REHOMED Gilly – 15 month old Yorkshire Terrier

Name: Gilly

Age: 15 months old

Breed: Small Yorkshire Terrier

Can I live with Children: Older

Can I live with cats: No

Can I live with other dogs: Bigger dogs

Fostered In: RCT, South Wales

Gilly is a 15-month old Yorkshire Terrier, who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a very small Yorkie and is an affectionate and lively little girl. Gilly does not appear to have been socialised much or walked on a lead but she does learn quickly.

People – Gilly is fine with people if a little apprehensive at first when out for a walk.  She is fine with visitors to her foster home.  She will be ok to live with older children that are dog savvy.

Dogs –   Gilly can be nervous when out and when she encounters a dog but doesn’t react. She is fine with the other dogs in her foster home but has growled at them if she is on the sofa and they approach. Her trigger appears to be when they get excited and she will put them in their place. She is currently being trained so that she knows that this isn’t acceptable.

Cats – She lives with cats in her foster home and one she will chase but the other she leaves alone as it does not react to her. We would prefer that there are no cats in her new home.

In the home – Gilly is housetrained and knows how to use the cat flap. She is crated overnight so that she isn’t able to boss the other dogs around and sleeps soundly. Gilly is a fussy eater and seems to be more used to human food than dog food but this is not something that is allowed in her foster home.  She has been food aggressive on occasions.  As with any dog she may have accidents initially in her new home until she knows her routine.

Out and about – Gilly walks quite well on the lead but isn’t used to it yet so tends to zig zag so care must be taken so that she doesn’t trip people up. Gilly is fine in the vets but very nervous, will shake with fear. She is fine in the car.

Type of home – Gilly needs someone to be home for most of the day as she loves to be close to people. Someone with time for her as she likes to be near you. She gives a wonderful greeting when you return from being ‘out’ out. She may be happier around bigger dogs as tends to bully smaller dogs in her foster home. A patient home is a must where Gilly will be given further training and boundaries.

Gilly is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.

Name: Biscuit

Age: 7 years old

Breed: Bichon Frise

Can I live with Children: Older children

Can I live with cats: Not tested

Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must

Fostered In:  RCT South Wales

Biscuit is a 7-year old ex-breeding Bichon Frise who has spent much of her life producing puppies. She is being fostered in RCT South Wales. Biscuit is a very trusting girl who loves a gentle fuss and a safe place to nap. She has had 27 teeth removed but still loves her wet food.

People – Biscuit loves people big and small. As an older girl she wouldn’t like noisy toddlers but is happy with gentle older children and adults who allow her to relax and come for a fuss when she feels comfortable. She is frightened of being bathed and will shake with fear but this is all new to her.

Dogs – Biscuit would like an older calmer dog who will show her what being a pet dog is all about. She doesn’t really play as yet but does go to lay on the other foster dogs in the evenings when it’s time for bed

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Biscuit is a quiet girl around the house. Her toilet training is nearly there. She sleeps on a dog bed in the kitchen overnight with no issues. She is not yet playing with toys but does like soft treats. Biscuit could be left for shorter periods of time with another dog for company.

Out and about – Biscuit walks well on a lead but will only need gentle exercise. A short walk and time to Potter is good for her. She is fine at the vets.

Type of home – Biscuit would like a quiet home with at least one resident dog who isn’t too bouncy. She can live with sensible children or a couple/individual who are /is happy with short gentle strolls with a companion and then settle down for a cuddle on the sofa

Biscuit is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT South Wales.

Name: Harry

Age: 6 months old

Breed: West Highland Terrier

Can I live with Children: Yes

Can I live with cats: Not tested

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Fostered In: South Wales

Harry is a 6-month old West Highland Terrier who is being fostered in South Wales. He came to us as an unsold puppy from a breeder due to the condition ‘Westie jaw’. He is receiving vet treatment for this currently in the form of steroids and is recovering well.

People – Harry loves to be fussed by anyone. He likes to be cuddled and sit on your lap. He is excellent around children but maybe not very young children because of his puppy antics. He doesn’t get frightened of children in fact he likes them to stroke him. He reacts well to people on walks and likes to be made a fuss of.

Dogs – He loves to play with the 2 dogs in the house and garden. He is happy to meet other dogs on a walk. As he has been in foster for some time now with other dogs, we believe it would be nicer for him to have a home with another young dog for company

Cats – Not cat tested

In the home – Harry is very playful in the house and likes a cuddle in the evenings when he’s tired. He will let you know if he wants to be picked up. His housetraining is ongoing but getting better. He sleeps in the bedroom in his own bed until the morning. He has chewed some skirting board corners and likes to dig in the garden but he’ll grow out of this. He eats well and will also eat the other dogs’ food if he can. He also drinks a lot but this is partly due to the steroids. He seems to be fine when left for about 2 – 3 hours with other dogs for company.
Out and about – Harry loves to go for walks and is happy on the lead. He travels fine in the back of the car. He’s well behaved at the vets. He loves to play with a ball and other toys. He loves being outside exploring the garden and likes to hide his toys. Due to his age he will benefit from further training and socialisation in most areas.

Type of home – He needs a home where people are around for him as he is a puppy and still needs training. He would be suited to a family with children but maybe not toddlers because of his puppy behaviour. Also, potential families would need to be aware of his jaw problems which hopefully won’t be an issue in the future. He would benefit from further training and socialisation in the form of puppy classes.

Harry is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Harry is due to be neutered shortly. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South Wales.

Fluffy & Coco – Forever bunny mansion found
Fluffy & Coco

next arrow

Well, look at these two beautiful girls! Fluffy and Coco are sisters…. Can I hear everyone humming “Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters” or am I giving my age away here?! We think they are about four years old and have always been together so they are well and truly bonded and looking for their perfect forever home together. They are outdoor rabbits with lots of energy and will need a large and secure garden to enjoy.

Fluffy and Coco came into us from a loving home, but the family were no longer able to give them the care and attention they deserved, and so did the right thing by contacting us.

Foster Mum tells us that Fluffy (mostly black) is an absolute sweetheart. She likes attention and will give kisses if you hold your hand out to her. Like most rabbits, she likes to have her paws firmly on the ground but she is ok to be picked up and handled when necessary. However, her favourite pastime is running around exploring.

Coco (mostly white) is a little more timid. At the moment she isn’t too keen on being touched. However, she is getting much braver and certainly doesn’t want her sister getting all the attention! She likes hiding in tall grass and being groomed by Fluffy. Foster Mum is convinced that it won’t take her long to gain confidence. They are both great hay eaters. They’re not completely litter box trained but Foster Mum is working hard on that and paws crossed they will soon get the hang of it!

Fluffy and Coco are fully vaccinated, spayed and very healthy – they passed the vets visit with flying colours. They are also microchipped which will be transferred to their new home. If you think you are able to give these two lovely lady buns the forever home they deserve, please fill in the adoption link below:

He’s such a caring young man. Dai would like a home where the owner is around a lot as he loves attention. He can live with other cats but quiet ones and he is good with cat savvy dogs

Devina is one of the cwtchiest ladies you’ll ever meet. She’s a small girl for 7 but loves to sleep all day. She prefers to do this beside or on-top of you (but can be found curled up in a ball on any available cozy blanket on a couch/bed). She will announce when its time to feed her and is somewhat of a shadow (helper…) when she’s awake. She loooves her humans and would make a great addition to a household where she could be the centre of attention! She is great at using her litter tray and scratch post.

Please help! I’m looking for my forever home. I’m almost 4 years old with hypnotising green eyes, snow white whiskers and a luxurious coat. I’m a lady who enjoys the finer things in life: Sleeping on a soft cushion, dining and being loved. I am also independent and would love to be an only cat although I do enjoy the company of feline friendly dogs. I don’t engage much and don’t seek a fuss but I love to know you are close. I sometimes enjoy a chase of the dangling toy. Unfortunately my beloved Human Dad recently passed away and I long for a place I can call home forever. I really loved my dad and we got on really well because I was the only cat and the apple of his eye. When we were together I used to perch on the back of his chair especially when he had a tray of food. Although I miss my dad he would want me to be happy and find a new forever special human who understands I’m special too.

Only cat good with cat savvy dogs and older children

Sabrina is just magic, she is beautiful with stunning aquamarine eyes and a super sweet disposition towards her humans but needs to be an only cat as she can be a bit of a bully to others. She can however live with cat savvy dogs. She has had her last litter of kittens and is looking forward to a life of pampering and love. As she is all white potential adopters will need to understand white cats requirements for sun protection. She is learning to play and relax after the stresses of motherhood.

Sabrina is great with her litter tray and scratching post and is now too old to climb those curtains so she is a perfect companion. She’s just a yummy mummy who has had her last litter and is now ready to start her proper life.

Name: Pearl

Age: 5-years old

Breed: Cocker spaniel

Can I live with Children: Older

Can I live with cats: Yes

Can I live with other dogs: No

Fostered In: Worcester

Pearl is a 5-year old Cocker Spaniel who is being fostered in Worcester. She’s quite a shy girl until she gets to know you but loves all people. Always really pleased to see foster mum when she returns home and gets very excited when she sees her lead. Chasing pigeons is her favourite pastime.

People – She loves all sorts of people but needs older children as can be intimidated by small ones. She’s fine with people out on walks and will sit in the queue for a treat.

Dogs –   She’s fine with dogs out on walks but can be aggressive if food is dropped and there are other dogs interested too. She likes to play with other dogs by getting them to chase her. She can be possessive over her favourite person as far as other dogs are concerned so we feel she is better as an only dog.

Cats – Fine with cats

In the home – Grace is house-trained and sleeps in dog bed on the bedroom floor. She has started to show an interest in soft toys, carrying them around and nuzzling them. She eats everything she is given, her main food being tails.com with added veg and meat/fish. She has been left for up to four hours without incident.

Out and about – She’s very good on lead. Needs to be on back seat of car so she can see foster mum and will climb out of boot – definitely an escape artist. She has harness on and is clipped into seat belt by strap but sits happily on back seat. She is fine at vets.

Type of home – Pearl would suit a home with no other dogs and preferably an owner she can have all to herself. She walks quite briskly on her lead and loves a free run. At the moment she has 2 to 3 hours exercise a day over two walks so she needs a fairly active owner.  She seems to favour women.

Pearl is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Worcester

Name: Mr Slate

Age: 8 years old

Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Can I live with Children: Yes

Can I live with cats: No

Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must

Fostered In: Cardiff, South Wales

Mr Slate is an 8-year old ex-breeding Cavalier King Charles who is being fostered in Cardiff, South Wales. He is a gorgeous little cuddle monster who’s just bursting with joy and affection.  Mr Slate will make someone a very loving pet.

People – Mr Slate loves being cuddled by people big and small. In fact, he is great with small children as long as they are respectful of him.  When out on walkies, he tends to follow passing strangers (but that’s only because he loves humans) so you must keep an eye on him in the beginning.

Dogs – Mr Slate is a very social dog and will happily walk up to other dogs for a sniff.  But if they growl at him, he will heed the warning and back away. As an ex-breeder he will only be rehomed where there is another dog for company.

Cats – Unfortunately Mr Slate will bark at cats and try to chase them.

In the home – Mr Slate had a few toilet accidents when he first arrived, but he quickly copied the other dogs’ toilet behaviour and taught himself to go outside. His adopters should be prepared for accidents as he settles in his new home and gets used to a new routine. He loves going out for walks (on or off the lead) and can be left on his own for a few hours at a time. He sleeps peacefully downstairs without any fuss with another dog for company.

Out and about – Mr Slate is a joy to go walkies with.  He is friendly with other dogs and is good both on or off the lead and his recall is very good. He is very intelligent and will quickly learn a new name should his new owner wish to rename him.  Mr Slate travels very well in the car and is not afraid of going to the vets.

Type of home – Mr Slate would love a home where his family are around for the majority of the day. He is looking for another dog for company but cannot live with cats. He is happy around respectful children. As he loves cuddles he needs a home where he can be next to his person on the sofa. He is a sociable little fellow and will make someone a very loyal and affectionate companion.

Mr Slate is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Cardiff, South Wales.

REHOMED Ace 10 month old American bulldog – Wiltshire

Name Ace

Age 10 months

Children: No

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Can I live with cats: No

Fostered in: Wiltshire

ACE is a 10-month old American Bulldog who is being fostered in Wiltshire. He has come from a home with 2 other dogs but unfortunately this did not work out for him.

Due to a short time in kennels he has become very nervous with strangers, he’s happy for them to walk by him on walks but didn’t like them to talk to him so becomes very vocal, hence why we will not rehome him with children.

He’s not a big fan of cats when on walks and does try to pull to go find them. He does love a walk but can pull at the start, but will wait at roads when told. He likes to make sure everyone is still with him so turns back to check on everyone. He’s not learnt recall yet so this will need to be done with him.
Ace has no problem going in to the car and sits nicely although he can get a little car sick if it’s long a journey.
He will happily go into his cage by himself unless it’s you wanting him to go in then he will sit and not move so needs great encouragement to get in. He currently has some separation issues so does make some noise when left on his own for too long and at night time. In his previous home this was not a issue.
Ace loves to play with his toys and will need very durable toys as he loves to chew but is very happy with a cardboard box with some treats in.
Ace does love to have his cuddles and kisses especially on a evening.

Ace is fully vaccinated, wormed, neutered and microchipped. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Wiltshire.

Name: Embo

Age: 18 month old tripawd

Breed: Crossbreed

Can I live with Children: Teens

Can I live with cats: Yes

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Fostered In: Crewe, Cheshire

Embo is an 18-month old Turkish crossbreed who is being fostered in Crewe, Cheshire. He is a big loveable dog who is always so happy to see people and he has such a zest for life. Embo arrived from Turkey with an amputated back leg and being very seriously ill. He was found to be suffering the effects from an infected tick bite which left him fighting for his life. He has now had full treatment for this and is on the road to recovery. Throughout all his treatment he was such a gentle soul that the vets, vet nurses and anyone that met him totally fell in love with his character.

People – Embo loves humans and is always so pleased to see people. He will paw you for attention and loves getting a head stroke. Embo is a big and long-legged dog, and can be quite clumsy sometimes on his three legs so a home with older children or adults only would suit him as he doesn’t realise his own size sometimes

Dogs – Embo lives with multiple dogs in his foster home and meets lots of dogs when on walks – he is very sociable and will interact with any dog he sees. He can sometimes bark when dogs enter his house, but this soon stops when he meets them. Embo would benefit from another dog to play with and interact with, however he would also happily be an only dog if there was lots of human interaction.

Cats – Embo lives with a cat currently and two parrots and is fine with them

In the home – Embo is house trained, he currently sleeps downstairs in the kitchen behind a babygate and is very happy to do that. Embo has been crate trained and will happily go in one, but currently isn’t using one in his foster home. Embo is not destructive but is very puppy like so will steal socks if given the opportunity and has taken post from the floor so will need a home that can be patient while he settles in and relives his puppy hood. Embo does play with toys and loves squeaky toys especially. Embo is eating well and is very food orientated. As he is still putting on weight he is getting three meals a day in his foster home which is suiting him but he is not food aggressive at all. Potential adopters will have to work with Embo on his enthusiasm for food as he gets very excited when he sees his food bowl. Embo is fine to be left for short periods, he has been left in his foster home with no issues- he does sing for a few minutes when you leave but this isn’t persistent and soon stops.

Out and about – Embo loves walks and being outdoors. He will jump into any vehicle to go out and loves life! He runs into the vets to see them all and as he has spent a lot of time there over the last couple of months he has quickly worked out if you wag your tail at reception you get treats from them so he loves going there!

Type of home – Embo would suit a home experienced with large breeds such as German Shepherds as he has many traits of this breed – he can be clumsy with his long legs and thumpy tail so a home that will work with him to settle and adapt to suit him. A home that is active and will take him exploring new places – Embo is definitely not a dog that needs to be a house dog due to his missing leg – he loves life and deserves to experience as much as possible after all he has been through. Embo loves to run and is great off lead, but he needs a home that will understand that a change may unsettle him initially so he will need patience and understanding to allow him to adjust to a different home.

Embo is a loveable big idiot who makes everyone smile and laugh when they are around him, so he needs a home that will embrace his loveable ways and allow him to be his goofy but gentle self and continue to teach him that socks don’t need to be hidden in his bed, or that post doesn’t need to be read by him first!

Whoever adopts Embo will truly get the most amazing dog who just makes you laugh everyday with his comical nature and he will make the most rewarding companion

Embo is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Crewe, Cheshire.

previous arrow
next arrow

Garfield is around 6 years old and is an absolutely gorgeous boy who you will have to be careful not to spoil rotten. He is a very lazy cat who will happily spend all day in (your) bed except to get up to eat (not lasagne) or go to the toilet. He tends to wake up a bit more in the evening, taking time to bat at a dangler toy and approach his fosterers for fuss and to be picked up onto the sofa. He enjoys watching the screen while they are playing video games.
Though a former stray, he is obviously very used to human contact. Endearingly, he is a good communicator – meowing to get you to follow him to his food bowl or a door which he wants opening. He is affectionate- headbutting you for chin rubs when being stroked or brushed- but will walk away from you when he has had enough. When content, he drools, and will occasionally emit a very quiet purr. He has recently started to lay down on top of his fosters while they are in bed, or uses their hands as a pillow when feeling sleepy.
Garfield does have a bad leg which limits his ability to groom himself, but he enjoys being brushed and is non-aggressive when being groomed or bathed. He uses his litter tray well typically, but may toilet at the front door when he has had a stressful day.
Garfield is FIV+ which means that he will need to be rehomed as an only cat, or with other FIV+ cats and will have to be a house cat or have access to a catio. He is likely suitable for a home with cat-savvy children as he is very gentle.

Name: Toots

Age: 7-years old

Breed: Bichon Frise

Can I live with Children: Older sensible children

Can I live with cats: Yes

Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must

Fostered In: Rhondda, South Wales

Toots is a 7-year old ex-breeding Bichon Frise who is being fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. She’s a very happy little girl who loves to cuddle up to another dog for a snooze. She likes going out for a walk and meeting people and other dogs. She is a very friendly and content dog and takes everything in her stride

People – She loves everyone she meets and is very friendly towards them and is fine with children if they are gentle as she’s so small. She can be wary if people loom over her or children try to smother her.

Dogs –  Toots is fine with the dogs in her foster home but as with most ex-breeders they can be possessive over their humans. Toots is friendly on walks towards other dogs.  She needs another dog in her new home to help her gain in confidence and to cuddle up to.

Cats – Toots is happy to live with cats

In the home – Whoever adopts Toots will have to bear in mind that living in a home is new to her. She requires ongoing help with her housetraining and gentle guidance and socialisation in every aspect of life. She loves to run out the garden with the other dogs and has found her voice. She is a good little guard dog if someone visits.  Toots is fairly small and weighs under 5 kilos but she’s always first in the queue for food or a treat. She’s had quite a few teeth out so her tongue can poke out of her mouth especially when she’s asleep which is so cute! Toots loves having her belly gentle rubbed and will kick with her back legs if you dare to stop 😊

Out and about – Toots behaves very well on walks and travels well in the car with a seat belt restraint. She happily sits on foster mum’s lap at the vets.

Type of home – Toots can be left for either a morning or an afternoon but no longer – so would not be suitable for full time workers. Due to her size, any children in the home should be older and used to handling dogs sensibly. She will need another dog of a similar size to cuddle up with. Toots loves walking but with the emphasis on little and often. She enjoys being on the sofa and on the bed so someone who will let her be part of the family is a must. We will not rehome a dog with you if your dogs are unneutered.

Toots is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the Rhondda, South Wales.

She’s easy to handle and likes a fuss but would rather sit in a corner on her own, so needs to be given lots of encouragement to come and be with the other dogs or sit with the family

People – Cali is very submissive. She is happy being picked up and brushed. Due to her nervousness she would be ok with visiting children but sensible teens would be preferable if in the home full time.

Dogs – Cali would like to live with other dogs as they would her reassure her and give her confidence.

Cats – Unknown with cats

In the home – Cali will sleep in the kitchen, but has been sleeping in our bedroom, she’s very quiet and settles easily she’s not destructive at all and loves food and treats and has no aggression at all, she doesn’t yet play with toys , and is happy being left for a few hours

Out and about – She’s a little worried on walks but with encouragement she will walk happily with the other dogs. She gets very excited when the lead comes out. She travels well in the car and is fine at the vets.

Type of home – Cali is looking for an adult only home preferably, which is quiet and not too busy. She will need patient adopters who will give her space to come out of her shell without any pressure. Cali would be happiest in a home with other dogs, with someone who is around a lot and can devote lots of time to her.

Cali is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Berkshire.

Happy Endings – Mr BW & Toby

Oooh, we’re so happy here at FOAW Bunny Headquarters. We’ve had a run of successful bondings and we have got some fabulous stories to share. The first one is our very own big boy, Mr Benjamin White. You may remember we were having problems finding him a suitable forever friend as, due to his poor eyesight, he was getting very nervous around other rabbits and lashing out, so we were looking for a special and unique home for our very special and unique boy. Well (imagine if you will a fanfare of trumpets), Mr BW has landed right on his rather sizeable paws and has found his perfect forever home. I’m not going to say anymore, as I think the photos say it all. However, I do just want to acknowledge his simply fabulous foster mum, Ali Thomas, who gave him so much love and time to let his personality bloom; and our amazing team who never gave up on finding him the home he needed. I give you Mr Benjamin White and Toby…..

next arrow

Name: Fran

Age: 3-years old

Breed: Cavalier King Charles

Can I live with Children: No

Can I live with cats: No

Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must

Fostered In: Rhondda, South Wales

Fran is a sweet 3-year old Cavalier King Charles who is being fostered in the Rhondda, South Wales. As an ex-breeding girl she is very nervous and will need at least one other dog to live with in her new home.

People – Fran is great with adults both male and female and loves the teenagers in her foster home. She will bark at younger boys in the home. This is currently being worked on and she is improving but she would like to live in an adult only home

Dogs –   Fran gets on well with dogs big and small. As an ex-breeding girl Fran will need at least one other dog in the home. She has met loads of dogs out walking and greets them all with a happy tail wag.

Cats – No to cats

In the home – Fran has the waggiest tail which makes her whole body shake. She enjoys being out on walks exploring the countryside but then returning home for a cuddle on the sofa with her humans. Fran is calm in the house. Her toilet training is nearly there, she is clean and dry in the day but has had the odd accident overnight. She sleeps in the kitchen overnight with other dogs for company, she hasn’t been destructive, so we’ve had no need to crate her. She’s happy to be left for a few hours if there’s another dog with her, on her own she will cry.  She loves her food and although will grumble if another dog tries to eat from her bowl if you tell her ‘no’ she stops.

Out and about – Fran walks well in the lead and loves being out and about. She will walk for about an hour at a time and has been to the beach and local forestry with her fosterers which she enjoyed. She is happy to meet other dogs big and small while out and is always polite. She travels well in the car in a crate and has been well behaved when at the vets

Type of home – Fran needs an adult-only home as she is not fussed on children running about and will bark or chase. She would like her humans around for most of the time and are happy to take her for regular walks. At least one other kind resident dog is a must and patient owners who realise that as a puppy farm girl she may take a bit of time to adjust to her new life and not rush her.

Fran is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the Rhondda, South Wales

Name: Jessie

Age: 4 years old

Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Beagle

Can I live with Children: Yes, but not toddlers

Can I live with cats: Yes

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Fostered In: South Wales

Four-year old Jessie is an ex-breeding Cavalier cross Beagle girl who is being fostered in South Wales. She is looking for a home with at least one other dog for company

People – Jessie loves people, big and small. She enjoys fuss and would happily live with sensible, gentle children.

Dogs –   Jessie is fine around other dogs and lives in a multi-dog household. She is friendly with all the dogs she has met on walks too. As an ex-breeding girl she is more used to dogs than people so we are looking to rehome her where there is at least one other dog. She has snapped once or twice at other dogs when they jump up next to her on the sofa but is learning that this is not acceptable.

Cats – Jessie can live with cats

In the home – Jessie does need reassurance as can be startled with loud noises and will jump if a loud car goes passed. She hasn’t been crated as she has been so well behaved. Her housetraining is a work in progress and her adopters will have to be prepared to continue this. Jessie has been left with other dogs for company with no problem at all. She is yet to play with toys but this may or may not come in time as she settles down.

Out and about – Jessie walks well on the lead. She does need to gain further confidence in this area as is still scared of sudden noises. She travels well in the car and is either in a travel crate or behind a dog guard. At the vets she has been very well behaved.

Type of home – A home where Jessie is allowed to settle with no pressure, would be perfect for her. She needs to be given time to find her feet and get used to living in a home. She can live with gentle children as she enjoys cuddling up to them. She doesn’t want a huge amount of exercise – short walks and naps in between 😊 Cuddles on the sofa is a must as she enjoys human company. She may be able to live with part time workers but would prefer her people to around for a lot of the day.

Jessie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.

Name: Mork

Age: 4-years old

Breed: Miniature Schnauzer

Can I live with Children: Older

Can I live with cats: Yes

Can I live with other dogs: A must, yes

Fostered In: RCT, South Wales

Four-year old Mork is an ex-breeding Miniature Schnauzer girl (yes, girl! Despite her name!) who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She does have a Grade 2 heart murmur and an ear that is prone to infection, due to an untreated injury in her past.

People – Mork is nervous of new people and needs time to get to know you. She loves the humans who have gained her trust but is very vocal – growling and barking – at strangers. Mork will be fine around older children but not smaller, noisy ones.

Dogs –   Mork is a typical ex-breeder who is happier around dogs than she is people. She will need a kind resident dog for company in her new home.

Cats – Mork happily lives with three cats.

In the home – Mork’s housetraining is a work in progress. If the door is open then she will use the garden but if not, she isn’t yet brave enough to ask and will mess on the floor. Her new family will have to have patience with her while she gets to grips with this and settles in her new routine. She has been left for a little while and will initially bark and cry but does calm down after a few minutes. She sleeps on a chair/dog bed in the kitchen with her canine companions.

Out and about –  Mork is getting used to the outside world and everything is a new experience for her. She needs help with her lead training as sometimes she can walk well but other times she will try to bolt. Off lead, she has only been exercised in a secure enclosed area with people that she trusts so her adopters will have to take care.

Type of home – With Mork’s lack of confidence and the ongoing training requirements, she does need her humans to be home for most of the day. Another similar-aged dog for company and older children only. A family who understand ex-breeding dogs and what they have been through would be ideal as they would have the patience to work with her and help her gain in confidence.

Mork is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales

Name: Morag

Age: 4-years old

Breed: Cairn Terrier

Can I live with Children: Over 10s

Can I live with cats: Not tested

Can I live with other dogs: Yes, a must

Fostered In: Cardiff, South Wales

Four-year old Morag is an ex-breeding Cairn Terrier who is being fostered in Cardiff. It is early days for her and she is just getting used to being in a home and going out for walks but her confidence is improving daily and her waggy tail tells us she’s quite pleased with her new life so far!

People – Morag is a very loving girl who loves people. She interacts well once she knows you but does take a bit of time to get used to strangers. As she is quite skittish we recommend that any children in the home are over 10 years old.

Dogs –   Morag will only be rehomed with another dog and gets on very well with the dogs in her foster home. She enjoys curling up with them for a snooze. She is still getting used to walks so hasn’t met any dogs outside of her foster home yet.

Cats – Morag hasn’t been cat tested.

In the home – Morag has been a little star with housetraining and has picked it up very quickly, although her new home will have to be prepared for accidents until she gets into a routine. She has been left with other dogs for a few hours and hasn’t been destructive or noisy so would be suitable for part time workers. She can be startled by sudden loud noises but is fine with the usual appliance noise in the home. Morag needs to gain some confidence before she joins her foster family on the sofa but we are sure it won’t take her long to find out the best place for cuddles.

Out and about – It is still early days and Morag is getting used to the lead. She isn’t a huge fan of it at the moment but with careful introductions she will eventually realise that it only brings good things. She travels well in the car and behaved well at the vets – initially she was on drops for her ears and wasn’t comfortable with having those put in.

Type of home – Morag has to live with another dog in her new home. She is fine to be left for a little while and will probably be suitable to live with part time workers. We ask that any children in her new home are over 10 and sensible as she can be startled easily. Her new owners will have to give her time and patience to gain in confidence and settle into a routine. She will need guidance with her lead walking and will need encouragement out on walks.

Morag is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Cardiff.

Name: Dave

Age: 6-months old

Breed: Miniature Dachshund

Can I live with Children: 10 years and over

Can I live with cats: No

Can I live with other dogs: Yes

Fostered In: Crewe, Cheshire

Dave is a 6-month old Miniature Dachshund, who is being fostered in Crewe, Cheshire. He is a typical, full-on puppy and is looking for an experienced home where he will learn boundaries and get plenty of further training and socialisation.

People – Dave is great with people. He can be unsure initially but soon makes friends and loves everyone he meets. Due to his size and breed Dave will only be rehomed where any children are older.

Dogs – Dave can live with or without other dogs. He exhibits typical puppy behaviour and can be a pain so any resident dogs must be able to cope with this. We will not rehome him with a dog who is wanting a peaceful retirement. When out he wants to speak to every dog he meets.

Cats – Dave is very full on with the cat in his foster home so we are looking to rehome him without cats and small furries.

In the home – Dave is an energetic puppy who loves having a garden to play in. His house training is a work in progress and he will need further training in this area so he is aware of what are acceptable toileting areas. He is crate trained but will bark initially before settling. Being a puppy he may get into trouble if left alone for more than a few seconds and will need to be watched so he doesn’t chew anything he shouldn’t.

Out and about – Walks are the most exciting thing ever but like his legs, his attention span is somewhat limited 😊 He will need further recall training so he actually remembers to come back to his owners! He does walk well with a lead and harness. He travels well in the car and has been fine at the vets.

Type of home – Dave is looking for a home where his humans are home for most of the day. He does need further work with his housetraining, and training in general, so would not be suitable for full time workers. Dave is a bundle of energy and any children in the home will have to be older. Underneath that cute exterior he is a Dachshund, and these dogs are known for having certain health problems and personality traits, so a Dachshund-experienced home is desirable.

Dave is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Crewe, Cheshire.

Our girl Caramel is still looking for her forever home. She’s changed so much since being in foster. She’s full of energy and loves to hunt she is desperate to find her forever home so she can go bring her new owners presents. She likes to drag her toys around until her foster mum gets the message that it’s time to play. Being a typical Tortie Caramel swing between demanding and loving attention to wanting some space. Caramel is looking for a home where she can be free to come and go after a period of adjustment. Caramel is a typical nosy neighbour and loves to sit in the window watching the outside world go by. Caramel needs someone who will respect that she wants her own space on occasion and whilst she is affectionate it is very much on her own terms with a toothy reprimand for anyone who crosses a boundary.

Smudge and gizmo are a bonded pair of gorgeous fur babies. Smudge is a 10 year old seal point Siamese and Gizmo is an 8 year old pale ginger who must be homed  together as house cats.
These boys love to cuddle together, but if there’s a warm radiator, smudge will be found near it. Gizmo loves to be fussed, and purrs loudly in return.
Smudge is a typical Siamese, attention is on his terms to begin with, but once settled he will paw you for fuss. He can get a little stressed in new surroundings and will over groom, but he will settle down. Gizmo loves his food especially wet food, whilst smudge likes to browse on dry food. They will chase each other and play and gizmo likes toys. Neither are over fond of being picked up, but are getting better.
These 2 boys are looking for a quiet, indoor home with older children and no dogs.
They are a lovely pair who need a loving home.

Ready to go up to date with flea, vaccs and wormer.
