Charlie

Calm but confident resident dog

Owners home most of the time

Children 12 and over

Charlie is an 8 year old Bichon cross Chi with no known health issues. He is a little grumbly when unsure (who isn’t) but with gentle and consistent reassurance he soon realised he didn’t need to be so vocal and settles easily. He enjoys routine and this has helped him feel more secure and settled.

Charlie eats two small meals a day and really enjoys his food. He’s also a little partial to treats. He has not been cat or small furry tested. Charlie is great about the house and is mostly clean and only marks on an odd occasion. He knows to indicate when he needs to go outside.

Charlie can be protective of his humans and can be cautious when others humans enter the house, however after a period of adjustment he allows some to pet him easily. He is more comfortable with men but once trust is gained he’s fine with the ladies too!. His forever family need to be aware of this and continue to work on it in his forever home. He needs to be carefully introduced to children.

Charlie sleeps upstairs with his Foster humans and is quietly enjoying this!. Initially around the house Charlie was territorial and voiced his displeasure it is therefore important that he doesn’t get ‘stuck in a rut’ and his routine is altered slightly from time to time.

Charlie has been a little overwhelmed by his foster mums’ boisterous trio of terriers however he’s beginning to feel much more relaxed around them. He has taken a while to understand how being part of a pack works but is showing signs of relaxing taking his queues from the main dog in the home. Charlie is not destructive and so far, hasn’t shown inclination towards playing with toys. He is starting to play with his fellow pooches! Hand play is not recommended for Charlie as he confuses this for the need to protect his patch!

Charlie looks forward to his walks and is quite confident on the lead but needs further training to help him become the dog he was always meant to be. He can be quite erratic and needs to be walked on a harness as he pulls. He’s following the main dog in his foster home and learning to walk more steadily on the lead.

Charlie needs a calm home with experienced and firm humans who are at home most of the time. He would benefit from a confident but calm resident dog to help him learn the ropes. This will reassure Charlie that’s its OK to share his home and human. Although he is tiny, he loves to run on grass so a garden is essential. Around the house Charlie is fairly quiet although he does like to shout at the postie! Charlie also loves a lap to cuddle up on! Charlie has a look which will melt the heart of everyone he meets – and just the cutest sneeze ever!!!

Charlie is neutered and has had first vaccinations

Microchipped and up to date flea and wormer

Charlie comes with 5 weeks free Agria pet insurance.

Polo

Poodle x bichon

Needs a resident dog

Children 10 and over

No small furries

Fostered in South Wales

Owners home a lot of the time

Polo is a lovely 9 year old Poodle X Bichon. He has a gentle nature, loves cuddles, and playing with toys and other dogs. He walks really well when out on the lea and at home he likes nothing better than to follow you around, taking in all that you do. He loves being brushed and allows you to trim around his eyes when they get mucky.

Polo has a tiny skin tag on the side of his nose which the vet has seen and advised that no treatment is needed. Polo is on grain free kibble that he likes to graze on throughout the day. He does not like wet food that he was on didn’t suit his tummy.

Polo currently sleeps on the bed and is fully house trained. He is a loving little boy and likes people very much but would prefer to live with children over 10. Polo is very comfortable with other dogs in the home and out walking and he needs another dog in the home for company.

Polo does not like cats or small furries.

Polo is house trained and lets you know he needs to go out by crying at the door. During the day he likes to sleep on dog beds, the sofas or your lap. At night he likes to snuggles up on his foster mums bed. Polo uses a soft crate in the car when travelling. He loves toys and isn’t at all aggressive. Polo can be left for short periods of time with another dog.

Polo needs to live with another resident dog and would like a family who is around for most of the day. He is very much a people dog and enjoys company. He is a gentle funny little boy who loves to play, go walkies and cuddle on the sofa.

Poppy

Approx 1 year old

Would love to live with another cat

Not dog tested

Hello everyone my name is Poppy I’m about 18mnths old and very sassy. Last week I was taken to see a scary person by my foster dad. I had a long snooze and woke up with fur missing on my side and string to play with and they gave me a chip to but I couldn’t eat. It I’ve been told to tell you all that I’m very naughty and very clever but I only like cuddles when it suits me. I love to get other cats in trouble and like to play and climb loads. I would like a forever home with another cat so we can play. When I’m not playing or snoozing I like to eat wet and dry food together and absolutely love treats. I’m okay with small people as long as they will leave me alone when I have had enough of being adored.

BOB

3 Years old

Can live with other cats

Not dog tested

Good with sensible children

Bob is approximately 3 years old and is a very loving boy who just can’t get enough fusses. Bob loves company and curling up next to his humans, where he can get plenty of strokes and head bumps. As he’s still young, Bob loves to play and have a run around, doing a bit of purr-kour. He enjoys exploring new places and will be fine to go outside once settled in his forever home. Bob loves his food and will sing his new humans plenty of songs whenever he sees them. This boy is all muscle but an absolute softy at heart (and his fur is just as soft). He will be happy with other cats when properly introduced. He is untested with dogs. Bob is also good with children.

We love every single bunny that comes into us, but every so often one comes along that seems extra special…. Llew is one of those bunnies.

Llew came in via a RSPCA rescue. He had been living with his four brothers – none of them neutered or vaccinated. He was in very poor state when he first came in – definitely in the worse condition of the group, outwardly at least with bites and scars all over him. Unsurprisingly he was extremely timid and nervous. He also had a severe case of EC and needed treatment for this. We were scared he wouldn’t make it through with the health issues he had, but this brave determined little chap made a miraculous recovery and is now fully fit and healthy.

Despite all he has been through and the miserable life he had before, he has surprised us all by trusting humans again, even enjoying attention… particularly if there’s treats on offer! He is enjoying life and ready to find a bunny friend and perfect forever home.

He is a little nervous of other rabbits and this manifests as him wanting to be dominant. Foster Mum has muttered about small man syndrome but we couldn’t possibly comment!! Because of this, we think the best match for him would be an easy-going (dare we say slightly timid) female who would be happy to put up with his assertive ways.

Coming in from a rescue situation, we can’t be sure of his exact age but as a rough guess we put him around 5 or 6. He is neutered and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Everyone who meets Llew falls in love with him! He has been through so much but is a real little warrior and such a lovely, friendly boy. We are determined to find him the perfect lady-bun friend in the forever home he deserves.

Scrumptious as a pumpkin pie! She is a beautiful, friendly cat who has captured our hearts. She loves to play with a feather or ball on a string, or chase a laser pen (her attempts to do this will keep you entertained). She is companionable and likes to sit near you on the sofa. Once she trusts you, she will let you make a fuss of her and start up her purring motor. If she feels threatened, she might give you a swipe, so needs older kids who understand this. Needs a resident dog

Children 7 and over who will understand about a nervous dog

Owners home most of the time but also loves walks.

Bluebelle is only a baby at 20 months old but is such a character. She can be shy and scared initially but has settled into her foster home really well and is gaining in confidence every day. She does not like loud noises or sudden movements (do any of us?). She loves children and currently lives in a home with older dog savvy children who like to cuddle and play with her and she is fine with that. There have been no issues with the children – who are known to be enthusiastic – in fact she loves the attention!

Bluebelle can be a little territorial, if she is on the sofa first and her foster brother or sister try to jump up, she tries to tell them off. However, if she is placed down on the floor and told to wait until the dogs of the house have taken their spot, she is fine and settles quickly. She is getting to know her boundaries.

Bluebelle is very affectionate and attentive and will follow you around the house and snuggle up on the sofa with you.
She is amazing on walks and despite being little loves being out and about. She is currently walked with a harness and lead to keep her safe and there are no issues with this. She is nervous when passing other dogs she does not know on a walk and can have a little bark, but walks lovely with her foster brother and sister.

She is happy being touched, carried, cuddled, walked and groomed.

She has not been cat tested

Bluebelle could do with some work re housetraining, she has access to the garden at all times (open back door) but can have an accident in the evening. She was sick in the car when travelling for walks or the vet but was fine at the he vets and perfect on a walk.

Bluebelle would thrive in a home that has the time to work on her confidence and training. Ideally it would be with humans who are at home for most of the time and definitely ones who enjoy cuddles and attention. They must also like to spend time outside as she does love a walk and, maybe, as her confidence grows she could be convinced to run around and play She needs a canine companion in her home to help with her confidence. Bluebelle would not do well in a home where she is left alone.

Staffy x American Bulldog

Active and experienced bull breed family

Someone at home all day

Children 10 and over

Nirvana is a 3 year old energetic athletic dog who would love to be someone’s adventure companion. She loves being out on walks exploring but also loves stretching out on the sofa and being with her humans. Nirvana was part hand-reared as a puppy so is very attached to people and underneath her muscley active exterior she is a sensitive sweet dog that just loves human company.

Nirvana can initially be wary of strangers, but once she knows you she is the most loyal friendly dog, who loves being with you and is very affectionate. She is a strong and powerful dog with high energy so although she would be friendly with children she would be too boisterous to live with young children. Older children with an awareness of the bull breeds clumsy nature would be best.

Nirvana lives with a mixture of breeds and sizes and is absolutely fine with them all in the house. In the home she would need an older calmer dog to encourage her not to get over excited. A young dog would just encourage over excitement. Nirvana could live as an only dog if there were humans around all the time, or she would live with another medium to large sized dog happily. Due to her size and boisterous play Nirvana would not suit living with a toy or delicate breed.

Nirvana lives with a cat and is absolutely fine but is very food orientated so will steal cat food if not kept separate.

Nirvana is housetrained and if her humans are around she is very quiet in the home, she will sleep happily on the sofa after a walk and is a very easy dog. She does not go in a crate and will get quite stressed if made to. She is very playful with toys and is happy to let people take them from her with no issue.

Nirvana is very food orientated which is great for training but owners will need to be aware that she will counter surf if food is left out. Nirvana does suffer from separation anxiety so needs humans that are around all day to reassure her and prevent her becoming destructive when left. Nirvana has been destructive previously but this has only been when she panics about being on her own so with a family around all day she will settle into a routine and once confident she can be left for 1-2hrs. Her current foster home has improved this a lot but it is still something that new owners will need to be aware of and be prepared to work with her as she settles into a new home.

Nirvana loves walks and adventuring outdoors. She is a very fit and active dog and can pull initially when excited to get out but will settle when walking. She is good off lead but can be over excited when running so needs an experienced bull breed home to manage this appropriately

Nirvana is an active dog who loves to be with people so would suit an active household that will include her in daily life. She can be wary initially so she needs a home willing to work with her on building her trust with them, and a home that will give her time to settle into a new routine. Nirvana is a powerful active dog with typical clumsy bull breeds tendencies so needs a forever family that have experience of having an energetic and playful dog in the home. Nirvana does suffer with separation issues so initially she will need a family willing to allow her to sleep upstairs and a family where someone is home the majority of the day. Nirvana is a dog who would walk miles in a day so needs a family who can keep up with her, but also manage her energy levels on walks so she doesn’t become over excited as due to her breed mix and being a young powerful dog she can be a handful if she is not managed appropriately. Nirvana is a loving, fun dog who will make the most amazing companion for someone and has a lovely mix of being an active adventure dog but also a big sofa snuggle monster too

Only dog in the home

Owner home most of the time

Children 10 years and older who understands nervous dogs

No Cats

Tinsel is a 9 year old typically nervous, skitty chihuahua who will snap (not bite) if she feels threatened. She needs to know that she’s safe and to get to know you before she relaxes. Once you have gained her trust she’s like a different dog and practically jumps into your arms for some loving! She likes nothing better than curling up on your lap like a cat where she will stay until you have to move her. If she’s not on your lap then she likes to be next to you, touching you or walking around in your arms! She does go into her bed independently at times but much prefers company.

She would happily stay on your lap all day but also loves her walks and is currently enjoying 2 short daily walks.
Now she’s comfortable in her foster home her little personality is starting to come out and she will have zoomies when excited which is so lovely to see. Tinsel has been a delight to foster and will make someone a lovely, low maintenance lap dog!

She’s had 12 teeth out but is eating well and there doesn’t seem to be any problems.

Now Tinsel has settled and feels safe, she has welcomed the few visitors to the house and encourages them to fuss her. She absolutely adores being petted and is a typical lapdog. She seems to feel threatened by males and has barked at them.

She hasn’t been around many children due to Covid but sensible older children 10+ she has loved. She’s got a lovely relationship with my daughter who is 12.

Tinsel needs to be an only dog. She is reactive towards other dogs on walks if they are in close contact and if we’ve had a visitor call to the door with a dog. However, she usually ignores dogs on the other side of the road or who are further away in the field.

She has reacted to next door’s cat when they have sat on the windowsill outside.

Tinsel is a dream at night. She sleeps on her own in the kitchen in her bed all night without any fuss and greets you excitedly in the mornings. She has been clean. Tinsel is toilet trained and will go outside to toilet and will ask by standing by the door if you are in the room. However there have been a couple of occasions when she’s had an accident when I’ve been out of the room.

She’s not destructive at all and shows little or no interest in toys apart from one little ducky that she rags if she gets excited!
It took a bit of trial and error to get her on the right food for her tummy but she enjoys her food and even when she had her teeth out she wolfed down her kibble that had been soaked. She has a penchant for chicken breast too! I can take her bowl from her and she doesn’t fuss.

Luckily for her due to Covid she hasn’t been left for more that 1-2 hours at a time and has been ok. She’s also fine if I left to go upstairs without her for a while. But she does love company and would be best suited to someone who was home a lot of the time.

Tinsel travels really well in the car and walks beautifully on the lead. As stated before she can be reactive to dogs who she thinks are too close. She’s been fine at the vets, behaving perfectly well for some but snapping at others!

I believe Tinsel would be better in a calm, quieter house as she’s noise reactive and jumps at the slightest noise. No children or an older child who has gained her trust by letting her come to them. She is really low maintenance but enjoys her walks so would suit someone who likes to be out and about but doesn’t need to go far. She is really good company and loves to curl up on your lap so would love someone who is home for much of the time.

Flopsy is around 6-7 years old and is a very affectionate and happy girl, However she can be a little timid to start. She loves being fussed and will whine and lick your hand if you stop fussing her. She’s learning to walk on a lead and is clean in the house about 90% of the time. She hasn’t met many people in the home but those she has, she was fairly confident with. She’s been to the groomer who said she was no trouble at all.

Flopsy is happy with other dogs in and out of the home. She will need at least one other dog in her new home to continue her eduation and give her confidence. She has not been tested with cats or any other small furries.

Flopsy sleeps in her foster mums’ bedroom but in her own bed. She is not destructive at all. She is okay being left with the other dogs and gets very excited and barks when ever her foster mum gets home. She is mostly toilet trained but has taken a few steps back when we had snow. When she is downstairs she prefers a cushion on one of the sofas.

Flopsy is good on walks although still unsure and a little nervous so takes her queues from the other resident dog. She behaved perfectly at the vets.

Flopsy will need a quieter home with at least one other dog and ideally someone at home a lot of the day. Flopsy also needs a child free home. Shes okay if children visit but they need to understand that Flopsy needs time and space to get used to them and will be scared if the child is boisterous.

Tizzy

Children 10 and over

Only pet in the house

French Bulldog experienced home essential

Tizzy is a 5 yr. old French Bulldog. She is a delightful, playful, affectionate dog who loves all people, children included.

She has no known health issues other than licking of all four paws. This has been vet checked and seems to be a comfort habit.

Tizzy has been fine with children but we recommend children 10 and over. Soft toys will not live long if left unattended as she likes to steal and dissect them. Not tested with cats at home but reacts strongly to cats encountered on walks. I would not advise homing with any other animal.

Tizzy would be better as an only dog as she can be reactive to the other dogs that she meets outside on a lead. This is better since coming into foster so positive reinforcement and continued support with ongoing socialisation from her forever family will help her with this issue. She is very protective of her owner but can be trained with ongoing socialisation.

Tizzy is house trained but needs regular walks/visits to the garden or there may be an accident. Tizzy sleeps in the kitchen/hall but is ready to get up any time after 7 especially if she needs to go out. She has been left for short periods and the only thing ‘attacked’ was the cat flap which was in bits. She obviously could see outside and wanted out. Toys need to be pretty indestructible too although she does look after her favourites. Soft toys last seconds but she does not worry or destroy anything else. She is not aggressive with food or toys being taken from her. She is not food orientated at all although she does react to rustling packets but only in a watchful way. Her favourite toy/ball is her reward. She is fed grain free twice a day.

Tizzy is great on the lead until encountering another dog. She loves the car and prefers a harness/seat belt to the travelling crate. She is absolutely fine at the vets.

Tizzy would be best as an only dog with a family who are experienced with French Bulldogs and their traits.

Babs

ONLY RESIDENT DOG IN THE HOME

Children 10 and over

Babs the Bulldog is 3 years old and a very loving girl who loves cuddles and attention. She walks very well on lead and will stay within a couple of feet when walking. She loves to stick her tongue out all day and lick whatever is close to her before settling down for long naps. She loves to always be close to you and will follow you around the house like a shadow. She is fine with people and will come over for fusses from everyone. She is getting used to being brushed but isn’t a huge fan of it at present but is very happy with cuddles and gentle stokes. Babs has been fine around children in the foster home and I’d say she would be fine with anyone over 10 years old

Babs will need to be the only dog in home as she doesn’t like to share however can socialise outside with other dogs. She will also not tolerate a cat in the home.

Babs is sleeping in a cage overnight which has been working well. She is house trained but doesn’t have a signal to go other than pacing around a little so her foster family have been taking her out every few hours. She plays with a bone and also a ball but hasn’t shown much interest in toys. She eats well and enjoys food. She hasn’t shown any destructive tendencies at all and has been well behaved in general

She can be a little tentative when visiting the vets but is ok. She behaves very well on walks with no issues at all and she also travels well more often than not settling down for nap when on a journey. Babs needs a home that can give her lots of love and attention and that doesn’t spend to much time without her. She is a very loving dog that enjoys the same amount of love returned.

A lover not a fighter! Nico is a gentle soul who despite her size is a little unsure about things until she’s worked out they are not going to eat her. She’s a fluffy and affectionate young cat who will greet you with cuddles in the morning and will curl up with you at night. She likes to follow you around the house to see what’s going on. She may have a (mild) desire for physical activity once a day, but this passes and she is quickly back to her laid-back self. She has learnt to play with toys rather than hands and enjoys catching things for a few minutes. She would be good with older children (gets on well with my cat-savvy 8yo) but would probably learn to get away from energetic younger kids. She’s a sweetie who will appreciate a quiet-ish house. Calm resident dog

Owners around for most of the time

Cooper is a very sweet 5 year old chihuahua who is a little nervous at present but his foster family are trying to help him settle and he is relaxing more each day. He has been a little anxious around his foster brothers and sisters as he is learning to find his place in this very new world that he has found himself in. He loves his walks and is good on a harness which is lucky as he needs to lose a little weight. He is learning how to play and loves a lap to snuggle on.

Cooper is learning to trust humans and enjoys being stroked but can be a little sensitive about his tail being touched. He will benefit from having a calm older dog in the home who can show him the ropes and help him to relax. He is currently quite opinionated and likes the sound of his own voice which is a work in progress.

Cooper is happy around the home and has previously been used to sleeping in a crate but would much prefer to snuggle up to his humans and foster fur family on the bed. He loves to snuggle in to a human! Cooper enjoys his food and has shown no food aggression. He hasn’t shown any interest in playing with toys in his foster home. He has been left for short periods of time with the other dogs and has shown no anxiety.

Cooper travels well in the car and shows no issue at the vets.

Cooper would benefit from having an older family or individual/couple who are around most of the time. He needs an older calm dog to help him understand ‘how to be a dog’. We feel Cooper will benefit from his new human being chihuahua experienced.

Quiet Home

Resident dog of large breed

Partially sighted as a result of being run over as a pup

Diaz is a lovely friendly 3 year old mixed breed dog who loves a bit fuss but is also quite happy laid on a blanket in front of the fire and having a sleep. He is placid and relaxed and really enjoys going out on walks. He can be a little nervous when walking on main roads so would prefer somewhere quieter when going out. He is good with other dogs and is no problem walking on the lead.

Diaz does have eyesight problems and would suit a house with open space so he wouldn’t bump into anything, although this could be a problem this doesn’t stop him from exploring and having a good sniff.

He loves a good fuss and will bring his head to you for attention. He enjoys a good brush which is lucky as he does shed so he needs to be brushed often to get rid of the fur.

As Diaz has eyesight problems he would be best suited to a household with no children. He needs someone who can give him the attention he needs but also be patient to give him the time he deserves. Sudden movements or loud noises can startle him so a quieter household would be ideal.

Diaz is great with other dogs both in the house and out on walks, his interactions have shown he doesn’t mind meeting new friends and gets quite excited when bumping into another dog on a walk.

Diaz would be better suited in a house with only dogs, no cats or other small animals. He doesn’t enjoy travelling in a car however he is really good when in the vets and doesn’t hesitate or pull away when he goes there.

Diaz is a great dog in and outside of the house, he enjoys a good run around the garden but loves nothing more than having a lie down in the living room. He is housetrained but there can be the odd accident. He isn’t too fussed on toys but does enjoy a good chew or a nice bone to get stuck into. Considering the size of this boy he doesn’t eat too much food however he can be cheeky and does like to have a few scraps or whatever you may be cooking for yourself too! Diaz can be left for a couple of hours at a time but does enjoy having company so leaving him for long periods of time wouldn’t be ideal. Diaz would like his humans to be home most of the time for head scratches and attention.

Diaz is very loving and a great boy who would like a home where he can have lots of attention with his humans around for most of the day. He needs a house that is quite open as due to his eyesight he can bump into things. Despite this it doesn’t stop his zest for life and his love of walks and adventure. Diaz can be homed with a resident large breed dog.

Very affectionate

Only Cat

2-4 years old

Hello, my name is Squeak. I was a stray, for a number of months, but was very lucky to find a couple that fed me, and gave me shelter in their garage. I had nice food, a litter tray, and a lovely warm bed with a heated pad. One day they took me to the vet, for a check up and neutering. They discovered that I was not microchipped, so went ahead with the neutering. This is the part of my story where you read just how unique I am. They thought I was a girl – boy, were they wrong! I had no ‘lady bits’ at all!. The vet scanned me and found two rather shrivelled testicle, which were removed. The vet also discovered that I have no penis! See, told you I was unique. Despite this, I am very clean when using my litter tray. I can urinate very well thank you. The only problem I have is that I can’t quite manage a proper ‘meow’. I sort of squeak and ‘eck, hence my name. My Foster mum tells me that I am handsome, loving, very special, and a delight to take care of. I would need to be an only cat as I don’t get on with my step brother and sisters. I have not been tested with children, or dogs. I love nothing more than to curl up on a nice warm lap. I enjoy my food (particularly chicken). I adore being fussed on my head– it makes me purr like a tractor, and I willingly accept kisses and cuddles. My Foster mum says that I deserve a special home, where I get all the attention, because I’m such a good boy, and I have oodles of love to give. Lots of purrs from Squeak.

Oh boy, have we got a special one here!

Tegan was being given away free on Facebook as “the cat was attacking him and the dog kept throwing him up in the air”! He was 6 months old…. can you even imagine just how scared he’d must have been, all the time?

When he first came into us in August, he was so timid, scared of the world. However, just over three months later, surrounded by love and his fabulous foster family taking the tiniest of steps with him, he has blossomed into one of the cheekiest little bunnies we know and is ready to find his forever home.

Tegan is getting more confident by the day. He loves head strokes and will come over to demand them as and when he feels the need. He is always on the go and loves to run and binky. Now his character is really shining through we need to warn you that he loves digging and is very agile…. so is turning into a proper little escape artist! He is very busy and will need a lot of space – he’s happiest outside which is lucky as he can be rather destructive and a chewer if he hasn’t got enough to keep him amused and occupied. We’re not sure Tegan and indoor skirting boards are a match made in heaven!

He is more than happy to settle down near you, especially if there are treats on offer – he’s a big fan of treats and loves his treat ball and foraging in his hay. Tegan’s turning into an inquisitive young man, running over to you on the off chance of a treat and more than happy to wander into the kitchen to see what’s happening and if there’s some mischief he can get himself into.

What he needs now is a bunny friend – he is desperate for rabbit company and a BBF to snuggle up to and for mutual grooming – Foster Mum’s strokes just don’t cut it!

Tegan is neutered and up to date with his vaccinations – all this cheeky bundle of cuteness needs now is a wife bun and perfect forever home to put his horrible start in life firmly behind him. If you think you and your girl bunny might be able to keep up with him, then just click here:

Resident dog of a similar size

Sensible children over 7

Calm home with owner home most of the time

Fostered in South Wales

Tilley is a well balanced little westie girl that now has so much love for life that you can see it in her little face. She loves other dogs and has learned to play with the help of the resident dogs and is now comfortable in the home environment. This sweet girl has so much to give she enjoys contact and cuddles and is very well behaved when being groomed. Tilley has a gentle nature and enjoys walks, even though they are short at the present time, due to a cruciate repair, which she is recovering from with leaps and bounds. Tilley will let you know when she wants to get up on the sofa by coming to you and giving her paw. She enjoys a belly rub but her favourite thing is to place her head in your hand and press into you. Tilley will also do a little dance when you gently rub her back which is very cute.

Tilley has had 9 back teeth removed and needs to eat a mix of soft and hard food. Her ears need to be regularly cleaned due to a previous infection. This young lady has also had 2 back leg ligaments corrected which has made a massive difference to her in all ways. I am hoping when the second leg has fully recovered, she will be able to get up and down of the sofa on her own. She has no problem with stairs or steps.

Tilley now loves attention from people and enjoys the interaction. She has been in her foster home for quite a while due to the surgeries and recovery and has developed an amazing little personality.

Tilley has been around children with the youngest being 7 and was happy and comfortable.

Tilley will greet other dogs when out walking and interacts nicely. She is very social with all new dogs in new places but needs another dog for company and reassurance. Tilley hasn’t been tested with cats or smaller animals

Tilley has learned to like the comforts of home and now enjoys nothing more than to be cuddled up on a soft bed during the day or even better cuddled up on the sofa. During the night Tilley has slept in her foster mums’ bedroom where she likes to start off on the bed but when she gets too warm, she will get off and sleeps in a dog bed. Tilley isn’t crate trained due to not needing it and she can be left for short periods of time, no more than 3 hours. Tilley will bark for a minute or 2 when left but then settles down. Tilley now likes to play with toys and the other dogs and needs a resident dog to continue to show her the ropes. Due to being an ex-breeding girl she enjoys to eat her soft food in peace but is happy to share her dry food.

Tilley travels in a soft crate in the car and settles with no problems. Tilley is now 95% house trained with the odd accident.

Tilley would like a home with older children or someone that has lots of time to give and is around most of the day. She is a very social girl with so much love to give. She is very gentle and now very much enjoys life. If you are looking for a friend that keeps giving Tilley is the dog for you. Once settled her fun side is so cute to see her play is such a pleasure and when she makes eye contacts you and gives little butterfly kisses, she will melt your heart. She is unrecognisable from the scared little girl who arrived on foster a while ago now.

3 & 5 years old

Bonded pair must be homed together

No children

Quiet home with owners around most of the day

Can live with a resident dog or on their own

Meri and Beryl are a delightful bonded pair of ex breeding Cavalier girls who are very affectionate and loving, once they get to know you. They are not related and have different personalities but they like to be together cuddling on the sofa or outside in the garden. Meri is 5 years old and the quieter of the two. She prefers to snuggle up on the sofa next to her human and although she will walk on a lead is sometimes reluctant and will sit down if you stop for even a few seconds. Beryl is 3 years old and more outgoing and active. She loves to run around the garden trotting like a one trap pony, barking and chasing the squirrels away. She is however very affectionate and will put her paws on your shoulders when you’re sitting on the sofa and loves to be next to you. She will walk on a lead but will pull and try to chase if she sees anything moving in the woods. It is early days for both of them as until a month ago they had never been on a lead so they will need time and further training. At the moment two people are needed to walk them.

House training is going well but they do still have the odd accident in the house. They are being fostered with two smaller dogs and they get on fine but they do tend to gravitate to each other for comfort. They have met other dogs on walks and both are a little scared initially but will say hello to the smaller dogs.

They have not been cat tested. They have met their fosterers grandchildren on several occasions. Both are nervous of small children but Meri particular gets agitated by their sharp movements and still barks at them in fear when they move or play.

Both girls have bonded well with their foster parents. They adore their foster mum and suffer from separation anxiety if she leaves them. She has been working on this and they can now be left for short periods but it is still apparent from watching them on the house camera that they don’t settle completely until she returns. Because of the current restrictions they have not had the opportunity to meet many people but they have accepted the fosterers adult son when he has visited and even cuddled up on the chair with him.

They show no interest in playing however Beryl will pick up a toy every now and again and likes to chew. They both sleep well, Meri sleeps on the fosterers bed and Beryl sleeps in a crate beside the bed so she can see foster mum. Beryl will sleep on the bed too but she is more settled in the crate.

They are the most sweet and adorable little girls who are just getting used to the luxuries of living in a home and getting lots of love and attention and boy are they lapping it up! They are looking for a home with someone who has enough time on their hands to dedicate to them, so would need to be home most of the day. Cavalier experience especially with ex breeders would be an advantage. They could be rehomed as only dogs although they are fine with other dogs.

No children I’m afraid and if there are visiting grandchildren you would need to be aware of how anxious Meri in particular can be and not overwhelm her. They really are lovely little girls and the most amazing snuggle bunnies who just need someone to share their time, their sofa and most importantly their hearts with them.

Cheeto and Wotsit are a pair of 5 month old very bonded brothers.

They are typical cheeky, naughty playful kittens. Cheeto is the more forward of the brothers and Wotsit is a little bit more wary but his confidence is growing.

Their ideal home would be older children who are old enough to play with them which they both love but also old enough to understand they do not like to be picked up but like to come to you on their terms.

They get on well with resident younger cats because they are also playful but can get on an older cat’s nerves. They would either need to be the only cats or live with young cats who also enjoy running around and playing.

The kittens are not dog tested.

5 Month sold

Can live with other younger cats but will annoy older cats with their antics.

Microchipped and up to date flea and wormer

The kittens have had their first vaccinations and will come with a neutering voucher

They will also come with 5 weeks free insurance

Jack Russell

11 years old

Assisted Adoption

Children 10 and over

Only Dog

Cassie is a truly sweet little dog who is exceptionally easy to look after. She loves snuggling on the sofa with you and will quietly follow you around the house. She’s wonderful with children and loves a fuss. She looks forward to her walks and loves to go adventuring through the bushes. She is such a good girl to take to coffee shops as she sits quietly whilst you eat. She has a quiet nature but comes to her owner once she’s got to know you. She is fine to leave at home alone and has not chewed or made a mess and she always welcomes you home with her wagging tail. She is great with other dogs when she is off the lead but can become worried if dogs approach her when she’s on the lead.

Cassie has cushings and will need daily medication in tablet form. She takes her tablets well.

Cassie can be wary of new people preferring to be cuddled by her family but does warms up to new people quickly. She is very friendly and prefers human contact to being on her own.

Cassie is great with children and very gentle towards small children.

Cassie is happy meeting new dogs when she is off the lead however if a group of large dogs surround her she will understandably become worried. She can be worried if a loose dog approaches her when she is on the lead. However she is social and friendly towards other dogs.

At night Cassie sleeps alone downstairs in her basket in the kitchen. She is very good at understanding her bedtime routine. She will stay in the kitchen during the day if she is left alone and has not made a mess. Cassie is housetrained and will do her best not to mess in the house however because of her cushings she needs access to water as she drinks a lot and what goes in must come out so regular trips to the garden are needed. Cassie can be left for the majority of the day alone and will not cause any mess however, if she is left alone in the car she will bark. Cassie can be picky about eating her prescription food but will gradually eat it throughout the day. Cassie can be quick to steal human food if she can reach it.

Cassie is great to walk off the lead but isn’t aware of the dangers of the road and cars so must always be on the lead by roads. She enjoys exploring inside bushes and can get carried away with all the nice smells taking her time to come out which can sometimes be up to 20 minutes. (well no one likes to miss a good smell right). Cassie travels well but needs to be secured safely in the car as she gets excited and wants to sit on your lap. Cassie is great for the vet.

Cassie needs an active home who will take her for lots of walks or to the local coffee shop. She likes to be near the main carer in the home. Cassie needs someone who will give her a lot of fuss but also someone who will be sympathetic and understanding of her condition and the likelihood that she will have accidents occasionally.

Border Terrier 5-7 yrs old

Only Dog

No small furries

Older children

Quiet home

River is a very active 5-7 year old border terrier who loves to go walkies and hoooon around the garden. When she’s exhausted her energy she loves nothing more than to cuddle in front of a fire or on a nice warm lap. River once she bonds with you adores her human and likes to be close. She is not keen on sharing her human and would like to be the only pet in the household for this she will give you all her love and attention.

River loves to be out walking, exploring and sniffing but isn’t keen on overly friendly dogs who invade her sniffing space. She has met children but isn’t keen on noisy overly excited little people. She likes little humans who will read her a story, tell her about their day and then go for a nice walk before cuddling up and possibly sharing a chicken nugget or sausage for tea if that’s what the big humans are cooking.

As a typical hunter, even one of maturing age River is not good with small furries and cats.

In the house River loves nothing more than cuddling on the sofa and generally being close to her human. Her toilet training is ongoing and she is much better with those who can regularly put her out to toilet and give her lots of praise and a reward when she has done good. She finds ham or little sausages acceptable as a good effort reward. She can be a little stubborn like all dogs of her breed but being persistent and constant is the key with this little lady.

Neutered Female

No children

Quiet home

Resident castrated male dog of a similar size

Phyllis is a cute and sweet natured 3-5 year old little Yorkshire Terrier that will remind you of a little teddy bear especially when she’s curled up in her bed. She’s very gentle and loves her food and treats. She quickly learns where her treats are kept and tries to will you with her eyes for another one. She loves nothing more than to relax in a comfy bed or on a blanket. Although she will stay in a room on her own, she very often likes to lie down near you. She likes to follow you around and sometimes struts around in a playful manner. She enjoys being fussed and stroked, although nervous at first, she soon learns to trust quickly and will slowly build a bond with her owner on her terms. Once settled she’ll make a very loving little dog who has a gentle nature

Phyllis is slowly becoming more confident and will come to her foster mum on her own terms. She’s happy being smoothed and is able to be picked up once she trusts you. Until she gets used to you its best to not make sudden movements and let her come to you. She responds when you call her name and speak to her. Due to lockdown only one person has visited and she was very shy and hid but were confident she’ll get better once it’s possible to see more people and with the guidance of a calm resident dog. She’s not keen on being brushed and will run away when she sees it. However, she will let you groom her and clean her eyes if she is in her bed. As yet she won’t take a treat from your hand but she will take it off the floor by the side of her

Phyllis would probably prefer a quiet home with no children and her humans around most of the time. She hasn’t been out with any dogs as yet as she’s only just had her first vaccination. She hasn’t been tested with cats.

Phyllis is very curious and likes to nose around, when she’s not snooping, she’s a bit of a couch potato and likes to laze around in her bed or on a blanket on the sofa. Even though she’s still nervous I think she likes to be close to the person who looks after her.

House-training is a work in progress and she is happy to use a puppy pad. She finds the garden a bit scary but she’s getting there slowly. She currently sleeps in the living room in her bed or on a blanket on the sofa with access to her puppy pad if needed in the night. She got very stressed when she was put in the kitchen as I believe she felt too enclosed. She is good in the night and doesn’t bark or cry. A crate wouldn’t be a good idea for Phyllis as she doesn’t like being shut in.

She is not destructive and is a very gentle little dog. She is not interested in toys but she probably doesn’t know what they are. She’s definitely got a playful streak in her and will tap her foster mum with her paw wagging her tail when she wants attention. She also runs in a playful way if her name is called in a cheerful voice. Phyllis enjoys her food and eats well.

Due to lockdown and the weather Phyllis has not been left for any length of time but was fine for a short while.

Phyllis travels well in the car but like all dogs she can be nervous at the vets so lots of reassurance and treats are needed

Phyllis would like a quiet home where she can chill quietly in her bed a lot. She would like the company of a handsome male furry friend of a similar size who can teach her how to be a dog and that not all humans are horrible.

6 year old

No children

Only dog or live with an older dog who respects his space

Patient owners who will work at his pace

Fostered in South Wales

Dave will need you to visit him before adoption to see if he likes you. He also says bring Ham it may win him over

Dave is 6 years old and came into rescue after having a horrific start to life. Initially he would growl at everything and not tolerate any touch from human or dog. As he’s started to settle this has got less but he’s still a scared little boy who doesn’t know who to trust. He will sit and shiver if he thinks you may hurt him even if it’s just brushing another dog. Once he trusts you, he will let you gently stroke his head and he’s happy to take ham off you.

Dave isn’t comfortable with touch. He is getting better and will let you stroke him briefly but it is on his terms. He needs an owner who will follow his cues and not rush him. He is much more comfortable with touch when he’s out walking on a lead. He will need a groomer who is experienced with very nervous dogs

Dave needs a home with no children and the ability to shut him in a separate room should any visit.

Dave would love to be an only dog in the home. He could live with an older dog who respects his space. He. is not comfortable with dogs sitting next to him or trying to cuddle him

Dave could live with small furries as long as they respect his space

Dave is fully toilet trained. He sleeps quietly in a crate overnight but would be equally happy in a dog bed. He mustn’t be allowed to sleep on human beds in his new home as he could react if you roll over and accidentally nudge him. He loves his wet food and is partial to a piece of ham or two. Dave is fine to be left for short periods throughout the day

Dave enjoys his walks and walks well on the lead. He uses a slip lead and is now happy to allow me to put it over his head to get on and off. A few short walks a day would be ideal for him He would like a quiet home with not to many visitors. He needs patient owners who will allow him time to settle and not rush him. He’s had a horrible start to life and needs time to learn not all humans are bad.

Only dog

No Children

Family willing to work with his issues

Reactive and flat faced experience

Dennis is selective on who he likes and dislikes and any prospective owners will need to visit him a few times to see if you stand up to his high expectations in a forever human

Fostered in Crewe

Dennis is a 3 year old loveable French Bulldog who is menace by name and menace by nature! Dennis has a number of complex behaviour issues but had come on so much in his foster home. He loves treats and will do anything for a biscuit. He is a frenchie that underneath his tough guy image is a very misunderstood dog that has had a traumatic past. This has now led him to have stress coping strategies that need managing daily. Dennis can wave with his paw and loves nothing more than a nap on your lap

Dennis since coming into rescue has had BOAS surgery and both knees repaired so currently has no health issues. New owners should be flat faced experienced to accommodate for any future health issues that are common with his breed. Owners will need to research pet insurance quotes prior to application as typically flat faced breeds have higher premiums and any prospective owners need to be in a position to have pet insurance in place.

When Dennis knows you he is a very affectionate frenchie who can get stressed easily which presents itself as him being reactive to people. He is a very temperamental little man that has previously had it very difficult. New owners will need to give him time to settle and be prepared to distract him when he displays anxious behaviours and not encourage or ignore them. Dennis can be a very cuddly frenchie but also likes his own space and this should be respected as when he needs his own space he can react if he feels under pressure.

Due to his mischievous behaviours we would not home Dennis with any children.

Although Dennis lives with other dogs in his foster home he would prefer to be an only dog. He can be possessive over food and toys, and can easily get wound up when other dogs are playing so he would be best suited as an only dog but who socialises with dogs outside the home.

Dennis lives with a dog savvy cat with no issue currently

Dennis will go into a crate but is very anxious when the door is shut so we are currently working on desensitising him so he’s less reactive to the door. When anxious he will destuff dog beds so this will need managing in his new home. He loves toys and will play with them. He can be food and dog reactive so owners will need to be prepared to work with him on this and give him time to settle in. Dennis is fine being left

Dennis walks well on a harness and doesn’t pull. He can be a bit reactive to some dogs on leads, but this is currently managed and he is much improved compared to when he first came in. Dennis does not like travelling and can be very vocal when in the car. He also gets very anxious at the vets and should be handled carefully as he can be reactive.

Dennis is a loveable but temperamental little character, he deserves a home where people will work with him and give him time to settle in. He can be reactive so a family experienced in reactivity or flat faces is especially important. Dennis has obviously had a troubled past and is a dog so desperate to love, he just needs to learn he doesn’t have to react when he’s anxious or worried. Dennis would love a sofa to nap on, a human that will put in the work with him (and feed the occasional treat). Due to his knee surgery Dennis needs a home that will gradually build up his fitness levels and be aware of flat faced breathing problems.

She had her kittens and was a fantastic mum. Since her kittens have all been adopted she has turned into the playful, naughty, cheeky kitten she should be.

She is enjoying human company and has learnt to trust.

Crystal has not had the best start to life but she is a beautiful, clean little girl.

Crystals ideal home would be older children who could play with her and not be rough when handling her and possibly a playful resident cat because she loves to run around with her foster brothers and sisters.

Freya

Freya is an adorable 5-year-old little chihuahua with no known health issues. She can be quite nervous to begin with, but when she gets to know you, she’s a gorgeous little cuddle monster who loves nothing more than walkies and cuddles. She builds strong bonds with those she knows, so would need a quiet home with no young children and not too many visitors. Freya is fine with other dogs but not cat tested. She doesn’t like strangers and introductions must be made slowly or she can react aggressively when strangers try to stroke her. Freya does not like young children and prefers the company of calmer, quieter adults. Freya does however like all other dogs. She is untested with cats and small furries

Freya is completely housetrained and sleeps on her foster mums’ bed with her furry foster siblings. She enjoys her food but is not aggressive with it. She can be left alone for short periods of no more than a couple of hours. After that she becomes anxious.

Freya enjoys walks and travels well in the car. However, she does not like the vets as she doesn’t like to be touched by strangers and can react quite aggressively. She will rely on her forever family to calmly and positively support her at these anxious times.

Freya is a highly loving dog and builds strong bonds with those she trusts. It will take a few days for Freya to become accustomed to a new home, but once she does, she has all the love in heaven to give.

He loves treats and eating, Nigel likes to eat a lot of food!. As Nigel is going to be your best friend you need to know that he likes to sleep really close then in the morning he likes to cuddle right on top of your chest and purrs like a train till you gently wake up. He also likes to slide in between his foster mum and partner at night to cuddle them both. He loves being in a family. If you over stimulate him he will give you a swipe which can hurt as he’s so strong. Ginger

Resident calm dog

Sensible children over 10

Ginger is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel who was a puppy farm ex-breeding girl. She is a very loving little girl and a real princess that loves human attention. She would be happy to sit and cuddle with you all day long.

When ginger arrived at her foster home, she was very unsure of humans, and would back away if approached. Over time and with watching and learning from the other dogs in the house, ginger has realised that humans are good and she now follows her foster mum everywhere. One of her favourite things is to cuddled up next to her foster mum and will often be caught staring at her longingly.

Ginger is unsure around very young, loud or boisterous children and will run for cover. She has been with the 11 year old very dog savvy small human in the house.

Ginger copies a lot from the other dogs in her foster home and will snuggle up to them when there’s no human to snuggle up to, but once bonded with her forever person she will choose her human every time. She can sometimes get stroppy and growl if the other dogs try to get close to her human but a watchful eye and a firm” no” stops this behaviour instantly. Princess ginger is slowly learning to share.

She has not been tested around cats or small furries.

Ginger’s toilet training is a work in progress she will go outside in the garden but at times she forgets. She used a crate when she first arrived but prefers the sofa now that she knows what one is. She sleeps on her foster mums’ bed at night, all night with no accidents. If left downstairs she gets quite upset and makes a lot of noise. As ginger has not previously lived in a home environment anything lying around that she thinks is a toy such as socks, pens and her toys will be chewed. Ginger eats well and will try to steal the other dog’s food if not watched. She shows no aggression just pushes her way in, if she cannot be watched at feeding time she would be best separated as no one likes a fat princess. She is not happy to be left at first but soon settles and is fine being left for a few hours with her foster buddies.

Ginger hasn’t totally learnt to walk on a lead yet and be comfortable with the outside world so she will need her new home to have lots of patience to help her achieve this.

Ginger needs a home with at least one other resident dog to learn that walking outside is full of wonderful sniffs and nice things to roll in. She would like a dog that is going to be happy that she wants to be the centre of her humans world and not feel threatened by this as she learns to share. Given time, patience and encouragement Ginger will become the Princess that we all know is just waiting to burst out.

Poppy

Only Dog

No Children

Fostered in:Crewe

Poppy is a tiny chihuahua cross who is a waggy tailed meerkat when she knows you, she is
always happy to curl up on your lap and is a little shadow that follows you
everywhere. Poppy is an extremely nervous little dog when she firsts meets you
and so needs an understanding owner that will work with Poppy to develop trust
and the bond with her. Once she has made that bond, she is the happiest dog to
see you and wants to be wherever you are. Poppy loves dancing on her back legs
to get attention and is such a fun little dog when she trusts you.

Poppy is nervous of strangers initially and will bark when she’s unsure but once she
knows you she is happy being touched and groomed but needs an owner that isn’t
going to put pressure on her especially to start with. Poppy needs time to
trust new people and may always be wary of people she does not see often

Due to poppy’s nervous nature she cannot he homed with children and ideally wouldn’t have
visiting children to the home unless a separate area was made for poppy as she
had had bad experiences with children in the past and is very wary of them.

Poppy currently lives with a cat with no problems

Poppy is not destructive at all, she does suffer from separation stress which is improving
in her foster home now that she’s settled, but any prospective home needs to be
patient as this may come back when she moves to unfamiliar surroundings. Poppy currently
sleeps upstairs as she is very attached to whoever she trusts. Poppy does not
really play with toys but is a fun dog who will play with people and is very
food orientated so is quick to learn tricks and play food games. Poppy will
bark at unfamiliar noises this is due to her insecurities, but this is also
settling in her foster home as she gets used to everything.

Poppy walks well on a lead and loves going out travelling to and new places for good
walkies is always welcomed. Poppy is very nervous at the vets and will need
careful handling and positive encouragement.

Poppy needs a home that is experienced with nervous small breeds dogs, chihuahua experience
preferably but more important is a patient home that will work with poppy to
overcome her fears and realise that new people aren’t scary. She is the most
loving dog when she trusts you and behind her nervous behaviours, she is the
most wonderful companion. She needs someone that is going to make her the focus
in their lives and allow her to be their shadow until she is confident enough
to spend time in her own company.

Poppy is a very small dog but needs someone with a very big heart to work with her to see
the wonderful dog that her foster mum gets to see now and not be put off by her
initial reaction to people she doesn’t know. Poppy will make such a lovely
companion for an adult home and for people home most of the day.

Neutered
