Netta D2024-85

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Dog savvy cats
  • Patient family

Netta is a 2 year old Long Haired Dachshund described by her foster family as a little pocket rocket. A beautiful sweet little dog who hasn’t had the chance to be a puppy until now. She can be shy and nervous, but when she feels she can trust you and she’s comfortable and knows her routine, she will follow you around to see what your up to. Netta likes to know what’s going on. She will also take herself off and explore on her own enjoying nothing more than a good sniff in the garden. She likes people and loves to come up for a cuddle but she also likes her own space and doggie company preferring dogs her own size.

Netta hasn’t been out on a walk as she isn’t fully vaccinated. She will allow you to put a harness on her but is unsure how to walk on a lead and is practicing in the garden.

She’s not a fan of cats. She can be in the same room as one but as soon as the cat moves she will chase them.

She can be homed with older quiet, sensible children, who will respect her boundaries and will know when to leave her alone and give her space.

Netta is just starting to play with toys, she’s unsure of squeaky toys, but I’m sure she’s going to love them in the future. She will also play with the other dog in the home. When she gets zoomies  she will run around the house and garden she’s so fast she’d give Usain Bolt a run for his money. She’s hilarious and her cheeky side is just starting to come out.

Netta sleeps in a crate with another dog and sleeps all night and has been as good as gold

Netta has been dry all night and is almost house trained. The patio door open all the time and she will go outside on her own but if it’s shut she can sometimes have the odd accident. She just needs lots of opportunities to go out the garden.

Netta enjoys her food and prefers to eat with the other dogs. She will approach the other dogs bowls as she doesn’t understand her food is all hers. Once she realises the bowl of food is all hers she doesn’t pay any attention to the other dogs, she’s a fast learner.

Netta is a beautiful, funny, cheeky, playful little dog who needs to be with another dog. A dog she can cuddle up to and play with. She needs to live in a calm home with a family who are kind and loving and will let her be the puppy she hasn’t been able to be. They need time and patience to play, cuddle and to show her the world around her ,she needs to be able to explore as she absolutely loves to sniff. She needs doggie adventures with a little brother or sister and a family who will shower her with so much love that all her shyness and nervousness will melt away.

Christina D2024-84

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with another sensible dog
  • Is scared of cats
  • Older children
  • Family who will encourage and not push her

Christina is a 5 year old mini long-haired dachshund. Described by her foster family as the most adorable, beautiful little dog who will steel your heart. She can be nervous and shy around new people but once she trusts you, she loves nothing more than to follow you around hoping you’ll sit down and pick her up for a cuddle and doggie kisses. Once she’s chosen you for her friend she will never be far away.

She has just started to venture out into the big world and is unsure of people she meets out on a walk she will either sit and watch them or move out of their way.

She’s a quiet dog who’s confidence is slowly growing as she gets used to this new world she’s found herself in.

Christina is afraid of cats but with encouragement from the resident dog will chase her.

Christina is really inquisitive around children. She feels comfortable in their company especially ages 8+ who are happy to smooth her and give her tummy tickles.

Before arriving in foster  Christina had never seen a toy and has not yet shown any interest in playing with them. She needs a special little friend to show her how to play.

Christina allows you to put on a harness and lead and will then follow you. She can be overwhelmed once she’s out in the big wide world and needs gentle encouragement to walk but as long as her humans are close for reassurance she’s happy to explore slowly. It’s important to remember that she can be fearful of dogs whilst out on a walk especially if they run towards her or try to greet her so socialising with other dogs slowly is a must and making other walkers aware she’s scared will help not push her into a panic.

Christina sleeps on my bed with the other dogs in the home but chooses to snuggle up to foster mum instead of them. She sleeps all night is completely dry doesn’t snore and isn’t a wiggle bum.

Christina is house trained as long as she has regular access to the garden.

Christina eats with the other dogs in the home. She will give them a little growl if they approach her bowl but the resident dogs have quickly learned to leave her alone. She adores food and treats.

Christina can be rehomed as an only dog or with knowledgeable owners and a quiet laid back dog. She’s  picky when it comes to choosing her doggie friends so positive introductions are a must. She needs a home with kind gentle loving humans who will have the time and patience to let her come out of her shell in her own time and won’t rush her. She hasn’t had the best life and hasn’t experienced much of the outside world and we would love her to experience all the things only a dog could dream of. She deserves her very own special family who will shower her with so much love. We know when she finally sees the world in a more positive way she will be the most incredible little girl who will reward you with the best doggie kisses.

Raiven D2024-65

  • To be adopted on an assisted adoption

Raiven is a 5 year old Schnauzer who is fine with people in the home, she’s a lovely young girl, she can be shy and a little nervous of new people, she likes her coat brushed and don’t mind her eyes being cleaned. She will have cuddles but on her own terms. She is good travelling in a car, she just falls asleep.

Raiven has a heart murmur and all costs for this will be covered by the charity

She is a shy but nervous young girl, who will come out of her shell once settled in her forever home.

She will play with toys on her own on her own terms, I do encourage her to play every day.

She is good on a lead and harness in the garden, but a little more training and encouragement is required.

She sleeps in an open crate in the kitchen during the night and during the day she sleeps wherever she feels.

She is house trained, but may have an accident now and then.

Raiven eats well around other dogs, no resource guarding. She is gentle when taking a treat from your hands/ Fingers.

A quiet home or older people would suit Raiven.

Georgia D2024-67

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can live with another dog
  • Older dog savvy children

Georgia is a 7 year old Shih Tzu described by her foster family as a precious little lady who loves cuddles on her own terms. She can be a little shy of new people who come into the home and will give a little bark and will then go off and watch from a safe distance until she feels safe .

She will play with a ball if you throw it and enjoys bringing it back to you. She has a ball which she has had since a puppy and this will go with her on her adventures into her forever home.

She hasn’t been tested with cats or small furries, but is good with the other foster dog in the house.

She is good with children aged 7 upwards, but they must be dog savvy.

She loves to be smoothed, and don’t mind being brushed gently and having her eyes cleaned.

She walks nice on a lead and harness in the garden but when she has had enough she will just plonk herself on the floor and refuse to move anymore.

Georgia sleeps in the kitchen in an open crate during the night. During the day she enjoys sleeping on a dog bed in the living room or wherever she decides to sleep.

She is house trained but has had the odd accident now and then.

Georgia eats fine around other dogs, no resource guarding. But when it comes to treats, she will rush hers and try and take another dogs, but if you say no she will move away.

Georgia can be homed as an only dog or live with another. She would suit a family with dog savvy children who are not overly active as she enjoys being a lady of leisure. She would however fit into any family who will lobe her and heap praise on her for being a good girl.

Bunny D2024-64

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Pawrents with knowledge of the breed and their quirks

Bunny is an 18 month old Toy Poodle described by her foster family as ever so sweet, but a little nervous. She is young and with positive exposure to new things and lots of encouragement there’s no reason she won’t come out of her shell and enjoy all that life now has to offer her. She is initially nervous when meeting new people but is friendly once she realises no one is going to hurt her and she will even enjoy a little lap cuddle.

Not cat or small furry tested.

Fine with children, the children in the foster home are aged 9-12.

She really enjoys toys, especially making soft toys mysteriously explode.

She’s not had her 2nd vaccine so has only been out and about to the vets but she walks nicely on a lead when she attends and has been practicing in the garden.

Bunny sleeps in a puppy pen downstairs, she chose to sleep there and the door is always left open, though she does occasionally sleep in the armchair if one of the other dogs hasn’t claimed it first!

House training is going very well, she still has the very occasional accident but with a good routine and positive reinforcement she should have it 100% cracked in no time.

She can be a bit growly with other dogs if they try to shove their head in her bowl when she is eating but foster mum said she would be the same if someone tried to take her food. She is fed with the other dogs but foster mum just hovers to make sure everyone behaves or she is fed in a different room or behind a baby gate.

Bunny would suit an experienced home, with someone with experience of toy breeds and their quirks, or who can show they have done sufficient research. She would be best homed with another small breed dog who she can learn from and cuddle with. She would suit an older or family home with patient pawrents.

Toto D2024-62

  • Can be an only dog or live with a playful resident dog
  • Great with cats
  • Older children
  • Active family
  • Would really benefit from puppy classes

Toto is an active, cheeky and funny 12 Month old Schnauzer cross who has found himself in rescue due to no fault of his own. He loves people and playing and will be a fun addition to any family. He has lots of energy but once these have run down he will happily cwtch on the settee for quiet time.

Toto likes to meet new people when out and about and is really happy and friendly. He likes to meet other dogs but is lacking in doggy social skills. Like humans Toto does not welcome other dogs coming into his face uninvited and will bark to show his displeasure. His owners need to advocate for him whilst he learns manners but also encourage good manners. This will come he just doesn’t appear to have been set many boundaries or met many other dogs when out on a walk.

He loves car rides with the window open so he can sniff the air and try to work out where this adventure is taking him, but he must be safely secured at all times in a car appropriate harness and lead.

Toto is great with cats they don’t interest him in the least with the resident cat even sitting on his head.

Toto can be homed with children aged 7 and above just due to his energy levels and lack of manners. He will love to play and go on adventures and be someone’s very best friend for life.

Toto will play with toys all day long on his own or with humans.

He is very good to walk on a harness and lead and recently attended a puppy class where the trainer said he would make someone a cracking pet as he is keen and quick to learn. He was initially barky and standoffish but as the class progressed, he just got on with things and came very close to winning in the fastest sit competition. He has been practicing his recall in a secure field and after initially super excited zoomies was very good.

Toto sleeps in a cage downstairs and sleeps all night.

Toto is fully house trained.

Toto is currently fed away from the other dogs as he is not good in sharing. He will share treats but not his main meal. He also loves a carrot! and this love of food really helps with his training.

Toto would like a home with an active family who will attend puppy class or give him the training he needs to learn some doggy manners. He is a lovely little dog and can be an only dog or live with another. He needs lots of adventures which will help tire him out leading to amazing snuggles of an evening.

Willow D2024-57

  • Resident dog
  • Dog savvy children
  • Patient and loving owners

Willow is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster family as the most, gentle, sweet natured dog who has been an absolute pleasure to foster. She hasn’t been out on a walk yet as she’s not fully vaccinated. She’s well behaved and a fast learner showing real signs of intelligence.

Willow likes humans and dogs alike and is desperate to trust and be your friend. She is unsure sometimes if you approach her and try to smooth her, but she will allow you to do so. Once she trusts you, she’s more relaxed and will follow you around and approach especially if you have food. When visitors come, she will watch them and come up for a little sniff and go back in her dog bed and watch.

The way to her Willow’s heart is definitely food, she adores food and her cheeky side is starting to come out. She will put her paws on the kitchen table and stretch her head to see what you’re eating and if you’re not watching I have no doubt she would eat your dinner.

Willow would be fine with a dog savvy cat

Willow hasn’t met any children but as she has a gentle nature, we would say she would be fine with older sensible children who would respect her boundaries and know when to give her space.

She is starting to take notice of the dog toys and enjoys carrying them around. She has started to try and play with the resident dogs and dogs that have visited the home. She is starting to do the play bow and wanting to encourage play.

Willow’s lead and harness walking is a work in progress. She has only recently been spayed and has been practicing in the home. She allows foster mum to put on the harness and has been walking out in the garden. She’s a good girl and treats definitely help.

Willow sleeps all night and doesn’t snore. She sleeps in a dog bed at the side of foster mums bed. She sleeps all night and is dry being as good as gold.

Willow’s house training is nearly there and she has only had a few accidents she. She will either pace back and forth or go to the back door to let you know she needs to go out.

Willow is absolutely fine with food around other dogs.

Willow needs a home with another dog and someone who is home most of the time. She is the most precious dog and deserves only the best. She needs a home with someone who is kind, loving and patient and someone who will not rush her but give her as much time as she needs to completely come out of her shell. She is already amazing but when she does flourish, she is going to be the most incredible dog and her new owners will be the luckiest people in the world. She needs someone who will go that extra mile to make sure she gets to experience the life only a dog could dream of.PS Willow said dog treats are a must 🐾🐾

Birdie D2024-55

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Not cat tested
  • Oder dog savvy children
  • Patient home who will help build her confidence

Birdie is a 4 year old American Cocker Spaniel described by her foster family as a very shy but precious little lady with the most beautiful soul. She would love a quiet home where not too many demands are placed on her until she gets a bit more confident and loves her forever family as much as they will love her. She has not had the best start in life but we are determined she will have an amazing future.

She is very shy but will wag her tail from across the room and does a little dance when you come in from being out. She lets you stroke her but is still quite nervous and wary of humans so new parents must go slow to start. She has met new people coming into the home and will go into her open crate until she feels safe to come out and say hello.

Vet history to be discussed.

Birdie is good with other dogs but untested with cats. She currently sleeps in a puppy pen and will sleep all night dreaming of all the new adventures she will have.

She can be homed with older children due to her being a sensitive soul. She is in foster with dog savvy children aged 9-12.

Birdie likes toys and chews but mostly she just takes the toys and other random objects to her bed where she hoards them like a dragon hoards gold.

Birdies walking is very much a work in progress. As an ex breeding dog she has never had the joys of going walkies and the amazing sniffs of the outside world. She is practicing in the garden but will currently sink to the floor unsure of what she is being asked and scared of doing the wrong thing. This will come in time when she feels safe and has bonded with her forever loving family.

House Training is a work in progress she is almost there and a routine really helps her.

Birdie is a real picker with her food but is learning that good food comes often and she is allowed to enjoy it. She is very polite with her food around the other dogs.

Birdie needs a quiet home with a resident dog that will give her time to decompress and help build confidence her confidence with lots of positive reinforcement. A home that won’t place lots of demands on her and allow her to come out of her shell. Currently all she wants is lots of gentle strokes, a comfy bed and food.

Maisie Cat C2024-05

6 months old

• INDOOR CAT

• CAN LIVE WITH GENTLE CATS

• CAN LIVE WITH CAT SAVVY DOGS

• NEEDS PATIENT AND UNDERSTANDING OWNERS

OLDER SENSIBLE CHILDREN ONLY

Maisie is a very energetic young cat who approaches life head first and with full on enthusiasm! She is a sophisticated, well-travelled girl with her own passport but feels it’s time to settle down and find her forever family.

She’s sweet and cuddly and loves to play with feather and ball toys on sticks, especially if there’s a bell attached.

She might benefit from a feline friend of a similar age to bounce off but can be an only fur baby to an attentive doting family.

She’s blind so requires a lot of patience and understanding, she loves to play but can be a bit rough at times so not ideal with young children in the home.

She’s used to living with dogs and cats but she is quite vulnerable so they can’t be too boisterous.

Maisie has yet to learn that legs aren’t cat trees but she’s such a smart cookie she’ll soon learn 🙂 She likes her decor minimalist or at least lock your nik naks away to keep them safe from her as she can be a whirlwind 🌪️

Maisie needs to be an indoor cat but she does appreciate basking in a conservatory or catio in the summer 🌞 She’s also diligent in making sure her humans have a good face wash every day 🐱

Maisie needs patience and dedication in her new home but she will repay your commitment with love, affection and hours of fun 🐱🙂

Tigger Cat C2024-04

10 years old

CALM CATS ONLY

DOG FRIENDLY

FINE WITH GENTLE CHILDREN

BENGAL CROSS

Tigger must be an indoor cat or only let out into an enclosed garden or catio.

Tigger is a lovely natured, very affectionate love bug. He loves nothing more than sitting on you, staring lovingly into your eyes and giving you a head rub. He has adapted quickly to his foster home and his quirky character has shown itself. Sometimes he will chat to you, sometimes his kitten side will come out and he’ll play with a feather toy or laser pen.

When he’s feeling sleepy he gently takes his blanket in his mouth and kneads with his paws, dribbling with happiness as he drops off to sleep 💤💤

Tigger likes attention and as an indoor cat he will need a lot of stimulation and company. A fully enclosed garden or catio if possible would be ideal.

Tigger loves being part of the family. When he’s had enough he’ll take himself off for a snooze.

He’s a good clean boy with his litter tray and isn’t at all destructive.

Tigger is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, uses a scratching post and is up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Coco D2024-50

  • Could be an only dog
  • Could live with a calm dog who doesn’t mind sharing
  • Children 8 and over
  • No cats

Coco is a 6 year old cocker Spaniel currently in foster in a family household with adult and teenage children. She has bonded with them all although initially she would bark if someone came into the room. She is still wary if someone unfamiliar visits but she soon settles and if you’re lucky she will bring you a sock or slipper as welcome gift. She adores her fosterers teenage daughter who is always first choice for a cuddle on the sofa.

Coco finds herself in foster through no fault of her own but did not attend any puppy class or receive a lot of socialisation with unknown dogs. She loves her walks but can be a bit vocal when meeting people and other dogs especially if the dogs are bigger than her.

Coco is a very affectionate and attentive dog once she gets to know you. She loves a cuddle on the sofa or in her humans bed. She is starting to show her cheeky side and will steal socks and slippers and bring them to you. She’s
not at all destructive she just likes to collect them.

Coco chases the resident cat so cannot be homed with cats or small furries.

Coco is anxious around small children. She is not aggressive but does bark at them so can only be homed with dog savvy children over 8.

Coco prefers to interact with humans rather than the resident dog. She doesn’t play much with toys but she does love to play fetch with a ball. She has been fine around the other dog but she’s not really a fan of sharing attention.

Coco sleeps in bed with the teenage daughter. She sleeps all night without a peep. She loves to watch TV before going off to sleep and is a big fan of the programme QI. As soon as she hears the theme tune she tootles off upstairs to bed.

Coco is fully housetrained.

Coco loves her food and would steal from the other dogs so is fed separately. She is learning to wait for treats.

Coco loves her walks (except when it’s raining) so would like a fairly active home but one where there isn’t too much hustle and bustle. Someone who would have the time to work on her outdoor training. She did walk off lead in her previous home so working on this might help her to be less vocal when meeting other dogs. She currently suffers from separation anxiety so someone who is home a lot and willing to work on this with her too. She is a bit of Princess who loves her humans attention so she would prefer to be an only dog or could live with a calm gentle dog who doesn’t mind sharing. She is a delight to foster. She’s an absolutely adorable dog who has so much love to give.

Larry D2024-49

  • Can be an only dog with someone around most of the time
  • Can live with other dogs
  • Children 5 and over
  • Wants to attend puppy class

Larry is a bouncy 6 month old Bichon described by his foster mum as a darling little puppy who loves meeting everyone and is always ready with nose nudges. He likes nothing better than playing and making people do what he wants by way of a nose nudge.

He is very playful and loves having people to play with. He is also finding his cheeky side and if he thinks you’re not looking he will run off with your pyjamas or any paper you may put down. He’s very fond of mums slippers and especially hiding them or taking his off to his basket to lie on them. (brave puppy).

Larry has picked up bad habits off the resident dog and has been enjoying chasing the cat who tells him off in no uncertain terms.

He would be fine with children over 5 and in fact would be beneficial as he’d make a lovely best friend for adventures and games and to show him more of this wonderful world he’s only now finding out about.

Larry plays with toys alone or with anyone who will play with him and loves a ball.

He has not yet been walked but has worn a harness and lead to the vets and was fine.

He currently sleeps at the bottom of foster mums bed at night or in his bed in the living room in the day.

House training is a work in progress.

Larry eats alone due to his greedy Foster sister. He will take a treat happily and isn’t greedy.

Larry would flourish in a family home who can help him in all the adventures he is ready to go on. He takes every experience in his stride with enthusiasm and is so excited about meeting his new forever home and start his wonderful new life. He can be homed with or without another dog but would be good if person works from home as he hasn’t really been left alone. He would also benefit from attending puppy school.

Arawn D2024-40

  • Can be an only dog or live with another
  • Sensible children
  • Loves to go walkies
  • Wants to go to puppy school

Arawn is an 8 month old Cavapoo described by his foster mum as a real lover of people of all kinds both in and out of the home. He is absolutely lovely to have in the home. He has a nice energy about him that isn’t too frantic but he’s not lazy either. He will take himself off to chill in a bed when he’s tired or he might decide to curl up next to someone on the sofa.

He hasn’t chewed anything he shouldn’t yet but he’s still just a puppy so that nawty side might still emerge. He has loved meeting all the visitors and is happy for their attention. Being the sociable little guy he is though he does absolutely love human company and struggles with being left alone at home so this will need to be worked on by building up his time without his people in a slow structured way until he feels confident that he can trust they will always come back. He has been very happy to meet all kinds of people young and old. he is very affectionate and loves to be loved.

He hasn’t been around cats but I think he is young enough to learn especially if it was a dog savvy cat.

He can be homed with children 5 and over as he is a sociable little guy once he gets past his initial shyness. He has met children out and about and was happy to be petted, he doesn’t mouth and he is just a gentle chilled little guy. He can be a little skittish and shy at first so this should be taken into consideration so he’s not overwhelmed.

Arawn will play with the resident dog when the old lady feels like it or he will amuse himself with his toys and occasional zoomies. He is not too over the top in his style of play but really good at interacting with other dogs.

Arawn loves to go out on a walk. He is just a beginner at going for walks but he’s pretty good on a lead and harness, he loves to sniff ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING though so work needed on keeping him going whilst giving him ample time to have his sniffs. He has been out and about walking to several new places including the coffee shop, cafe and pub and he was a well behaved sociable angel each time.

Arawn sleeps all night from around 9.30 to 8 the next morning in a covered crate in foster mum’s room.

He is not completely housetrained but not far off, he is still just a puppy and accidents will happen especially as he gets used to new surroundings. He doesn’t ask to go out yet but given plenty of opportunity he does his business outside.

Arawn eats in his crate so the resident dog doesn’t steal his food but they have treats together and he has been fine.

Arawn is the type of chap who could fit into a variety of different homes, with or without children, quiet or more active, a family or a couple, with or without a resident dog or cat etc. Once he gets over his initial shyness and skittishness, he is a happy little guy thrilled to be with you. He is not overly energetic but not lazy either and he will really love people who will go out for walks and adventures with him. He travels fine in the car. What he does need is further reward based training, consistency and plenty of human company, especially at first. He will need people who will adore him and allow him the time to decompress. He is still just a puppy and young enough to learn and adapt. He is just the most adorable fellow and will repay your love a hundredfold. He would also love to go to puppy classes.

April D2024-43

  • Can be an only dog if owners home most of the time
  • Can also live with another dog
  • Children 8 and over
  • Not cat tested
  • Semi active family

April is a 6 Year old Cavalier described by her foster mum as a happy bouncy and sociable little girl with the waggiest tail, who adores humans and other dogs.

April adores humans and loves human attention she is forever wagging her tail when she meets them. She will follow her foster mum around the house to see what delights she may be cooking In the kitchen and she snuggles down next to her for cuddles and kisses on the sofa at every opportunity.

April has seen a cat outside and has been inquisitive but fine but has not been tested in the home.

April has been around an 8 year old little girl who visits in the foster home and she loves her company. She wags her tail when she sees her and plants kisses on her face whilst lying on her lap for snuggles.

April has not yet learnt to play with toys but loves a chewy stick.

April has not been out on walks yet and she is not yet fully vaccinated but walks fine on the harness and lead around the garden. Outside walking will be work in progress.

April sleeps on foster mums bed all night without a sound and no accidents.

Aprils toilet training is a work in progress she has pretty much cracked it but still has the odd accident in the house.

April enjoys her food and has no issue eating around other dogs.

She would be happy as an only dog as long as the humans are home most of the day or with another laid back dog that can show her the ropes. Children from 8 years up would be ideal as long as they understand that she likes a gentle tummy tickles and not to overwhelm her.

Llew D2024-44

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Adult only home
  • Owners with Chihuahua experience

Llew is a 4 Year Old Chihuahua who came into rescue very scared and anxious to be around new people. After a few weeks in his foster home he has learnt that he loves to sleep on his foster mum and dads lap whilst they are watching the tv. He will plant kisses on their faces and roll on his back for a tummy tickle but like a typical chihuahua everything is on his terms. He will decide where he’d like to sit, how long for and who’s face he’d like to lick. If he chooses you, you will be very spoilt with the love this boy has to offer.

He will try to play with the other chihuahua in the foster home but as he’s a grumpy Chi he has slowly given up and is happy to just follow him around and watch the interaction with him and his humans.

He had a flea allergy when he arrived so it’s very important that flea and worm treatment are kept up to date to avoid reoccurrence

Llew is inquisitive of cats and can bark when he sees one. He is fine with all dogs that he’s met in the foster home and is happy in their company.

Due to Llews fear aggression and the fact he’s not fond of kids of any age he will be better suited to an adult only home.

Llew has started to play with toys and has chased a ball. He is particularly fond of socks and will steal them out of your washing pile and chew them so being mindful of what is left lying around is a must if you want to keep the toes.

Llew doesn’t like to put the harness on and seems to find it quite scary but once it’s on him and he’s venturing outside he really enjoys it. He especially enjoys walking alongside the other Chi in the house showing the world who’s boss. Although he can come across as confident, he feels his safest when he’s with another dog whilst he’s exploring the big outside world.

Llew is quite happy sleeping downstairs in the foster home by himself. He has never been upstairs in the foster home and he likes it that way. He likes his own company to sleep and not to be disturbed. In the morning when he sees his foster mum he gives a big waggy tail and a jump and patiently waits for his breakfast.

Llew sleeps all night with no accidents in the house. He is toilet trained but it is to be expected that there may be accidents to start with in his new home until his confidence grows.

Llew will low growl and warn other dogs off if they try to steal his food. He will take treats away from the other dogs and find a corner quietly to eat them. Llew wouldn’t eat when he first arrived in the foster home but he is eating twice a day now and loves his food.

Llew is looking for an adult only home with chihuahua experience. He can be very anxious in new situations and will need someone that understands to leave him alone to decompress and someone who can deal with his anxiety and fear aggression until he settles. Llew is looking for another dog to help him settle and learn from preferably another chihuahua. He needs a home that doesn’t have too many visitors as he believes he lives in his own bubble with his own people and doesnt like any new people coming in upsetting that or he will bark and warn them to leave or hide in a corner till they are gone.

Jess C2024-02

17 years old.

If you’d like a chatty little companion then you’re in luck! Poor Jess has found herself in rescue as her owner died but she’s optimistic that she can find herself a new home that will suit.

Jess is a ball of fur and meows when she needs cuddles from her human.

She knows when breakfast and dinner times are and isn’t afraid to let you know if you’re running late. She loves eating and sleeping in that order and is not averse to playing with a toy for a few minutes although her crazy kitten days are over and she soon curls up on the sofa again.

Jess is a very affectionate and loveable character. She has a slight heart murmur but she needs no medication at present.

She would love to find a home where she can live royally and enjoy head rubs for the rest of her life.

Jess is being rehomed under our Assisted Adoption scheme. She will need a home where she can easily be taken to any branch of Maes Glas vets or Stonecourt vets in Cardiff.

Feeddie D2024-38

****Freddie has epilepsy and all ongoing associated costs will be covered by the charity but owners must                                take him to a Maesglas vets branch****

  • Can be an only dog or live with others
  • Not cat or small furry tested
  • Older children who understands he cannot have human foods

Freddie is a 5 year old Short Haired pointer described by his foster mum as a people lover. He is always keen to say hello and have a cuddle. He is fine meeting other dogs when out on walks, is good in the car and the vet staff love him.

Freddies veterinary history will be fully discussed but he has Epilepsy and is allergic to chicken. Some human foods can also trigger a seizure so this is best avoided.

Freddie is very loving and playful. He loves playing with rope toys and balls and loves to curl up for a sleep on the sofa. He is a confident boy who is very kind and sweet nature.

Not cat or small furry tested

Freddie can live with older children as he is quite clumsy and could accidentally knock little ones over. Also there is a need to keep Freddie away from human food, or keep food away from Freddie so any children must be invested in his health.

Freddie is not at all bothered by other dogs and prefers to play with toys on his own. He throws his balls and ropes then chases after them. He loves playing toys with a human but is equally happy to entertain himself.

Freddie loves his walks and is very good on the lead. He pulls a little but just needs a gentle vocal reminder to wait. He is good waiting to cross roads and listens to commands. He is happy to be walked alone or with other dogs. His recall needs work and he is currently on a long line but not off lead yet.

Freddie sleeps downstairs on the sofa with the other dogs and is very good at night. He is always pleased to welcome you in the morning.

He is totally house trained and will ask to go out by waiting by the door.

Freddie is currently eating on his own as he cannot have foods the other dogs have. He loves food and will sniff out whatever he can get his paws on, so his new family have to make sure no food is left out. He won’t bother the other dogs if they are eating but if they step away he will polish off anything left so feeding needs to be supervised. He is good with treats and waits for his turn.

Freddie is happy with a garden, a sofa, a human to cuddle him, give him his food and medications and take him for walks. He is fine on his own or with other dogs. He would settle in a quiet or active home. He would like someone around most the time or be able to go with his owner who can give him his regular medication. He can be a bit clumsy due to his condition but it doesn’t bother him. He is a very calm and loving boy.

Belle *****ADOPTED*****

Belle D2023-130

  • Needs a resident dog or dogs to learn form
  • Not cat tested
  • No children or older teenage children
  • Lots of patience or experience in dealing with shut down ex breeding dogs.

Belle is a very special 4 year old American Cocker Spaniel.

We are going to be very honest about Belle. She is one of the most shut down ex-breeding dogs we have ever rescued and we have been doing this far too long to mention.

Belle with her foster mum enjoys head snuggles, gentle tummy tickles, sitting on the sofa watching daytime TV and all the love that foster mum can lavish on her. She loves playing zoomies with the resident dogs and has begun to play with toys. She is showing all the signs of a puppy that has decompressed from a very stressful life. This is how Belle can be and so much more.

Belle with other people is scared, will wet herself and hide. Despite the large steps she has taken with foster mum this was always a stop gap to find her that special forever home who will be gentle with the challenges they will face and thrive on the small steps as she changes into the dog she was always meant to be. We know finding her the perfect understanding home is a big ask but we also know that home is out there somewhere.

Belle loves other gentle dogs who will play with her and give her confidence. She will not be homed with small children or to a busy noise household. She needs an understanding and patient owner who understands that these type of dogs will take 1 step forward and 2 steps back and will be involved in her rehabilitation for life knowing that one day she will be a much better version of herself.

She loves her food but can be bullied away by other dogs so will need to be watched from a safe distance to make sure she eats.

Toilet training is a work in progress and she needs regular encouragement to do her toilet outside which the other dog can help her with.

She has not met any cats but normally ex-breeders are not bothered but she is from hunting lines so this would be at her new families discretion.

Belle currently initially likes to sleep on foster mums bed hearing how well she has done that day and the plans for the following day whilst having gentle tummy tickles. When the lights go out she likes to move to her own bed on the floor where she sleeps soundly all night.

She enjoys being out in the garden which needs to be very secure as she will initially try to run and hide.

Harness training is a work in progress. She has had one on but is not keen and currently wets herself or freezes. She will need to wear a harness and long line when in the garden initially and is not to be left alone.

We are aware her moving to her forever home will be a big change for her and we will give full support and back up. This is not going to be easy but this will be one of the most rewarding adoption for us and Belle. She deserves her happy ever after and if you can help her on that journey then please fill out the form and get in touch. Belle hasn’t chosen to be this way this was done to her and she will only receive the very best from now on.

Wednesday 2024-02

3 years old

Wednesday has super cute markings and thick soft fur.

She’s a kookie little character, definitely more interested in humans than her feline foster sister.

A little shy when she first moved into her foster home now she likes nothing better than sleeping next to the human on the computer or hiding in wait on the stairs in case someone is willing to throw a ball or play hide and seek.

She has been learning to play with toys only, not hands so would probably be suitable for older, gentle children.

She could live by herself or with a quiet gentle cat.

Wednesday is neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, microchipped, uses a scratching post and is up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Cariad Bach D2024-36

  • Needs a resident dog to learn to dog
  • Isn’t bothered by cats
  • Needs a loving family

*****RESIDENT DOG MUST BE SPEYED OR NEUTERED UNLESS ON THE ADVICE OF A VET*****

Carri is a 6 year old Mini Dachshund described by her foster mum as an amazingly loving girl who is so happy and excited for every new day. She has had a ruff past but is now making up for the 6 years she missed as a much loved pet. She loves snuggling and getting in all the dog beds (she seems so happy to have one). Her tail is always wagging as she speedily trots from one place to another following her humans and Foster sister.

Carri can be shy occasionally but is so loving and happy to see people. She had a number of teeth removed when she first came into rescue and since this she seems to have a new lease of life and loves new experiences. Thriving on each positive experience.

She ignores the cat and is good with her foster sister and will follow her every where learning to dog.

She has never been tried with children but we would recommend older dog savvy sensible children.

At present she doesn’t realise what play is but loves exploring the garden and having a gold old sniff of everything she can find. Grass under her feet and is new and she is taking every new opportunity in her little sausage stride.

Carri has started harness and lead training but this is going to be a work in progress. She’s OK wearing a harness but no pressure has been put on the lead and she is enjoying following another dog and learning. She has not been out in the big wide world yet but once settled in her forever home and when feeling safe she will be ready to take these steps.

Carri currently sleeps on foster mums bed or anywhere the other dog sleeps. She sleeps all night and has cute little sausage safe dreams.

Toilet training is a work in progress she needs a routine and is fine as long as she is taken out frequently and rewarded when she has been good. Like most sausages she doesn’t like to go out alone to do her toilet and definitely does not like going out in the rain so a family with a nice big umbrella and lots of patience would be good. This will of course get better as she settles and feels safe.

Cariad currently eats in the another room as the resident dog is bossy and will eat her food. She is learning what treats are and her current favourite is bratwurst.

Cariad needs a home with another dog and a patient loving family. When settled she will enjoy going new places and sniffing new smells. She loves everything and will follow another doggy proudly trotting behind with her head held high. She is the sweetest little girl looking for her second chance at the perfect life.

Puppies

  • Could be only dogs or live with others
  • Not cat or small furry tested but young enough to learn
  • Sensible children
  • Need to attend puppy classes

Introducing Arawn (boy), Ffion (girl) and Seren (girl) our 7 Month old Cavalier X Poodle puppies.

The pups are receptive to visitors at the home with wagging tails but will back away until they feel safe and comfortable to approach you. The love cuddles but this has to be on their terms. They are playful and cheeky with a little bit of nawty thrown in.

They love being in the garden.

They are un-tested with cats and small furries but young enough to learn.

They can be homed with children as long as they give the pup their own space when needed.

They play with toys alone and with other dogs.

They are comfortable with a harness but a little stubborn when lead is attached.

They sleep in the kitchen at night. During the day they sleep on the dog bed or sofa in the living room.

They are house trained but being pups little accidents will happen now and then.

They all eat fine around other dogs.

They would like a family home where they will flourish. They will need to attend puppy classes for further training and socialising. They could be an only dog with owners home most of the time and lots of doggy friends or live with others.

Dillon D2024-37

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Not cat or small furry tested but is young
  • Older sensible children
  • Active, patient family who will help him flourish

Dillon is an 8 month old Cocker Spaniel described by his foster mum as a little shy at first meeting but soon becomes an inquisitive typical puppy who longs to play and get up to mischief. Like all puppies he likes to have a nibble on random objects so being mindful that if given half the chance he will steal the remote control to see what it tastes like. He’s a massive goofball with the saddest eyes and will win your heart within minutes. He is a typical clumsy puppy with no social awareness.

He has not been tested with cats but due to him being young he will more than likely be inquisitive and chase a cat to play but he will learn to adapt as he grows.

He can be homed with older sensible children from ages 8 upwards as long as they respected his space whilst settling in.

Dillon loves toys especially a ball he will chase and play with the ball and really enjoys.

Dillon has not been on a walk due to not being fully vaccinated, but he’s fine wearing a harness and lead and slowly learning to walk with one on around the house.

Dillon sleeps in the kitchen in his dog bed by himself with no problem.

House training is work in progress

Dillon loves his food and would eat all day if given the chance he does not suffer from any food aggression but may benefit from a slow feeder.

Dillon would flourish in an active home that will help him explore the world outside that he’s yet to discover. A home that’s patience and loving is a must as he will need to learn how to dog and not be scared. Another dog of a similar size and age that likes to play puppy would be fantastic as he loves to bounce around with other dogs.

Eleri D2024-33

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat or small furry tested but expected to be fine

Eleri is a 4 Year old westie described by her foster mum as a typical ex breeding puppy farm dog that can be unsure of new people. Once she has decided you’re not going to hurt her she can be very inquisitive and loves a snuggle.

Eleri loves to be on the sofa next to her human snuggling. She follows the resident dog in her foster home and watches and learns from her. She relies massively on the resident dog to show her the way and repays her daily by licking and cleaning her ears.

Eleri has not been tested with small furries or cats but foster mum doesn’t think there will be any problem with her due to her nature.

Eleri is ok around children but young loud boisterous ones scare her so older calm and quiet children would suit her better.

Eleri has started to play with the resident dog in the foster home and enjoys a morning ruck on the bed rolling over and mouthing.

She walks well on the lead but can be unsure of sudden noises and people approaching her. She needs to be walked with other dogs to build her confidence and once she overcomes those fears she’s going to enjoy being out exploring the big world.

Eleri currently sleeps on her foster mums bed all night with her foster sister and foster mum.

Eleri ‘s toilet training is a work in progress and she can still have accidents in the home. Foster mum always has a puppy pad down just in case as she’s learning.

Eleri loves her food and shows no aggression with the other dog when being fed.

Eleri is looking for a home with a resident dog that will allow her to follow them and learn how to dog. She relies massively on other dogs in the home and although she likes humans when she first meets one she will allow the other dog to test they are safe first before she will greet you. Older children that will give her space and she would like to go for walks daily so she can explore the world outside that she never got the chance to explore whilst pumping out those puppies in the puppy farm. It’s important that her new brother or sister will allow her to snuggle up and groom and clean them as she can be mothering at times.

Lindor D2024-19

  • Can be an only dog
  • Can also live with a similar quiet dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Loving and patient owners

Lindor is a 2 year Shitzu X Chi described by her foster mum as a cuddle monster who adores humans. She can think of nothing more divine than snuggling on your lap whilst you gently kiss her tiny head. She adores being around her humans she’s can be wary when she first meets someone but it doesn’t take her long and she will be next to you for a tummy tickle. She loves her little squeaky toy and will carry it around the house with her.

She doesn’t take any notice of cats whilst out on her walk but hasn’t been tested inside the home. Her Foster mum doesn’t think it will be an issue.

Lindor loves attention from everyone but very small loud children may be too much for her so calm gentle and cuddly older children are fine.

Lindor has started to he interested in toys and particularly a squeaky little one that she carries around.

She loves to be outside sniffing and exploring and enjoys walking both by herself or with the other dogs.

Lindor sleeps on foster mums bed and snuggles down soundly all night with no issues.

Lindor is 70% housetrained but can still have the odd accident and she may go a bit backwards in her new home.

Lindor eats her food mostly on her own as she can be a bit growly to the other dogs if they approach her bowl.

Lindor would thrive in a home that allows her to snuggle up in bed at the end of the day for cuddles with her human. She needs a home with someone there most of the time as she doesn’t like to be left for long periods on her own without human company. It would be ideal if she could live with another dog of a similar size that is not going to be to much in her face, but will also play with her now and again. Or a home on her own with visiting doggies or walk buddies. Older children would be fine and the cuddlier the better. A home that is going to walk her as she gets excited about being outside trotting around exploring and sniffing as she goes.

Pepper D2024-32

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not cat tested
  • Needs owners with sausage knowledge, buckets of love and patience

Pepper is a 5 year old sausage described by her foster mum as a super little lady who has very easily settled into foster life. She is happy to be picked up and will curl up against you on the sofa until she is ready to go out to toilet.

She spends her day either curled up sleeping by her foster mum or curled up in a snuggly warm bed watching the goings on.

She enjoys a little trot around the garden when the weather is nice. As a sausage she is not keen to go out in the rain so her new family will need to invest in a nice big brolly and plenty of warm towels.

Pepper is a brave little sausage and is not particularly nervous about anything around her. She does tremble a little but this is a sausage trait and snuggly warm blankets help with this and reassures her making her feel safe.

Pepper as a gentle lady has not had the best start in life and is not quite sure how to interact with people. She is going to need time and buckets full of love to help build her confidence and allow her to be the sausage she was always meant to be.  We are confident once she feels safe she will be as nawty as all the other sausages. It’s a well known sausage trait to be nawty, cuddly and amazing.

Pepper is good with other dogs but is currently ignoring them as she is being given time to decompress. She will need a quiet resident dog to help show her the way of the sausage in her new home. She doesn’t currently play with toys but will when she’s ready.

Pepper could be homed with older sausage savvy children who can help her grow and flourish.

Pepper does not currently go walkies and has not learnt the ways of the barky sausage. She will wear a harness but lead training is going to be an ongoing process and will be helped by a special resident dog.

Pepper currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs and sleeps all night.

She is completely house trained and has been a great house guest. She eats her food delicately and doesn’t understand treats.

Pepper is a great little sausage and given time, love and patience would suit most homes who have a resident dog and sausage knowledge.

Wispa D2024-17

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Older sensible children
  • Fine with cats
  • Needs a family who will help her flourish

Wispa is a 3 and a half year old King Charles Spaniel described by her foster mum as a nervous girl who is desperate to trust. She is scared of people she doesn’t know and will go off to her safe place to watch and assess and see how her humans are with them then she will come out and make friends.

She is settling into foster well and her cheeky side is starting to emerge as she is beginning to steal foster dad socks when he leaves the lying around. She loves to know where her humans are at all times when they are in the house. When foster mum has to leave, she has been fine with the other dogs and is happy to see her return to see what goodies she has brought.

She is just starting to learn what belly rubs and ear tickles are and will happily snuggle up on the sofa next to you.

She has paid no attention to the resident cat despite him being a nawty ginger ninja and calling her names. She’s currently a little over weight which will need to be managed in her forever home. Good food and gentle exercise and this young lady will soon be summer bikini body ready.

She was fine with a 6 year old when he visited but he’s dog savvy. She just sat back and watched what he was doing but kept her distance. She is not going to like a busy or noisy household and will need children to be kind and help her develop at her pace.

Wispa doesn’t yet play with toys or other dogs but were confident this will come once she feels safe and loved.

Lead walking is a work in progress. She has had her harness on but was terrified of the lead and any pressure put on it. This needs to be continued in her forever home and bonding with her new fur brother or sister will help this process.

She currently sleeps on end of foster mums bed or in a super comfy dog bed on the floor.

Wispa is super clever and learned the house rules of toileting outside very quickly. She will let you know she needs to go but you have to go with her and hold her paw.

Wispa prefers to eat   alone as she is worried the other dogs will eat her food or it will be taken away from her. She is beginning to understand treats but is fussy as to what she likes.

Wispa would like a home with a resident dog who can show her the ways of the world. She needs to learn from them and like master Yoda they will show her the way of the force. The love force. She is not going to enjoy a busy house full of screaming kids but she will happily make friends with strangers who are nice and gentle with her.

Sally D2024-15

  • To be adopted on a neutering and training agreement
  • Can be an only dog or live with others
  • Older children
  • Not at or small furry tested
  • Active home with knowledge or experience of the breed

Sally is the most beautiful 6 month old springer spaniel described by her foster mum as initially shy on first meetings but soon comes out of her shell when she realises you are a friend or even a friend with food. Sally hasn’t seen a lot of men in her life having been in foster with a strong independent woman with crazy dogs but the more she gets out and about the more she is learning.

Vet history to be discussed

Due to having a rough start Sally is very immature in both body and mind, she is only around 5kg and very much like a 12 week old puppy. She’s super cheeky and bouncy once she knows you and is very much a Velcro dog, she wants to be where you are and would spend all day around your neck like a scarf if she could.

Due to being a baby she is still all bouncy and nippy but she is not a chewer, nevertheless she is partial to a stolen sock!

Untested with cats or small furries.

Sally is great with kids but we would recommend older children as she is still very jumpy and nippy

She is very good with foster mums crazy labradors but not overly interested in playing. She is more a people dog. Due to her rough start and needing to be healthy she has only just started getting out and about and is quite shy with meeting dogs but this will improve with socialisation and puppy classes.

She is happy to have a harness and lead on and is getting better and not wrapping you up with the lead when out and about. She has been off lead in a secure field and her recall was excellent.

Saly sleeps downstairs in her crate, once she can’t see you she settles to sleep but is unsettled if she can see you, she has also slept upstairs with my foster mums daughter and was also fine.

House training is a work in progress as her little brain cells catch up.

She is fed in her crate as she is a hoover and given the chance would eat her own food and everyone else’s but there has been no possessiveness around food.

Sally is a very busy dog and will need a family experienced with spaniels or one who can show they’ve done appropriate research into the breed. She will need a home that will be dedicated to keeping her active in both body and mind and would greatly benefit from puppy classes. She would happily be an only dog or live with other dogs who would be tolerant of a bouncy baby. The world is Sallys oyster she is young enough to learn and is very much a fun dog.
