Honey is reserved for a home that was previously homechecked for another dog. The adoptions team felt that Honey would be more suitable for them than the dog they previously applied for.
1st December – Update from foster home
Honey is really starting to come out of her shell and is becoming part of the crew. She’s found her waggy tail and is not afraid to use it 😁She is now eating with the other dogs she sleeps with them and has more or less abandoned her crate which was her place of safety. She’s also seeking affection from us and although she’s still a little nervous she’s so far from that scared little girl who first came to stay
_______________________________________________________
Meet Honey, who is currently on foster being assessed in South Wales. This is what her foster mum has to say about her journey so far
“She is a scared little 6 month old puppy. When she first came to us she was very shut down I don’t think she’d had any socialisation and would hide under the table and wet herself at any attempt to interact with her. She has come a long way in the three weeks we’ve had her and although still very nervous she is starting to finally behave like a playful little pup should. She will sit on the sofa and cuddle up and is now trying to interact with her foster siblings. She an absolute darling, very sweet natured and will be a perfect little dog for anyone willing to give her the time love and patience to enable her to break even further out of that little shell. She’d need someone home during the day Another friendly dog is a must and probably only older kids as she’s still very nervy. She’s got a problem with a runny tummy at the moment which we think is just down to a nerves but vets are going to send samples away to check that it’s nothing more sinister”.
Eugenie is a 5-year old Yorkshire Terrier who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is slowly coming out of her shell but is still very jumpy with sudden or loud movements.
People – Eugenie does not like strangers and she will hide if frightened. Eugenie loves to be stroked and made a fuss of once she gets to know you.
Dogs – Eugenie is not bothered by other dogs. In the home Eugenie does not pay much attention to dogs although she likes to sleep with them and follow them around occasionally but will not interact with play.
Cats – Not tested but worth testing
In the home – Eugenie will hide if feels unsure of things. She is fine to be left alone for a few hours and feels more secure when left in crate. She will often take herself off for a lie down in the crate and it seems to be her ‘safe’ place. Toilet training is work in progress as, although Eugenie will go out garden if put out there, we still having quite a few accidents in house. Adopters will have to be prepared to work with Eugenie as living in a home is new to her.
Out and about – The great outdoors is all new to this little girl. She will walk short distance with a harness on but will freeze. This is something her adopters will have to be patient with and let Eugenie get used to things in her own time.
Type of home – We think Eugenie would be best homed in a quiet home with no small children. Eugenie could be rehomed with an older dog for company, but currently wont interact with play.
Eugenie is not neutered as she has just come out of season so commitment to neuter will be required and followed up. She will need some dental work at the same time. She is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
Jasmine is described by her foster mum as a funny old lady and at 14 years old why not. She appears to have been an only cat in her past life and will need to remain so when she finds her new home. Jasmine doesn’t really socialise she likes to know that you are there and this gives her comfort but she is her own lady and very independent. The funny thing is though despite being independent she likes to sleep on your bed all night. During the day Jasmine likes to spend her time looking out of the window or sleeping. She does however love to be brushed and is vocal in a nice way when she is brushed. Jasmine’s favourite food is Tuna. Overall Jasmine is a sweet natured, chilled kitty who loves being groomed and fussed on her own terms
Suki is a 7-month old Pug cross puppy who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She has had a rotten start in life and is having to learn to trust humans all over again.
People – . Suki is currently quite nervous and although she has improved greatly since she arrived she still needs lots of reassurance. She will need someone who can teach her the world can be fun and is happy for her to progress at her own pace.
Dogs – Suki loves being with the others within the house, she snuggles up with them and would definitely need another dog or two in her new home. She has not met any outsiders but we are sure she would be fine. She now eats her food in the kitchen with other dogs.
Cats – Suki lives happily with 3 cats
In the home – She’s nervous of sudden movements and will avoid hoover etc but is fine with tv and washing machine noises. She could live with older sensible children or young adults who understand nervous dogs. She has been left for short periods but would benefit from her humans being around most of the day. Suki will run around behind you wagging her tail like mad for attention but the second you reach out to her she’s gone. She won’t pass you in a doorway but will now happily jump up alongside you on the sofa and then enjoys a fuss, even nudging you with her nose for more if you stop too soon.
Out and about – Work in progress which her new home will need to work on. She is very nervous so this may be a slow progress and she would ideally need to be walked with another dog in a quiet area.
Type of home – Suki needs a new home with at least one kind resident dog to show her that not all humans are scary. She enjoys playing chase with the other dogs and then snuggling up to them for a nap. She is a really loving girl who just needs that extra bit of time to learn to trust. I’m sure there is a playful pup hidden under all the fear just waiting to come out.
Suki is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Suki does have a slight heart murmur which will need to be checked on her annual booster time, but causes no issues currently. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in RCT, South Wales.
Update: 05/03/2019 Suki moves to another foster home and her new foster mum comments about her: She’s so very nervous it’s heartbreaking to think of what she’s been through in her short life. She is rather partial to some chicken and cheese, not so fussed on her dried food even when soaked in gravy.
UPDATE 04/02/2019 Suki update my heart breaks she so wants to be your friend but has no courage still will not take any food out of your hand. If she can see you have anything in your hand she is gone. At some stage of her 7 months I know she has been beaten hence no good photos. But on the plus side she loves playing with my other dog’s when she wags her tail her whole body wags. She loves her food and is starting to play with toys or pegs or large stones if she is happy who cares. She sits next to me all night can then do anything with her and she loves it being gromed tickle belly but i can’t stand she makes a run for it. There must be someone to love her like we do.
Currently on foster in Berkshire under assessment. This is what her foster mum has to say about her journey so far
“Megan… is very shy with strangers but once she gets to know you she turns into little miss sunshine, always has a waggy tail and is pleased to see you, she loves nothing better than to sit on her humans knee for a cuddle and a belly scratch. Bright and playful this little miss will keep you amused with her mischievous antics for hours. She mouths your hands in play, so we’re currently working on this along with house training and lead walking. Megan is not quite ready to go to her forever home just yet but I don’t think it’ll be long before she can be adopted.”
Camilla is a 7-year old Scottish Terrier, who is being fostered in Berkshire. At times Camilla comes across as being a very serious dog, but she is very playful, loves her soft toys and often plays zoomies around the house.
People – Camilla is shy with strangers but loves you when she gets to know you. Again, very shy at first but doesn’t seem to be any more fazed by little people than big people. Loves a scratch behind her ears and is happy with you stroking her on her head and body.
Dogs – Camilla enjoys being with other dogs and will need a companion in her new home.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – Camilla has been left for up to 4 hours. She is not destructive in the home although she is still frightened of the vacuum cleaner. She’s been known to bark at the telly when a wildlife program comes on but her favourite is watching Paul O’Grady For the Love of Dogs. When she’s not cuddling up with her foster collie companion, she loves nothing better than to snuggle on your lap.
Out and about – Camilla is unsure of the outside world still and so lead training is ongoing. This gentle socialisation and training will have to be kept up in her new home.
Type of home – Camilla needs to be with a confident resident dog and would suit an active retired person or a family with older children. She needs someone who is prepared work on her training and socialisation as well as get her used to being a loved family companion.
Please remember, if you have a dog and it is not neutered, it is against our policies to re-home a dog with you.
Camilla is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Berkshire
Jennie is a 3-year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel who is being fostered in Stourbridge, West Midlands. She is just the most friendly dog in the world. She wants to go straight up to everyone she meets for a mega fuss (whether they want it or not!).
People: Jennie loves people and enjoys a fuss from everyone. As she is quite exuberant, she will only be rehomed where any children are aged 7 years and over.
Dogs: In her foster home she is fine with the other two foster dogs, although she can be a little possessive of foster mum and warn the others off on occasions. Outside the home she always wants to greet dogs but this has been kept to a minimum as she’s only just had her second vaccination.
Cats: Not tested with cats but will bark at any that come near her garden.
In the home: Jennie is quite happy to be left for about 3 hours as long as she is with another dog. Paper and tissues need to be out of reach as she has been known to chew them. She takes no notice of any household appliances and is housetrained in her foster home.
Type of home: A home with several people around to give her lots of fuss would be best for her. We feel that Jennie may become a bit possessive if she only lives with one person as she bonds very strongly to people. She is an active girl who adores attention. She loves laps and sharing a bed where possible.
Jennie is fully vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. Jennie cannot be spayed before the middle of January as she has only recently come out of season. If she was to be rehomed before that time it is a condition of adoption that she will be neutered (a discount voucher may be provided) and follow up checks will be done. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to her foster home to meet her in the West Midlands.
Update: I’ve had a busy day in the garden!
I fell in the pond because I’ve never seen one before, and Sha took the cover off to clean it! I was chasing the cat and I didn’t realise I couldn’t walk on water.
I shook myself off and I think Joey may have laughed at me!
I didn’t care though – the sun was shining and I love the garden so much I never want to go back inside – unless I get scared – then I run as fast as I can to get into the house!
I’m really good at steps now too – even though I had no idea how to get up or down them a few weeks ago!
Nige cut all the laws today – I’d never seen a lawnmower until today, but I wasn’t bothered a bit.
Spike and Joey had chicken feet this afternoon for their snack, I wanted one but I couldn’t eat it in the garden, I don’t like being still for very long when I’m outside – so Sha put one in the igloo and I had a quiet chew for half an hour.
I’m pretty exhausted now, too tired to play even, but I’ve got my purple velvet cushion – I LOVE velvet cushions – this one is huge – but I’m not sharing with Joey tonight – or Spike! I’m having it all to myself!
Update 11/3/2019: Today we are having a good day. I was allowed to catch him, stroke him, get a jumper on him and take him up the garden to play 😀
10 mins and he is shattered as he has no stamina and no muscle mass 😥but we are increasing play times by a few minutes each session
Update as of 1st December: Trying to get Poe to relax a little. This little boy is scared of every little noise. He spends all his time in his dog bed or running from every little movement and sound.
Just had to wash him as he dirties his self with fright, so put him with Patsy and Krissi as they cuddle some times when Patsy lumps herself on gentle Krissi.
__________________________________________
Meet the very scared little Poe. He is not used to living in a home or being around humans. Currently in foster in Wales being assessed.
At this time we feel he would be better off in a multi dog household with no pressure from humans on how to behave. No children home as he would find them to scary.
Tiny beautiful Bach came to us when he was found as a stray in Barry. He was a lovely, calm and confident little man – and we were determined to find the perfect forever friend for him.
Along comes Eevee – a feisty little lady who had lost her male friend and wanted a new bunny to play with.
Bonding was not straightforward with these two. Initially Eevee was curious, but certainly not convinced Bach was the bunny for her. However, Bach was cool as a cucumber and decided immediately he liked her. As with every human who ever met Bach, Eevee’s mum fell in love straight away and hoped that perseverance would convince her girl that Bach was indeed the perfect partner she’d been looking for.
Eevee was very territorial and not totally happy about this new man being on her turf. She wanted him as a friend but in true female fashion certainly wasn’t going to make it easy for him.
Bonding these two took around three months, but through the sheer hard work, determination and patience of Eevee’s wonderful mum they are now a happily bonded couple – living the perfect life together. As always, the FOAW rabbit team continued to offer support and advice throughout the bonding process for as long as it was needed.
We are so pleased for little Bach and Eevee and hope they have the happiest of lives together.
So you all know we love bunny bonding at FOAW, firmly believing that – apart from the odd exception (there’s always one isn’t there Mr Benjamin White?!) – rabbits are far happier with a friend of their own kind. And, although our bunny bonders are extremely experienced, it is always an anxious time (think parent hovering when youngest child brings first suitor home!). Will they like each other? Are they behaving themselves?! The only difference being our bonders are delighted to see licking of heads…. Parents I imagine not so much!!
Anyway, I’m rabbiting on…. Can you imagine our excitement when two lone bunnies did it all by themselves! Fabulous foster mum Leanne sets the scene:
“Mop was handed into FOAW after he was found as a stray in Porth. Straight away he was a friendly and calm fella, but he had matted fur, very long nails and slightly long teeth – all quickly sorted out with a visit to the vets (poor Mop got slightly more than he bargained for as we obviously took the opportunity to have him neutered!). However, he was a bit of a worry as he started to lose weight. Back to the vets, who did loads of tests which were all absolutely normal and it was put it down to him having gone through so much and being lonely.
Then along came Petra. She was surrendered to us by a lovely lady who had numerous animals and felt she could not give them the care they deserved, so selflessly contacted us. Petra was in good condition but very nervous”
Now I need to tell you that Leanne has simply the best set up for rabbits, and they all have loads of space to explore and binky around the garden. Leanne says that Mop was in his element but poor Petra was petrified of the large garden on her own and would hide under a hutch the whole time.
Leanne continues “Mop showed great interest in Petra, so I decided to introduce them, and they fell in love instantly. They still had their own separate runs but they would always spend time close to one another. Then one morning, I found Mop in Petra’s run, laying together – and that was that – they were an item – self bonded – obviously it was meant to be and Mop’s a determined little fella”.
Now Petra has Mop, she is becoming much braver and starting to enjoy life, and Mop continues to just be Mop! They are used to having the run of Foster Mum’s garden so have high demands when it comes to space to run about. The more space they have, the happier they are and they are simply a delight to watch enjoying playing with each other. Prepare for much time spent just watching rabbits!
They are both excellent hay eaters so, as with all rabbits, will need an endless supply. Mop will need to be brushed more than most rabbits because of his fabulous fur – or as Leanne puts it – long auburn flowing locks!
Mop and Petra are both fully vaccinated and spayed/neutered and are now looking for their perfect forever home together. So, if you’re looking for a ready made pair of extremely gorgeous rabbits, look no further – just click on the link below and fill in the adoption application form:

He loves to chase his toys and enjoys a dreamie treat. He gets on with other cats and is fine with children. Millie and Misty are now ready to start looking for their forever home. They are around seven or eight months old and are total sweethearts. Their foster mum describes them as being cheeky and adorable. Millie is the chatty one, she loves a good heart to heart about poetry, philosophy or politics (she’s pro cat, lukewarm dog and pro chicken for breakfast). Misty is the funny one, loves laps and if she thinks that you should be giving her more fuss she will climb up your jeans and demand it! She was the shyer at first but is now a proper diva. Playful with the other kittens and will listen to your woes with a non-judgemental ear. Fluffy’s coat is a little longer that Misty’s but Misty literally wears her heart on her sleeve and will adore her new forever humans.
Stand back and form an orderly queue for these 9 week old flufftastic monsters Ginny and Hermione. These gorgeous girls need to be rehomed together as they are bonded sisters. They are not quite ready yet but we are taking enquiries. Ginny is more confident than her sister Hermione who will need someone very patient and willing to accept her as a shy puss in boots. She will come around as she loves to play but will take time hence why she needs her sister for support. Ginny is a lap kitten, and very sociable. They are finding their feet and growing and playing more and more every day.
Mandy is a 4-year old Pug cross who is being fostered in the Midlands. She loves everyone and will try to get attention from everyone she meets. She does enjoy barking at the tv if there is a dog on there!

Please remember, if you have a dog and it is not neutered, it is against our policies to re-home a dog with you.
Mandy is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Mandy has not been neutered so it is a condition of adoption that her adopters arrange to have her neutered as soon as advised by the vet. Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, at least 1 resident dog
Fostered In: Gwent
Lark is a 10 month old Pug cross who is being fostered in Gwent, South Wales She is a very well adjusted and confident girl. She doesn’t appear nervous but she does enjoy the company of other dogs and we think she needs that interaction with another resident dog.
People – Lark is very friendly towards all adults and children she has met. Always wagging her tail and running up and greeting people, Lark loves cuddling and will snuggle up but is also happy to then go into her bed when she’s ready. She can be touched and smoothed all over her body and has no issues
Dogs – Lark is very sociable and friendly with all dogs both the ones she lives with and when meeting dogs out on walks. She wags her tail and runs up to them to greet them whatever their age, sex or size. She is very confident with all dogs. Lark enjoys playing with and chewing her toys and willingly shares her toys.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – Lark is happy to be left for up to 4 to 5 hours a day. She is not destructive at all and just settles down and sleeps. Lark loves to look out of the lounge window and watch and bark at the world going by but she isn’t a persistent barker by any means and it’s quite endearing. Lark gives a lovely welcome when you return from a few hours out. Lark then likes to snuggle and cuddle in for the evening.
Out and about – Lark gets very excited to go for a walk and thoroughly enjoys her walks. She walks very well on a lead. She does not pull at all and spends a lot of time just sniffing around and walking leisurely taking in her surroundings.
Type of home – Lark is very confident and sociable and would fit well into most homes. She would get on with any type of dog and person but an active home would probably be best
Lark is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Gwent
Zoe is around two and a half and has had an awful life so far. She has already had at least 4 litters of kittens after her previous owners moved and left her behind. She’s been spayed, vaccinated and chipped and is now ready for her future in a loving home to begin. She would like eventually to go outside as she loves to sit in the window and watch the world go by. She is great with humans very loving and friendly but will stick up for herself if they annoy her too much. She doesn’t really interact with the other cats but if they don’t bother her she won’t bother them so would either need to be only pet or with confident pets. She loves to play and will chase a ball or just race around.
Lara is a 3-year old Kokoni cross who is being fostered in Newport. She is an adorable and loving dog, who loves the company of other dogs and people. She is a Cypriot by birth and has all the appropriate paperwork and passport.
People – Lara loves a fuss and snuggling up on the sofa with people and accepts people and children in to her home with minimum fuss.
Dogs – Lara loves being in the company of other dogs and is happiest when off lead, running in the fields and woods with her doggy friends. Ideally, she should live with other dogs.
Cats – Lara comes from a household with cats and is absolutely fine with them.
In the home – Lara is house trained and doesn’t mind being left for a few hours, provided she has doggie company and can see out the window. She loves sitting on the windowsill and watching the world go by.
Out and about – Lara loves her walks and being out and about in general. She greets other dogs and people well.
Type of home – Lara is very well adjusted and would suit a house with children and other dogs. Potential owners should be prepared to be able to let her walk, run and play in a range of fields and wooded environments.
Lara is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Newport.
Alice is a 5-year old West Highland Terrier who is being fostered in Somerset. She is an optimistic and happy little dog, more than ready to put her previous life completely behind her. She loves attention from people once she’s got to know them, and will do her little frog legs wiggle when she is really happy.
People – Alice seems very happy around people. She will put her paws on you up a lot and actively asks for a fuss. She is a bit shy about being picked up but does seem to enjoy it, she’s not too sure what to do if you put her on your lap, but she enjoys the contact. Alice likes to roll on her back and have her tummy tickled once she knows you. Alice has sore ears, she likes a little rub and will probably enjoy that more once they are better. She still cowers a bit when having the lead clipped onto the harness on her back, and when you bend down to fuss her on her back or if you take her by surprise she will flatten herself to the floor a little bit, but generally she likes a fuss.
Dogs – Alice seems to be generally very good with other dogs. Out and about she shows interest and sniffed and walked well with others. She won’t yet join in with play with them with raggy toys, but she will run behind her foster friends as they run through the house, and sometimes she’ll do an extra little lap of victory!
Cats – Alice will chase cats
In the home – Alice is not keen on being left. She likes to get up and follow her person around the house and be involved in everything. We don’t think she has separation anxiety but it would be wise for her new family to get her used to being left from the start as she does bond and want to be a part of everything very quickly. Alice doesn’t bark yet, but her ears are pricked and she’s interested if she thinks something is going on. She can’t quite reach it here, but she would love to have a window seat to keep an eye on everybody. Alice is a very quick learner, and will adapt to rules about food manners very quickly. She gives more love than she takes with her people. Alice does love a cosy armchair and will spend the day happily snoozing – she is very easy to have around.
Out and about – Alice enjoys her walks and being out and about in general. She is tolerant of the people and dogs she meets.
Type of home – Alice might be best in an adult only home unless the children were very dog / terrier savvy and there was no chance that they would accidentally touch her sore legs. We think she would like someone round most of the time, but could cope with part time workers if there was a routine and she knew what to expect. Alice would benefit from someone with knowledge of Westies to give her the best care regarding her skin and diet, and to recognise that lots of her growly bits are just her being a terrier.
Alice is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Somerset.
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, but not old dogs!
Fostered In: Rhondda, South Wales
Name: Wilf
Age: 15 months
Breed: Spaniel X
Can I live with Children?: Teenagers
Can I live with cats?: Not cats please
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, but not old dogs!
Fostered In: Rhondda, South Wales
Wilf is a 15-month old Spaniel cross who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. He is a typical playful pup. Wilf has poor vision and has had a couple of seizures possibly due to a head trauma suffered as a younger puppy. His seizures seem to be monthly so he needs someone who’s calm and won’t panic as they only last about a minute and then he’s disorientated for about 15 minutes after before he’s back to normal.
People – Wilf loves all people. He loves all contact and especially cuddles and lap time. As a puppy he is very playful so teenage children who are happy to play ball with him would be fantastic. He may be a bit boisterous for really small children.
Dogs – Yes he is friendly with dogs of different sizes and breeds. As a pup he may be too much for older, less mobile dogs
Cats – No cats please.
In the home – As Wilf has previously has some seizures it would be better if he was not left for long periods. He is not destructive at all and is happy to play with and share his toys with others. As will all owners of puppies know, it is best not to leave hanging wires, clothes and other temptations for Wilf. He will try to test boundaries so he will need a family that are prepared to work with him. They may also need to adjust their day to day routines a little – don’t leave things in easy reach on the worktops etc and keep an eye on him so he doesn’t pinch the cutlery out of the sink. Once Wilf gets an idea in his head there is no shifting it and he will test boundaries.
Out and about – Wilf walks well on the lead. He is nervous of large lorries or bin lorries. He enjoys a game of chase with the other dogs and also playing ball with his human friends although he’s not yet giving it back for you to throw again. He loves to explore and sniff off lead in woodlands if there’s nothing about as he gets very frightened if off lead dogs run up to him and will bolt.
Type of home – Wilf would suit a wide range of homes but would need a family where he is not left for long periods of time. He can live with or without another dog and would like walks away from too much traffic. He likes a large garden that he can potter around and play and a comfy sofa to curl up on of an evening. Older children are fine but he may be too bouncy for younger ones. A family who can accept that Wilf is essentially handicapped and like any dog he will need to be given time to settle and not be a ready made fit.
Wilf is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, at least 1 other calm dog

Mindy is an tiny sweetheart. Although not very vocal she loves a fuss and a cuddle and her idea of heaven is to be curled up on your chest nuzzling your neck. Her tail never stops wagging and this underlines her pleasant personality
People – Mindy is happy around people and loves to be fussed and cuddles. As she is quiet in nature we think she might be slightly unnerved by really young children
Dogs – Mindy is relaxed and happy around other dogs
Cats – Not tested
In the home – Mindy’s house training is nearly complete and we only have the odd mistake. She does not play with toys and prefers to curl up in a bed, on a settee or the nearest available lap.
Out and about – The big outside world is still strange and scary for Mindy and she is not keen on leads walking so her new family must be prepared to work at her pace.
Type of home – Mindy needs a quiet home with one or two confident resident dogs to help with her rehabilitation. She needs a family that is prepared to invest time and effort and will cherish the love and affection she gives in return.
Mindy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes,smaller ones please

Megan is a delightful little West Highland Terrier who is being fostered in Worcester. She is 4 years old and loves watching dogs on TV. She always greets her foster mom excitedly when she returns. Megan loves having her tummy rubbed and will grunt contentedly like a little porker.
People – Megan is quite comfortable around adults and is relaxed enough to lie down next to them without prompting. She is fearful of children under 10.
Dogs – Megan is happy around most dogs except large boisterous ones. Small boisterous are fine.
Cats – Megan is not sure what cats are but the chase instinct seems to be there
In the home – Megan is happy to be left for short periods. She is initially fearful of loud noises around the home but soon gets used to them.
Out and about – Megan enjoys being out and is very confident on her lead. She needs recall training.
Type of home – Megan needs a quiet home with a family who has plenty of time for cuddles. She’s very “mommy” orientated so we think she doesn’t necessarily need to be rehomed with another dog.
Megan is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Gloucester
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes, at least one resident dog please

Betty is a 6-year old Cavalier King Charles, who is being fostered in Newport, South Wales. She is snorer and a typical little lap dog who wags her tail every time you walk into a room unless she’s following right behind you.
People – Betty is good with both sexes and all ages after getting to know them. Betty is happiest when she has adult company around. She loves human attention but still cowers sometimes when you stroke her but this is becoming less often now.
Dogs – Betty is fine with other dogs and doesn’t really bother with them but does need the company of another dog.
Cats – Betty is not interested in cats.
In the home – Betty shows no signs of separation anxiety and isn’t destructive at all. She is scared of most normal everyday noises, which is expected, but her reactions to them are good and obviously will get better over time. Her house training is a work in progress but she has been clean for some time. Betty likes to suck blankets and just generally be with you as much as possible. She is very loving and affectionate. Betty is a typical cavalier who is very food driven but not at all possessive or aggressive. She is a happy older girl who’s tail is always wagging when she gets to know you and is full of kisses. Betty has a Grade 3 heart murmur but is not on medication
Out and about – Betty enjoys a drive in the car and she is progressing well on the lead. She is indifferent to the dogs she meets and is slow to approach people. She loves nothing more than to cuddle up to you and spend her day sleeping but also likes a little explore on her lead for a sniff as long as it isn’t too far. Walks are still new to her and when she gets tired she asks to be picked up.
Type of home – Betty needs someone who is home most of the time as she loves human company. She needs another dog but an older not bouncy dog as she is a tiny 4.8 kilos and not at all playful. If she is homed with children then they must be over 5 as she is an older girl who deserves a nice quiet easy life. A nice quiet home with the odd walk and day out would be ideal.
Betty is not neutered as she has just come out of season so commitment to neuter will be required and followed up. She is chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Newport, South Wales
Tilly is an 8-month old Jack Russell Terrier, who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She has a beautiful loving nature and she loves to cuddle.
People – Tilly loves all people and will even go back to folk she doesn’t think have fussed her enough. Because of her past life she loves attention and will jump up when excited which may cause problems around smaller children. She really is a sweetheart and is at her happiest sitting with her human.
Dogs – Tilly lives with dogs at the moment without any issues
Cats – Not tested
In the home – Tilly’s toilet training is a work in progress. She is doing very well but will not wait! Tilly is very food orientated which makes her easy to train but beware of low flying Tilly if there is food about. She loves to play with paper and will rip it into tiny pieces. She has bags of energy and loves zooming around the bungalow in laps tossing her toys in the air as she goes. Tilly is fascinated by any animals on TV and looks around the back to see where they have gone when they have gone off the screen!
Out and about – Tilly walks well on her lead. She does get excited when she sets off but soon calms down. Tilly tends to get car sick on long journeys
Type of home – We would recommend a busy household for Tilly with older children because of her jumping. She would be fine with another dog for company. Her new owners should have puppy training knowledge and understand that because of her poor start in life she is extra needy.
Tilly is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
Princess Lilly is 6 months old and is super ready for her forever home. She’s been spayed and is up to date with flea and wormer. Lilly really needs to be with a family who is home a lot of the time or with other playful cats. She absolutely adores people and company and would be very lonely on her own if the grown up slaves were working long hours. She is a darling little girl who is confident but needs cats that will cwtch her or slaves to cwtch her. She is very needy for constant human contact but she will also cwtch with other cats if the humans are busy. This young lay is going to be someone’s shadow and best friend
Can I live with other dogs?: Yes please. Other dogs a must
Fostered In: Cornwall
Belle is a four-year old British Bulldog who is being fostered in Cornwall. She has the loudest snore we have ever heard! You can hear her snoring through the floor. She loves her food and will do all she can to have a sneaky bite of whatever you have to eat but this will have to be limited as it is important to keep an eye on her figure.
People – Belle loves as much attention as possible and will get on your lap if not getting enough attention. She loves children and tolerates small children fussing her.
Dogs – Belle loves all other dogs
Cats – Not interested until they run then she will chase, but not officially cat tested.
In the home – Belle chews when bored. She will chew table corners if left without stimulation and she thoroughly enjoys dismantling books from the book shelf so don’t use the bottom shelf! Plenty of things to occupy her seem to work as a distraction. She can be left for short periods with no problem. Belle loves watching dogs on tv and is happiest on your lap and being involved in anything you do. She enjoys opening and unwrapping presents especially if they contain a ball or other doggy toys. They get ripped to shreds quickly but they are great while they last. She sits on your feet and snorts for attention.
Out and about – Belle loves being out and will pull with excitement and if a car goes by as she likes to chase them. This is being worked on in her foster home and further training will be required in her new home. Belle loves walks and she will walk about 2/3 miles a day and enjoys games in the garden. She’s very active for a bulldog.
Type of home – Belle loves other dogs and would benefit from having a doggy friend or 2 in her new house, especially if she was to be left at all. She adapts well to situations and is such a happy lovely natured dog we feel she would fit well in most homes. Her new family MUST be prepared to keep her weight in check and ensure she stays below 24kg to maintain her current good health. Belle would like a home where she can be the centre of someone’s universe and be their baby and have loves ALL day long!!
Belle is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Cornwall.
