Lucy is a 2 and a half year old Cavalier who is being fostered in the Midlands. She is a friendly, loving girl who loves attention and fuss. She knows her name but hasn’t been taught sit, down etc but is a quick learner. She is a little gem who will be a loving and loyal companion to whoever adopts her.
People – Lucy does bark at people and dogs but only because she wants to meet them and get fuss.
Dogs – Apart from initially barking at dogs when out she is happily living here with three other dogs. She would definitely benefit from having another dog to play with
Cats – Not tested
In the home – Lucy is mainly housetrained with only an occasional accident. She sleeps on her fosterer’s bed with three other dogs. She walks in and out of an open crate downstairs. She will chase and bring back a ball when out but at home she prefers an antler chew to toys. She is not food aggressive but will try to get the others food if given half the chance. When left, she will initially cry and bark but this only last for a few minutes. She has been left with the others for up to three hours without any problems
Out and about – Lucy is very happy to get in the car and travels extremely well, she will whine for the first few minutes and then lies down and goes to sleep. I haven’t taken her to the vet yet but she has been to the groomers and behaved very well having her nails clipped.
Type of home – Lucy would benefit from another dog in her new home. She does like her walks but doesn’t need long walks. She is very good and could be left for several hours as long as she had another dog for company. Children 7+ would be fine, the only reason being that she can get excited and could knock smaller children down
Lucy is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in the Midlands
