Tedi is a Yorkshire Terrier x Pug, with Terrier traits. He came into rescue from a family who made a difficult decision to rehome him due to change in circumstances
People – Tedi is over enthusiastic when he meets people and may jump and bark at them. He needs some training on how to socialise. We would not recommend that he is homed with children or regular visiting children due to this.
Dogs – Tedi is living with other dog’s, but currently unable to read signals i.e. Leave me alone, I’ve had enough play which can antagonize other dogs and get him into trouble. If he was to be rehomed with another dog it would need to be a younger fully trained dog, to show him how to behave
Cats – No to cats he will chase
In the home – Tedi is housetrained and lives will in the house. He does love to cuddle once he settles.
Out and about – Tedi is an active dog and would benefit from lots of exercise. He walks well on the lead and with some training would be able to be off lead as well. He loves to play with a ball but doesn’t know how to bring it back
Type of home – We are looking for a calm household with a couple/individual with lots of knowledge of training excitable dogs. He would prefer to be an only dog but potentially could live with another younger dog. The home he goes to will need to commit to taking him to training classes and will be asked about this at interview. No children or visiting young grandchildren as he is too boisterous and really needs to learn good manners. Would not suit a full time working home but we could consider part-time workers, as long as Tedi had a walk before being left.
Tedi is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with his flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet him in his foster home in South Wales
If you are interested in adopting Tedi please read about our rehoming process and complete a Pre-Adoption form (link below) and one of our adoption coordinators will contact you for a chat.
