We also advise that you to retain our details as a last backup just in case of an extreme situation. (An example of this was a few years ago when a family left their dog adopted from us with a pet a sitter and went abroad for an extended holiday. The dog ran off and ended up in an rta. No one could be contacted but we were able to authorise emergency vet treatment until the owner was tracked down. This could mean life or death for an injured animal
