ANOTHER LARGE BREED RESIDENT DOG NEEDED

NO CHILDREN

NO CATS

PATIENT OWNERS WHO ARE HOME MOST OF THE TIME

Benji is a 2 year old large mixed breed who is a really loving dog that has not had the best start in life. He arrived from Turkey underweight and with tremors. He loves nothing more than running around the garden with his foster brother, an old English sheepdog and playing with his toys. He’s then happy to settle down in from of the fire for a cuddle to recharge his batteries.

Medical history will be discussed with any potential adopters. Benji is currently fed a few small meals a day to help him build his weight up.

Benji is a very loving boy who loves people but will occasionally bark at a stranger as that is his way of showing he is afraid so slow introductions to new situations are best for him.

Benji doesn’t like children the sounds they make when they are playing and excited worries him so he would prefer a home with no children and any visiting would need to be aware that he is unsure of them.

No cats or small furries please.

Benji is a good boy in the home. He is fully toilet trained and enjoys playing with toys and his foster siblings. He travels better in the car with another dog for company but is fine on his own if reassured by his foster mum. He likes spending his days lazing about in front of the fire as well as some play time in the garden. He’s not destructive at all.

Benji has started walking on a lead and is learning manners but this is an ongoing process. When he is out and bout he needs a suitable collar and harness as well as two leads initially to keep him safe while he is learning. He will need patient owners to take their time with him and teach him the world can be a fun place to explore and not scary.

Benji would like a home where his new owners are kind and understanding of what he has been through. It will take time for Benji to settle and feel safe but he will get there with love and kindness. He needs a large garden or secure field and at least one large breed, playful dog in the home. No children or smaller pets please.
