RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME

NO CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT OWNERS WHO CAN HELP HER ADJUST TO THE BIG WIDE WORLD

Lilith is a 4 year old chihuahua described by her foster mum as a gentle cuddly girl who adores a lap. It seems like she has a slight idea of living in a house, she knows how to go up and down stairs, has excellent toilet manners and can even sit nicely for you.

Lilith can be a bit of a drama queen when she’s feeling insecure or unsure of what is happening. She is learning to have a harness put on and off but she will do a little squeal until it’s on and then she realises she’s absolutely fine. She will need your time and patience to help her gain confidence and enjoy new experiences.

Lilith is a little bit overweight but this can be easily managed by monitoring her food intake and weighing out meals. She is neutered which may make it easier for her to put on weight as her metabolism slows, so monitoring of food intake will be needed for the foreseeable future to help her stay healthy.

Lilith adores people so much she’s even been known to do a tiny excitable wee on seeing her foster Mum enter in the mornings. She will even leave food behind if attention is on offer! She will go to ground on meeting new people until she’s had some strokes, at which point she realises they are gentle and her confidence comes out. She will wag her tail and lean her paws on you to get your attention. She is very gentle.

Lilith can be a bit worried and is likely to find children too much. It is best for Lilith to be homed in an adult only household.

Lilith has barked at cats on the garden wall but not over aggressively. She has not had any close engagement with small furries while in foster. She would likely accept a dog savvy cat, if introduced in the right way.

Lilith sleeps in the lounge with her foster brother. She cuddles up on the couch and will either hold her toilet until morning or go on a puppy pad. She likes to come into the human bed for cuddles after breakfast and loves to bury under the covers and roll around on her back for tummy tickles.

Lilith can bark at passers-by so a home that is not fronted onto a busy road would be ideal to help her feel comfortable. Apart from a close passer by the window, Lilith doesn’t make a sound and is such a quiet girl.

Lilith has started having walks in her foster Mum’s arms as she isn’t fully vaccinated yet. She likes to watch the world and didn’t seem phased by the experience. She will need full training, including patient lead training.

Lilith is a beautiful gentle girl who is just looking for that forever lap. She would love a bit of outdoor space as being in the garden is one of her favourite things. She enjoys exploring a flower bed and sitting in the sun. she would need a resident dog who could help her with her training and being confident in the outside world.
