🐾✨ SPECIAL HOME NEEDED FOR A VERY SPECIAL BOY – STEVEN ✨🐾

Meet Steven, an almost 8-year-old Maine Coon gentleman who is heartbreakingly seeking a new home through absolutely no fault of his own.

His family have made the incredibly brave and selfless decision to find him a home where he can truly thrive — because right now, this beautiful boy is simply not getting the love and attention he deserves. And Steven? He adores love.

💙 Vaccinations: Up to date (Sept 2025)
💙 Weight: 9.2kg of pure cuddle
💙 Neutered
💙 Litter trained
💙 Healthy and happy

Steven is a real character. He is wonderfully dopey, deeply affectionate, and absolutely devoted to his people. He doesn’t just sit near you… he sits on things — your paperwork, your laptop, your lap — because being involved in whatever you’re doing is his favourite hobby.

He loves fuss. He loves cuddles. He loves interaction and play. He thrives on company and would be happiest in a home where he isn’t overlooked, but cherished.

🏡 His perfect home would include:
• Access to a safe outdoor space (he loves going outside)
• Humans who enjoy a large, affectionate shadow
• Other cats — he’s excellent with them
• Cat-savvy dogs — he doesn’t live with dogs currently but absolutely adores the neighbour’s dogs, so respectful introductions would be key
• Children — he’s fantastic with small children, men and women alike

He eats well (especially Felix — clearly a man of taste!) and truly is a “total TWP” — tidy, well-mannered and an all-round good boy.

This is not a cat with problems. This is not a cat who has done anything wrong.

This is simply a much-loved boy who deserves to be someone’s centre of attention — someone’s pride, someone’s companion, someone’s special boy.

If you have room in your heart and home for a magnificent, affectionate, slightly oversized lovebug who will make you smile every single day… Steven is waiting.

Please share to help us find the home this wonderful young man deserves. 💙

APPLICATIONS FOR STEVEN HAVE NOW BEEN CLOSED

DUE TO THE VOLUMN RECIEVED ALREADY

🌿 FERN C2026-04 – YOUR LITTLE HOUSE PANTHER IN TRAINING 🌿

Twelve months old and already mastering the art of exploration, Fern is a beautiful young girl with a curious mind and a love for high places. If there’s a shelf, wardrobe top, or cat tree in your home… she will find it. 🐾

Fern is playful, bright, and full of gentle affection. She isn’t a lap cat, but she absolutely loves fuss and attention. She’ll rub against your legs, roll onto her back, and offer you her tummy for a rub like it’s the highest honour. She’s soft, loving, and still very much a youngster discovering the world.

She currently lives with five other cats. While she’s not best friends with them (yet!), she tolerates them well and could live with another calm cat if introductions are done slowly and properly. She’d also be happy as a solo indoor princess, provided she has plenty of vertical space to climb and perch. Cat trees and shelves are highly recommended for this little adventurer!

Fern has a healthy appetite and isn’t shy about having a little “chat” when it’s dinner time or when she’d like some affection. She would suit a home with respectful younger children who understand gentle play. She’s untested with dogs but may be fine with a calm, cat-savvy one.

✨ 12 months old
✨ Neutered
✨ Vaccinated & Microchipped
✨ Up to date with flea & wormer treatment
✨ 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance
📍 Fostered in Aberdare

Fern is young, sweet, and ready to grow into someone’s much-loved companion. All she needs now is a home to call her own (with a good climbing spot or two!).

🐾 ALBERT – D2026-22 🐾
3 Year Old Mini Schnauzer
📍 Fostered in Cardiff

Albert is looking for a very special home — one that understands that sometimes the quietest dogs have the most beautiful journeys ahead of them. 💛

Albert is a 3-year-old Mini Schnauzer who hasn’t quite figured out the world yet. He’s not naughty. He’s not difficult. He’s just unsure.

But every single day, he is trying.

He will now:
✨ Cuddle next to you on the sofa
✨ Follow his humans around the garden and back into the house
✨ Take himself off to his bed downstairs when he’s ready to sleep
✨ Go outside to toilet and let you know when he needs to
✨ Wear a harness (even if he doesn’t yet understand what “walkies” means!)
✨ Take treats ever so gently

He hasn’t learned how to walk on a lead yet — he’ll wear one, but being led is confusing. He hasn’t started playing. He’s still figuring things out. And that’s okay.

Albert is a quick learner and has already started to understand praise. Tell him he’s a good boy and you might just see a little tail wag. Those small milestones? They mean everything. 🥹

He will need:
• A calm, quieter home
• Dog-savvy teenagers only (no young children)
• An understanding adopter experienced with nervous/shutdown dogs
• A confident resident dog to help show him the ropes
• Patience to celebrate progress at his pace

He is fine with other dogs but tends to quietly ignore them. He eats separately due to greedy foster siblings and does so happily.

Not cat or small furry tested.

Albert doesn’t need someone to “fix” him. He needs someone who sees his potential, who understands that trust is earned slowly, and who will feel proud of every tiny breakthrough.

Neutered
1st Vaccinations ✔
Microchipped ✔
Up to date with flea & wormer ✔
Comes with 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance

If you have experience with sensitive dogs and a calm home where Albert can continue to blossom, he is waiting for you.

🤍 Mr Patches – No Adoption Fee. Just a Gentle Soul Needing a Final Home 🤍

Mr Patches (C2025-23) is 17 years old and we are urgently looking for a palliative care home for him.

There is no adoption fee.
His ongoing veterinary needs will be supported under assisted adoption.

What he needs most is not money — it’s kindness.

Mr Patches is the definition of a true gentleman. He doesn’t demand attention; he politely requests it. A soft, musical little meow. A quiet sit by the door if he’d like it opened. A neat perch beside his bowl when it needs topping up. He waits patiently to be lifted for a cwtch, gazing up with the sweetest eyes that say, “Excuse me… when you’re ready.”

He lives a slow, peaceful life now. Warm beds. Gentle pottering. Watching the world go by. He never scratches furniture, never causes chaos, never makes a fuss.

Mr Patches has IBD which is managed with:
• Anallergenic food
• Daily steroid tablets (easily mixed into his food — he eats them happily)
• Monthly B12 injections at the vet

He is fully vaccinated and litter trained, though very occasionally his tummy can catch him out.

He currently lives alongside other cats and simply ignores them, so he could live with calm pets or be your one and only. At his age, he is best suited to an indoor home (a secure enclosed garden would be a bonus).

We know offering a palliative home can feel daunting. Loving an elderly cat means knowing time may be limited. But it also means giving comfort, safety and dignity when it matters most. It means being the reason his final chapter is filled with warmth instead of waiting.

Mr Patches doesn’t need years.
He just needs someone.

If you can offer this gentle old gent the soft landing he deserves, please come forward. 🤍

💔 STILL WAITING… CANDY 💔
Candy D2025-103 | 15-month-old English Bulldog

Candy doesn’t know she’s been overlooked.
She doesn’t know she hasn’t had a single application.
She just knows that when someone walks into the room, that person is definitely there for her.

Candy is the bulldog who should have had a queue.
Young. Loving. Funny. Brave.
But because she came into rescue with health issues (the kind far too common for bulldogs), she’s been quietly passed by.

And honestly? That’s heartbreaking — because Candy is pure joy on four very solid legs.

💗 Candy’s story
Since coming into rescue, Candy has had:
• Face fold removal
• Entropion surgery on both eyes
• BOAS surgery

She now breathes better, sees clearly, and is finally able to be the puppy she never got to be. She will need lifelong eye drops for dry eye and is rehomed as an assisted adoption for this — but she takes her medication like an absolute star. No fuss. No drama. Just patience and trust.

🐾 Who Candy really is
Candy is:
• A bulldozer with feelings
• A wiggle-powered cuddle machine
• Completely unaware of personal space
• Deeply in love with people

She’s less “dainty dog” and more “plops herself directly on your feet and sighs happily”.

She loves everyone she meets, is fine meeting dogs on walks, and would happily make herself your full-time footstool if you work from home.

🍖 The honest bits
Candy is young, enthusiastic, and food-obsessed. She:
• Needs to eat separately from other dogs
• Can be mouthy in play (bulldog teeth, bulldog enthusiasm)
• Would suit a home with older children only
• Hasn’t been tested with cats
• Plays with toys… sharing optional

She walks well on a harness (essential due to BOAS surgery), sleeps happily downstairs or on the sofa, and is housetrained/puppy-pad trained — though patience is needed while she settles into a new routine.

🏡 Candy’s perfect home
Candy doesn’t need perfection.
She needs commitment.

A home that:
• Will keep up her eye & skin routine
• Will continue her training and boundaries
• Understands bulldogs (or is willing to learn)
• Has someone around most of the day

She could live with an older neutered male dog after good introductions, but she’d also thrive as the only princess.

📍 Vet requirements (important)
Candy must live:
• Close to her current vets in Nantwich, Cheshire, or
• Be willing to travel there, or
• Be near Friends of Animals vets in Wales for continued treatment under the rescue’s care

📋 The practical bits
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Flea & worming up to date
✔️ Neutering agreement
✔️ 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance
✔️ Fostered in Stoke-on-Trent

Candy isn’t broken.
She isn’t “too much”.
She’s a young bulldog who survived a rough start and is ready to be loved properly.

If you’ve ever said “I don’t mind a bit of extra care — I just want a good dog”
Candy is your girl.

Please don’t let her keep waiting.

Meet Nora – a little dog with a very big heart
Nora D2026-08 | 8-year-old Jack Russell

If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion who will brighten your days, Nora might just be the one 💛

Nora has completely won over her foster family. She is wonderful with visitors, lovely with people she meets on walks and even happy relaxing in cafés. As long as she feels safe with her human and people approach her calmly and kindly, Nora soon relaxes and enjoys gentle strokes (especially if a treat is involved!).

Being a very small dog, Nora would find life with young children stressful, but she would be fine with older, dog-savvy children who understand her needs.

One of Nora’s most heart-melting qualities is how beautifully she lives with other animals. She is fantastic with the foster family’s cat and can often be found snoozing beside him on the sofa. She also adores other dogs – joining in playtimes, wagging her tail happily, and cuddling up to sleep with them.

Nora loves her walks. When she sees her lead, she twirls with excitement and jumps up to her foster mum. She walks like a dream on lead, passing dogs and people politely, and is happy wearing a collar, harness and even a coat.

At home, Nora is a joy. She sleeps soundly through the night with no accidents, wakes up bouncing around “like Tigger” giving kisses and asking for cuddles, and is doing brilliantly with her toilet routine – now confidently asking to go outside by standing at the back door.

She loves her food, has no issues around treats, and happily queues up alongside the resident dogs. Most of all, Nora adores human company and thrives when someone is around for most of the day.

🐾 Nora’s ideal home

  • A calm, loving home where she isn’t left alone for long periods
  • A kind resident dog is essential – she feels safest with a canine friend
  • Secure garden to explore
  • Daily walks and lots of affection
  • Older children only

💉 Nora is:
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up to date with flea & worming
✔️ Comes with 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance

📍 Fostered in Pen Y Cae, Powys

Nora is a beautiful little bundle of love who gives so much back. All she asks for is companionship, kindness and a furry friend by her side. If you think you could offer Nora the forever home she deserves, please apply below.

🐾 Meet Haruki – the Treat-Loving, Tummy-Rub Champion 🐾
Haruki D2026-10 | 2-year-old Japanese Chin
📍 Fostered in Cardiff

Haruki is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart before you even realise it’s happened.

In his foster home, Haruki greets each morning like a little bundle of joy — bouncing up and down like Tigger, delighted to see his people and ready to start the day. With new visitors, he’s polite and thoughtful: lying on his tummy, watching carefully… then slowly edging closer until those tummy rubs are simply unavoidable.

Once you’re in his circle, that’s it — you’re officially his best friend. Especially if treats or cuddles are involved! Haruki has the sweetest habit of tapping his front paws as if to say “excuse me, could we play or cuddle now please?” 🥰

He enjoys pottering in the garden and has the cutest bursts of zoomies, but the moment the back door opens he dashes inside, thrilled because he knows a treat might be waiting. He even saves some treats for later, carefully hiding them in his dog bed and sneaking back when he thinks no one is watching — clever boy!

💤 Haruki sleeps downstairs all night on his dog bed and spends his days either snoozing in the living room or snuggled up next to his foster mum. He travels well in the car, snores adorably, and is a calm, gentle presence in the home.

🐕 What Haruki needs:

  • A family home with a resident gentle, playful dog to give him confidence and companionship
  • Children 6 years and over who can be kind and respectful
  • A patient home willing to encourage him with walking — he wears a harness and lead happily but can be stubborn (treats and encouragement work wonders!)

🏡 Good to know:

  • Doing brilliantly with house training and happily uses puppy pads if the door isn’t open
  • Eats perfectly around other dogs with no guarding issues
  • Not interested in toys (he prefers people!)
  • Not cat or small-furry tested

Haruki is:

  • Neutered
  • Vaccinated
  • Microchipped
  • Up to date with flea & worming
  • Comes with 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance

Haruki is a gentle, affectionate little soul who needs a loving family and a doggy friend to help him continue building confidence. In return, he offers loyalty, quiet companionship, and endless tummy-rub requests 💖

Dearest gentle reader…

It is with great anticipation that Lady Whistledog (ahem) presents to you a most charming lady of the ton, seeking her forever household.

🎀 Miss Freya of Cardiff 🎀
Freya | D2026-14 | 8 years young

Allow us to introduce Freya, an elegant and affectionate lady whose true delights are found not in society balls, but in warm laps, gentle head rubs, and devoted companionship.

At first introduction, Miss Freya may offer a small announcement of herself to visitors with a little bark — after all, one must maintain standards. Fear not, for she soon settles, and before long will be found perched upon a lap, requesting head scratches as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Once she knows you, her devotion is unwavering.

In her foster household, Freya has blossomed beautifully. She adores her foster mama and papa and can most often be found snuggled upon the sofa, nudging insistently should the head rubs pause for even a moment too long. Her most favoured position? Flat upon her back, draped dramatically across foster dad’s lap — a pose most becoming of a lady entirely at ease.

While polite with fellow canines and happy to share a bed or lap (particularly with dogs she already knows), Freya is quite indifferent to toys and would rather focus her energies on cuddles and companionship. Cats, however, are not welcome in her future estate.

On her limited excursions outdoors, Freya has shown herself friendly and pleased to greet adults she meets. Children, however, cause her great unease. She becomes anxious around them and may bark or lunge, therefore Freya must be the sole young lady of a child-free household.

Freya is learning the ways of the lead — she becomes most excited when her harness appears and is content to walk, though her sense of direction and straight lines is still very much a work in progress. With patience and gentle guidance, this skill will surely improve.

At night, Freya sleeps soundly in a dog bed within a playpen, often alongside another dog, and greets each morning with boundless enthusiasm for her beloved humans. She arrived in rescue without house-training, but with regular trips outdoors she is making steady progress.

Mealtimes are conducted with good manners — she eats separately but waits her turn for treats and has even shared a plate of yoghurt most amicably.

💗 Freya seeks 💗
A calm, child-free home with someone around for much of the day, who has time for continued house training and an abundance of cuddles. In return, Freya will offer you her paws upon your legs, a heart-melting head tilt, and the kind of devotion that only a true lady can bestow.

🐾 Meet Eddie – Your Next Great Adventure Buddy! 🐾
Eddie D2026-09 | 5-year-old Jack Russell… something Cross 😉

Eddie may be listed as a Jack Russell cross, but truth be told, he didn’t exactly arrive with a label attached — and we never turn a dog away just because we don’t know their exact mix. What we do know is that Eddie is 100% good boy and 100% ready for his forever adventure.

This tiny, lively lad is a true explorer at heart, with a waggy tail, a big smile, and a love for everyone he meets. He bounds over to say hello, lives for fuss and cuddles, but his greatest joy is heading out on an adventure.

Eddie is playful, gentle, and would be brilliant with respectful children. He’s fine with other dogs big and small (not cat tested) and walks beautifully on the lead — sometimes a little too enthusiastically and needs reminding to slow down! Village strolls, field explorations, sniff-filled missions… even mountain treks — Eddie is game for it all. He’d also love off-lead playtime with doggy friends in a secure field.

Toys haven’t quite made it onto his priority list yet — he’s far too busy honing his explorer skills. At home, Eddie likes to keep watch from his favourite spot atop the sofa cushions, window-side, ensuring nothing exciting is missed. Come bedtime, he adores lap cuddles and strokes, but is equally happy sleeping downstairs on a cosy sofa or dog bed with the other dogs.

Toilet training is coming along nicely — he’s great in the garden and on walks, with the occasional indoor accident as he learns. He responds well to gentle correction and lots of praise. Mealtimes are easy too: no food guarding, eats politely from his own bowl, and takes treats gently while waiting his turn.

Eddie is looking for an active family who’ll shower him with love, cuddles, and plenty of chances to practise his adventure (and mountaineering!) skills. Though not a puppy, he’s a clever boy who’d really enjoy basic training classes and learning alongside his humans. His dream home includes a garden, a cosy sofa, a lookout window, and ideally another doggy companion.

Eddie’s Details:
• Neutered
• 1st vaccinations
• Microchipped
• Up to date with flea & worming

Meet Kenzo — A Young Man Ready for His Second Chance
Kenzo D2026-13 | 1-year-old Shih Tzu

Kenzo is a gorgeous little soul looking for a fresh start and a family to show him how wonderful life can be. Once he’s decided you’re his person, he’s all about snuggles, closeness and being your little shadow 🥰

New people can make Kenzo feel unsure at first, so a calm, understanding home would suit him best. Older, gentle teenagers who love cuddles would be perfect, but busy, boisterous young children may be too much for him.

Kenzo is still learning about the big wide world. Walks can feel scary right now, so he’d really benefit from having a confident doggy friend in the home to show him the ropes and help build his confidence. This will be a journey—but he’s worth it 💫

At home, Kenzo enjoys toys, zoomies when he’s excited, and prefers to sleep close to his human (yes, your bed is non-negotiable 😉). Toilet training is a work in progress, so he needs a patient family who understands he’s still learning.

Kenzo is looking for a loving, committed home that will guide him, support him, take him to training classes, and help him grow into the happy, confident little dog he’s meant to be. He’s just a young man who needs someone to believe in him 💙

🐾 Meet Socks — D2026-12 🐾
A second chance to become the dog he was always meant to be

Socks is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu cross starting over after a lifetime of relying on other dogs for confidence. Now on his own journey, he’s learning that the world isn’t so scary — especially with a warm lap, a tummy tickle, and a little liver paste involved!

He can be shy when you first meet him, but once you’ve won his trust, Socks is pure putty — a devoted, snuggly little companion who just wants to be close to his person. 💕

The outside world is still a bit big and noisy for Socks, so he needs gentle, routine walks and a calm, patient home. A confident resident dog would be ideal to show him how fun life can be.

🏡 Socks’ ideal home:
• Calm and patient
• Older children only
• A confident dog friend preferred
• Someone happy to let him be their shadow

He sleeps happily as long as his human is nearby and is still learning house training — puppy pads and outdoor toileting, with the odd accident as he learns. He tries so hard to be a good boy 💙

Meet Joseph – Your New Best (Snuggly) Friend!
Joseph D2025 | 8-year-old Pug | Neutered

Joseph is a joyful little pug with a big personality and an even bigger love for cuddles 🥰
He’s the kind of dog who believes everyone exists purely to give him attention… and honestly, he might be right!

This happy lad greets everyone with his iconic corkscrew tail wag, which makes his whole bum wiggle with excitement. Joseph doesn’t bother with toys or fetch — he’d much rather be jumping up for cuddles, soaking up love, and being the centre of attention 💕

💉 Joseph comes fully ready for adoption
✔️ Neutered
✔️ First vaccinations
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up-to-date flea & worming
✔️ 5 weeks FREE Agria pet insurance

🍔 Currently working on his “beach body”
Joseph is a little overweight at the moment and is on a strict slim-down plan. He walks nicely on a harness and lead but needs short, gentle walks with exercise increased gradually to protect his breathing. Future adopters must be happy to stick to his diet and share regular weight updates — Joseph is committed (even if he pretends otherwise!).

🏡 Home Sweet Home
• House trained
• Sleeps happily downstairs on the sofa or in his bed
• Eats well around other dogs (no treats right now — diet life!)
• Lives with other dogs in foster and could live with another calm dog
• Can get a little jealous over attention, so would also LOVE being your one and only 💙

👨‍👩‍👧 The perfect home for Joseph
Joseph would suit a quieter household, ideally with people who are home most of the time — retired or working from home would be perfect.
He can live with respectful children who understand that Joseph prefers cuddles over games of fetch.
Pug or flat-faced breed experience would be ideal.

🐶 Joseph in a nutshell
An energiser pug when excited, a calm older gentleman once settled, and an all-round happy little character who just wants to be loved exactly as he is.

✨☂️ A Spoonful of Love Makes the Rehoming Go Down… ☂️✨
Meet Bramble – practically perfect in every way 💖

Bramble – D2025-99 – 5 years old
🐾 Neutered
🐾 Vaccinated, microchipped & up to date with flea and worming
🐾 Comes with 5 weeks FREE Agria Pet Insurance
📍 Fostered in Llantrisant

If Mary Poppins were a dog… it would be Bramble 💫
This beautiful girl floats through life with joy in her heart, a wag in her tail, and kisses for absolutely everyone she meets.

🌸 People are her favourite thing
Visitors? Best friends.
Strangers on walks? New admirers.
Cafe babies? She was delighted to say hello (even to 1-year-olds!)
Bramble is a true people dog who adores cuddles, fuss and being close to her humans. Older children would suit her best as she prefers her human lap all to herself.

🐾 Cuddles, calm & confidence
Bramble loves to curl up in cosy beds or stretch out on the sofa, wrapping her paws around you and delivering the sweetest kisses. She enjoys toys, brushing, naps and gentle play. She has never been naughty – an absolute darling with a cheeky sparkle ✨
And yes… she may also be the prettiest girl in the world 💕

🐶 Other animals
• Happy around other dogs but not dependent on them
• Loves a zoomy lurcher friend for garden chase games
• Not keen on sharing her human lap, but very tolerant otherwise
• Met the foster cat and didn’t bat an eyelid – could possibly live with a cat, though she’d prefer to be the main apple of her human’s eye 🍎

🦮 Walks & routines
Harness on? No problem at all.
Bramble loves her walks, walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys stopping to sniff and explore. Fields, village potters, solo or with doggy friends – she’s happy as can be. Off-lead fun so far has only been in secure gardens.

🏡 Home life
• Sleeps downstairs with other dogs, quietly all night
• Totally housetrained – not a single accident
• Greets mornings with pure joy
• Would definitely love to share her human’s bed if invited 👀💕

🍽️ Food & treats
Perfect manners, of course.
She eats happily alongside other dogs, waits patiently for her bowl, takes treats gently and scampers off to enjoy them in her bed. Not fussy at all – kibble with a bit of wet food suits her just fine.

💻 Working-from-home companion
Bramble currently “helps” her foster mum work from home and is a regular attendee at Teams meetings… where she steals hearts every single time 💕

🌈 Bramble’s happily-ever-after
She would love a family home with plenty of laps, cuddles and humans around most of the time. She can live with or without another dog, as long as love is in good supply. A toy box, comfy beds, a garden, regular walks, brushing and maybe some doggy playdates would be simply splendid.

Bramble really is practically perfect in every way
All she’s missing… is you. 💕☂️

Meet Connie
Connie D2026-02
🐾 4-year-old Bichon 🐾

Connie is an absolute sweetheart who has settled beautifully into her foster home. She greets everyone with a waggy tail and the cutest little smile and absolutely loves being involved in whatever her humans are doing 🥰

She’s a bit of a shadow and will happily follow you around the house — especially when foster mum stands up, just in case it’s treat time! Connie enjoys cuddles, snoozing on her dog bed, and pottering in the garden (though she’s definitely not a fan of the rain ☔😂).

Connie hasn’t been out on proper walks yet as she’s only had her first vaccination, but she’s fine wearing a harness and lead in the garden and travels well in the car. She’s polite around food, eats happily with other dogs, and doesn’t resource guard.

She would really thrive in a quiet family home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes and boost her confidence. Connie is still learning about toys and toileting, but she’s getting there with gentle encouragement.

💗 Connie’s Perfect Home:
✔ Another dog is essential
✔ Children aged 10+
✔ Calm, loving household
✔ Patient adopters who understand she’s still learning

📍 The Important Bits:
• Neutered
• 1st vaccination done
• Microchipped

🌼 ✨ Meet Lula & Honey – The Ultimate Mother–Daughter Dream Team! 🌼
Lula & Honey — D2025-101
Ages: Lula 2, Honey 7
Breed: Cavapoo & Cavalier Kings Charles
Bonded pair – must be adopted together

If you’ve ever wished for a ready-made duo of sunshine, snuggles, and pure joy… look no further! Lula and Honey are a mother-and-daughter pair who adore absolutely everyone — from the man fixing the oven to the Evri lady at the door. They greet every visitor with excited barks that quickly turn into full-speed cuddles.

These girls LOVE people. Truly. Enthusiastically. Whole-heartedly.
They’ll beam at you, bounce for affection (gently!), and make every day feel brighter. Because of their enthusiastic greetings, older children 10+ would be best.

🐿️ Honey, the older lady, also fancies herself a squirrel detective and shows great interest in chasing anything small and cheeky!
💛 Lula, her sweet daughter, is slightly more delicate and still working on building her appetite — she eats in her crate to avoid mum stealing her dinner!

Together they play beautifully, snuggle constantly, and have not the slightest interest in toys… because why play with toys when your favourite hobby is cwtching up on a chair together?

🌟 What They’re Like at Home

🐾 Free-roam the kitchen during the day
🐾 Sleep together in a crate at night
🐾 Fully housetrained
🐾 Walk nicely in their harnesses (although Honey thinks she’s on a mission and can be strong on the lead — currently walked on two leads for safety)
🐾 Absolutely adore attention and being with their humans

They’re an affectionate, people-oriented pair who would thrive in an active home with owners willing to continue their lead training and enjoy their love of walks.

💛 Medical Info

✔️ Both neutered
✔️ First vaccinations
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up to date with flea & wormer
✔️ Come with 5 weeks free Agria insurance

Meet Daisy – A Bundle of Joy Looking for Her Forever Home
Daisy D2024-44
🐾 18-month-old Westie x Bichon

If happiness had four legs and a wagging tail, it would be Daisy 💛
This bright, bouncy girl absolutely adores everyone she meets and greets the world with pure excitement and enthusiasm.

Daisy’s favourite things in life?
🎾 PLAYING (all of it!) – toys, balls, cuddly toys, chewy toys… if it’s in the toy box, she’s rummaging for it
🐕 Walkies – she gets so excited she’ll even lift her front paws to help you put her harness on
🤍 Company & cuddles – sofa snuggles, dog beds, and ideally sleeping close to her humans if allowed

Daisy is still young and full of beans, which means she can sometimes get a little too enthusiastic and forget her manners – especially when playing. She’s learning quickly though and responds really well to training. When her “teefs” come out during play, she’s redirected to a toy and praised, and she’s already catching on beautifully 🌟

She loves other dogs but would be happiest with an older or bigger, calmer dog who can help teach her how to play nicely. She’s especially delighted when another dog gently puts her in her place… belly rubs included!

🐾 Out and about:

  • Loves walks and exploring
  • Walks well alone or with other dogs
  • Calm when seeing people, dogs and children on walks

🏡 At home:

  • Enjoys cosy beds and sofas
  • Mostly toilet trained (a few accidents while settling)
  • Fussy eater but improves with praise and company
  • Loves treats and enjoys them peacefully in her bed

👨‍👩‍👧 Daisy’s ideal home:

  • A fun, active family
  • Older children 10+ (due to her excitable play style)
  • A secure garden for playtime
  • Commitment to training and clear, consistent boundaries
  • Puppy classes would be a huge bonus – she’s eager to learn and please

🚫 Cannot live with cats or small furries

📍 Fostered in Llantrisant
✔ Neutered

✔ Microchipped
✔ Up to date with flea & worming
✔ Comes with 5 weeks FREE Agria pet insurance

🐾 Popsey – D2025-93 🐾
1 year old Dachshund Cross
📍 Fostered in Cardiff

Popsey is a young dachshund cross who is looking for a calm, understanding home where her needs can be met as she continues her recovery and builds confidence.

Popsey can be nervous around people she doesn’t know and may initially bark and appear defensive. Once she has time to get to know someone, she settles well and is comfortable with familiar people. Because of this, adopters must be willing to allow Popsey to go at her own pace and understand that confidence takes time.

She is currently recovering from an injury to her leg. Her 10-week post-operative check went well and the vets are pleased with her progress. Popsey will now require physiotherapy to aid her recovery, which will be fully discussed with potential adopters. She has not yet been walked due to her injury but has been well-behaved and cooperative at the vet. She is used to wearing a harness and is good on the lead when needed.

Popsey enjoys the company of people and does not like being left alone in a separate room. At night she prefers to sleep either in her owner’s bed or in a crate beside the bed. She is house trained, although true to her dachshund nature, this can sometimes depend on the weather!

In her foster home, Popsey will play nicely with a submissive male dog, but she can be quite dominating with other dogs. For this reason, she would be best suited as an only dog with doggy friends, or possibly with a calm, older, submissive male dog. She has not been tested with cats or small furries.

Due to her nervousness with unfamiliar people, Popsey would be best in a home with children aged 12 years and over. She eats separately from other dogs and takes treats nicely. Toys are optional in her world – she can take them or leave them.

Popsey is very energetic, loves running around the garden, and would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to provide companionship, reassurance, and continued training.

Popsey will be adopted on a neutering agreement and comes:

  • First vaccination completed
  • Microchipped
  • Up-to-date flea and worming
  • 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance

Popsey is a young dog who needs patience, structure, and understanding – but in the right home, she has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion.

✨ Meet Sooty – The Pocket-Sized Fun Machine! ✨
Sooty D2025-103 – 5-year-old Maltese
Fostered in Newport

If you’re looking for a little dog with a BIG zest for life… look no further. Meet Sooty, the tiny tornado of joy who loves people, playtime and anything involving a BALL. (Seriously. Hide it at your own risk. He will find it.)

Sooty once had the most wonderful home and was a cherished, happy boy, but through very sad circumstances his mummy can no longer care for him. She made the bravest, kindest decision for him, and now Sooty is ready to find a new family just as loving as the one he came from. 💛

🌟

What Sooty Loves (Spoiler: EVERYTHING FUN)

🎾 Ball throwing – If your arm gets tired easily… Sooty is NOT the dog for you.
🏃‍♂️ Zooming around the garden – Bonus points if other dogs chase him.
🐶 Doggie friends – A playful resident dog is a MUST. He likes friends who play, grumble, chase and generally join in the fun.
🚶‍♀️ Walkies, walkies, walkies! – He’s currently enjoying three a day and would happily fit in more.
👧👦 Children – Sooty LOVES kids of all ages, and they love him back. Because they never get bored of throwing his ball.
(Just note: he’s bouncy and fast, so children 6+ who can stay on their feet are ideal!)

Snuggles – At night he melts into your bed, tucks himself as close as physically possible, and sleeps like the perfect little angel.

❌ What Sooty Does Not Love

🐱 Cats – Absolutely not. He’ll bark, chase and complain about them loudly.
(He says they started it… we remain unconvinced.)

🏡 Sooty’s Perfect Home

Sooty is looking for:

✔ An active family
✔ Children 6+ who love playing
✔ A garden for zoomies
✔ A friendly resident dog who loves to play
✔ Someone who doesn’t mind a small white shadow following them everywhere
✔ Someone who accepts that they will be a full-time ball thrower

He’s house-trained, though he may have a few accidents as he settles. He eats beautifully around other dogs and is a gentle, loving boy with the sweetest heart.

🩺 Sooty Comes With:

• Neutered
• Vaccinated
• Microchipped
• Up-to-date flea & worm treatment
5 weeks free Agria insurance
• Unlimited snuggles
• A lifelong devotion to whoever throws the ball best

🌟 Meet Bertie – The Little Poodle With a Big Heart and a Hedgehog Toy!
Bertie D2025 • 3-year-old Toy x Miniature Poodle
📍 Fostered in Cardiff
🧡 Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped & up to date with flea/wormer
🐾 Comes with 5 weeks free Agria insurance

If you’re looking for a cheerful, clever, people-loving companion who greets every visitor with a toy hedgehog proudly in his mouth… then say hello to Bertie. This adorable boy wins hearts the second he waddles over, toy in tow, ready to welcome you into his world.

🐶 Personality

Bertie is a happy, sociable little chap who loves meeting new people and dogs while out on his twice-daily walks. He’s brilliant with most dogs, big or small, but he’s not the biggest fan of Westies or Frenchies—everyone has their preferences, right?

Once settled, he’ll happily snuggle up beside you on the sofa or your chair. He can be a bit cheeky and will sometimes try to grab your feet if they’re off the floor, but it’s all part of his quirky charm.

He’s also got a streak of stubbornness… but it just makes him even more endearing.

🌱 Confidence & Training

Bertie is fully house-trained and knows basic commands such as sit, paw, stop, wait, come. His recall isn’t reliable yet, so he’s never been off lead. A secure field would be perfect to help him burn off extra energy and practice safely.

He hasn’t lived with stairs before, but we’re sure he’ll pick it up quickly—he’s a clever lad.

🚫 Sensitivities

This little fluffball does not like loud noises such as fireworks, motorbikes, or e-scooters. He also doesn’t enjoy having a finger pointed at him, so gentle handling is important.

🛏️ Home Life

Bertie loves the garden, loves a game of fetch, and will happily play alone or with anyone willing to join in.
He sleeps next to the bed at night but jumps up for a 10-minute goodnight cuddle before settling himself on his dog bed. During the day, he alternates between his bed and the sofa for naps.

He travels fabulously in the car and has no issues eating around other dogs—no guarding, no fussing. He’s also not particularly food-motivated, so treats don’t sway him much.

🏡 What Bertie Needs

Bertie can live as an only dog or with another friendly dog.
He can live with children 8+ who understand when he needs quiet time.

Bertie is not keen on cats tested and hasn’t met small furries.

More than anything, Bertie is dreaming of an active family who will take him on adventures, include him in their fun, and enjoy his sweet, silly, toy-carrying ways.

🌈 If Bertie sounds like your perfect match, please apply to adopt and give this wonderful boy the loving home he deserves.

✨ Meet Coco – D2025-95
4-Year-Old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Coco is a confident, affectionate little lady who absolutely adores people. Wherever you go, she’s happy to follow with her tail gently wagging and her soft little snore waiting for you when she settles down for the night.

She hasn’t lived with young children before, so she’d be happiest in a home with older, dog-savvy children who can give her space as she continues to grow in confidence.

Coco is such a sweetheart – friendly with everyone she meets and always happy to say hello. She hasn’t been out on proper walks yet, but she’s perfectly comfortable having a harness or slip lead put on and is very good travelling in the car with her seat belt attached. She currently sleeps downstairs with the other dogs and has a fondness for the comfiest bed in the room!

Housetraining is still a work in progress. Coco is learning to follow the other dogs into the garden after mealtimes and is improving every day. Any accidents she does have are neatly placed on pads or towels – she really is trying her best.

She hasn’t shown interest in toys yet and is still figuring out the world of treats, but she eats nicely from her own bowl and is slowly discovering that no one is going to steal her food. She just needs time, patience, and reassurance.

Coco would love:
🐾 A warm, loving family home
🐾 Another friendly dog for companionship and confidence
🐾 Plenty of affection, gentle guidance and fun
🐾 A chance to learn how wonderful walks, playtime and toys can be

She hasn’t been cat-tested, but based on her nature she’s expected to be okay with them.

Coco is:
✔️ Neutered
✔️ 1st vaccinated
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up to date with flea and worming treatments

If you’re ready to give this gorgeous girl the love, stability and fun she deserves, Coco will repay you with loyalty, affection and her adorable little snore.

Truffle D2025-96

2 Year old Cocker Spaniel

Due to her nervous nature, Truffle would prefer to be with older children who understand her need for reassurance and gentle handling.

Truffle is very nervous but once she gets to know and trust you she is happy to be stroked, picked up and is learning that cuddles are good. She has not been out for walks yet but is getting used to visitors to the home and is starting to realise that people are kind and she likes them to stroke her. Once she trusts she really does like to be as close as possible.

Not tested, but she is very calm and laid back and would probably be fine.

Truffle has not yet discovered toys, she did once pick up a soft toy and take it to her bed and then forgot all about it. As she grows in confidence she will learn to play with toys, she just needs time, patience and a bit of help.

Truffle enjoys being on a lead in the garden and on visits to the vet. She seems to like being connected to her trusted human as she knows they are there to help her if she needs it but she is willing to be brave and give anything a go with some encouragement.

Truffle sleeps downstairs with the other dogs. She has the choice of sofas and many dog beds and usually opts for a quiet room away from others. Once she has learnt to enjoy cuddles, she would probably love to be a cuddle monster.

House training is a work in progress. She will only go out to the garden if on a lead with a human minder by her side to ward off all the other hounds. She is then happy to run around the garden to toilet and is praised for doing so. She then needs her human minder to walk her back indoors Indoors she will use puppy pads/newspaper/towels so will soon learn.

Truffle is starting to get used to having her own bowl of food without having to share it. She is happy to eat her food and not bothered if others come near her, she will walk away if another dog approaches her when she is eating. Currently she is fed away from others so she gets a chance to finish her food and the others know not to take her food so she is beginning to trust.

Truffle would love a home that understands she needs time and patience and encouragement to help her find her brave pants. She would love a quiet home where there are places she can hide safely and watch what is going on. But she would really love kind people she can learn to trust and have cuddles with when she is ready. She needs a calm but fun and confident resident dog who can help her understand how to be a pet and enjoy cuddles and having fun. She would love a garden to play in and a doggy friend to tear around and chase together. If her doggy friend and humans can help teach her how to enjoy love and toys and fun and how to go on walks and adventures she would be so happy. Truffle has so much fun and love to give, she just needs a bit of help to get there.

✨ Eddie D2025-92 — Looking for His Perfect Home ✨
3-Year-Old Bulldog
Fostered in Merthyr Tydfil
Neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with flea & worming treatment
Comes with 5 weeks free Agria insurance

Meet Eddie, a big character with an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is full of joy, fun and enthusiasm, but he needs the right home to help him thrive.

🏡 What Eddie Needs

Eddie is not suited to homes with small or young children. His strength, excitement and loud barking for attention can be overwhelming for little ones. He means no harm, but his boisterous nature can easily knock children over.

Eddie also requires restricted exercise due to his bulldog conformation, so he needs a home that understands he is not a long-walk or high-activity dog. Short, controlled walks and plenty of calm time at home are essential for his wellbeing.

🐶 Personality

Eddie is a very happy, affectionate boy who loves being involved in everything. He thrives on interaction and attention, enjoys playing tug-of-war, and will happily potter around following his people. He doesn’t always understand his size or strength, especially when excited, so his new home must be confident and prepared for a big bouncy lad.

👣 Behaviour & Training

  • Fully housetrained
  • Walks well on a harness
  • Sleeps in a bed next to foster mum
  • Great meeting people and other dogs on walks
  • May try to pinch food from other dogs — not aggressive, just dominant
  • Not suitable with cats — he chases and corners them

🐕 Other Pets

Eddie could potentially live with another dog, but we strongly recommend larger breeds only, as his rough play style could unintentionally harm a smaller dog. He would also be very content as the only dog in the home.

🌟 Ideal Home

Eddie needs:

  • A calm, less-busy home (busy environments overstimulate him)
  • Owners who can offer companionship, structure and sensible, restricted exercise
  • Someone confident with strong, boisterous breeds
  • No small children
  • No cats
  • A family who understands and is comfortable with his ongoing needs related to his conformation

🩺 Medical Support

Eddie needs restricted exercise which will be discussed with applicants.
Due to his conformation, he may require ongoing support, and Friends of Animals Wales will cover any necessary medical bills if required.

Eddie is a loving, joyful boy who just needs the right environment to thrive. If you can offer him the patience, calmness and care he needs, he will repay you with endless affection and fun.

🐾 WAFFLE – D2025-94
6-Month-Old Cavapoo Cross
Fostered in Cardiff
🏡
Neutered | 1st Vaccs | Microchipped | Flea & Wormer Up to Date
Comes with 5 Weeks Free Agria Insurance

Meet Waffle, our gorgeous little cinnamon-swirl of a pup who is as sweet as his name suggests! At just 6 months old, Waffle is a lively, affectionate, people-loving bundle of fun who wants nothing more than to be close to his humans.

💛 A Little Munchkin Full of Love

Waffle is thriving in his foster home. He adores people and will happily follow foster mum everywhere—just in case she’s doing something exciting or has snacks in hand! He loves to curl up beside you, snuggle into your shoulder like a cosy living scarf, and at night he sleeps above foster mum’s head. This boy just loves to be close.

He’s also perfected the art of racing foster mum back to her chair and trying to claim her seat first… because Waffle knows prime cuddling spots matter!

🌦 Loves the Garden… Unless It’s Raining

Waffle enjoys exploring the garden, practicing on his harness and lead, and “strutting his stuff”—even if the rain is definitely not his favourite thing, coat or no coat!

🐾 Training & Socialising

Waffle would really benefit from attending puppy classes to help him learn, grow, and thrive—he’s still very much a baby.

He hasn’t been on official walks yet as he’s only had his first vaccination, but he’s doing brilliantly practising in the garden.

Toileting is improving well: he mostly toilets outside now, and will use a puppy pad by the back door if it’s not open. He’s fully clean at night.

🐶 Other Pets

Waffle can be:
✔️ An only dog with doggy friends outside the home
✔️ Or live happily with another dog

He hasn’t been tested with small furries. He has met the stray cat foster mum feeds—he barked, went nose-to-nose, and showed no aggression. With slow, sensible introductions, he may well be fine.

🧸 Playtime & Personality

Waffle LOVES toys! He’ll happily play with foster mum, with visitors, or independently. He’s bouncy, playful and eager to please—he just wants to be part of the fun.

He’s gentle taking treats (once he’s finished bouncing like Tigger!) and shows no food guarding around other dogs.

🧒 Children

Waffle can live with children 7+, as he loves having little humans to play with and toss his ball.

🏞 The Home Waffle Dreams Of

Waffle would love an active family who will include him in their adventures—long walks, days out, holidays, and plenty of playtime. Once his recall is trained, he’ll be a fantastic little dog to run free and explore with.

He wants a home where he can be involved, adored, and cuddled—because being close to his people is his absolute favourite thing in the world.

🩺 Health

Waffle has mild dermatitis, which is clearing up beautifully.

⭐️ Buddy D2025-97 — Ready for His Forever Family ⭐️
5-year-old Pug
Fostered in Newport
Children 4+

Meet Buddy, a charming, spirited little pug who loves being part of everything that’s going on. He’s come from a home and it truly shows—he’s well-behaved, affectionate, and full of character… with that classic “pug knows his own mind” streak!

💛 About Buddy

Buddy is housetrained, loves fuss from absolutely anyone, and enjoys being involved in all the action. He’ll happily let you know (every 4 hours!) when it’s time for his next walk, and once he’s out and about he sniffs for England. He loves his walks, pulls a little to start, says hello politely to dogs, and then carries on with his day.

He’s not a big player, but he does expect to be included—especially if another dog is getting attention. He’s not aggressive at all; he’s just still figuring out how to interact confidently with other dogs. He sleeps well in the kitchen with his foster sibling, but deep down Buddy would love a comfier spot closer to his humans.

🏡 What Buddy Needs

Buddy would do well as the only dog or with a calm companion. What matters most is that he gets enough attention and stays involved in family life—he thrives on it. He can live with children aged 4+, and he ignored the neighbour’s cat, so with sensible introductions he may be fine around cats.

He’s housetrained but has done the odd wee at the door, and he does like to mark outside (which should settle now he’s been castrated). Like many pugs, he’s always on the lookout to check whether someone else’s food might be better than his… but he isn’t a greedy lad.

He’ll bark at loud noises and is energetic for his breed, but most of all he is affectionate, loyal, and wants to be loved.

🐾 Buddy Comes With:

✔️ Neutered
✔️ First vaccinations
✔️ Microchipped
✔️ Up-to-date flea & wormer
✔️ 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance

If you can offer Buddy the attention, routine, and affection he adores…
