NEEDS A CALM RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN

NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED

PATIENT LOVING OWNERS

Candy is a 6 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as a darling little dog that has become her foster mums shadow. She has started to trust and will now lay against her foster mum’s leg and put her head on her knee. She will then inch by inch gradually proceeded till she is on foster mum’s lap completely. Foster mums heart melted when she first did this as Candy didn’t have the best start to life being an ex-breeding dog and has never had a human show her any love.

Candy’s medical history will be discussed with potential adopters

Candy is still getting used to living in a home and can be very skittish and will jump at sudden movements. Toilet training is a work in progress but she is doing very well. She likes to sleep on the sofa downstairs and has started to find her bark on the mornings when she hears foster mum moving around upstairs. She likes treats of chicken and meat and is very gentle when taking from your hand.

Candy is initially nervous around new people she meets but if allowed space and time she is fine once she gets used to them. She’s not yet interested in toys.

Candy would be better with older dog savvy children as boisterous, noisy children scare her and she takes herself off to hide. She is not cat or small furry tested

Candy likes nothing better than a good nap on the sofa or on your lap where she will snore rather loudly. Hence the nickname Snora Batty. She will make someone a delightful companion who can give her lots of love and attention.

Candy has not yet been out on a lead as she is not fully vaccinated but has been going out in a dog buggy to get used to the noises of the outside world. Owners will need to be patient when showing her how to be a dog on a lead. She’s done a little training in the garden and this is progressing well

Candy needs a home with another resident dog of a similar size who will help her adjust to life on the outside. She could live with older dog savyy children. She will need patient and caring owners who will help her become the dog she was always meant to be.
