Elijah is an 8 year old schnauzer described by his foster mum as a shy little man who is starting to come out of his shell. He will allow some petting but at the moment it is on his terms and will move off if he thinks it’s too much.
Veterinary history to be discussed with potential adopters.
He is getting better on the lead round the garden or to the vets but can be a little wary with noises in the outside world.
He loves his food but as yet is not sure what to do with treats.
He enjoys playing with his foster siblings
He was even good in the groomers when the dryer was being used.
He was shy around the neighbour’s children (6 & 11) but again allowed them to cuddle him under supervision.
Housetraining is a work in process so pads are being used at night and he is happy to go in the garden during the day.
Elijah needs a home with a resident dog to learn from. He could live with older dog savvy children. He is not cat tested. He needs patient parents who can help him fulfil his potential.
