Wren D2025-06
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• Can also live with other dogs
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Children over 8
Wren is a 5 year Old King Charles Cavalier who is good with people in the home, and will approach to see what the person is up to. She always has a wagging tail when anyone enters the room. Wren loves to have her ears and neck rubbed. She is not a cuddly dog yet. She has a lovely nature and loves to follow you around to see what you’re doing.
She hasn’t been out on a walk as she has only had her 1st Vaccination.
She gets excited when waiting for her food but will sit and wait when told. She takes treats gently from your hand when offered.
Wren hasn’t been around children in the foster home, but older dog savvy children aged over 8 who will give Wren the space she needs would be fine.
Not been around cats or small furries.
Wren doesn’t know how to play with toys, but foster mum, has been throwing a ball out the garden which she will chase and try and play with it.
Wren is doing good in the garden on a harness and lead. Practice makes perfect.
Wren sleeps downstairs in either the living room or kitchen on the dog beds, as she has the run of downstairs during the night, so she has a choice on where she wants to sleep.
Wren is house-trained, and she will walk back and forth to let you know she needs to go out to the toilet. When she comes in after being to the toilet she gets excited as she gets praised and she has a treat for doing good.
She eats well around other dogs but will have a little grumble if they are fed to close.
Wren would suit most families as long as they take in to consideration that family needs to be on the quieter side. She would not do well in a noisy or busy home. Once settled she will enjoy little adventures but will need the support of her family who she would prefer to be around most of the time. She could be an only dog with doggy friends or live with a resident dog.

Ember D2024-04
• Needs a resident dog
• No cats
• Older dog savvy children
• Would benefit from attending puppy class.
Ember is a 16 Month old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster family as a very sweet, energetic, playful and loving dog. She’s very affectionate and has the most beautiful temperament. She’s a little timid and shy around other people in the home apart from her chosen human. When she bonds with her favourite human she will follow you everywhere. She is a real snuggler and loves nothing more than physical contact. She really is a beautiful natured dog.
Ember hasn’t met any children but were sure she would be fine due to her gentle nature, older sensible children 8 years +.
Not good with cats.
Ember has just started to play with toys and it’s amazing to watch her play.
Ember hasn’t been out on a walk yet as she’s just been spayed. She allows a harness to be put on and will walk on a lead with encouragement in the garden. She’s doing really well.
Ember sleeps on the bed next to foster mum and is a real bed hogger. She loves to go under the covers, she will also lay on the pillows like a human. She is like a little hot water bottle.
Ember is nearly there with her toilet training and will go towards the door to let you know she wants to go out. Currently she like company when in the garden and she is given lots of praise and a nice treat when she has done well.
Ember gets so excited at feeding time, she jumps and spins around. She’s absolutely fine to eat around other dogs.
Ember would be happiest in a loving, active home with a doggie friend to show her doggy ways and who doesn’t mind sharing their human. She hasn’t experienced any love in her short life so far now needs lots of cuddles and attention. She would ideally like someone who is home most of the time and loves a cuddle.

Tinsel D2025-01
• Only dog
• No cats
• Can live with older dog savvy children
• Due to a traumatic time she does suffer with separation anxiety
Tinsel is our little xmas miracle and is now ready to find her special forever home. She is a 2 year old terrier who had her left front leg and shoulder amputated just after xmas. She loves people and is very affectionate. She loves cuddles, to be picked up and most of all loves to be snuggled up next to her favourite human on the sofa. She is very sociable with visitors especially if they bring treats.
She is not cat or small furry tested but we wouldn’t recommend her be rehomed with any. She can live with older dog savvy teenagers.
Tinsel shows little interest in toys but will chase a ball but soon loses interest.
Tinsel loves to go for a walk but this needs to be in a harness as it gives her more stability.
Tinsel sleeps on her bed beside foster Mum. She sleeps soundly through the night and often has to be woken up in the morning. She can climb and descend stairs with no problem but at the moment is carried up and down. She does not like to be left alone at night.
Tinsel is 75% housetrained if she gets caught short, she will urinate on a puppy pad which is often due to anxiety when foster Mum is out of sight. She responds well to toileting in the garden on a regular basis when prompted.
She loves her food and there are no problem with anyone taking food away.
Tinsel would benefit from being an only dog receiving lots of love and attention from a family at home most of the day. She is not phased by noises in and outside the home but does suffer from separation anxiety and can become quite distressed if left alone for too long.

Asher D2024-157
• Needs a resident dog/dogs
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Older dog savvy children
• Patient family
Asher is a 7 year old Bichon described by his foster family as a typical puppy farm dog who is very unsure around humans he doesn’t know. If in doubt he will run to his safe space and watch from afar. Walking outside on the lead is work in progress as it’s scary out in the big wide world, so new owners would need to work on this slowly and gradually as this will take him time to learn
Asher is fine around older gentle and understanding children 10+ that will leave him to adapt and watch and not bother him too much. Younger louder children may be too much and will scare him.
Asher relies a lot on other dogs in the home. He doesn’t have a lot of confidence by himself and will let the resident dog lead the way. He will sit back watch and then once he feels safe he will join in, so it’s very important he has another dog to help him flourish. He plays with the other dog in the home and they zoomie up and down the garden.
Walking on the lead is work in progress and will need to be continued around the garden in his new home before he does outside.
Asher sleeps in the kitchen with the resident dog in the dog bed all night. He would be happy to also sleep on the bed with the foster mum and has done from time to time.
Toilet training is a work in progress and is going to need some work. He’s slowly learning but will still have accidents inside the home. Please consider this when adopting a puppy farm dog as this will have to be worked on and will come slowly.
Asher loves his food and eats really well. He has no food aggression and loves treats
Asher is ideally looking for a quiet home that will have patience with him as he’s a slow burner. He relies heavily on the resident dog in the home to snuggle up with and learn from. Once he trusts his human he will snuggle up and enjoy lots of cuddles but that needs to be built slowly by letting him decompress and be left to learn from the other dog. Time will be the biggest thing with Asher and his new home must let him decompress over time and not rush him to soon. Asher is a gentle boy but an unsure soul but once he trusts you will have his all.

Pumpkin D 2024-164
• Needs a resident dog/dogs
• Older dog savvy children
• Can live with dog savvy cats.
Pumpkin is a 1 year old Shitzu cross described by her foster family as a nervous little boy who is good with people once he gets to know you. He is taking his queues from the resident dogs and are looking to them for support. He loves having cuddles and sitting next to his foster family on the sofa. He doesn’t like sudden or unexpected movement or noises and likes a calm home.
Pumpkin hasn’t yet been out for walks as he has only had his first injection and is still decompressing. He is practicing in the house with a harness and lead under supervision as is doing well but will need more practice.
Pumpkin can be homed with children 8 and over who will take things slowly and read and play with him as he comes out of his shell.
He is okay with cats but will chase if they run. This is mostly down to one of his foster brothers showing him how to be nawty. If the resident dog does not chase cats neither, will he.
He hasn’t yet discovered the joy of toys but is starting to carry them around in his mouth. He will play Zoomies with the resident dogs but is not sure yet how to play other doggy games such as tug and fetch. He will soon get used to this with the right doggy sibling.
Pumpkin sleeps on the bottom of his foster parents bed as he needs to be close and this is where the resident dogs sleep. He absolutely loves bed time and looks at you when he thinks everyone should be going to bed. He has also been known to stay in bed and creep under the covers when the rest of the house is awake to have an extra 40 winks.
He is almost fully house trained he just needs lots of opportunities to be taken outside to toilet and a routine. He is following the other dogs so if your dogs are good he will be good.
Pumpkin currently eats away from the resident dogs to make sure he only eats his food and we would recommend a slow feeder.
Pumpkin needs a quieter home with a resident dog and patient owners who will help him adjust. Once he has decompressed and a bond has been built, he would benefit from attending puppy class to help with basic training and socialisation. He is a very lovely boy who has had to grow up very quickly but is still just a puppy at heart. He just needs the opportunity to be a puppy and to feel safe with a loving family.

Rosie D2024

• Can be an only dog
• Can also live with another dog
• Not cat or small furry tested
• Family who likes walks and cuddles
• Family willing to meet her a few times so she gets to know them
Rosie is a 3 year old lurcher who loves nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa after a fun walk! She is an energetic bouncy girl and loves playing with toys in the house. After spending her first 11 months living in a kennel, she was brought into a vets seriously unwell where she was then signed over. Once back on the mend she was fostered and adopted and settled well in to a family home. Due to a sad change in circumstances Rosie now needs to find another home. She needs a local home that can visit and get to her know her a few times before she moves to her new forever home.
She is toilet trained but will need walking regularly. She walks really well on the lead and loves a good zoomie session off lead. She responds well to her name and will come back easily especially if you have a treat for her.
She is very food oriented and can be a little bit cheeky and get food off the sides in the kitchen but has never shown any food aggression around people or other dogs. She absolutely loves treats and will sit and wait patiently to be given them!
Even though she has three legs that doesn’t stop her from jumping around excited when her favourite people come through the door!
Rosie can be an only dog but does enjoy other dogs company once she’s introduced to them so can live with other dogs. She hasn’t been cat or little furry tested in a home.
Rosie can be a nervous girl due to her bad past experiences and can take some time coming around to new people but once she trusts you she is the most loyal lovely girl.
Rosie has been around children regularly but is bouncy and energetic so would need to be 5+ and dog savvy.
Rosie would fit in to an active home that has plenty of time for walks and after walk snuggles. She settles well in a car for travelling short distances.

Mikey D2024-127

Older dog savvy children

Needs to be an only dog

No cats
Mikey arrived in his new foster home about 5 weeks ago. He is blind but may be able to distinguish a little between light and shade. Within a few days he had created a mental map of the house and garden and rarely bumps into anything.
He is completely housetrained and there have been no accidents. In the garden he is meticulous about his toilet habits and takes his time choosing the right place. Out in the park he gleefully deposits his presence all over the place.
Mikey is friendly when meeting other dogs but isn’t too keen at them running at his face so his foster pawrents get between any approaching dogs and his head and direct their attention elsewhere.
As his nose is his main source of information about his surroundings he tends to lurch about wherever his nose sends him so he needs close lead control to stop him walking in front of you ! He mooches along happily with his nose to the ground most of the time.
He enjoys the attention of people he meets when out and loves it when children make a fuss of him.
At home he is happiest curled up next to his foster pawrents sleeping.
Mikey is a very serious dog and doesn’t interact with toys much. his foster family plan to get him a ball with a bell in soon, to see if he will chase that. His favourite distraction is a beef shin bone with bits of meat stuffed in it and will spend a long time figuring out how to get the food out.
Mikey sleeps on his upstairs bed and has to be woken up in the morning. He is very food oriented and can be found right behind his foster family if they are in the kitchen.

Herbert D2024-142

  • Needs a resident dog to learn from
  • Fine with cats
  • Older dog savvy children

Herbert is a 5 year old poodle mix who is taking his time to work out the new world he has found himself in. He currently likes his own space but is taking it all in from a distance. He likes to surprise you by suddenly appearing wanting to know what you are up to.

With the resident dog it is a very different story. He is very playful with the other dogs in the garden but won’t play inside or if anyone is looking. He hasn’t had this chance before and is scared it will be ripped away from him or worse he will be told off.

He’s perfect with dogs and has never shown any aggression other than playful growls. He is also in foster with 2 cats and has paid no interest in them.

Herbert can live with dog savvy children 12 and over. Who will put no pressure on him and give him time to decompress and learn who it is to be a much loved pet.

He is currently fearful of men and his new family need to understand that this will improve in his own time and any new men in his life are going to be the last to be loved but when he does trust, he will with his whole heart.

He doesn’t currently play with toys but will chase the other dogs who have toys, so were sure he will catch on soon.

Harness and lead walking is a work in progress. Currently he will become flat to the ground and will either try and run or stay very still when presented with his harness and lead.

He sleeps in the dining room on a big comfortable cushion with lots of blankets (this is where he spends most of his time and this is his safe space). He is gated in there at night but other than that he has full access to downstairs and garden. He is 90% house trained and were sure once he’s settled he will be fine.

Treats and good food are all new to Herbert and he is taking treats from your hand and then running off with them not quite believing that it is all for him. He currently eats alone as he is easily bullied by others and the resident porky spaniel will eat all the food.

Herbert needs a very patient family with a resident dog who understands that he needs some time to settle and trust. He is getting more confident daily and is now ready for the next step in his journey to being loved and adored.

Monty D2024-114
• Can be an only dog with doggy friends
• No cats
• Older dog savvy children
Monty is a 1 year old Turkish Mixed breed who loves everyone, she is a very gentle girl who loves fuss and praise. She loves her walks and saying hello to everyone she meets. She has been bullied by other dogs in the past but has been working hard and now meets other well behaved dogs lovely. Whilst she adjusts to her new home and bonds with her pawrents she needs then to choose her friends so she stays safe.
Veterinary history to be discussed
Monty loves to play. She can be cheeky and thinks she can get away with chewing things as she is still a pup, but she is very intelligent and if told no and given a toy as an alternative, she will chew that instead and looks very pleased with herself. If they are not dog proof she likes to deconstruct them to see how well they were made.
Monty does not like cats so is not to be rehomed with any.
Monty is a medium size dog, a bit bigger than a border collie and very playful; she loves playing with toys and running around at top speed so older children who can move out of her way would be better. She is still a bit of a pup and everything is new to her so she can get excitable but listens when told to calm down.
Monty enjoys her walks and now trots around her village with confidence saying hello to all the people she meets when out She’s become a bit a local star and is happy to met and greet with foster mums say so. In her new home she will initially need to be walked with a harness and lead but as she bonds and gets used to her new surroundings this can change. She responds well to praise and encouragement and her lead walk training has come on great. She always looks so pleased with herself when she is praised for being brave. She stays close to her human on lead and has only been off lead in a secure field where she also stayed close.
Monty sleeps downstairs with the other dogs on a comfy dog bed. She has not yet mastered getting onto a sofa. She sleeps quietly all night.
She is completely house trained and has always gone into the garden to toilet.
Monty loves her food and eats nicely taking treats gently.
Monty would love a fairly active home where she has access to a large garden and people around most the time who will be patient and supportive teaching her how to enjoy walks and adventures. Monty loves being in the garden most of the day, she likes to lie on the grass and watch the sky and birds. She loves being outdoors but also loves coming in to curl up by her humans.
