeth hurt if she nibbles you. She would like lots of chew toys and things to keep her active as she grows. Somewhere warm and cosy to recharge her battery is a must. She can live with another dog or dogs but she may be too bouncy for old dogs.

Please say a quiet hello to our very gently lady DAISY. Daisy is between 3 to 5 years old and was living rough for quite a while being fed by a kind lady until the weather started getting colder. She is a very gently soul and has taken her time to settle in her foster home. She likes to find a spot she feels safe and stays there watching the world go by. She is very quiet and clean and no trouble at all. Her foster mum says she loves a fuss once she trusts you and gives a look of disappointment when you stop. Her ideal home would be no young children a quiet home with her adopters around a lot for her to get to know and trust them and they will need to be very patient in gaining her trust but when they do they will be rewarded. Daisy is a beautiful girl and will blossom in the right home. She is great with other cats and dogs

Fluffy (male) and Bitsy (Female) are around 3 or 4 years old and are looking for a home together. Bitsy greets you with head bumps and really enjoys head, and ear rubs. She enjoys her food and sometimes shares with Fluffy. She loves exploring and never tires of finding new hiding places. Bitsy can be a little shy, until she gets to know you. Fluffy (I call him Fluffety Buffety) adores his cuddles. He will happily let you carry him around like a baby whilst you do your chores. He also loves his food and is not averse to pinching some of Bitsy’s too – but only if she lets him! Wherever Fluffy leads, Bitsy is happy to follow. Mr Darcy is a gorgeous 8-month old Cavalier King Charles spaniel who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He loves the beach and is eager to spend hours on walks exploring the countryside. He’s then happy to come home and settle on your lap for a well-earned cuddle.

People – Mr Darcy loves all people and he loves nothing more than a cuddle on your lap. He’s only a pup so slightly older children who he won’t knock over while playing would be better.

Dogs – He loves the company of other dogs. He currently lives with other dogs of different sizes and ages without issue. Mr Darcy does sometimes grumble if he’s playing with a high value toy and another dog tries to pinch it. He’s fine with his meals.

In the home – Mr Darcy can get a bit of a stressed and will cry if left alone. He would like his humans around for most of the time and another dog for company.

His life revolves around eating, playing and sleeping and he is accomplished in all these arts. People – Billy loves all humans and sees them all as play buddies and personal slaves. He meets a different person most days and loves them all. He loves to shred newspaper. He runs towards you when called (providing what he is doing isn’t more interesting!), tail wagging and loves attention.

Out and about – Billy has not been out into the wide world yet but his new family will have to be committed to training and socialisation in many different situations. One thing Billy does enjoy is racing around the garden in his foster home so a decent sized secure garden is a must.

Type of home – Someone around much of the time with plenty of time to spend training and bringing Billy on. A household where they understand that to get a good adult dog a lot of time needs to be spent with the puppy while they are growing. He is a bright dog and will benefit from lots of opportunities to learn and try new experiences. He loves company and we would like to see him with one or more other dogs in the home to play with and learn from. Obviously, a secure garden because he is very inquisitive and moves very quickly. It is a condition of adoption that Billy attends puppy socialisation classes and you will be asked about classes available in your area.

Dionne is a 3-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who is being fostered in Newport, South Wales. She is an ex-puppy farm girl who we think will make an amazing pet. Dionne isn’t your typical small cavalier. She is rather large in height and size weighing about 13 kilos but is slim. Dionne has just recently come out of season whilst being in her foster home.

People – Dionne craves human touch. She loves a fuss and to be stroked. Her favourite place to be is right beside you. Dionne might be a little bit shy at first but soon comes round and then her tail is constantly wagging and she will follow you everywhere. Dionne is currently living with a 5-year old child who she loves. She will go for a fuss and a cuddle without hesitation.

Dogs – Dionne lives with two female Cavaliers and loves nothing more than to cuddle up to them. She has also met quite a few dogs since being in foster and has been fine with all of them as long as they aren’t too boisterous and then she will tell them off. Dionne is very food driven and will think nothing of knocking other dogs out of the way to get to it. She loves company and chilled out dogs as she copies their behaviour.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Dionne has been left for up to a maximum of 3 hours and she has had no problems. Dionne can be a little but jumpy with the vacuum cleaner but is fine with the washing machine and tumble dryer etc. She loves to rest her head on you at every opportunity.

Out and about – Work in progress. We are currently managing a few steps with a lot of persuasion and encouragement so this will definitely be an area that needs work but we are sure in time she will learn to love a walk.

Type of home – Dionne would love a home with children over 5 with another calm resident dog. Someone who works part time and who is willing to dedicate the time to continue with her toilet and lead training.

Type of home – Jess is an active girl and needs a home where she gets regular long walks. She would also be happier with another doggy companion. Her humans may be able to work part time as she has been fine when left for a little while in her foster home.

Eleanor is a 5-year old Cavalier who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She was rehomed by us earlier in the year but has come back in through no fault of her own. She likes nothing more than to cuddle up on settee next you. Eleanor is a little shy but once she trust she is fine. Eleanor will sleep on bed with you or downstairs. Eleanor is overweight so will need regular exercise and correct diet.

People – She is happy to be stroked by people she knows and trusts but does not like you in her face or kisses on the head. She is not aggressive in any way but will shy away if uncertain. As she can be a little shy we will only rehome her with older children.

Dogs – Eleanor is fine with other dogs. She need another cavalier or small breed dog for company in her new home.

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Eleanor is fully house trained. She will sleep on your bed or downstairs. She is not destructive. She hasn’t played with any toys but once her weight down she will feel much happier and have more energy. Eleanor is not food aggressive. And is fine to be left for a few hours with company of another dog or two.

Out and about – Eleanor is fantastic out on walks but can be spooked by loud noises. Eleanor is nervous at vets but no different to most other dogs

Type of home – Eleanor will benefit with living with people who are willing to put in the time with her. She will need regular exercise to help her lose her excessive weight. She will benefit from having another dog or 2 for company.
