Pearl’s foster mum has fallen in love with her so she has found her forever home.

Pearl is a 4-year old ex-breeding Cocker Spaniel, who is being fostered in Worcester. She is learning about what life is like in a home and gets very excited when foster mum comes in from the shops. Pearl loves to pick up a toy to give to foster mum. She likes soft toys to shake and barks at her own reflection.

People – Brilliant with all people

Dogs – Good with all dogs. As an ex-breeding girl Pearl will only be rehomed where there is a resident dog for company.

Cats – Pearl can live with cats

In the home – Pearl has got the hang of housetraining in her foster home, but adopters should expect her to have accidents as she gets used to a new environment. She doesn’t like being left even with other dog and will bark initially but is always settled when I return. Have left them up to 3 hours. secure fences are a must in her new home as she is an escape artist, another trait of ex-breeding dogs. Adopters must be aware of this and take care when opening the front door, so she doesn’t escape.

Out and about – She’s very good on lead and is almost off lead on local walks now. Has developed a passion for chasing pigeons She’s been on an extendable lead but as she has been in season lead training has taken a back seat. She sits and waits for her harness to be put on before walks and out in the garden, comes to her name every time.

Type of home – Pearl needs a home where her humans are around for most of the day. She deserves to be part of the family and not left on her own for hours on end. She will need patience and help with her training, plenty of regular walks and grooming. She is friendly with all adults and children, but children will have to be respectful of her and dog savvy. Pearl can live with cats and would need another kind resident dog for company.

Pearl is microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Due to her just coming out of season she has not been neutered. It is a condition of adoption that Pearl is neutered in a timely fashion and this will be the adopters responsibility Discount voucher will be available and follow up checks will be done. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in Worcester.
