Dana is a 5 year old Cairn terrier described by her foster family as friendly, lovable, determined and very clever. She is super quick and into everything wanting to know what is going on. She has an honours degree in being determined and will try her best to get her way.
Despite this confidence and cheekiness if she thinks she has done something wrong she becomes very submissive and will roll over showing her belly.
She is very good in the home and once you catch her she will let you do whatever you want.
She is not cat or small furry tested.
She can live with dog savvy children as she enjoys gentle fusses.
She will play with toys on her own or with others. She currently sleeps downstairs in the kitchen with the resident dog. She is fully house trained and clean all night
As a terrier Dana does not always like sharing her human for cuddles and attention so any resident dog will need to be confident and happy to share an owner. Her owners must also show her that she has to share or she will have no friends.
Dana walks well on a led but has not been outside yet due to her vaccination status. When foster mum takes the resident dog for a walk she will just sit in the window watching till she comes back.
Dana enjoys her food and treats.
Dana could be an only dog or live with a confident dog who will help Dana understand she has to share her new owners. She is into everything so owners with terrier knowledge would be handy or a willingness to learn as she will train you quite quickly. She is a lovely and intelligent dog and some new owners are going to be very lucky to have her.
