Clara D2025-43

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Not reacted to seeing cats

Clara is 6 year old Cocker Spaniel who loves people. She is happy and friendly with visitors to the foster home.

Vet history to be discussed.

She has not met any children, but would probably be fine with older dog savvy children who will give her space to adjust.

She is not cat tested, but has not reacted on seeing the resident cat.

Clara is not interested in toys and is not bothered by other dogs.

Clara is happy to have a harness on and travels well in the car. She is not currently keen on walking and just stops when she doesn’t want to go any further. This is a work in progress and she will do better in a home when she is settled and bonded with the resident dog..

She currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs, curled up on the sofa with her bestie foster sister.

Clara is house-trained and always goes out to the garden. There has been an occasional accident overnight but by the back door where she has needed to go out.

Clara knows to eat just her food and leave others alone whilst they are eating there are no guarding issues.

Clara would love a quieter home with a resident dog where she can sleep lots and have lots of cuddles. She is fine with other dogs but is also happy on her own as long as she has a human around most the time. She does not play much but loves cuddles and snuggling and giving confidence to her nervous foster sister. She would love access to a garden and trips out but not too keen on walks yet.

Primrose D2025-52

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Older dog savvy children
  • Owners who will give her time to come out of her shell

Primrose is a 4 year old Bichon described by her foster family as a nervous little girl around people. She will run to a place of safety and assess from a safe distance. Once she trusts it is safe she will sneak out for a sniff, and that’s when you get to slowly stroke her.

Once she gains your trust as she has with her foster mum you can approach slowly and she will roll on her back for tummy rubs. And once picked up she really enjoys the closeness and cuddles and just relaxes.

She has not been out on a walk yet as she has only had her 1st Vaccination. She is fine with a harness on in the garden, but not a lover of the lead being attached. So patient pawrents, lots of praise and nice treats are required. Another dog will most definitely help with this part too.She

She has not been around children in the foster home, but due to her being nervous, we would say older dog Savvy children aged 10+ would be best.

Not cat or small furry tested.

She doesn’t know how to play with toys, even though foster mum sits on the floor and tries to encourage her, but she is just not interested at the moment. We are confident in the right home and once settled she will be a different little girl.

Primrose sleeps in the kitchen on a dog bed all night with the other dog in foster. During the day she will find a quiet corner to relax and sleep.

Toilet training is a work in progress and foster mum leaves the back door open so she can go out when she needs the toilet. There has been the odd accident but this is improving.

She is fine eating around other dogs

Primrose needs a quiet, family home, where there isn’t a lot of hustle and bustle. She needs to be with another dog who will help her become the happy dog she deserves to be. She is spooked by any sudden movements.

Needs another dog

Denis D2025-48

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Fine with dog savvy cats
  • Dog savvy children
  • Active home
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Dennis is an amazing 19 week old Collie cross who is full of beans and ready to start adventuring. He loves other dogs and is good with children, but due to his age and baby shark teeth, it’s recommended he be homed with children 4 and over.

Dennis is a happy but anxious boy who loves a fuss and play. He’s happy to meet new people as long as they are not overbearing. Its better that he comes to them rather than hovering over him.

Dennis is cat curious but harmless and just wants to play with them.

Dennis loves his toys but loves playing with other dogs even more, and gains his confidence from them.

Dennis has been fine on a harness or collar in the garden. He hasn’t been out and about yet due to his vaccination status.

Dennis is crate trained and sees this as his safe space.

Dennis is mostly house trained. As he’s still young, he sometimes forgets that he needs to go outside, especially if he gets carried away with indoor play. A good routine and positive reward for doing well will help with his mishaps.

Dennis would benefit from having a slow feeder in his new home, as he enjoys his food a little too much. There is no aggression with food, but he does like to pinch other dogs’ food if they are not looking.

Dennis would fit in well in most homes as long as they are active. He loves being active due to his breed and needing a lot of exercise and play time. He would also benefit from being with another dog as a playmate and adventure buddy.

Oreo D2025-00

  • Can be an only dog with doggy friends
  • Can also live with other dogs
  • Fine with cats
  • No small children
  • Active home

To be adopted on a neutering agreement and would benefit from attending puppy or training school.

Oreo is a 10 month old working cocker spaniel that needs to learn boundaries as he flies around the house and is very busy. He hasn’t had much training before coming to rescue so it’s best he not to be homed with tiny children as he could easily knock them over whilst doing zoomies in and out of the house.

He had a wobbly start and has recovered from Parvo so does have a sensitive stomach but this is being managed by consistent feeding and no treats with no issues.

Oreo is a typical working cocker, he is like a whirlwind wherever he goes, he loves seeing everyone and anything and tries to get around everyone in the home as quickly as he can with as much enthusiasm as he can. His tail is a helicopter the whole day, and he loves running and playing in fields.

Oreo lives with a cat and ignores him.

Oreo loves toys and will happily play with other dogs with or without toys.

When out he will initially pull but then walks well and loves exploring on walks with his spaniel nose to the ground.

Oreo currently sleeps upstairs, but has been previously left in the kitchen.

He is house trained but any new home should be tolerant of accidents in a new environment initially.

Oreo is fine eating around other dogs and shows no resource guarding issues.

Oreo needs a very active home willing to tire him out physically and mentally. A home with people around the majority of the day to keep him busy. He could live with or without another dog. He needs a home with experience of high energy levels of a working cocker or training of working breeds would be an advantage. He is a young dog who is full of beans and wants to explore- he is ready for someone to come and be his forever adventure buddy.

Florrie D2025-44

  • Needs a resident dog
  • Children 5 and over
  • Would benefit from attending puppy class

Florrie is a 10 month old Westie who loves people and is very friendly. She loves to play with toys and attempts to get the other dogs in her foster home to play with her without much success.

She can be homed with dog savvy children 5 and over. She is quite bouncy and may knock small children over.

She is nervous of cats and goes into panic mode and screams if they come to close to her.

She enjoys being out and about and is doing very well on walks. She prefers to wear a harness when out and about.

She currently sleeps on the bed with the other dogs

House training is a work in progress, but she is doing well with very few accidents.

She is a bit of a bowl surfer when being fed, so she needs to be watched or fed separately so she doesn’t steal others’ food. She will stop if told, and there is no food aggression.

Flo would like a home with another dog who will help her come out of her shell and gain confidence. She doesn’t like being left and doesn’t like a crate. She would like an active family who will take her out and about on adventures.

Dougie D2024-79

  • Can be an only dog with doggy friends
  • Can live with another young playful dog
  • Not bothered with resident cat
  • Would benefit from attending classes

Dougie is a year old Yorkie Cross described by his foster family as an inquisitive dog who oozes personality. He is very playful and shows great interest in soft toys and balls. He loves his other resident dogs and is eager to greet any dogs he sees on his travels. Whilst he loves lots of human cuddles and attention, he is very wary of people he has never met before, and tends to shy away as he is unsure especially if you try to pick him up. Once he trusts you he will boop you with his nose for a fuss.

He has improved while walking on a lead but would benefit from attending classes. He travels well in the car, and his favourite place is the beach. He loves chasing the ball and will bring it back, but he doesn’t quite understand the need to drop the ball for it to be thrown again. He loves the water and puddles and gets so excited that he will start doing zoomies.

Dougie barks at the resident cat in his foster home but hasn’t been near enough to know if he’s just playing.

Dougie can be rehomed with dog savvy children over 7 years old.

He shows no aggression towards other dogs when being fed collectively but prefers to eat alone so he can relax as he’s eating. If he sees another resident dog with a chew he will sit and bark at them, despite having his own.

He currently sleeps on owners bed with other dogs and will sometimes snuggle for company.

If he needs the toilet during the night he will wake me by walking on me to let me know.

He loves to chew so anything harmful or valuable needs to be placed out of reach.

As he is full of energy he would benefit from an active household who can give him the stimulation he requires. He would benefit from another resident dog but one who can match his energy and is happy to play . In the right home he could go as an only dog as he likes as much attention as he can get from the humans so an active home with doggy friends to have play dates with would be good and people home a lot to give him the training time and love he needs.

Tortoiseshell female

1 year old

Fostered in Cardiff

Fine with cat savvy dogs

Would prefer to be the only cat

Munchkin is an extremely affectionate female tortoiseshell. Just 1 year old and she craves a soothing hand and an ear tickle. Despite having a litter of kittens at a very early age she’s in good condition with a silky smooth coat. She’s a very curious cat and enjoys kneading bread whilst having a little chat.

Munchkin’s favourite things are to be nursed on her back like a baby, eat chicken and sniff catnip. She loves being outside so would need a home with a catflap.

Munchkin loves human company so much that she’d prefer to be an only cat and is comfortable with cat savvy dogs. P.S. She’s a purr machine.

Tinkerbelle C2025-02

Too timid for dogs

Can be homed with other friendly cats or on her own

Hi, I’m Tinks! As you can see, sleeping is my main activity 😴 and I’m very good at it! Even though I like to lounge around, I’m happiest when I can walk in and out of the house so I’m definitely not an indoor cat.

I do like company and I’ll always be where my humans are. I tolerate being picked up for a few seconds but it’s not my favourite thing. Apart from that I’m super friendly. when I have to sleep outside the bedroom I make sure I come on the bed first thing in the morning for an extended cuddle. I also love to play with toys, use my litter tray well and may be amenable to other cats in the house if they’re friendly 😀

Letty C2025-01

8 years old

Fostered in Aberdare

Fine with very quiet calm cats and dogs

Hi everyone!

My name is Letty and I’m a beautiful ginger and white cat who’s looking for her forever home. I love humans and always want to curl up with my foster parents wherever they are. This includes sleeping with them at night and helping out in the kitchen. I’m very food motivated and currently on my weight loss journey so new owners will have to be strict with my diet even when I ask for food so adorably.

I love lounging around on soft carpets or in the sun and also like to tuck myself in bed for a snooze. I was an only cat for a long time so I like a chilled quiet environment without other boisterous cats around. I could settle with other calm pets who would allow me my space. I don’t scratch the furniture and use my litter tray nicely. I have much love to give and would be a perfect fit for a home looking for a low maintenance cuddle partner.

Letty is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, uses a scratching post and is up to date with flea and worm treatment.

Matilda D2025-177

  • Needs a resident dog of a similar size
  • Not cat tested
  • Children 10 and over
  • Poodle experienced home

Matilda is a 5 year old miniature poodle who is amazing with her foster mum but will back away when new people come into the home. Once visitors are seated she will approach them, hoping to be picked up for cuddles and snuggles. She is a lovely little girl who follows her foster mum everywhere. She watches everything, as she doesn’t want to miss out on any yummy treats.

If foster mum is sitting in a chair, Matilda will put her paws on the cushion or tap foster mum with her paw to be picked up. She likes to jump on the chair as soon as foster mum gets off to sit in her warm spot, waiting for her to return.

She loves the garden and enjoys sitting listening to all the new sounds and smells and will often try to get you to play chase with her by zooming past and looking at you.

Children 10 and over.

Not cat or small furry tested.

She tries to chase a ball but doesn’t really know what to do with it. She has taken squeaky soft toys to her bed for a cuddle.

Matilda is doing really well in the garden with a harness and lead attached under supervision. Walking outside in the big wide world will come once she feels settled.

Matilda sleeps on the sofa or dog bed in the living room during the day, and in an open crate at night.

She is house-trained and is encouraged to go to the garden regularly.

Matilda is fine eating around other dogs, and takes treats from your hand gently.

Matilda would suit a quiet family with a resident dog of a similar size and a knowledge of, or poodle experience. She would fit into most families who have the time and patience to help her adjust to being a family pet.

Mia D2025-36

• Not cat or small furry tested
Mia is a two-and-a-half-year-old Schnauzer described by her foster family as being fine with people in the home. Sudden movements scare her, and she will run to a safe place if unsure. She will join once she feels comfortable. Once happy she enjoys tummy rubs and her head stroked, and will give cuddles when ready.
She enjoys the garden, and when she sees foster mum, she gets excited and has a waggy tail, then stands on her hind legs for a little dance. If foster mum claps her hands gently she approaches and gives foster mum a lick on her hand, she gets praised and has a treat which she will take very gently.
Objects of value like a mobile phone and remote control must be kept out of reach as she will take them. She is still learning what are her toys and what are not.

Shadow D2025-34
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• Can also live with other dogs
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Could live with dog savvy children
• Would benefit from attending puppy school
Shadow is a 1-year-old cavalier described by his foster mum as a real people lover. He loves a fuss and a cuddle.
He could be homed with dog savvy children as he is very playful and loving but beware as a puppy, he is still learning what are his toys are what are not. So if the children in the home leave toys and shoes etc lying around, they will be fair game.
Not cat or small furry tested
Shadow is just learning to play with toys and thinks any object he can get his paws on is a toy so he needs to learn what he can and can’t play with. He loves sharing toys with other dogs and is happy to carry a cuddly toy around with him.
Shadow is getting used to having a harness and lead on and learning lead walking in the garden. He is doing quite well and will need lots of practice and encouragement.
He currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs in the house, in a dog bed or on the sofa.
House training is a work in progress. There is usually an accident overnight in the kitchen but this is improving and he is being praised every time he toilets in the garden.
He enjoys his food and loves his treats taking them off to his bed to enjoy. He is learning to eat from just one bowl and knows to leave others alone when they are eating.
Shadow would love an active home where he can learn how to be a pet dog. He could be an only dog with doggy friends or live with other playful dogs. He would love someone to take him to puppy class and take him on walks where he can meet and play with other dogs.

Chance D2025-3
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• He can also live with other dogs
• Not cat tested
• Dog savvy children
Chance is a 3 year old Schnauzer who loves people and other dogs. He adores his cuddles (with humans), and will fidget and snuggle until he is as close as possible. He loves to give kisses and wants to be stroked and have his paw held at the same time. He is just the most adorable scruff bag ever. He is just like Sprocket from Fraggle Rock, but a mini version and is a real character.
He can be homed with dog savvy children.
He is not cat tested but could probably homed with dog savvy cats.
Chance is just learning to play with toys. Anything he can get his teeth and paws on is a toy to be chewed so he is currently learning toys in the toy box can be played with and chewed to death, remote controls, glasses and car keys are not toys. He has a lot to learn but he is a quick learner and the way he just looks at you with those eyebrows all quizzical just melts your heart and makes you laugh.
He is doing really well getting used to wearing a harness and lead he is not afraid of it and sees it as something exciting is happening, even if it is a trip to vets. He is not great walking on the lead yet and will need a lot of patience and guidance on a short lead until he can learn to respond to commands and walk in a straight line.
He currently sleeps downstairs on the sofa with the other dogs. As long as there are toys left out and all expensive items have been moved to a safe place, there should not be too much damage caused. He is starting to sleep more at night instead of being a midnight hooligan. He does not chew furniture, just portable devices.
Toilet training is a work in progress. There is an occasional accident overnight and usually in the kitchen. He gets praised for going to toilet in the garden and responds well to praise, he really wants to please his humans.
He loves all other dogs and is fine eating just his food. He may swap dishes with his bestie as they are fed together but he knows not to approach others if they are eating and he knows no-one will take his food.
He would love an active family home where he has lots of fun and outings but also gets training to be a good boy. He would adore puppy classes as he learns quickly and wants to please you. He loves having fun so a home with people around a lot of the time, other dogs to play with or friends to have pupdates with are ideal. He will then enjoy lots of cuddles at the end of the day. Having Chance around you can’t help smiling and laughing.

He can be homed with older dog Savvy children, who will give him his own space.
He is not cat or small furry tested.
Otis doesn’t know how to play with toys, but will pinch toys that are lying around.
He has not been out for walks yet but has been practicing in the garden and is doing well. When he has bonded with his family and has settled things can progress in this area.
Otis sleeps on the sofa or dog bed during the day, and during the night he sleeps in an open crate in the bedroom. Where he sleeps through the night.
Otis isn’t fully house trained. It is a work in progress where he is praised for doing well and is slowly getting there.
He is fine eating around other dogs, with no guarding issues.
Otis would suit a family who is not overly noisy and who would give him his own space, when he needs it. He will need patient pawrents to help him thrive. He is a handsome boy and deserves the best. He will need another dog to show him the ropes and encourage him on his new journey in life.

• Needs a resident dog to learn from
• No to cats or children
• Owners with experience of rescue dogs
Kala is a 5 yr old westie who doesn’t feel ready to interact with the world just yet! She prefers sitting and watching the world go by.
Due to her nature we feel it is best to find her forever home so she can have the stability to settle and start to explore her surroundings.
Kala absolutely needs a kind resident dog to show her the ropes and a very understanding family that will allow her to explore at her own pace.
Kala needs carrying outside where she will do her business but is just as eager to come back to the safety of her bed.
She is comfortable sitting on the sofa with you and gives a gentle lick every now and then.
Due to her nervous nature, no residing children and a quiet home to allow her time to adjust
People who have experience of rescue dogs that need time is a must with Kala as it may take her a while before she feels brave enough to start enjoying and exploring the world. Jimmy D2022-22
• Needs a resident playful dog
• Older dog savvy children
• No cats
Jimmy is a 3-year-old miniature Dachshund who is a real cuddler and people lover. He is a little unsure at first but soon comes around. He will initially bark at strangers who enter the home and may do a nervous wee on greeting but not every time.
He has quickly adjusted to a harness and walks beautifully with the resident dog. He is happy to be out and about and okay meeting new people when strutting his stuff. He can bark when he first goes out but is just happy to be out.
Jimmy is not cat tested as there are none in his foster home. He does however show an interest when he sees them at a distance. He loves chasing things so probably best not to.
Dog Savvy children 7 and over.
Jimmy is in foster with a dog of a similar age who is very playful and they absolutely love racing around the house and garden. He will also play on his own and likes to select a multitude of toys from the toy box to test until he has found the right one for his mood. He also loves chasing a ball and almost brings it back for you to throw again.
Currently he sleeps with Foster mum and the resident dog on foster mum’s bed and sometimes in the bed. He loves to scuba dive under the duvet.
He is house trained and given lots of garden breaks and wee before bed. He is ready to go straight out in the garden in the morning. He will sometimes have a little leak when picked up (eg to go to bed as no steps) but not every time. He just needs time to settle and adjust to the family home.
Has a great appetite. Finishes his own food. Both dogs then check out each other’s bowls. He loves a treat.
Jimmy is a young dog and needs at least 1 other dog in the home as a playmate and companion. He enjoys a walk or playtime with other dogs AND his people but then enjoys a snooze. He could live with a family or older people. Not particularly a very active sporty home but not really left at home all day even with another dog. He can be left for short periods but is happiest when his human and dog friends are all home.

Ember D2025-04
• Can be an only dog with owners around most of the time
• Can also live with another dog
• No cats
• No children or older teenage children
Ember is an 18-month-old Cavalier described by her foster family as a people lover but is a bit jumpy and skittish at first. The way to her heart is through food, then she will be friends. It takes her longer to warm up to men than women but food is the way to her heart. Whilst out walking she is very interested in the people around her and will often stop and look at someone but if approached she will back away. If that new person has treats or is given treats and waits for her to come to them she will say hello and this has worked successfully several times. Like most dogs she does not like strangers leaning or towering over her. They need to approach her on her level.
Ember would prefer a quieter, calmer home with adults or older dog savvy teenagers. She becomes very stressed in a noisy busy household. Walking outside she has shown no reaction to children. She has walked past several playgrounds and schools, she would just prefer not to be in close company with them as it’s less stressful for her.
Cannot be homed with cats
Ember is in foster with a much larger older dog who will only play with her when she feels like it. Ember is fine with this. She loves to play with another dog but is equally happy to play with her toys and chews alone. She will also play tug with her foster family. She is lovely around the resident dog but not reliant on her company.
Ember goes out for two walks a day, morning and evening and absolutely loves being out and about. She goes alone as her foster sister isn’t up for long treks anymore and Ember is quite happy to go without the company of another dog. She’s a little chaotic when we first leave, weaving from smell to smell so you need to be careful she doesn’t trip you up but she soon settles down. She would however benefit from further training on the lead. If foster mum stops to chat whilst out and about she is very well behaved and will sit and wait until she’s finished. She is happy to meet polite well behaved dogs and is very polite in return. She will however shy away from in your face dogs and is wary of big dogs and is reluctant to say hello. This is getting better as long as they are calm. She loves going to cafes and having more treats!
Ember sleeps in a covered crate in the living room with the resident dog in the same room. She sleeps very well, usually from around 10.30pm to 8 the next morning. We suspect she would also be one of those dogs who’d love to sleep near their humans if allowed.
Ember is house trained but doesn’t signal so needs to be let out regularly.
Ember is VERY food oriented and very greedy!. We would recommend a slow feeder and if fed by another dog she needs to be watched so she doesn’t steal food. It’s easier to feed separately if possible. Both dogs are given treats together at the same time and Ember is very good sitting and waiting for her turn.
Ember has not had the best start in life and the last couple of months have been somewhat disruptive for her so she is looking for stability and love more than anything. She needs a family who are prepared to put in the work to make her the well-rounded dog she is capable of being. She would like an active family who will take her on adventures and lovely walks as she loves being outside. A home that is not too busy or noisy so she can settle in calmly. She can be homed with another dog who likes to play but is also calm and wouldn’t mind sharing their people and toys with a new sister. She can also be homed as an only dog as she loves her people and bonds with them pretty quickly. They would need to be prepared to have her as a little shadow whilst she settles in and work on her staying home alone.

Kenzie D2025-30
• Could be an only dog
• Could live with other dogs
• Dog savvy cats
• Older children
Kenzie is a 5 year old cavalier described by his foster family as having the sweetest nature. She loves butting you for attention and has now started climbing on her foster mum for cuddles. She has soulful eyes that have been through so much. She has a very calm nature and will not jump on furniture and knows the way of a home
She has a head tilt which the vets assume is from a trauma when she was younger. It does not affect her at all; if anything, it makes her look cuter if that was ever possible.
Kenzie loves children and when she is out and about on her walk she sits and lets the children pet her and would happily follow them for more fuss. In the home she is first in the queue to greet any visitors wanting fuss and attention. Despite her love of children she would be best homed with older dog savvy children as she can be a little clumsy. She is a gentle giant and doesn’t realise that she could bump a small child in her enthusiasm in racing for attention or food.
Although not cat tested due to her calm nature she would probably be fine with dog savvy cats.
She enjoys a little walk, especially in this nice weather and gets lots of attention when she is out. She will bark at funny noises around her but soon settles with reassurance.
Kenzie is very food orientated and is first in the queue for her food and treats. Given chance she would probably eat anything so this will have to be monitored. She will stop if told NO. She is great with the other dogs in the home and has been fine meeting them out on walks.
Currently she sleeps in the kitchen with the resident dogs.
Toilet training is a work in progress she will poo outside but wees near a door but never on a carpet. This is being worked on.
Kenzie would like a home where someone is around most of the time as she does not like being left alone. She will initially bark but soon settles and has a snooze till the food givers are home. She could be an only dog with doggy friends or live with another dog. She really is an easy dog to have around. She just wants attention and love and she will happily settle down for a sleep unless you are at the fridge …

Vinnie D225-26
• Could be an only dog
• Could also live with another dog
• Dog savvy cat
• Staffy/Bull breed experience or knowledge
• Needs to attend dog school
Vinnie is a 5 month old Staffy cross described by his foster mum as a bundle of fun. He loves everyone and everything and is a typical staffy pup who can be like a little bulldozer if he wants to see something or go somewhere. He is learning to walk nicely on a lead and loves other dogs.
Vet history to be discussed.
Vinnie is a young boisterous puppy who is learning to use his teeth and can be mouthy when overexcited so he would be best suited to a home with children that can help train him. Children of an age that wouldn’t get knocked over by him when he’s running or playing as he doesn’t have much spatial awareness yet.
Vinnie is learning not to play with the resident cat. He has no prey drive so would be fine with a confident dog savvy cat.
He loves toys and is fine playing with other dogs.
Vinnie is now learning to walk on a lead. He hadn’t been introduced to a harness any sooner due to his back injury (to be discussed and now healing).
He currently sleeps upstairs as he doesn’t like being left even with the other dogs and can be vocal when left. This is being worked on and is a work in progress.
Vinnie is a pup who hasn’t had a stable life before rescue, so house training is still a work in progress. He is getting better every day, but any new owner should expect a few accidents while he settles.
Vinnie loves his food and can eat his dinner a bit too quickly so is being introduced to a slow feeder to encourage him to take his time. Vinnie has been fine eating near other dogs and doesn’t show any resource issues.
Vinnie loves being with people and would need a home with owners around the majority of the day. Being a young dog, having a resident dog to learn from and interact with would be beneficial but as he is a confident pup he could be homed on his own if he had human company and stimulation. He loves being active so a family that will take him on adventures and give him lots of positive experiences as he grows to keep him well socialised and to teach him good puppy life lessons. Vinnie would benefit from someone with experience of staffy/bull breeds and with experience of separation anxiety or a willingness to research it and work with him on it.

Connie D2025
• Needs a resident dog
• Fine with cats just curious
• Would benefit from attending dog school
Connie is a 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster family as a happy but shy girl. Once you gain her trust, she’s a happy, fun dog to be around. She can be distant with men but not aggressive over time a relationship will be built with men, but it will take time and some good treats. Currently, she’s a woman’s dog.

Connie is unsure of other dogs when out and will pull and bark. She needs guidance on how to behave like a lady and for her parents to advocate for her while she builds trust and friendships. If they are calm and approach calmly with Pawrents agreement she is fine but her pawrents need to choose her friends wisely. She does not like other dogs running into her face out of control.
Connie is ok with children but would not suit a busy, noisy household. Teenagers who will respect and give her space when needed and who will help with her training would be fine. If the house is too noisy she retreats to the safety of her crate.
Connie is fine with cats. Just curious
Connie loves playing on her own as well as other dogs. She loves playing fetch with the resident dog.
Connie can walk on a collar and harness but requires further training and support. As a Spaniel she loves to sniff and explore and can sometimes be right in front of your feet.
Connie sleeps in her crate with the door open.
Connie needs work on toilet training. She needs to be taken out regularly and rewarded when she has done well.
Connie is fine eating around other dogs but needs a slow feeder as she does rush her food.
Connie would suit most active homes with a resident dog for play and company. She can be homed with older dog savvy children who will give her space and time to adjust. Shes a lovely girl who just needs a chance and a bit more guidance to be a well rounded rescue ambassador.

Lucy D2025-27
• Needs a resident dog to learn from
• Older dog savvy children
• Not cat tested
• Patient owners
Lucy is a 6 year old cocker spaniel described by her foster family as a nervous little lady who is still hiding away. She is learning from the other dogs in the home, and if they come to say hello, so will she. She is desperate to give and be loved but needs time to work it out. U can see the cogs turning, and she is getting better every day. With a lot of patience and kind, gentle treatment, she will learn what it means to be loved.
Lucy has not yet been out for a walk, except visiting the vet where she walked ok on the lead. She is frightened of being handled and having harness put on.
Lucy is easily startled so smaller children may be too much for her, but she would probably be okay with older children who understand she needs calm and patience.
She is not cat or small furry-tested.
She does not understand what toys are and is only showing an interest in them.
Lead walking is a work in progress. She is currently scared of having a harness on but is practicing daily with the aid of some nice treats. She will need kind and patient owners who are prepared to work on building her confidence so she learns to wear a harness and collar, and that this will lead to some lovely walks.
Lucy currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs. She always likes to be cuddled up with another dog her size in a dog bed or an open crate. She gets on great with all dogs of any shape or size but has taken to one her size.
Toilet training is a work in progress. She gets praised when going to the garden to toilet but has occasional accidents overnight, but will always use a puppy pad in the kitchen.
Lucy is very nervous at feed time, scuttling away when her dish is put down. She is currently being fed in a quiet area with her one favourite doggy friend. She enjoys her food and eats it all. She will run away if another dog tries to take her food, and this will need to be monitored in her forever home. Lucy loves her treats and is now happy to take a treat from foster mum.
Lucy would love a calm and quiet family home where everyone will be kind and patient while she works out how to be a pet. A home experienced of scared puppy farm dogs would be great. She will need lots of encouragement and rewards as she achieves new goals. She will need a calm and confident dog around her size to help her learn to be brave and show her the ropes. She would like a garden to play in and a covered open crate she can build a den in if life gets a bit much at times. She would not like to be among a lot of people but is fine with lots of dogs.

Hetty D2025-17
• Needs a resident dog to learn from
• Dog-savvy children
• Not cat tested
• Patient family to help her adjust
Hetty is a 6-year-old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster family as a brave girl. Despite being quite shut down and in poor physical condition when she came into foster care, she has settled really well and is beginning to finally enjoy her life. Initially nervous at finding herself in a new world, she now loves meeting new people and dogs and comes to greet visitors with a wagging tail. She hasn’t yet found the joy in cuddles but is happy to continue the practice. She adores being stroked and brushed.
Grade 5/6 heart murmur. Medication to be confirmed
Not child-tested but should be okay with dog-savvy kids who know she needs time to come to them.
Not cat tested.
She has not yet found joy in toys and playing but does love to steal a teddy for a cuddle.
Hetty is only now learning to walk with a lead attached to her harness, investigating and sniffing her surroundings under supervision. She likes to be with one of her doggy friends from her foster home and lead walking will need to be gradually introduced as she becomes comfortable. She is happy to have her harness and lead put on and just needs patience she learns with lots of praise.
Hetty currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs in the home. She loves a dog bed or an open crate.
Housetraining is not quite there, but she does try to go out to the garden to toilet and gets praised when she does.
Hetty loves her food but is easily pushed away by other dogs so is fed in a different room or under supervision so she is not bullied. She loves her treats but takes a lot longer to eat them than the other dogs in the home.
Hetty would love a quiet home with another confident dog. She loves all the dogs she has met. She would love to have a garden to sniff and explore and to practice her harness and lead walking. She would love to have someone around most of the time who can teach her about cuddles and encourage her to be the dog she should have always been.

Russ cannot live with cats or small furries as he will chase and bark.
He walks brilliantly on the lead and is very well behaved when out and about.
Russ cannot be homed with children due to a previous bite incident. Children are OK visiting as long as he is monitored. Since this incident, he has been under a behaviourist as the incidents occur due to being startled. His foster family have been working on these techniques and no further incidents have occurred. The techniques and full support will be provided to his adopters moving forward.
Russ currently sleeps next to the human’s bed in a bed of his own.
He is house trained.
Russ loves his food but needs to eat separate to other dogs as he can be quite bossy and wanting others food if in the same room. He will wait for a treat but again can be quite bossy if another dog is around.
Russ needs an understanding home with another dog. His family need to continue the work that has been done to limit any startle responses. An understanding of spaniels and their needs and behaviours. Blossom is a 10-week-old Shih Tzu x Bichon described by her foster family as a gorgeous little girl who loves everyone in the home, even new people that she has never met. She has a beautiful little bark to let you know she is there and needs a cuddle. Care must be taken when getting up or walking around, as Blossom is tiny and will be under your feet before you know it. She will just fall asleep by your feet without you realising.
Blossom will need to attend puppy training classes so she can interactions with other dogs, and learns commands. Blossom can be an only dog or live with another.
Not cat or small furry tested, but is young enough to learn to be around them.

Blossom sleeps in a dog bed in the living room during the day, and in her foster mum’s bedroom on a puppy bed in an open enclosure during the night.
She is not currently house-trained but is doing amazing using puppy pads.

Asher takes a bit more time to trust than Reed and when approached by strangers will run to his foster mum for reassurance.
Reed would be fine around older gentle maybe teenage children.
Asher is not fond of children they scare him so teenagers/older children only.
Both dogs will bark at cats but are not bothered by them in the garden.
Reed came in to the rescue with cataract in both his eyes, coming from a puppy farm and not being able to see must of been both scary and horrendous for him. Once safely in rescue a referral to the Ralph in Marlow was made and his eyes were corrected. Reed can now see and is enjoying every minute. He continues to have drops in his eyes and checkups every couple of months so a home along the m4 corridor would be ideal so these check ups can be continued by the rescue until he is discharged.
Asher has no known health issues.
Both Asher and Reid have not learnt how to play with toys yet.
Both Asher and Reed are fine with a harness and lead around the house. Walking in the big scary world is work in progress for both the boys and they will freeze in their tracks when overwhelmed. It is important that their new family can offer lots of reassurance consistency and patience to help them flourish and see the big wonderful world outside has lots of new and exciting sniffs to be found and enjoyed.
Both Asher and Reed sleep in dog beds on the floor in foster mums bedroom.
Toilet training is a work in progress for both boys they have spent all of their life toileting where they sleep so again time patience and consistency will help teach them to toilet outside every time.
Both dogs love their food and there is no food aggression.
Reed and Asher can be Rehomed together or rehomed separately but with a resident dog to help show them the way. A quiet home would be needed for both boys someone with patience that can help them flourish to finally be the dog they should have always been. A home where both boys would be able to snuggle on your laps in the evening where they feel safe. A home that’s willing to work on their toileting lead walking whilst also showing them that humans are kind.
