Please say hello to Reuben the Rabbit! This gorgeous boy is a real sweetheart and all he wants to do is cuddle – not your typical boy rabbit! In fact he often comes over demanding attention, putting his head under your hand and even getting up on the sofa for, you’ve guessed it, cuddles. He’s not always the best to be picked up – places to be and things to do – unless he knows he’s coming up specifically for cuddling, so he needs someone who is confident handling and picking up bunnies.
He’s litter trained and doesn’t chew anything he’s not supposed too. He’s so good that every evening he has free range of Foster Mum’s house and there have been no incidents or accidents to date! We think he’s trying to prove he’d be ideal to be a free range house bunny! He isn’t scared of Foster Mum’s dogs or cat – in fact he has been known to nick the dog’s bed for himself!
This little character was found wandering around Caerphilly on his own so we’re not sure of his age – although he certainly doesn’t look and act very old. He has been neutered and is up to date with his vaccinations.
If you and your lady bun think you can give this perfect boy his perfect forever home with plenty of cuddles, please fill in the adoption link below:
Buddy is a 7-month old Cavalier cross
who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He is a playful and loving puppy who
adores cuddles and is quick to adapt to new situations. He is cheeky and
everything is a game to him. He will require further training in all areas and
someone who is home for a lot of the day to do that.
People – Buddy loves people once he has
been introduced to them. He may bark and
back away from strangers, but once he has been introduced to them gently, he is
fine and very friendly. He is fine when meeting the visiting grandchildren in
his foster home; cuddling up to them and falling asleep being stroked.
Dogs – Buddy loves being with other dogs and is
learning a lot from them and gaining in confidence. He would be happier if rehomed with another
dog.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – Buddy is quick to learn
rules. He is not totally housetrained; we
have a few accidents. Generally he is learning from the other dogs and goes out
to the garden for toilet which he gets praised for. He will use puppy pads if they are put in his
favourite wee spot. Buddy is crate
trained and sleeps in an open crate during the day and takes himself off for
bed at night-time and the door is closed. He does like a routine. Buddy has not shown any destructive behaviour,
he will pick up things like tissues or pegs but has not tried to destroy any
belongings or furniture. Buddy loves his
toys but is not possessive of them at all, if another dog takes it off him he
lets them but if he pinches a toy off another dog (they let him) he looks so
pleased with himself! Buddy has not yet
been left for any length of time so this will need to be built up gradually in
his new home.
Out and about – Buddy loves going for walks, everything is a new adventure for him and he can’t wait to explore the whole world. He needs a secure harness and possibly a collar lead also as it is unknown how he will react to an unfamiliar situation and he may squirm out of a collar or harness. Buddy travels quite well in the car but does need to be restrained/crated to stop him from wandering. Buddy loves going to the vets and meeting everyone there. We feel that Buddy would benefit in confidence to go to puppy classes and any potential home will need to demonstrate they have researched classes in their area
Type of home – Buddy would thrive in an active
family home where he will have a lot of social interaction with people, other
dogs, toys and someone to play with him and give him lots of cuddles. He is a very active and friendly dog and will
need a lot of exercise and play and cuddle times. He also needs a home with a routine and
consistent rules so he does not get confused.
He will need to continue his training that the whole family are involved
in. He needs consistent boundaries that
the whole family will keep to.
Buddy is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in RCT, South
Wales.
Can I live with other dogs: In the future, after training
Fostered In: Crewe, Cheshire
Meet Bert our 8-month old British Bulldog who is being fostered in Crewe, Cheshire. Bert is a full of life bulldog, who is a loveable thug. He suffered a broken leg that required surgery prior to coming into rescue and has spent over 3 months recovering at the vets so is now ready to find a forever home and is enjoying the puppy hood he never had. Bert is a fun-loving dog who is always pleased to see you, loves playing with toys, stealing socks and generally being a young boisterous bull breed – he is a dog that makes you laugh everyday
People – Bert loves people and is always
happy to see them. He can be boisterous and has no idea of his size so for this
reason a home with older children would suit Bert as he will bowl into things
when playing and is quite clumsy sometimes so older children would be best
Dogs – Bert is great with all dogs- he has no awareness of his size and can be bouncy around dogs smaller than him, but is just playful not aggressive in any way. Bert does not read other dogs body language and any new owner would need to be aware that even though Bert would love another dog to pieces, they may not feel the same. Bert has only recently been neutered so his over excitement will settle, but with this in mind he will be re homed as an only dog.
Cats – Bert lives with a cat and two parrots and
ignores the parrots totally. He does try and play with the cat and doesn’t read
signals very well so would need a home with no cats, or a home with a confident
cat to teach him cats are not for playing with
In the home – Bert is housetrained and crate trained. He sleeps in the kitchen and is quite all night. The reason the foster home does this is Bert cannot distinguish between dog toys and human furniture. Bert is good with being left and may suitable for part time workers if they committed to a good walk before leaving him
Out and about – Bert likes going for walks, he is
just quite unfit currently so we are building up his daily walks in length so
he improves his fitness. Bert travels well in the car
Type of home – Bert is very large bulldog and is a very energetic dog who needs a home that will be prepared to put in the time continuing his basic training, ideally owners that are bull breed experienced.. Bert needs a family that have researched the breed and understand the issues this type of dog could have. Bert is a typical young bull breed and needs owners that understand the breed and are not just looking for a popular breed of dog.
Bert needs a family that have people at home majority of the day and needs owners that will be patient with him while he settles in . He will trash your home jumping on sofa’s and generally making a mess, if not supervised. Bert is full of fun he is a loveable thug and will make someone a lovely loyal pet
Bert is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Crewe, Cheshire.
Lyle is the most placid gentleman we’ve ever had the
pleasure to know. He was reluctantly surrendered when his elderly owner was
unable to take him to sheltered accommodation. Lyle is an extremely low
maintenance chap. He’ll find his own cwtchy space and only need you to provide
his meals and a lovely scratching post. He is 12, neutered and is so very
polite. He will enjoy ear tickles when he gets to know you and is extremely
well behaved with other cats and feline experienced dogs. He will seek a quiet
lofty space away from young children. He is so loyal and deserves to be treated
as the total gentleman he is.
12 Years Old
Perfect gentleman
Can live with other cats and dog savvy cats
Microchipped and up to date flea, Wormer and vaccines
Bella is currently on foster in Stourbridge, West Midlands being assess, neutered and vaccinated. She also needs to have an operation on her eye folds which is common in this breed.
NO APPLICATIONS ARE BEING TAKEN FOR BELLA AT THIS TIME
Seven-year old Ivy is an ex-breeding Shih Tzu who is being fostered in South Wales.
People – Ivy can be nervous at first when
meeting new people but responds well to a gentle approach. She is happy to be
groomed and will sit patiently to have her face and eyes washed. Ivy can become
rather fearful in new situations.
Dogs – Ivy does require the company of another dog to
give her confidence and support and to learn from. She is at present in a
foster home with a very active 4-year old dachshund cross whom she loves to
bits. She is very comfortable around other dogs and is totally unfazed by
visiting dogs
Cats – Not tested
In the home – House training is ongoing but she
is confident using puppy pads in one particular area. Ivy sleeps downstairs in
the kitchen where she has complete freedom and choice of beds. She gets very
excited to see people and her doggy friend in the mornings. Ivy is not at all
destructive and although she doesn’t play with toys, has a collection of cuddly
animals that she likes to carry around. She can be left for up to 4/5 hours
without any problems but given treats and chews as compensation. She has a dog biscuit
for breakfast which she loves, treats throughout the day and a meal in the
evening. She can become a bit anxious at mealtimes as she seems to fear that it
will be taken away from her.
Out and about – Ivy walks nicely on the lead but
is still learning to enjoy being out and about. She travels with a safety
harness in the back seat but finds it stressful. Although she is very compliant
at the vets, she is very fearful. With more positive experiences with car
travel, Ivy will soon see this as a more positive experience.
Type of home – Ivy would benefit from a home with
at least one other dog for company and as a role model. She has benefited from
a number of people visiting and making her feel more confident with human
company but in the long term would be more suited to a quieter environment and
someone who’s around most of the day.
Ivy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated
and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be
expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
Can I live with other dogs: would prefer to be an only dog
Fostered In: Rhondda, South Wales
Holly is a 5-year old ex-breeding Shih Tzu girl who is being
fostered in Rhondda, South Wales. Holly loves her food and is starting to show
interest in play. She loves to steal socks and fluffy slippers. Holly is in
good health but does have a sunken eye that she cannot see out of due to a birth
defect; she may need an operation in the future.
People – Holly is good with strangers and
visitors to the home and has gained her confidence with meeting people. Holly
has been fine around children and she has shown no aggression towards children
or adults. Holly would be better in a home with children over the age of 10 as
she would like to be the one that initiates interaction rather than small
children who may not respect her boundaries.
Dogs – As an ex-breeding girl we usually only rehome with another dog, but Holly is happy on her own and unless a laid back, chilled out dog would prefer to be an only dog
Cats – Holly lives with a cat and tries to play with
him. Holly has not met any other small animals.
In the home – Holly is getting
used to living in a home. Her house training is ongoing. Adopters will have to be patient with her
and take her out for toilet breaks regularly until she adjusts to her new
routine. Holly is not crate trained and does not like being confined. She
sleeps on foster mum’s bed during the night. She can be food aggressive around
other dogs so will need to be fed on her own. Holly can be left for a few hours
with no issues.
Out and about – Holly has only been out and about in
a dog buggy as she has not yet completed the course of vaccinations. Holly is
great in the car and will sleep. She is also well behaved when at the vets.
Type of home – Holly would be fine in a house with children over 10 that know to give a dog space when needed. Holly likes to have her family close and gets upset if they go upstairs and close the gate, which is why her adopters will have to be at home for most of the day.
Holly is neutered, chipped, up to
date with her flea and worming treatment and has just started her vaccinations.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in
South Wales.
Jaffa is around 7 years old and is
being fostered in the West Midlands. He is a special boy; very calm, gentle and
well behaved. He loves to be near you. He has had a dental recently and had to
have 6 teeth removed. He has mild ectorpion of the lower eye lids which
is common in the breed.
People – He has been friendly
towards everyone he has met so far and happy to have a fuss from them. He is
fine with children over 7 years old.
Dogs – The few dogs he has met he has been fine with. He lives with other dogs in his foster home but doesn’t really interact with them. As an ex-breeding dog he will need to live with another dog in his new home.
Cats – Jaffa hasn’t been cat tested.
In the home – Jaffa has improved his toileting
tremendously and will only have an occasion wee in the house. He sleeps on the
bed with his foster home and another dog. He has shown no interest in toys. He
would prefer to follow foster mum around the house but is fine the door is shut.
He is not a barker but will occasionally give a little whine, only for a minute
or two. He’s been left for up to two hours with another dog for company and has
been okay (as he has been watched on the dog cam!)
Out and about – Jaffa hasn’t
started his course of vaccinations yet so hasn’t been out on walks. On the occasional trip to vets he
had behaved very well both in the car and at the vets.
Type of home – Jaffa would fit in to most households; he is not boisterous so would be fine with children of around 7+. He needs to live with another dog and would prefer his humans to be around for the majority of the day.
Jaffa is neutered, chipped, just about
to start his course of vaccinations and is up to date with her flea and worming
treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster
home in West Midlands.
Evie is one of the
cwtchiest girls you’ll ever meet. She wants nothing more than to snuggle up on
your lap and purr. When she’s not busy giving you all the love she can, she can
be found hunting all of her toys. She is chatty in the day, but is quiet at
night and will happily sleep beside (or on top of you) until you’re ready to
get up (and never wakes you up herself). She will greet you when you come in
and loves her humans!
Eve is a 5-year old Cairn terrier who
is being fostered in South Wales. She is a friendly girl who loves to be fussed
and gets excited when she meets people who will do just that.
People – Eve loves to be
petted and fussed. Initially she showed signs of stress in excess licking but
has settled and finds new people quite interesting. She hasn’t met any children,
but we believe she would be fine with over 10s.
Dogs – Eve Is fine around other dogs and
would prefer another dog for company in her new home.
Cats – Eve hasn’t been cat tested.
In the home – Eve’s housetraining
is a work in progress, but she is happy to use puppy pads. She loves lounging
on the sofa with her favourite humans in the evening and getting as much fuss
as she can. Eve can be left for a couple of hours at a time
Out and about – Eve is
cautious on walks and needs a harness. She will trot alongside other dogs
happily. Eve hasn’t shown any issues with travelling or at vets.
Type of home – Eve would prefer a
home where she has another dog to show her the ropes. She needs her humans
around for most of the time and they will have to give her lots of fuss! We think
she will be fine to live with older children.
Eve is neutered, chipped, undergoing
her course of vaccinations and up to date with her flea and worming treatment.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in
RCT, South Wales.
Ronnie is an 18-month old Pug who is
being fostered in Cardiff He came to us from a home through no fault of his own
and is a great character who knows basic commands.
People – Ronnie loves people and
enjoys being groomed. He can be a playful pup and can jump up so older children
only please, due to his bounciness
Dogs – Ronnie is fine with
other dogs but would happily live as an only dog.
Cats – No, he barks at them
In the home – Ronnie is settling
down well in his foster home and housetraining is almost there. He will happily
sleep on the sofa or curl up at the end of the human bed. He loves playing with
squeaky toys when people get involved with the game.
Out and about – Ronnie travels well
in the car but does need to be restrained in a crate or with a seatbelt
harness. He loves walks and will happily meet other dogs.
Type of home – Ronnie has come from a
home where he was left for long hours so we are looking for a home where this
doesn’t happen again. He is very people orientated and would prefer to be an
only dog. Any children in the home should be older as he still acts like a
bouncy puppy.
Ronnie is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South
Wales
Ellie is our beautiful 4-5-year-old smoky grey seductress with
bright green eyes (the photos do not do her justice). She is a quiet girl who
enjoys her own company but likes to know humans are around. Ellie likes fusses
on her terms and does not like being picked up. Her favourite thing to do is to
sit in a window and watch the world go by. Ellie would like a quiet home as an
only cat or with another quiet cat. Ellie is not really keen on young children but
she does get along with her foster mums dog.
Female

The cat team are very excited to present a very special man
to you all. Everyone say a gentle hello to our Abominable Snowman or SNOWY for
short. Snowy is just perfection rolled up into one big lump of love. He came to
us due to a change in family circumstances, his previous owner loved him so
much and has made him into the gentle giant that he is. Snowy is 10 years old
and is looking for a nice quiet home. He could live with another cat or dog and
has been amazing with visiting children who can be trusted to quietly brush
him. This young man has expensive taste and will only eat from his china bowls
which will travel with him. He also has his own personal grooming kit and this
is for a good reason as he loves to be brushed and this will need to continue
on a daily basis to keep this boy looking in tip top condition. Snowy for all
this love and attention will give you nose kisses to your hearts delight. He
also loves to look out of the window and can go out after a period of
adjustment. He’s not a boy who likes to sit on your lap (which is lucky as he’s
a right lump) but he likes to be close. He is happy to be at home on his own
for short periods. His foster mum says that he is just so easy to look after as
he is so laid back he hasn’t got a nasty bone in his body.
Male
10 Years old
Can live with other cats and dog
Prefer an older home no young kids (visiting is fine)
Neutered, Microchipped and up to date flea and worm.
Our gorgeous young man Parker is now looking for his
forever home. He was found abandoned in the car park hungry and afraid. The
vets think he is around 4 to 5 years old. He is a very gentle boy and loves
human attention and is a cuddle monster. He is great with other cats and dogs,
he is great with young children being described by his foster mum as very
gentle. He is ok if his new owners go out and work and will make a great big
fuss when they get home. He will adapt well to a new home he is that easy going.
His foster mums final words are that “ despite Parker having lived rough for a
long time he is very clean in the house. He has a lovely fat squishy face with
short stubby legs who absolutely loves cuddles”.
Male Neutered
4-5 years old
Can live with other cats and dogs and is child friendly.
Lucy is a 2 and a half year old
Cavalier who is being fostered in the Midlands. She is a friendly, loving girl
who loves attention and fuss. She knows her name but hasn’t been taught sit,
down etc but is a quick learner. She is a little gem who will be a loving and
loyal companion to whoever adopts her.
People – Lucy does bark at people and dogs
but only because she wants to meet them and get fuss.
Dogs – Apart from initially barking at dogs when out
she is happily living here with three other dogs. She would definitely benefit
from having another dog to play with
Cats – Not tested
In the home – Lucy is mainly housetrained with
only an occasional accident. She sleeps on her fosterer’s bed with three other
dogs. She walks in and out of an open crate downstairs. She will chase and
bring back a ball when out but at home she prefers an antler chew to toys. She
is not food aggressive but will try to get the others food if given half the
chance. When left, she will initially cry and bark but this only last for a few
minutes. She has been left with the others for up to three hours without any
problems
Out and about – Lucy is very happy to get in the
car and travels extremely well, she will whine for the first few minutes and
then lies down and goes to sleep. I haven’t taken her to the vet yet but she
has been to the groomers and behaved very well having her nails clipped.
Type of home – Lucy would benefit from another
dog in her new home. She does like her walks but doesn’t need long walks. She
is very good and could be left for several hours as long as she had another dog
for company. Children 7+ would be fine,
the only reason being that she can get excited and could knock smaller children
down
Lucy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated
and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be
expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the Midlands
Tonto is an 18-month old Cavalier who is being fostered
in Worcester. He is very confident and outgoing. Loves his food, walks and
playing in house with balls or soft toys. Lives life to the full and loves it.
A real pleasure to foster. He has real character and keeps his fosterer on her toes!
People – Absolutely adores people of all
kinds. Will approach them for a fuss and will accept treats. Brilliant with
children who are his favourites. He would be fine in family situation
Dogs – Loves all sorts of dogs. Has been put in his
place by resident dog and dogs he’s met on walks with no retaliation.
Cats – Very interested in the cat in his foster home, who
has hissed at him. Unfazed and still interacting with cat.
In the home – House-training is ongoing. He’s
now using puppy pads and is also going outside so he’s starting to make the
connection. Sleeps in dog bed on floor by his
fosterer’s bed. He hasn’t been tested in a crate. He does like to chew
and will run off with anything that’s not nailed down! He loves to play with
soft toys and balls but he will chew so needs to be supervised. Magazines,
books and puppy pads will be shaken to death and shredded! He loves his food
but not over fond of biscuit dog treats much preferring meats and sausages. Not
food or toy aggressive at all. Have left him with resident dog for up to 3.5
hours and was fine.
Out and about – He gets very excited when out on
his lead so will leap about a bit but can walk sedately when encouraged to.
Took him out in car yesterday and put him in boot with resident dog and he was
calm and relaxed about it. Settled down immediately. Not taken him to vet yet
but don’t envisage any problems.
Type of home – Tonto is a good all rounder. He could
settle in a home with or without another dog but does need active owners. He
would probably do best in home where children can take an active part as he’s
still only a baby in his head and loves children.
Tonto is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Worcester.
Poppy and Dotty are a pair of bonded 1-year old sisters who need to be rehomed together. Poppy loves cwtches and we mean she really loves cwtches to the point of seeking you out for attention. They totally complement each other this pair and whereas Poppy is all about the love and attention Dotty is our little thinker. She will come and sit on your lap for a short time but likes to sit back and watch the world go by. They both like company, but are also equally happy to find a spot under the bed for a daytime nap. They love their food and poppy will happily let you know when she is feeling peckish whereas Dotty will sit back like a lady and wait patiently for her food. The girls are both playful chasing balls, string etc and they play fight together often. Poppy is fine with children but Dotty is unsure and likes to sit away watching what’s going on
Females
Around 1 year old
Need to be homed together with no other cat or a very
confident cat
Not dog tested
Neutered and Microchipped and up to date flea and worm
Ziggy is a typically lively young man and adores playing
with feathers, cat toys, and sitting in or on cardboard boxes. He is very well
behaved and uses the scratching post and litter tray. He obviously paid
attention at the good cat school. Ziggy is available for adoption on his own or
with his brother George. They play fight together and when this is all done,
they like to snuggle up together on the sofa. They are both good with kids,
playful and affectionate and would suit any type of household. They are both
doing really well in foster but think they are ready to find their forever
homes and be able to go outdoors.
George is a typically lively young man and adores playing
with feathers, cat toys, and sitting in or on cardboard boxes. He is very well
behaved and uses the scratching post and litter tray. He obviously paid
attention at the good cat school. George is available for adoption on his own
or with his brother ZIGGY. They play fight together and when this is all done,
they like to snuggle up together on the sofa. They are both good with kids,
playful and affectionate and would suit any type of household. They are both

Kohl is a very friendly and lively 4-month old Cocker
Spaniel puppy, who is being fostered in South Wales. He loves to play with toys
and other dogs. He also likes lots of cuddles especially on your lap. He
starting to learn basic commands such as sit and down. He should easily
progress with this as loves a treat. He loves to be made a fuss of and always
greets you with lots excitement. Had
Cherry Eye but has been operated on and all clear from vet.
People – He loves meeting people especially
if they make a big fuss of him. He’s happy to be touched by strangers. Kohl
likes a bath and being brushed. He likes to play with children but could be a
bit boisterous for really young children.
Dogs – Kohl likes to play with the other dogs in the
house. He greets other dogs in a friendly nature. He has always lived with
another dog so maybe he would be better suited to a home who had another dog.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – He is very lively in the home and
bounces around but he is still very young. He sleeps in the bedroom either in
his bed or on the floor. He goes in a crate but doesn’t like the door shut. He
will eat his food in seconds and other food if allowed. He can be aggressive
with other dogs with his food but he eats so quickly it’s not a problem. He’s
only been left for an hour or two and cries in the beginning but is fine when
his humans return. He likes to pinch socks and slippers.
Out and about – He’s only just started lead
walking and sometimes lies down but he’s only young. He travels fine in the
car. He is no problem at the vets.
Type of home – He needs an active home with
someone who is around during most of the day especially as he’s a puppy. He
would suit a family who had another dog he could play with and learn from. He
will need to be walked every day. His house training will have to be continued.
Kohl is chipped, vaccinated and up to
date with his flea and worming treatment. He is too young to be neutered so
will be rehomed with a neutering contract. It will be a condition of adoption that
his new owners get this done as soon as he is old enough. Follow up checks will
be done. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his
foster home in South Wales.
Glinda has only just come into rescue and has cherry eye. She will be fully assessed and get the vet treatment she requires before being available for rehoming.

and sleeps on the bed with me, Betty and Doris. She is dry all night. She
doesn’t use a crate and is not destructive the only thing she does tend to chew
are her toys which she loves. She has been left with the other dogs for up to 3
hours without problems.
Out and about – She loves her walks and walks very
well on the lead. Caroline is extremely good when travelling and at the vets.
Type of home – Caroline would fit in to most
homes although she’s never been left alone without other dogs so we feel that
she does need to be rehomed with at least one other dog.
Caroline is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the West
Midlands.
Betty is a 5-year old Shih Tzu being
fostered in the West Midlands. Betty is a very friendly lap dog. She
likes nothing more than being with you and giving licks. She loves throwing her
toys around.
People – Betty is happy to meet anyone and
everyone. She enjoys being groomed and is a cuddly lap dog.
Dogs – Betty does get on with all dogs she has met, but
does bark and lunge if the other dog is on the other side of the street, this
is only because she wants to meet them. She does like to sit on the window
ledge and bark at dogs going past.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – Betty is fully housetrained and
sleeps on foster mum’s bed. She is non-destructive and does like to play with
toys. Betty has been left for up to 3 hours without problems, but she will bark
initially. She is also not too keen on having doors shut in the house so she
can follow her humans.
Out and about – Betty is not used to much exercise
but does enjoy being out. Her only issue is barking and lunging at other digs
if she can’t meet them. She travels well in the car.
Type of home – She is very much a lap dog and isn’t
used to a lot of exercise. She would be fine with older children although a
quiet home would be best where someone is around for most of the day.
Betty is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the West
Midlands.
Pepsi is around 5 years old and is a Yorkshire Terrier cross Chihuahua girl who is being fostered in South Wales. Although she is a cross she is typical Chi behaviour wise. She takes a little while to trust people but once she does just loves being close to her favourite people, she can be a little snappy if she doesn’t want to be touched.
People – She is comfortable with both men and women but it will take a while for her to get used to you. She certainly likes to be close to you even is she’s not touching you. She hasn’t had much experience of children and due to her being a little unpredictable we think that a home without children would be more sensible.
Dogs – She is fostered as an only dog but is indifferent to other dogs. She said hello wagged her tail but generally ignored them and wanted no interaction. She is fine with other dogs on walks, but we believe that she would thrive in a multi chi house
Cats – She is being fostered with four cats. They
tolerate each other and give a wide berth when necessary. She is however
friends with the Siamese, and they go nose to nose with each other
In the home – She has bonded well with her foster Mum and she will happily be picked up onto the sofa to sit on their laps. She won’t necessarily stay there and cuddle all night as she likes to have a bit of her own space too as long as she’s close to you. She has been left for about 2 hours without issue. When she was first fostered she slept in a crate but now prefers to sleep on a cushion under the radiator. She still has the crate as a sanctuary from the cats but she doesn’t really use it. She has shown no signs whatsoever of destructive behaviour since being in foster. She is so tiny she wouldn’t be able to jump a fence but she might be able to get underneath a fence or gate however she shows no inclination to escape anywhere
Out and about – She walks well on a lead for short periods, but has obviously been carried a lot as she will stop when she has had enough. She has been good at the vets but did snap when he was trying to touch her tummy. She travels in a small soft crate and is calm and relaxed.
Type of home – Although she’s not on your lap all the time she does like her humans to be close to her so someone who is home at least the majority of the day. She is an extremely fussy eater and come in with a skin irritation that has got better on a wheat free diet, although she would prefer a little chicken. We have tried her on a raw diet, but she is fussy and will eat it one day and not the other .She is sweet delicate little soul and should be treated as such a home with Chi experience or in a multi Chi home would ideal. She will make a lovely companion for someone who is not looking for a dog to take on long walks. She really is darling who has already captured the heart of her foster mum.
Pepsi is chipped and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. She is neutered and fully vaccinated. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
Lily is a 2-year old Saluki cross who
is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is an adorable girl who has
been a dream to foster. Having come to us with a badly broken leg and lots of
cuts and bruises she has been the perfect patient which has been rewarded with
the vets being able to save her leg. She has a sweet nature who loves everyone
and would make the perfect companion for the right home. No ongoing health
issues but care needs to be taken with the leg not to overdo it. She is
currently walking 40 minutes but no off lead running as yet.
People – Lily loves everyone she meets and
is happy to be fussed. She has a quiet nature and will happily pass the hours
asleep on the sofa or cuddling next to you. She is quite a tall girl so no
small toddlers for her to knock over but sensible children would be fine
Dogs – Lily is great with other dogs and
will play happily with them. She’s met loads of dogs of various breeds and
sizes while at walking and loves everyone but she would be equally as happy as
an only dog if owners were around most of the day.
Cats – Not cat tested but will chase small furries
especially squirrels
In the home – Lily is fully house trained and
sleeps quietly in a dog bed in the kitchen overnight. She is an escape artist
so a super secure garden with walls over 6 ft is a must. She can be left for
short periods but may cry initially, she also jumps on work tops and tables
when left so anything dangerous needs to be put away in cupboards. She loves
her food and is not food or toy aggressive
Out and about – Lily
walks well in a lead but prefers quieter walks away from traffic as she is
understandably wary having been hit by a car. Recall is non-existent and she
will need to be kept on a lead or long line at all times. She travels well in a
crate in the car and is a regular at the vets.
Type of home – Security is a must in Lily’s
forever home to make sure she can’t escape. Wall height of above 6 ft and
exterior doors locked as she can open them. She is a super friendly and
affectionate girl so would fit into any home with ease. She enjoys quiet
outdoor time but also enjoys spending most of her day asleep on the sofa.
Lily is neutered, chipped, vaccinated
and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be
expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
Remus is a 6-month old Border Terrier
cross Pug who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He loves being around the
other dogs in his foster home and is happiest when he’s busy.
People – Remus is confident
around people young and old. He is happy to be fussed and loves a cuddle on the
sofa with his favourite humans.
Dogs – We think Remus would
prefer a home where he has other dogs for company as he thrives around them. He
also loves to play.
Cats – He hasn’t been cat tested but
is young enough to learn.
In the home – Remus is almost
there with his housetraining but adopters should expect a few accidents when he
moves to his new home as he is only a puppy. He loves to play and enjoys
running round the garden with the other dogs in the home. He hasn’t been left
for any length of time and would prefer that his people are around for the
majority of the day to train and socialise him. Now he is fully vaccinated he
just loves his walks and being as active as he can.
Out and about – He is fine in the car
and at the vets. Walks are a work in progress as he gets used to being on the
lead.
Type of home – Remus is only young so
needs his people at home for most of the day. He will need patient people who
are happy to work with his training – including in the house. He can live with
sensible children and would thrive where he has another dog for company. He
really is a delightful boy who would fit in to most set ups.
Remus is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in RCT South
Wales.
Romulus is a 6-month old Pug cross
Border terrier puppy who is being fostered in South Wales. He is looking for an
active home where he gets a lot of input with training and sociation. He is
still very unsure of humans who will need patient people who will work with
him.
People – As an older puppy who was
unsold from the breeder, Romulus is very unsure of humans. He will need further
gentle training and socialisation to be happier around people but we have faith
that he is young enough to pick this up when given kindness and love. He is
fantastic with sensible children.
Dogs – Romulus would be happiest in a
home with another dog for company. He gains in confidence while around them and
although, hasn’t met any dogs out and about yet, loves the dogs in his foster
home.
Cats – Young enough to learn
In the home – Romulus has led a
sheltered life so far and hasn’t been exposed to many of the sights, sounds and
experiences that we take for granted. His housetraining is a work in progress
and he is unsure of nearly everything and everyone around him. His safe place
is currently the sofa but he as started to wag his tail when watching the other
dogs so he’ll get there.
Out and about – He will need
continued gentle guidance on walks, car travel and trips to the vet.
Type of home – A patient home where
his people are around for most of the day would be great for Romulus. He deserves
to have the company he craves and to be part of a family who are prepared to
work with him so he can reach his full potential. He will be an active lad as
he gains in confidence so adopters will have to ensure he is taken on regular
jaunts. He would like to live with other dogs for company and can live with
sensible children who are understanding of his needs.
Romulus is neutered, chipped,
vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential
adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South
Wales.
