Name: Ursula
Age: 8 years
Breed: Bichon Frise
Can I live with Children: Yes sensible children
Can I live with cats: Not tested
Can I live with other dogs: Yes, at least 1 other dog
Fostered In: RCT

Ursula is an 8-year old Bichon Frise who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a very quiet girl. She loves sitting on your lap for a cuddle and will happily stay there all day or lounge on the sofa. She also loves her food. Ursula is getting her used to life as a pet. She is a great little dog who will make a great addition to a family who will give her that bit of extra time to realise that all humans are not scary.

People – Ursula loves everyone. Slightly older gentle children in her new home as she doesn’t really like play but is happy to sit by you for fuss. Visiting toddlers would be fine

Dogs – Yes Ursula is used to living with other dogs of varying sizes. Bouncy puppies are too much for her but older calmer dogs are fine.
She can grumble at other dogs if they come to close when she is on your lap but will stop if you tell her No. Ursula would need at least one brother or sister to teach her how to be a pet.

Cats – Ursula is not tested on cats but she is a calm little girl and should be ok

In the home –Ursula can be left for short periods and doesn’t do any damage. She does love her human company though so if possible would prefer to come with you. She has been crate tested but doesn’t need to be in a crate as she’s not destructive at all. Ursula has never played with toys and she is not quite sure what to do with them. This is fairly typical of ex-breeding dogs and this will change as she gets more confident but, at the moment, she prefers a cuddle on the sofa.

Out and about – Yes Ursula is a fine weather walker. She has a short walk a day but is equally as happy to stay indoors or just potter around the garden.

Type of home – Ursula would love to live with a retired couple who are at home most of the day and will take her for short walks. She could live with children or other kind dogs but this isn’t necessary as she just loves her humans. She would like a garden where she is free to potter in when she wants to.

Ursula has had an operation to remove a cataract from both eyes. She is currently on eye drops several times a day which will need to continue in her new home. Ursula is still under Rowe vets in Bristol where she is currently going every month. She has three lots of drops which are gradually being reduced but she may always be on some

Ursula is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Rhondda, South Wales
