Charlie & Fran D2022-104/105

****PLEASE READ THE WHOLE WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET CHARLIE AND FRAN

THEY COME AS A PAIR BUT COULD LIVE WITH OTHERS

NO CHILDREN

NO CATS

LOVING PARENTS WHO WILL WORK WITH THEM TO ACHIEVE THEIR SUMMER BODIES.

Charlie 8 and Fran 6 are a bonded pair of King Charles Cavaliers described by their foster mum as the most adorable pair of cavaliers who are looking for a new forever home together after a change in their previous owners circumstances. They are such happy dogs whose tails have hardly stopped wagging since they arrived. They are both “a little round” and their bodies shake and jiggle with delight whenever they greet you. They love human company and like nothing more than a comfy sofa to lie next to you and snore the day away.

Charlie has a grade 2 heart murmur but no medication is required. Both dogs are currently overweight so foster Mum has been working on giving them a healthy diet and exercise. Their new owner must be prepared to continue with this to help achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

Both Charlie and Fran love adult humans and scratches behind the ear and belly ribs are their favourite. Fran will wrap her paws around your shoulders and shower you with kisses. Charlie just wants to be with you and even if you leave the room for just a few minutes he acts like you’re leaving him forever, bless him.

Charlie loves children as much as adults but Fran is very wary of children and will bark towards them. She was an ex breeding dog and this is the only trait of anxiety from her past that is really apparent. She is not however aggressive it is just fear of their sharp movements and shrill voices. She is calm if they are quietly sitting down and will take treats from them but she would not suit a home with children.

They both love to chase next doors cat and the pigeons in the garden so they’ll need a home without cats.

Both dogs are housetrained however Fran did have the odd accident in the home when she first arrived. They have settled really well in their foster home and it is clear that they’re used to lots of home comforts. They like to have their humans as close as possible as often as possible. They sleep on foster Mums bed at night and except for the snoring there’s not a peep from them all night until they wake up. They have been left for a few hours only but they really do not like to be on their own and will cry when you initially leave them.

They walk well on their leads and love their daily walks in the woods. They are both water babies and love a paddle in the stream. Charlie is more of a plodder than a fast walker and Fran is more of stroller but regularly walks are essential to help with the weight loss so nice longish but easy paced walks are the order of the day.

Fran and Charlie could live with other dogs however I think they’d like to be the only dogs in the home so that they’d have their human’s full attention. They really have an abundance of love to give and would like their humans to be around most of the day so they could show this. No children because of Frans anxiety but occasional visiting grandchildren would be ok if owners are prepared to work around her anxieties. I absolutely adore these two little gems. They’ve brought nothing but joy to their foster home. We only wish is that they find a home where they will be loved as much we love them.

Adela D2022-90

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET ADELA

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

ADELA IS A WORK IN PROGRESS SO NEEDS A PATIENT HOME WITH LOVING PARENTS

Adela is a 5 year old King Cavalier described by her foster mum as the sweetest little poppet and one look at her pretty little face and soulful eyes will melt your heart for sure. She was very nervous and hand shy when she first arrived and would cower away from any human interaction. She is now starting to gradually interact with her humans and is learning that life in a home is the best thing that’s ever happened to her. The day she rolled around the garden on her back as if to celebrate her freedom is a day her foster mum will cherish forever.

Adela does have a heart murmur which does not at present require medication. This does need to be closely monitored in future.

Adela was quite shut down when she first came to rescue but gradually, she is beginning to come out of her shell. She has bonded well with her foster mum and her tail wags when she hears her voice. She now enjoys ear tickles and being smoothed on her terms. She has met several visitors to her foster mums house and she has on occasion tentatively approached them to say hello. She responds really well to her name (Della for short). Initially she would spend most of the time in her bed but now she happily sits sprawled out on the sofa next to foster Mum watching tv in the evenings.

Della has met her foster Mums young grandson and although she didn’t interact with him she was happy to spend time with him in the garden and wasn’t fazed by his boisterous play.

Adela lives with four cats. She has accepted them as part of the house she lives in but doesn’t interact with them.

Adela is more or less housetrained. She has had the odd accident when foster mum was out but she mostly takes herself outside. She has been left for a few hours and has been absolutely fine with the other dogs. She sleeps in the kitchen with her foster brother at night and she is good as gold. She’s starting to enjoy the comforts of living in a home and it’s wonderful to see her gradually starting to relax.

Adela has yet to go out on a lead. She is very wary of a lead so this is something that her new family must be willing to work on.

Adela needs a home with at least one other friendly resident dog who will help her to continue to learn the joys of being in a loving home. She needs someone who understands the patience needed to allow her to come out of her shell and flourish in her own time. Someone home most of the day or at least part time in order to work with this. She really is a lovely little girl who will be an amazing addition to the right home. She has the sweetest nature and so much to give and if you’re willing to help her on her journey she will reward with a lifetime of love.

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG IF OWNERS ARE ALWAYS AROUND

CAN LIVE WITH AN OLDER TOLERANT DOG WHO WOULDN’T MIND BEING BUMPED INTO OCCASIONALLY

NO CATS

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING FAMILY WHO WILL ADORE AND LOOK AFTER OUR SPECIAL PRINCESS

Pamela is a 5 and a half year old American cocker described by her foster mum as an absolutely gorgeous little lady with the special super power of having no eyes which does not bother her at all. She has a lovely energy about her despite all that she has been through and is just the happiest little soul. She’s full of love and just wants to be loved. She is one very special little lady.

She’s quite amazing and copes well.

Pamela loves people and loves lots of attention. She even loves the vets. Being blind she likes to have a good sniff of you first. Once she’s met you, she doesn’t forget you and you are besties for life.

Older children only

No cats only due to the fact she doesn’t know what they are and it may upset.

Pamela is great in the home she doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety at all.  She isn’t vocal or destructive and will happily sleep downstairs with other dogs. She is 99% housetrained. She is also very happy in a crate.

Pamela travels well in the car and enjoys getting out and about. Her lead is used in a different way to normal because she is blind. It is used as a guidance tool to help her not bump into things and obviously she is not to be let off the lead as she will walk into trouble.

Pamela is going to need someone that is around in the daytime. Having previously been used for breeding toys were new to her but now she absolutely loves them. She loves a teddy bear and a ball & will carry one around with her whenever she can. She is just soo cute. She wants a comfy sofa and someone to love her, she’s a simple girl and this is all she needs to be happy.

Tia D2022-84

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET TIA

NEEDS ANOTHER RESIDENT CONFIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

LOVING PATIENT PAWRENTS WHO WILL SHOW HER THE WORLD.

Tia is a 4 or 5 year old West Highland terrier described by her foster mum as a nervous girl who is desperate to trust. She has not had the best start in life but that’s not something Tia wants to dwell on she now wants to focus on finding love with her forever family. She wants to know what it feels to be loved and adored and that human hands are for good things like cuddles and treats.

Tia has a fear of a harness and lead, blankets and being confined, from her behaviour we believe she has been grabbed too many times so is wary of anyone grabbing her. This is being worked on and she is getting better every day. She’s beginning to trust her foster family and this encouragement is helping her to feel bolder and be brave.

Tia is learning to trust people and is beginning to enjoy a smooth and scratch behind the ears. She is now starting to lay beside her foster mum and nudge her hand for attention. She needs to be approached in a gentle manner with no sudden movements or she will panic and run.

She loves her food but is wary of taking from your hand just in case she is grabbed. She will be an affectionate little girl with a bit of patience and when she finds her feet, she will probably eventually rule the roost.

She is not cat or small furry tested

Tia has never really been in the outside world so is finding it all a bit intimidating. She is learning to go outside to toilet but you need to go with her initially so she doesn’t get scared. She’s not one for exploring yet as even the birds, bees and butterflies are creepy. Currently her safe space is next to you or her foster siblings on the sofa cuddling.

She currently sleeps on the sofa with her foster siblings and sleeps all night long. She has not been upstairs and stays where she feels safe with her foster fur family.

She is just learning to walk on a lead and is getting more confident every day. This will need to continue in her forever home with her patient pawrents.

Tia needs a home with another dog who will look out for her till she gets more confident about her surroundings. She needs patient and loving family who will help her to decompress and adjust. She has never met any squirrels or had a good sniff of the trees so this is definitely something on her to do list.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET BETTY

COULD BE AN ONLY DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED BUT HAS BEEN GOOD WITH CHICKENS AND RABBITS

LOVING AND PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER BLOSSOM

Betty is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a gentle, beautiful girl who has a passion for food, especially toast and butter. She is still quite nervous and will shy away from any sudden movements and noises but is getting better every day. She had never been in a house before or felt love so everything is new to her but she is being really brave.

Betty is toilet trained and has access to the garden at all times as the weather has been nice for it to be open. She is also clean throughout the night. She loves her food but does tend to inhale it so her new pawrents would need to invest in a slow feeder.

Betty is good with people and comfortable around foster mums 12 year old dog savvy daughter so we would recommend older dog savvy children as she has been nervous of noises and sudden movements of younger visiting children.

Not cat tested but foster mum has rabbits and chickens and she has been great with these so would probably be fine with dog savvy cats.

Betty is in the early stages of harness and lead training and will walk around the garden with her harness on and lead clipped to it. She has not yet been out in the big wide world but has been told by foster mums resident dog that there are good things beyond the gate so she is looking forward to going after a period of settling.

Betty has really come out of her shell in the last few days in her foster home and has begun taking an interest in toys and has begun learning about zoomies from the resident dogs. She was unsure to start why the furry resident dog was running around like a loon but soon got the hang of it and realised it was fun. She now loves to play with the resident rescue dog and learns a lot from her.

Betty is crate trained and uses this as her safe space often taking herself off to have a rest and think. She is also happy to sit in it with the door open and sleeps in it throughout the night. She is always pleased to see her foster family in the morning for breakfast and a fuss and is now initiating contact.

Betty needs a home where she is the only dog as she bonds hard with her owner and wants to be the centre of their world. She would benefit from owners who are home most of the time. Someone who will show her that not all humans are bad and take her on mini adventures when she is comfortable and settled.

Fergie D2022-92

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO MEET FERGIE

NEEDS AT LEAST ONE OTHER DOG IN THE HOME

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

NO CHILDREN

LOVING OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER BECOME THE DOG SHE WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE

Fergie is a 6 year old cocker spaniel described by her foster dad as a nervous but friendly girl. She is very happy to sit on the sofa and be given as many belly rubs as you’re happy to give. She is sensitive to sudden movements and noises and does like to take herself away for a bit of time to herself if unsure.

She’s not food driven at all but were sure this will change given time. She is currently eating wet food but likes to be given space away from other dogs to eat.

She’s happy to sleep down stairs in the night with the other dogs and sleeps all night. She has also been left alone for short periods with others and has been fine.

She is very good in the home and doesn’t chew shoes or furniture.

She is very wary of new people who come to the home for a few minutes but is then happy to be fussed.

Due to Fergie being a nervous little girl children would be too unpredictable for her.

However we think she would be fine with cats and would just ignore them.

She walks well on and off the lead (in a secure field) and loves to be out about sniffing everything. Her recall is good once she knows you and she loves following the other dogs.

Fergie needs a quiet and patient home with at least other dog who can give her confidence. She needs patient and loving parents who will help her become the dog she was always meant to be.

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT AND LOVING PARENTS WHO WILL HELP BOOST HER CONFIDENCE.

Grace is a 6 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as a gentle little girl who has just been the best house guest. She is still a little hand shy but will let you stroke her as long as you start gently on her chest or back working your way up to her head and ears. She is enjoying coming for a cuddle and is getting braver every day.

Grace is a delight to have around the house such a gentle sweet girl who is developing funny little ways and gaining in confidence daily. She hasn’t come up on the furniture yet but loves to curl up with the other foster dogs on the raised bed in one room and a large dog bed in the other. She has just discovered the toy box and likes to empty it one toy at a time taking them from the living room to the kitchen.

She is fine with visitors and will go for a fuss once everyone has settled. She has been around young children and although she likes to follow them for any goodies they may drop she does not like interacting with them and will run away so we recommend she be homed with older dog savvy children.

Toilet training is ongoing and as long as the door is open to the garden, she will toilet outside. She is clean through the night. She absolutely loves being in the garden having a mooch around and a spot of sun bathing.

Not cat or small furry tested

Grace loves her food and comes for a treat with the others but always hangs back and lets them go first.

COULD BE AN ONLY CAT OR LIVE WITH A CONFIDENT CAT

NOT DOG TESTED

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING OWNERS

Tiggs is a 12 month old beautiful young lady who loves a fuss but can still be a little timid at times. This is improving but she can still get easily overwhelmed. She likes to sit and watch and waits for you to go to her rather than come for attention. She loves her food and eats well. When she is happy she loves her people and she even doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled.

Due to her nervous nature we would not recommend that she is rehomed with young, boisterous children. She would however be fine with cat savvy children who will not overwhelm her and allow her to come to them.

Tiggs is not fussed on the other cats in her foster home and will hiss at them keeping a wide birth.

Owain D2022-000

*****PLEASEREAD THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO VISIT OWAIN

TO BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT

CAN BE ADOPTED AS AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH ANOTHER PLAYFUL PUPPY TOLERANT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED BUT IS YOUNG

LOVING OWNERS WHO CAN HELP HIM BECOME A HAPPY AND WELL ROUNDED RESCUE AMBASSADOR.

Owain is a 10 week old cavalier described by his foster mum as a very small bundle of energy. He is a feisty, confident, loveable, playful and active little boy who has no fear of the world around him. He is not a cuddly dog when he is in play and adventure mode and will wriggle out of your arms to get on with his fun, however as the day wears on and he tires he does like to have his cuddles and will happily lie in your arms for a while and might even fall asleep. He plays hard but he also sleeps well during the night and he loves his naps throughout the day. Beware however as he is a shark in disguise and steer clear of his bitey teeth and sharp claws! Obviously this is completely normal for a puppy but something for the adults to take into consideration if he is homed with younger children.

Owain has been well socialised in his foster home with adults, children and dogs of all kinds. He’s a confident little man who loves everything and is afraid of nothing.

He has not met any cats but is young enough to learn about them but given his feisty nature we would recommend confident dog savvy cats.

Owain sleeps all night downstairs in his own room without an issue, he will only make a fuss if his breakfast is late! His bed is within a puppy pen and he has puppy pads he can access in the pen. He also takes his naps in there during the day. He is currently fed four times a day every four hours and absolutely loves his food! House training has only just been started so this will obviously be ongoing as he is so young. He has been fostered with another adult foster cavalier and the much bigger resident dog but he is not dependant on either. He loves to play, either with another dog or human or if they’re not available he will amuse himself with his toys.

He has only just had his first vaccination so he has not been walked. I have however taken him out and carried him for little walking trips around the neighbourhood so he gets used to different sights and sounds. He has been absolutely fine, shows no fear of different noises and traffic etc

Owain is looking for a home where his people will be around most of the time and be able to give him the excellent start in life he deserves. He will need to go to puppy training when he is fully vaccinated. He is a confident and energetic little boy who loves to play and he can go as an only dog or with another dog who will tolerate his rough and tumble puppy play. He can be homed with children of any age but adults must be aware of his sharp little puppy teeth and claws when he is around young children and ensure they respect his tiny size and boundaries when handling him.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET EUGENIE

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG IF OWNERS ARE HOME MOST OF THE TIME

COULD ALSO LIVE WITH ANOTHER DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

COULD LIVE WITH CATS

LOVING OWNERS WHO ARE AROUND MOST OF THE TIME TO GIVE HER LOTS OF ATTENTION

Eugenie is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as an amazing little dog who loves everyone she meets. Her tail never stops wagging and she likes nothing better than spending her days with her humans, whether that’s going for a nice walk or sitting next to you on the sofa.

Eugenie is a real people person and adores being fussed and loves to be as close to her family as possible.

She has been great with any children she’s met. She could happily live in a home with sensible children who aren’t too boisterous and don’t leave food around as she will happily help herself.

Eugenie would be fine to live with cats

She is great around the house. She loves her food and would happily spend all day eating if she was allowed. She is fully toilet trained and sleeps quietly overnight in the kitchen of her foster home although is secretly hoping for a home where she can sleep in the bed.

Eugenie is great on the lead and enjoys being out and about, she doesn’t pull at all on the lead. She is happy to greet other dogs and people while out walking and currently goes for a walk of up to an hour a day but is a fine weather walker and would be happy to cut that short if it’s raining.

Eugenie would like a home where her owners are home for most of the day as she isn’t keen on being left. She could live with another dog but this isn’t essential as she’s more of a people person. She doesn’t need a particularly active home but someone who is happy to take her for daily gentle walks

 Beatrice D2022-86

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET BEATRICE

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH ANOTHER DOG WHO IS HAPPY TO SHARE THEIR HUMAN

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED.

OWNERS AROUND MOST OF THE TIME FOR TUMMY TICKLES AND ADVENTURES.

Beatrice is a 4 year old Dachshund described by her foster mum as an absolute darling girl who adores being around all humans. She loves nothing more than snuggles and tummy tickles on the sofa. She also likes to be involved and put her long pointy nose into everything you are doing, whether that’s reading a magazine or tying your shoes you name it she’s there waiting to be involved and help. If you don’t allow dogs on sofas then Beatrice is not the dog for you, as she will race you to the sofa in the evenings and perch herself there ready for tummy tickles as you watch the tv.

Beatrice adores humans of any kind and loves nothing more than spending all her time with them snuggling. She can either be found on the sofa of an evening next to her human, or she will often take herself off to bed with her human foster brother and chill on his bed whilst he watches tv or plays on the Xbox. She is at her happiest when snuggled up getting the attention she craves.

Beatrice is fine around older children that are willing to give her the attention she craves especially if they share their bed with her.

Beatrice has not been tested with cats or small furries

Beatrice is fully house trained but hasn’t yet learnt how to ask to go outside so regular opportunities to pop to the garden need to be given. She has been left for short periods of time with no accidents.

Beatrice walks beautifully on the lead and gets so excited when she sees you getting the lead ready to go. Her tail doesn’t stop wagging from the moment she leaves till she comes back. She loves being outdoors exploring and likes to smell every blade of grass and take in all the beauty she has never got the chance to see until now.

Beatrice would benefit from a home where her new owners are home most of the time. She has been left for a few hours with no problems and given chance will sit in the window as you leave bark and give you her sad eyes through the window as if she’s pleading to come with you. She would love a human that would allow her to snuggle up and have lots of tummy tickles daily as well as lots of new adventures exploring the world she’s yet to see. In the right home Beatrice could be rehomed as an only dog or she could live with another dog that wouldn’t mind her sharing their humans and getting first dibs

Queenie D2022-85

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET QUEENIE

NEEDS AT LEAST ONE OTHER CONFIDENT RESIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED

PATIENT LOVING PARENTS WHO CAN INVEST TIME IN QUEENIE TO HELP HER ADJUST TO A PET

Queenie is a 4 year old Bichon described by her foster mum as a very gentle loving soul. She is starting to realise that this is her new life and is growing in confidence and really coming out of her shell. She now gets very excited at breakfast and supper time and starts bouncing on her legs which is wonderful to see.

When the house is quiet Queenie will either lie on the floor or on her favourite dog bed where she will spend most of her time chilling out and watching the world go by. She will bark if she isn’t sure of noises but just needs reassurance and she will stop.

Visitors and new people need to be told to approach in a calm and loving manner with no loud noises or sudden movements she’s happy to cuddle all day long! You just need to build that trust. She prefers to be approached on her level and once she gets a tickle she can’t resist coming back for more.

We would recommend dog savvy children above 10 years old who can give her the time and space she might need settling into a new home

She has not been cat tested but was very interested in the rabbits to start and after being told they didn’t want to play she now leaves them alone

She will need some work on walking on the lead and to generally get used to daily life and noises outside of the home but all this will come in time when she feels safe.

Queenie hasn’t had any accidents in the home as she has been given plenty of opportunity to go outside. She is crate trained and sleeps in one overnight and if foster parents go out during the day.

Queenie needs a home with at least one other dog, older dog savvy children and patient pawrents who can help her transition to a much loved pet. She needs someone who will invest time in her.

Isla D2022-95

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET ISLA

NEEDS A CONFIDENT, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

 OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

PATIENT PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUST TO BEING A MUCH LOVED PET

Isla is a 4 year old Maltese described by her foster mum as an absolute sweetheart. She has a beautiful little face and a super waggy tail. Seeing her tap dancing when she wants to play with her foster siblings is so adorable. She is very timid around people, but she desperately wants to get closer for cuddles and play.

She loves her food, and knows the sound of the treat jar being opened.

Isla needs someone to love her and show through patience and kindness that she doesn’t have to be frightened any more. She is very hand shy, fearful of being picked up and at the moment will run away when approached. Her confidence is growing daily and she is now sitting close to her foster parents looking for reassurance.

Isla so wants to have cuddles and to jump up and sit by her foster family but she is still very shy, but little steps are already being made. Isla will now take treats from foster mum’s hand, and will follow her from room to room, settling close by. She responds to gentle, quiet voices.

Isla hasn’t met any children while in foster but due to her very timid nature, foster mum feels that a household with resident young children would be too stressful for her. Older children who would be able to understand her needs would be fine.

Isla loves her foster mum’s dog savvy cat and will happily trot around the garden with him, and even let’s him lick her face!
Not small furry tested.

Isla enjoys exploring her environment and is very inquisitive. If Isla has free access to the garden, she will toilet outside, but does not ask to be let out. She sleeps through the night with no toilet needs, cuddled up with her foster sibling in a dog bed in foster mum’s bedroom. She is learning to enjoy soft toys and balls, and loves to sneak off with a sock or slipper! She always has a very proud look on her face!

As Isla isn’t yet fully vaccinated and still nervous around people, she hasn’t been outside her foster home. She will happily wear a collar but will need gentle introduction to harness and lead. She travels well by car, in a dog car seat with seat belt. Isla will need sensitive exposure to the outside world she knows nothing about, but with time she will learn that she’s now safe and will always be looked after.

Isla needs a home with a confident, playful resident dog to help her learn how to trust her humans and how to live a wonderful happy dog life. She needs a safe fully enclosed garden to play and relax in, and to begin her on lead training. She would like a home where her owners are around most of the time to help her settle and adjust.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET LUNA

NEEDS A CONFIDENT RESIDENT DOG

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

LUNA IS A WORK IN PROGRESS SO NEEDS PATIENT, LOVING PAWRENTS.

Luna is a 5 year old Westie described by her foster mum as a lovely friendly girl who is super sweet and loves lots of attention and spoiling. She adores being fussed and doesn’t mind being picked up although will give an initial wiggle of disapproval. She likes people but you just have to approach her slowly and watch for her cues.

She can still be a little nervous when her surroundings get busy and will bark till she settles down and feels safe. She has found her place on the sofa and does not like to move from that safe spot. She has just started to play a little with toys and her confidence grows daily.

Being outside in the garden can make her a little anxious and she can often be seen hiding behind a bush in the garden till she feels safe enough to leave. However, when she’s taken out for a walk to the local field she is much more confident around the other dogs and wants to initiate play.

Veterinary history will be discussed with potential adopters.

Luna is friendly with children but is not cat or small furry tested

Luna is mostly house trained in that she just needs to be taken out to the garden to toilet and given encouragement when she’s done good. She sleeps on the sofa with her foster sister and is quiet all night. She loves her food and eats well. She has not built up the confidence to explore her surroundings indoors yet and just likes to stick to what she knows.

Luna out and about is initially nervous on the lead especially when she first leaves the house but once she’s out there and interacting with the other dogs she really shines and is happy.

Luna needs a home with another confident dog who can help her find her feet and courage. Once she has found these, she will be an energetic little girl. Changes in her are seen daily and this is very clear when she is outdoors and with other dogs. She needs patient loving parents who will help her build her confidence but also give her the room to find that courage.

PATIENT PAWRENTS AS HE WILL INITIALLY BE UNSETTLED

Gizmo is a 6 month old domestic shorthair described by his foster mum as a bundle of energy who can be quite possessive of his pawrents. He is living in a multi cat household but can be a little dominant of them if foster mum is around and gets jealous when they have attention.

He can be a little nervous of strangers but when he gets to know you then you are soon firm friends. He is unsure of small or boisterous children but is fine with older children who give him the space to come to them.

He is currently living with a cat savvy dog but there has never been any close contact. He has been known to chase the resident cats as he has gotten older and more confident. He may be fine with an older more confident cat who will not back down and put him in his place but introductions must be done carefully.

Gizmo is fully litter and scratchy post trained and has had supervised access to the outside world but always chooses to stay close to foster mum.

Gizmo needs patient pawrents who will give him firm boundaries if there are other cats around. He needs access to a safe outside space with room to burn off his excess energy.

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING, PATIENT PAWRENTS

Lissy is a 3 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a nervous girl with the sweetest nature. She is still decompressing and living in a house is completely new to her so she will need a safe, quite space to workout that she is no longer just a money making machine but a much loved pet.

Lissy despite being nervous will toilet outside in the garden but she needs to be encouraged to do so. This means you will initially need to go with her and leave the door open so she doesn’t feel trapped. She will also take her queues from other dogs and follow them out to toilet.

Lissy loves her food and is enjoying learning what treats are. She won’t yet take treats from the hand but will if you put them in a bowl. She does however always reward’s her mum with a big waggy tail when she gets some. Everyone has heard the saying that food is the way to a person’s heart it can also be the way to a nervous doggos heart.

Lissy cannot be homed with young boisterous children as they make her nervous and she will hide. She could be homed with older dog savvy children who will not crowd her and allow her to come to them in her own time.

Not cat or small furry tested

Lead training is a work in progress and this will come with time and patience. Due to this she has not yet been out and about in the big wide world but the other dogs in her foster home have told her about something called squirrels and tree sniffing and she is excited to one day experience these things one day with her loving family.

Lissie needs a home with another dog that she can follow around and learn from. She needs a patient loving family who will give her time and space to decompress and realise that she is now a much loved pet. She needs owners who are around most of the time to help her feel safe.

Tiny Tim C2022-13

NEEDS ANOTHER PATIENT AND FRIENDLY CAT IN THE HOME

NOT DOG TESTED BUT IS YOUNG SO COULD LEARN

OLDER CAT SAVVY CHILDREN

PAWRENTS WHO ARE HOME MOST OF THE TIME AS HE ADORES COMPANY

TO BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AGREEMENT

Tim is a 15 week old domestic shorthair who was the runt of his litter and is small for his age but what he lacks in size he makes up for in character. He is perfectly healthy and a normal, happy cheeky, playful little kitten.

Tim loves people but is not fussed on being picked up. He will tolerate it for a minute or two but wriggles to be let go. He otherwise absolutely loves a fuss and will roll over to have his belly tickled. He loves to be close to his human and one of his favourite things is sleeping on his little blankie next to his foster mum.

Tim is ok with all humans as long as they tickle his belly but due to his small size older children would be better

He adores the other cats in the foster home and is often found cuddled up to one of them. Tim would need another cat for company and to teach him cat things because he was taken from his mum too early. He watches the other cats and tries to copy them but it has taken time for him to be strong enough to join in.

Tim is not dog tested but is young enough to learn to live with a dog with sensible introductions.

Tim sleeps on his little blankie which he will take with him to his forever home. His house training is still a work in progress and can be a little hit and miss but a puppy pad outside the litter tray has worked.

Tim needs someone who is around most of the time as he loves humans and needs lots of interaction. He needs another patient cat who can keep him company and teach him how to be a cat and older cat savvy children.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET BELLA

NEEDS A RESIDENT DOG FOR PLAY AND COMPANY

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING PARENTS WHO LIKE TO GO WALKIES AND ARE AROUND FOR MOST OF THE TIME

Bella is a 4 year old German Shephard mix described by her foster mum as a loving, friendly and gentle girl. She loves having cuddles and a fuss. She gets on fine with all other dogs and loves people. She is housetrained and sleeps downstairs with the other dogs at night.

She enjoys a routine and loves to be outside in the garden, lying down quietly especially when its sunny. She will play with the other dogs when she feels like it but prefers to be with people.

She loves going for walks and meeting people and does not pull on the lead. She also travels well in the car and is good at the vet. She is not bothered by traffic or meeting other dogs.

Bella loves people and everyone. She is very much a people dog.

She has not been tested with children yet but she is so gentle she should be fine with dog savvy children. She would probably squash a really little one.

Not cat or small furry tested

Bella is good in the home she is fully house trained and not destructive at all. She can be left for short periods with the other dogs for company. She sleeps happily downstairs and whilst she has access to sofas, she prefers to sleep on the floor.

Bella would love a home with a big dog proof garden, people around most of the day to make a lot of fuss of her and take her on lots of walks. She loves playing in fields and will probably love exploring any open space. She is currently fostered with 4 other big dogs and gets on well with them but would be just as happy with one doggy friend. As long as she has her humans, she is happy.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET THE DOG

RESIDENT CALM BUT PLAYFUL DOG

NOT CAT TESTED

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVING AND PATIENT PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HER GROW IN CONFIDENCE.

Jubilee is a 1 year old Schnauzer described by her foster mum as an absolute darling. Since being in foster she is progressing daily and is turning into the delightful loving little character she was always meant to be.

When jubilee arrived in foster she was curious but very unsure of human touch. she would approach humans slowly herself but when humans approached her she would sink to the floor and wet herself. With time and gentle slow hands jubilee has now learnt very quickly that human hands bring tummy scratches and kisses and the wetting is now a thing of the past.

Jubilee is fine around children but can become scared and unsure around loud children in the home. She is fine around gentle children who will give her cuddles so we would recommend older dog savvy children.

Jubilee has not been tested with cats or small furries

Jubilee is a typical cheeky but loving little girl who loves to be around her humans and doggie friends. She sleeps all night in her dog bed at the side of her foster mum’s bed. She is fully toilet trained and loves to spend as much time as she can in the garden. Very often she will be sat outside squeaking her favourite toy or just taking in the scenery. She is fine being left for a few hours with her doggie friends but being young it’s important to be mindful that she gets the urge to chew any items that may be laying around the house that look fun to have a little nibble on.

Walking on a lead is work in progress and she can become scared of the big wide outside world as it’s all new to her. New sounds on walks and new smells so slow introductions and lots of exploring will give her the confidence she needs to learn to enjoy her walks and adventures. Jubilee. She travels in a crate in the car but gets very stressed which results in her becoming car sick when travelling. Once she knows that the car means exploring and good things this will settle.

Jubilee needs a resident doggy brother or sister that she can learn from and explore with. One that could show her the world outside is for enjoying and sniffing. A doggie friend that will play with her and not shout at her when she wants to burn some energy. She would be fine living with children that will understand to give her space when she’s unsure and gently approach her until she’s comfortable with them. Most of all she just wants patient loving pawrents who will encourage her and help her gain her confidence.

Peppa D2022-74

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL TO MEET THE DOG

NEEDS A CALM, CONFIDENT RESIDENT DOG TO HELP HER ADJUST

NOT CAT TESTED

CAN LIVE WITH DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NEEDS LOVING PATIENT OWNERS WHO ARE AROUND MOST OF THE TIME

Peppa is a 3 year old Dachshund cross (no we’re not sure what with, don’t go on about it, move on she’s just a beautiful fur baby who needs a forever family). She’s about small spaniel size and described by her foster mum as a lovely girl that needs someone who will be patient with her as it will take time for her to trust her human.

Once settled in her home and she knows you are not going to hurt her she is loyal and cuddly. She is not aggressive at all but can give a nervous growl when she is unsure. She just needs a minute with gentle verbal coaching to relax and she will be fine.  This completely stops when she trusts you.

She is cage trained and puts herself in this when she needs a break. She will need a cage in her forever home so she has a safe place to decompress if needed.

She can initially be nervous of strangers but if left alone to come around in her own time she will come and sit by you for reassurance gradually moving to see who the new person is. She will wag her tail but keeps her distance until she feels safe. Every interaction with new people needs to be a positive one so she must be allowed to make her own decisions on who she wants to be friends with.

She has not been tested with children in her foster home but we were told that she had previously lived with children. However, we would still recommend older dog savvy children.

She is not cat or small furry tested

Peppa is good in the home and will toilet outside. She enjoys a routine and this helps her settle. She needs a secure garden for sniffing and napping and once she feels safe she enjoys a snooze on the sofa. She does like going up onto things and will happily settle

Out and about Peppa will walk on a lead but needs a little more practice as she can be distracted by all the smells and distractions. In a secure field her recall is good but she does need further help and training away from this. She just needs someone who loves her enough to put some time and effort into her gently to help her.

Peppa needs a loving home with another sensible non nervous dog that will help her develop into the dog she should always have been. She will need time and patience to decompress and feel safe. Once relaxed and trusting her new owners can help her with her confidence and basic training.

Patch C2022-23

NEEDS TO BE REHOMED WITH AT LEAST ONE OTHER CAT

NOT DOG TESTED

CAT SAVVY CHILDREN

LOVES COMPANY AND A GOOD CHAT OVER TEA AND BISCUITS.

Patch is a 4 year old domestic short hair described by his foster mum as very friendly once he settles. He likes to follow people around and sit on your lap once he feels at home. He will tolerate being picked up and carried around if needs be. He likes a good chat and can be vocal when he would like attention or food.

He eats well and is eating a mixed diet of biscuits and wet food but currently has no interest in any treats. He does like a nice roll in cat nip however.

He has not been tested with children but we expect him to be okay with cat savvy children who will give him space when he shows he needs it. Tolerates being picked up and moved around with minimal grumbling unless it is prolonged.

He can live with other cats with sensible introductions he is currently friendly and inquisitive to the resident cats. He is a bit special and if another cat is asking him to move away and give them space he doesn’t seem to know the signs and just sits there looking bemused he does not react.

He is not dog tested

In the home Patch likes to have hiding spots and somewhere he can sit up high. The higher the better so he can watch the world going by. He doesn’t seem to like being alone, so he needs a home where there is another pet that he can bond with and chat about their lovely owners.

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

Lizzie is a 5 year 9 month old Beagle described by her foster dad as a very happy and friendly girl. She can be a little bit mischievous, so training and patients is needed to keep her behaviour in check.

Plenty of exercise is needed and foster dad would suggest 2 hours minimum a day. She is very good on and off lead and recall is good but she likes to do it in her own time.

She eats and drinks well and loves treats, so training won’t be difficult.

She loves people and is friendly and gentle.

She’s friendly and gentle with children.

Not cat tested but I think she would be fine with cats.

As long as she’s had enough exercise, she’s well behaved in the home. If not, she finds it hard to settle down and is always looking for something to do. When left on her own she doesn’t chew or get up to any mischief.

Lizzie needs a home that can give her the excise and attention she needs.

Bucky D2022-76

Bucky is a two and a half year old Labrador mix described by his foster dad a very happy and friendly dog. He loves everything and everyone. He loves his walks and enjoys playing with any toys. Eats and drinks well.

He walks great on and off the lead but is missing his front right leg. He is currently having two 30 minutes walks a day which is about right for him. His recall is very good and he doesn’t wander far away.

He is fully house trained.

He loves everyone and is always nice and friendly.

Great with kids, always friendly and gentle.

Not cat or small furry tested but I’m sure he would be lovely to them or just ignore them.

He is very well behaved in the home and loves a cuddle on the sofa.

Bucky is ideal for any home in my opinion. He can fit in anywhere and give someone a lovely loving dog.

TO BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH ANOTHER SUPER ACTIVE DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT TESTED

NEED A SUPER ACTIVE HOME WITH A FAMILY WILLING TO PUT TIME INTO HER TRAINING AND FUTURE.

Autumn is a 10 month old fox red Labrador described by her foster mum as a super active young lady who is super keen to learn. She will make an amazing dog in the right home but that home has to be prepared to work with her and give her a lot of mental and physical stimulation. She is not a puppy who will cope with a 30 minute walk twice a day she needs to be out all day climbing mountains, hunting squirrels and being your best adventure buddy.

She has had very little training so we recommend a home with active dog experience who will enjoy working with her to be a well mannered, obedient rescue ambassador. She is keen to learn and is super food orientated which is always handy for training.

She is currently in foster in a multi dog household and has been well mannered and polite.

She is crate trained but living in a house is new to her so toilet training and the house rules are all a work in progress.

Autumn needs an understanding, experienced and patient forever family who will help her adjust from living in a stable with very little guidance to being a well rounded, happy and active fur baby. Helping her at the beginning of her transformation and working together is going to be hard work but so rewarding. To see her happy, active and safe in a loving forever home is all we want.

George D2022-77

*****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WILL BE EXPECTED TO TRAVEL TO MEET GEORGE

TO BE AN ONLY DOG

NO CHILDREN

NO CATS OR SMALL FURRIES

SAUSAGE DOG EXPERIENCE WOULD BE OF BENEFIT

HE NEEDS AN OWNER WHO IS AROUND MOST OF THE TIME WHO WILL SPEND TIME HELPING HIM ADJUST TO A LOVING HOME AND HELP HIM WITH HIS QUERKS

George is a 2 year old mini cross standard smooth haired Dachshund described by his foster mum as a complex little man who adores his people. He can initially be nervous when he meets you but once he knows you are there for him, he is fine. He doesn’t seem to have seen much of the outside world and can be nervous and barky when unsure. This is being worked on but will need to continue in his forever home.

George once settled loves attention and to cuddle on the sofa and being a larger sausage just means there is more of him to adore. He is showing signs of being protective of his human and things but this is being worked on and will need to continue in his forever home.

George is unsure of children and they make him anxious so we would recommend and adult only home.

No cats not small furry tested but would not recommend

House training is a work in progress as are basic commands and luckily he loves treats so these are being used to help him understand what is needed of him

George is cage trained and uses his cage as his safe space. He is a dog who likes a routine and needs one to feel safe or he can become anxious.

George does not appear to have had much lead training or be out and about in the big wide world so is finding this all very new. When on the lead he can be a typical daxie and can be barkie and will try to nip if people or dogs come into his space uninvited. This is due to being nervous rather than aggression so he will need to be carefully introduced to people and dogs outside the home and make every contact a positive one. George off lead in a secure field has been mixing with other dogs.

George needs a home where he is the only dog and where someone is home the majority of the time who is willing to work on his nervousness and guarding issues so they don’t become a problem. He has just never been loved enough before to have had the time spent with him so a lot of things he is seeing now are new and we need every encounter to be a positive one. Once he has settled and trusts he will be an active little dog and will love adventures with his human. His foster mum says that despite his quirks he is a pleasure to have around.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS WILL NEED TO TRAVEL TO MEET REIGN AS WE DO NOT POST DOGS

NEEDS A PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG

CAN LIVE WITH DOG SAVVY CATS

NEED CALM PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL HELP HER ADJUST TO THE BIG WIDE WORLD

Reign is a 5 year old mini schnauzer described by her foster mum as a nervous girl who is desperate to love and trust.  She Is showing signs of the funny friendly little girl she was always meant to be. She is slowly discovering toys and loves to throw a soft ball around and stands looking at us with it in her mouth as if to say “what’s the problem?”. She has also started popping her head over the arm of the sofa and hit you with her paw to tell you she’s still there and would like some fuss.

If her foster family have been out and about, she runs to greet them when they come in the door and wags her tail copying the other dogs. She’s a cheeky funny little girl that gives a little yawn as if she’s telling you, it’s treat time or she wants a fuss. She can be a little worry bug but is quite happy having people around her. She loves to be near her foster mum and dad and loves to have a fuss made of her.

Reign has met people outside her foster home and is quite happy to take a tasty treat off them, if there’s food about then she’s right there and as long as people are calm and quiet with her she’s happy for them to say hello, she just needs to gain confidence that they aren’t going to hurt her.

Reign has met a few children out on her walks and was fine as the children were calm and talked quietly to her.
She is a dainty little girl and would be ok with dog savvy children that would not play too rough with her We would recommend children 10 and over as she is a quiet timid girls

Reign lives with an elderly dog savvy cat and has never had any tendency to chase or take much interest in him at all.
She hasn’t met any other small furries

Reign is fully house trained as long as the door to the garden is open as she hasn’t quite worked out how to say she needs the toilet. She loves to sleep next to her foster mum and snuggles in real close, she will sleep peacefully all night in foster mums bed and is no trouble and so far isn’t a snorer.

Reign loves to lay on the sofa near one of her foster parents and sleep peacefully until they move then she feels the need to go wherever they are going just in case there is food involved as she’d hate to miss out.

She’s a quiet girl in the house but loves a nosey out the window if anyone is going past, they may be bringing food you see.
Reign is crated at the moment when foster parents are out and has only been left for an hour.

Reign is due her second vaccination in a week so has only been out in the garden She hasn’t been lead walked so will need patience to get her used to having a lead attached to her harness. She travels in a crate in the car.

Reign definitely needs another friendly playful, confident dog that would love to run around the garden. A fur sibling who can show her the world isn’t quite as scary as she thinks at the moment. She needs a home where Reign could find a quiet place to nap and get her beauty sleep, as she is beautiful. She needs someone who will work with her at her own pace to get her used to lead walking and not force her before she’s ready. She is an active girl waiting to find her paws in the big world and once over her fear she will love to go on lovely long walks to use up her energy.

River D2022-55

****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING****

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS NEED TO BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO MEET RIVER WE DO NOT POST DOGS

NEEDS A RESIDENT CONFIDENT DOG

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT PAWRENTS WHO WILL HELP HIM FIND HIS PAWS AND HELP HIM ADJUST FROM BEING A SCARED LITTLE MAN INTO A BRAVE AND CONFIDENT ADVENTURER.

River is a 10 year old Schnauzer described by his foster mum as a scared little boy who is desperate to trust and love. He is now looking to his foster family for attention and encouragement and gets really excited to see them when they return home from being out. He is starting to accept and enjoy tummy rubs and can be quite vocal in his enjoyment grumbling with happiness. He has taken a while to settle but every day is a new day and he’s happy to feel safe and loved.

His medical history will be discussed with any potential adopter but you need to be aware that River has limited sight which has been assessed and sadly is likely to deteriorate the older he gets

River sleeps in the kitchen with his foster siblings and sleeps all night. He is a happy boy who loves his bed. He is super excited to see foster mum for breakfast and its one of the two favourite times of his day. He will now take treats gently from the hand and this is very positive as it will help with his ongoing training.

He currently has no interest in playing or toys and prefers to sit and watch what is going on. It will take a while but he will get there. When he feels safe we are sure he will play and we will look forward to the updates from his new family.

River has met a few children but we would recommend older dog savvy children who would understand Rivers queues if he needs space.

He is not cat or small furry tested.

Training is going to be an ongoing thing and will progress naturally when River feels safe in his forever home. He has worn a harness and is happy to move around but is scared when a lead is attached. This can continue in his forever home at his own pace with the encouragement of another dog and treats. Toilet training is a work in progress but when he is in a routine he is much better.

Timid and easily scared.

River needs an understanding family with a resident confident dog who will encourage and guide him in this new chapter of his life. He can live with older dog savvy children and needs his new pawrents to understand that no one has ever loved him enough before to show him kindness or to teach him basic commands. He has never been out into the big wide world to bark at squirrels and sniff a good tree. So, he would like a family who will show him all these good things when he is ready and to hold his paw when he gets nervous or scared. Whilst he waits for his big boy pants he would like a nice secure garden where he can mooch around and enjoy the sun feeling loved and safe.

POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MUST TRAVEL TO MEET THE DOG WE DO NOT POST DOGS

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG IF HIS PEOPLE ARE AROUNDMOST OF THE TIME

COULD LIVE WITH ANOTHER ACTIVE DOG

NOT CAT TESTED

EXPERIENCES HOME WOULD BE IDEAL

NEEDS A SUPER ACTIVE HOME WITH A FAMILY WILLING TO PUT TIME INTO HIS TRAINING

Henry is an 18 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel cross Cavalier described by her foster mum as a lovely, loving, active and happy young man. He has been well loved and well looked after but unfortunately his previous owner’s health meant they weren’t able to keep up with his training and exercise needs so he came into foster.

Henry loves everyone wanting to meet them all and has been good with everybody he has met. He can initially be shy but with a gentle approach and preferably some treats he is soon your best friend.

Henry has been fine meeting children but due to his exuberant nature and his need to learn some manners we would not recommend small children as they may find him overwhelming.

He has not been cat tested but so far he has been indifferent to any he has met.

Henry is fully house trained and has been good in the home. He is an active boy who is still growing and sometimes needs time out to calm down and rest so will either cuddle up on your lap or go into his crate for a break and a power nap. He also sleeps overnight in a crate without a problem and will need a crate in his new home for him to feel relaxed.

Henry loves the garden and outdoors and will play outside quite happily with his foster sister or his toys. If he hears another dog bark he will join in so will need to be told that is not necessary. He is also on high alert to protect the house from invaders so will bark at anyone who gets too close, again he needs a firm NO to calm him down.

Henry loves to be with his people and will follow you around the house to see what you’re up to and when his foster sister is too tired to play he will often entertain himself with the toys. He has been left home alone in his crate for a couple of hours after being exercised with no issues but he would appreciate his people being with him as much as possible as that is what he is used to.

He loves his food and practically inhales it, and can be a little grabby with treats because he is so greedy so he is learning some manners and that will need to be reinforced in his new home. He also loves your food and will jump up at the table to try and share it! We have been working very consistently on stopping him from doing this so his new parents will need to carry this on or he will be quite the nuisance.

Henry is an active boy who enjoys his walks and adventures and needs regular long walks. He is however very distracted when he is on the lead and left to his own devices he zig zags back and forth, pulls and periodically jumps up. We have been working on this and he is responding but he will need further ongoing and consistent reward based training until he learns. Recall has been good in a secure field and as he is very food orientated and will happily return in exchange for treats.  He can sometimes get distracted by a bird but generally he responds very quickly when called, he is always checking to see if his person is there and looks for reassurance regularly when out.

Henry is looking for an active home that will take him on lots of adventures whilst putting time into his training. He will need kind but firm and consistent ongoing training to improve his lead walking especially and also to stop him jumping up. He can be an only dog with plenty of socialisation with other dogs and with his people home as much as possible. He could also live with another dog who can match his playfulness and activity levels. He would appreciate a good sized garden to run around in and chase his tennis ball. He can be homed with dog savvy older children who would be able to deal appropriately with his jumping up and his poor table manners whilst his training is ongoing. He might be able to live with a cat but would need further testing first to make sure.

Enfys D2022-58

*****PLEASE READ THE FULL WRITE UP BEFORE APPLYING*****

*****PLEASE NOTE POTENTIAL ADOPTERS ARE REQUIRED TO TRAVEL TO MEET THE DOG, WE DO NOT POST DOGS****

NEEDS A RESIDENT CALM DOG FOR GUIDANCE

CAN LIVE WITH CATS

COULD LIVE WITH OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NEEDS LOVING PATIENT PAWRENTS WILLING TO HELP HER TAKE HER NEXT STEPS

Enfys is a 7 year old timid, anxious little girl, who desperately wants to be brave. She has the sweetest nature, and melts hearts with her beautiful eyes. She has been in her foster home for a little while and is making wonderful baby steps in learning that she is now safe and loved and is ready to make that next step to her forever home. She likes to watch what goes on around her from a safe corner and comfy bed. She is beginning to explore different rooms, and will choose when to come in and out of the house and garden. She is becoming less nervous of being picked up and held, and will relax on the settee next to foster mum and fall asleep being stroked. She has a lovely little snore!

Her medical record will be discussed with potential adopters

Enfys is understandably very nervous around people but loves to see her foster family and greats them with excited tail wags and will bark a lovely welcome! In the last week she is choosing more and more to be closer to them, and now gives foster mum’s hand gentle licks. She gets very excited when foster mum returns, and jumps up and down with excitement at the gate with her foster siblings. She is a gentle soul who has never shown any sign of aggression.

Enfys hasn’t met any children and due to her very timid nature, foster mum feels the quick movements and boisterousness of children would cause her further anxiety. Older, dog savvy children who would understand her needs would be fine.

Enfys loves our dog savvy cat and is happy to let him nuzzle her face. There is no aggression at all but is not small furry tested.

Enfys needs her own safe space in her forever home and the freedom to choose where she wants to be. She absolutely loves being in the garden, lying on the grass in the sun and sniffing and exploring with the other dogs. She gets excited at mealtimes and does a happy little dance when given her food bowl! She always toilets outside, but does not ask to go out. She sleeps through the night, in a dog bed underneath foster mum’s bed. She is beginning to show an interest in dog toys, especially a ball in the garden!

Enfys hasn’t been walked outside the garden due to vaccination status, but will walk on a lead with collar and harness. She is still a little anxious traveling by car, but will wear a harness and dog seat belt and lie down on her blanket.

Enfys needs a quiet home, with someone around most of the time. She also needs a safe, enclosed garden to enjoy. It is important for Enfys to live with another gentle dog, who she can gain confidence from, and continue to learn how to become the dog she should always have been. She needs someone who will give her the time and patience to realise that she will now know love and kindness always.
