Cathy has completely stolen her foster family’s hearts 💙
This sweet, timid little lady wants so much to be brave — and every day her confidence is growing. Her whole world revolves around her humans for safety, love and reassurance. When she sees her foster parents, her little tail wags like mad, and her adorable “morning spaniel dance” is pure joy to watch!
Cathy would be happiest in a quiet, adult-only home (sensible teenagers would be fine) where she can be the only dog. She relies heavily on her humans and would truly thrive with all the love and attention to herself.
She is:
- ✔️ Completely relaxed around the resident cat (she ignores him!)
- ✔️ Discovering toys — sometimes carrying one off for a chew or snuggling up beside a soft one
- ✔️ Sleeping all night in her bed beside her foster parent (complete with the cutest little snores!)
Cathy is housetraining beautifully. She’s happy to toilet outside and hasn’t had an accident for a week. She’s even started making little whimpering sounds to let you know she needs to go out — such a big step for this gentle girl.
She walks happily on a harness and lead and currently enjoys pottering around the garden (no public walks yet due to vaccination status). She absolutely adores being outside, so a safe, secure garden is a must.
Cathy loves her food and treats (and would happily sample everyone else’s if allowed!). She already knows her mealtime routines — including carrot after breakfast and sprat after tea 🥕🐟
Cathy will need someone around most of the time, as she takes great comfort in human company. With patience and love, she will continue to blossom and, when ready, enjoy gentle outings to meet new doggy and human friends.
