Breed: Cavalier King Charles, Tricolor

Can I live with Children?: Yes, older children only please

Can I live with cats?: Not tested

Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, another quite resident dog is a must

Fostered In: Rhondda

Saskie is looking for a local long-term foster home to spend her retirement in a home full of love where she can be cared for. Despite a rotten start in life, Saskie is a wonderful, sweet little lady who’s tail never stops wagging. She is eager to please and constantly seeks reassurance that she is doing the right thing. She loves cuddles and tickles and will sit next to you for hours in an upright position until her head finally gets too heavy!

People – Saskie loves people and, in particular, her mammy. She is happy to be touched and craves the attention of her humans.

Dogs – Saskie needs a calm resident dog to teach her how to become part of a family. She is eager to  learn and thrives on praise.

Cats – Saskie has not been tested with cats

In the home – Saskie is working on her house training and is nearly there. She is not destructive at all and prefers to spend her time sleeping on the settee as long as she can see her human. She can be left for short periods.

Out and about – Saskie is new to the outside world and busy streets and noise make her nervous, as does a lead so her walking is not brilliant and will need to be worked on. She is happy to meet other dogs and people and will always come for a cuddle.

Type of home – Saskie needs a quiet home with at least one other dog where she can get plenty of attention from her family and and a nice safe place to rest in her retirement.

Saskie has a heart condition which is being managed locally. She needs this to be under  control before she can be neutered and have the dental work she needs. For this reason we would like Saskie to be re-homed locally where she can continue her treatment with our vets.

Saskie is not neutered as she has just come out of season so commitment to neuter will be required and followed up.  She is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
