Violet is a 2 year old Yorkie who has come into rescue through no fault of her own having recently lost her loving mum. She has clearly been adored but as her previous mum was poorly for quite a while, she has led a quiet, sheltered life with no rules. She has been living with other dogs but craves human attention. Her favourite spot is on your lap or around your neck licking you. When settled she also loves cuddling by your side on the sofa.

Due to Violet being treated as a princess she is a very young 2 year old who doesn’t play with toys or other dogs. Preferring to be as close to her human as possible which is lovely but she has missed out on all the good things that being a dog brings like adventures, barking at squirrels and doggy ice cream.

She is really starting to come out of her shell now in her foster home and has decided that she needs constant attention and can be quite pushy when the other dogs also want to settle down with foster mum to watch TV. This is being worked on as she has clearly had no ground rules before and she is responding well.

Despite being tiny she can jump on the sofa and climb the stairs. Although she lived with other dogs she doesn’t cuddle up to them and prefers to sleep in her own bed. She doesn’t currently play with toys but this may change in the future as her confidence grows and she realises she’s a dog and not a princess.

She gets a little upset being left alone and will scratch the door and whine till foster mum is back.

Violet walks beautifully on a lead and has no problem with the few people she has met. She can get a little nervous of noises but this is improving the more, she is out and about. She can be a bit barky when she first sees another dog when out but again, this is down to her leading a sheltered life. Once foster mum has decided she can speak to the dog she is calmer and will sniff. Her new pawrents are going to have to advocate for her and make sure she is kept safe and has positive interactions with people and dogs when out.

Violet is not cat or small furry tested but has such a lovely nature that with  sensible gentle introductions we think she will be fine.

Violet could be homed with older dog savvy children who won’t treat her as a toy and will help with setting some boundaries. We recommend children 7 and up.

She currently sleeps with the other dogs in the kitchen and sleeps all night in her own bed. She doesn’t bark. Toilet training is a work in progress and getting her into a routine has been key to helping her understand the rules of the home. This will need to continue in her forever home.

Violet is not a good eater and appears to have been given lots of human food in the past and not used up any energy to be hungry. Foster mum is still working on this but it is improving.

Violet is very young and  has missed out on so many adventures. She is going to need time to build her confidence and learn to dog, getting her out of her princess mindset. Don’t get us wrong we all love a princess but there has to be a good mix of dog in there as well. She would like a home where she can catch up on all that she has missed going to bed at night tired and excited for the next day. She can be homed with other dogs or can be an only dog if owner home most of the time.

Sam is an 18 month old Mini Labradoodle who says he doesn’t mind hoomans now. When I first arrived in my foster home I kept to myself but my foster family have been really patient with me. I kind of like them all now. I do bark when someone comes into the house but once I’ve checked them out, I am ok and settle down. My foster family refer to me as a goofball. I have really come out of my shell this week. I do like a cuddle so I am looking for a home who can give plenty of those.

There are times when I am a little noise sensitive and I do bark a little, my foster dad has noticed that it’s always in the evening, and it doesn’t last long.

When I’m on my walk I am not bothered by hoomans as most of them want to say hello because I am sooooo cute. I like to talk to the other dogs too. All my walks have been with a harness and on a lead and I am more than happy. Foster mum has tested my recall around the house and garden and I am a good listener but my new home will need to work on this outside of the home.

Cats I’ve not been tested but I did cross paths with a cat on one of my walks. My foster mum was thankful I was on a lead. So I don’t think I’d be good around cats they look too much fun to chase.

If you have children, I would prefer children who are a little older. I am ok around them it’s just that I am a little nervous with new people and I have been used to a quieter home (well at least I was before my foster home).

I sleep downstairs, my foster parents gave me a nice dog bed but I’m not sure about it and I slept on a blanket for a while, however my foster home has a comfy chair that I have grown to like and so that’s where they find me when they come down. I don’t like the stairs at all. I have been carried up but cling to the hoomans like a sloth does to a branch. If you want me to sleep on your bed, and I think I’d love that very much, you will have to build my confidence using the stairs.

I do all my business outside on my walk but I have had free reign of the garden. Though I do let you know if I need to go out if the door is shut.

I eat in a separate room from the resident dog but that’s more about them than me as they would eat my food as well as their own if they could.

I would like a slight quieter home than my foster home, they are lovely but oh my it’s busy with comings and goings. I would like a family where someone is home for part of the day at least. I can be left for a few hours but I like company. I would like my new family to be able to take me out as I do love to be out. I like to explore and sniff everything on my walks. I was an only dog but having had so much fun the last couple of weeks playing with the resident dog I would be ok with another dog.

Liquorice is a 7 year old Yorkie cross Jack Russel who has come into rescue through no fault of her own having recently lost her much loved mum. She is described by her foster mum as a dream foster. She is friendly and would love to be spoilt but as her mum was poorly for quite a while she has been left to her own devices and is now unsure of her place in the world. She just hangs back and takes herself off to a quiet corner watching.

Liquorice has lost her confidence and now needs to be the centre of someone’s world again. She will come up on the sofa and rest but if you get up she doesn’t stay there it’s as if she’s not quite sure where she belongs anymore. She is a little sad and lost at the moment.  

She loves going out for a little walk and her eyes light up sniffing for squirrels and cats but she has no sense of direction and goes wherever she likes so this needs to be worked on in her forever home. She is very friendly and likes saying hello to people but can be a little wary at first. She is going to need her new parents to advocate for her and just warn people she takes a minute to warm up and give her space.

Liquorice cannot be homed with cats as she does not like them. She could be homed with children but older children who will give her time to settle and will know when she needs to step back and just watch.

Currently Liquorice doesn’t play with toys. She sleeps in the kitchen in her own bed and sleeps quietly all night.

Liquorice is completely house trained and has been a very good girl in her foster home.

Liquorice can be homed with or without another dog as long as owners are home most of the time. She needs to know that you are there for her and she is your number one priority. She’s not even being needy its just that she’s sad. She needs to brush up on her lead work but otherwise she’s a lovely girl.

Taco is a 7 month old Old English Sheepdog described by his foster mum as a shy, nervous big baby. Where to start with this very gentle giant, Taco has not had the exposure to life a normal puppy should have had and as such is a very quiet worried boy. That said once he gets to know you, he loves following you around.

He likes to be around friends and is slowly gaining confidence from them so a multi dog household would also be perfect. He is mixing with dogs of all sizes and is very gentle with them all but would like a big palymate to follow. His true character is coming out when in the garden with the others. When they run for toys you can clearly see he wants to go too but any sound wind, trees, birds or traffic then he runs straight back to foster mum for reassurance.

Taco is not cat tested and would probably be terrified of them.

Taco is clean in the house as long as you accompany him to the garden. He’s too scared to go on his own and he needs you to hold his paw.

He likes to be around friends so a multi dog household would also be perfect. He is mixing with dogs of all sizes and is very gentle with them all.

Taco currently does not walk on a harness as he is too worried about the big wide world. He needs to bond with his fur family, practice in the garden and then he said he will attempt to go outside. This will come it will just take time and patience and will be so worth while to watch him flourish.  

Taco once he know you and feels safe loves attention. He especially loves being groomed and this is a brilliant way for him to bond with his new family. When you start grooming, he loves nothing more than offering up his belly for rubs.

Taco isn’t food orientated and is slow to learn what treats are but if he sees a natural yogurt pot then you can see a light go on in his eyes and he gets a little excited. The boy loooooooves his yogurt which is sooooo good for him.

He travels well in the car and although nervous at the vets the vet nurses love him and he has tried to be a brave boy.

Taco isn’t playing with toys yet but this will come.

Taco needs a home with at least one other big dog but will also thrive in a pack of dogs. He needs lots of time and love to blossom. The world for him at the moment is a scry place and he will need his new pawrents to advocate for him. It is going to take him time to adjust but he will get there and we can’t wait to see him thrive in the right home.

Flip flop is a 3 year old poodle described by her foster mum as practically perfect in every way. She is a darling girl who loves humans and would like to be the first one on your lap every time. She will often take herself off during the day in her dog bed and is quite happy snoozing away cuddled up to the other dogs or on her own. She is not destructive in any way and is a placid happy girl.

She loves humans and will greet you with a waggy tail a jump and a sniff as soon as you arrive. She likes to get as much attention as she can but can be unsure to start especially if there are loud younger children.

Not tested with cats or small furries.

Very young loud children can make flip flop feel a bit unsure so gentle children about 6 upwards is the perfect age to show her they mean no harm just want gentle cuddles.

Flip flop has not yet played with any toys she is not Interested when a ball is thrown and her foster mum has not seen her play with any of the other dogs but with the right dog we think she could learn that dog play is fun.

Flip flop is fine wearing a harness and lead and can become excited to think she’s going out but once outside she becomes unsure of the world and will freeze. This is going to be a work in progress but I don’t think it will take her long.

Flip flop will sleep soundly all night on her foster mums bed as she loves a cuddle but she will also sleep in her dog bed on the floor with the other dogs.

Flip flop is 100% housetrained.

Flip flop is currently eating wet food with a little dry mixed in as she is not fond of dry food and will try to eat around it. She is a typical picky poodle when accepting dog treats too. She eats fantastic around the other dogs but can warn them if they try to put their face in her bowl whist she’s trying to eat.

Flip flop would fit many homes as she’s such a laid back girl who loves humans but young enough to also explore the outside world making adventures. She wouldn’t want a home that she wasn’t able to go on sofas and human beds as she adores snuggling. She would love the company of another dog due to the fact she’s not always happy to be left on her own and will sometimes let you know with a lovely singing voice. She does have a typical poodle voice and if she hears a noise or dog outside, she likes to let them know she’s there.

Cookie is a confident 11 year old chihuahua described by his foster mum as a distinguished little man who knows his own mind. He loves a cuddle and likes to put his bum on any lap that sits down so he can snuggle in and go to sleep while he has a fuss. Being of a certain age and knowing his own mind he likes to do things in his own time and when he is ready. He will not be rushed or told to do something he doesn’t want to.

Vet history to be discussed

He is better with older dog savvy children or just visiting children who wont pressure him.

Cookie doesn’t take any notice of my cats

Being an older gentleman he’s not really paid much attention to toys. But is quite inquisitive, and loves to watch the resident dog playing.

Cookie needs short walks and plods along lovely on a lead. When out he isn’t fazed by anything but can sometimes be a little timid.

Cookie has slept in a crate but was not impressed and sang the song of his people until he was released. He’s happiest around his humans. So now he sneaks into foster mums sons bedroom at night, and hides under his duvet till morning. He’s a typical Chihuahua who loves his bed and doesn’t appreciate being told to move or get up in the mornings so best to leave him be till he’s ready to tackle the day.

Fully house trained

All dogs eat separately in the foster home and he eats very well. He is currently not interested in treats.

Cookie need an older retired couple or individual as he’s definitely happier with humans. He could also live with an older dog of similar age just for company .

Sprocket is an 7 month old big baby of an Old English Sheepdog. Currently he is a shy and scared little big boy who has already in his 7 months of life gone through a lot. He looks to the resident dogs and his foster dad for reassurance in his daily life. He is not going to bond straight away this is going to need to be built up in his own time. The right resident dog is going to play a BIG part in his happy forever after.

He has been good with people he knows in the home but will not choose to come to you until he can totally trust you. He has been enjoying playing with the other dogs and this has been helping him see that human interaction is good. He adores his resident dogs and follows them everywhere.

As a big scared puppy, he can be rehomed with older dog savvy children.

He pays no attention to the resident cat and acknowledges other dogs and gives a sniff but doesn’t interact

He is used to wearing a lead and will wear a harness but currently will not go for a walk outside of the garden. He is going to need to build his confidence in the home with his new family and fur siblings before venturing out into the big wide world. This is going to need to be done at his pace.

Sprocket currently sleeps where he wants be it on the settee, dog bed in kitchen or in humans bedroom but he doesn’t like being alone unless it’s in his safe place.

House training is a work in progress. He will toilet outside if you take him out and will pace around when he needs to go but he won’t come back in readily and it takes a while to get him in. Following the other dogs and being rewarded helps with this but there may be occasions where you need patience. When he is scared, he will toilet where he is. This is not his fault and will improve, he needs time and a loving family.

Sprocket doesn’t really eat treats but does like the occasional digestive biscuit. Sprocket needs a home with a young resident patient dog of a similar size who can show him the ropes. A family that has knowledge and experience of his breed and big dogs who can be patient and watch this big baby blossom into the puppy he should be. He is growing in confidence every day and makes his foster dad proud with how he’s changing but this is going to take time and patience.

Shrimp is a 5 year old Mini Dachshund and described by her foster mum as a little shadow. she follows her everywhere and will wait by the garden gate for her if she goes out. She enjoys being stroked and cuddled by all her foster family, but foster mum is her favourite! Shrimp loves being curled up on your lap, she snuggles down and gives lots of those special nose boops and kisses.

She has met people at her foster family’s home and at foster Nanna’s home, and has been very interested in meeting them all! She will approach them, and after a good sniff will put her little paws up on their legs for a fuss! Foster mum has always been present, and Shrimp looks frequently to her for reassurance.
Shrimp hasn’t been walked outside the garden as not fully vaccinated.

She has just started to join in the zoomie chases with the resident dogs, and with shouting at the postman! She loves being in the garden and will happily lie on the grass chewing an antler for ages. She enjoys sniffing and exploring in and outside, and whoever is cooking has a willing taste tester by their side! Her little tail wags away when she’s having a fuss, or being spoken to, she’s an absolute sweetheart.

Shrimp will happily share space, and walk past her foster family’s dog savvy cat, paying him no attention at all.
Not small furry tested.

Shrimp could live with children over 10yrs, who would be able to understand her needs.

Shrimp loves to play with soft dog toys, especially a crinkly donkey! She will choose which one she wants and trot of to have a chew. She’s starting to join play with the resident dogs, running after a toy, and a bit of gentle rough play!

Shrimp will happily wear a collar, harness and lead. She walks beautifully on lead and has been practicing in the garden. She also travels well by car with a harness and dog seat belt.

She sleeps in In a soft dog bed at the side of foster parent’s bed.

Shrimp has had no accidents inside her foster house, she has taken herself out to toilet, but has not asked to be let out. She sleeps all night with no accidents.

Shrimp absolutely loves eating! She already knows the feeding routine at her foster home, and will come running into the kitchen for the group 11AM treat! She is learning to wait her turn with a gentle but firm ‘wait’ command and flat palm gesture, and is learning very quickly. She eats her meals separately from the resident dogs at present.

Shrimp needs a home with another dog and will thrive in a home with someone around most of the time. Routine and a quieter home would build on Shrimp’s growing confidence, she would be stressed by a very hectic, busy environment, and definitely needs a home where cuddles are always available!

Lilyanne is 5 year old mini poodle described by her foster mum as a special little girl who is slowly coming out of herself, she is very ladylike and aloof. She is enjoying a fuss and cuddles and will ask for attention and a place on the sofa next to you. She is a lovely girl with a nice temperament once she gets over her fears. She has started barking at my neighbour when he visits which is new, but settles after a while.

No known health issues.

She can get really overwhelmed by the other dogs in her foster home at times and will take herself off to find a quiet spot till everyone calms back down. When foster mum comes downstairs in the morning she is with the others and excited to see her.

Lilyanne is not cat or small furry tested but due to her nature and careful introductions we would think she is fine.

Lilyanne could live with sensible older dog savvy children.

She doesn’t currently play with toys or the other dogs in her foster home.

Harness and lead training is a work in progress. She is happy to have the harness on and is getting used to the pressure of a lead. She is practicing in the garden and is improving daily.

She currently sleeps with the other dogs in the kitchen but likes to sleep on a chair.

Toilet training is also a work in progress. She is mostly fine if she has a routine and is encouraged to go out often. She doesn’t like the rain so needs to be watched on wet days as she’s worried about going curly.

She eats better away from others and is nervous about taking treats

Lilyanne needs a quiet home where she can choose to interact when she wants to. She needs another dog to watch and learn from but nothing too boisterous. She doesn’t mind them cuddling up to her but doesn’t currently instigate any contact. She is going to need time to decompress as she is still wary of new things and watches from afar. She is the type of dog that needs lots of coaxing and a soft voice.

• Active family to wear him out and keep up his training

Gizmo is a playful and energetic 16 month old Yorkshire Terrier who has had an upsetting time recently. He hasn’t been given any boundaries and has clearly been spoilt and adored by a previous owner. Foster mum describes him as a live wire who is nosy, cheeky and has an opinion on a variety of things. All this said, he is a very loving and friendly little chap, who is pleased to meet new people.

No known health issues.

Gizmo likes to “mouth” your hands and this play can progress if not managed appropriately. Since being in foster, we have not allowed mouthing of hands and new owners need to keep up the training. He came with toys but is more people orientated. The toys have been used as a distraction away from hands. He hasn’t been given direction as a puppy and likes to try and rule the roost. He has started training to associate being asked to do things as a positive and this needs to be kept up. As a typical Yorkie he can try to nip if handled or surprised.

Gizmo eats like a carthorse and can even be food frantic pushing other dogs off their food. He needs to be fed separately and using a slow feeder. He is not at all the usual fussy Yorkie.

He has not met cats or small furries but due to his nature we would not recommend he is homed with any.

Gizmo could be housed with older teenage children who will keep up his education to teach him manners.

Gizmo loves his walks and walks nicely on a lead. He can be a bit wary of traffic and likes to get a good look at things before he makes his mind up. This is improving and he is starting to love his little adventures.

He currently sleeps downstairs but would rather be on the bed. However, his 2am ruff n tumble sessions mean he has been banished. He does not like a crate or the pen and can become fearful but is learning this is a safe space and he gets rewarded for being good.

House training is a work in progress and there have been a few accidents but a routine and lots of positive reinforcement means he is getting there.

Gizmo is very fast, non-stop, and can jump incredibly high! He needs an active family to wear him out and keep that buzzing at a manageable level. He may even enjoy Agility or Hoopers. He is certainly not a retirement dog and deserves lots of adventures. He would benefit from another patient dog to play with, but could be an only dog with owners home most of the time. Needs new owner committed to his ongoing training

Jerry is a 3 year old cavalier described by his foster mum as a special boy with a lovely soft nature. He has amazing big brown eyes that just melts your heart.  

He is initially wary of people but comes around quickly with gentle attention. When comfortable he will come to have his head and chin stroked and will melt into your hand. He wants and is desperate for attention. He enjoys lounging on the sofa and taking himself off to foster mums room in the hope he gets to sleep on the bed.  

He has started to come for cuddles but is as yet not sure how to ask for this attention. He has relaxed into foster life and will now rest on his back with legs up in the air and he just doesn’t care. If he is unsure in his surroundings or with the situation he will sit down and look to you for guidance.

Jerry is not cat or small furry tested but has such a kind heart that with careful introductions he would be fine.

Jerry could live with older, sensible children who will read to him and spend time but not expect too much initially.

Jerry enjoys playing with some toys and enjoys a good chew toy. He is learning that being a dog is fun and as his confidence grows his character is shining through. He also enjoys a good sniff around the garden. He is not a barker but will bark at strange noises or people passing making a noise.

Jerry is now enjoying his walks and going exploring but needs another dog to follow who gives him confidence. He likes meeting new dogs when out walking but still needs his parents to decide which good dogs get to meet him.

Jerry currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs. He doesn’t like to be on his own and would really like to sleep on the bed with his human.

Jerry’s is toilet trained.

Jerry loves food and will now take treats from a gentle hand.

Jerry is a work in progress but he is well worth the effort. He would need a home with a resident dog for guidance and support. He needs patient owners who can offer support and encouragement. He can live with older sensible children who will not expect too much of him to start. In the right home Jerry is going to be the most amazing dog and it will be a pleasure to watch him grow.

Cammy is a beautiful 14 month old Labrador described by his foster mum as a real people lover. He is very eager to please his humans. He loves cuddles, and would love to be a lap dog when he is not being a high energy dog. He loves a fuss but if he has to wait in a queue of other dogs, he will shout to let you know! He is a real character, so loving and so keen to please his humans.

He learns so quickly and will need a patient owner who will continue his training and reward him when he does as asked. He is only young and gets excited so tends to jump up at people but is responding really well to the command of ‘off’ and is learning he only gets attention when all his four feet are on the floor.

He gets on great with the other dogs in his foster home.

Cammy is not cat tested she has seen foster mums’ cat outside and wanted to meet her but the cat got scared so no meeting took place. If a cat is used to dogs and careful introductions made, he may be ok but this can’t be guarantee

He loves children but due to his boisterous puppy nature and the bulk of him, he could easily knock over smaller children whilst playing. Older teenage children who match his energy levels would be fine, probably not the best around toddlers or small children.

Cammy is just learning to play with toys, and prefers to play with them with the other dogs. He’s not really interested in playing with them on his own but is young enough to learn to play with toys with people.

Cammy is great on walks. He is walked in a harness and lead and a slip lead. He does not pull and is responsive to commands. He has been on walks in the fields on a long lead (he loves those walks) and stays close to his handler, stopping as soon as he is called. His recall will need working on but he is really eager to please and responds well to praise. He is respectful of dogs met on walks and will walk by them if told to and praised for doing so.

Cammy sleeps downstairs with the other dogs claiming a comfy squishy dog bed in front of the fire as his preferred spot but also sleeps on the sofa but would love to sleep with his humans if he could.

Cammy is completely house trained.

He is learning to respect others whilst eating and has learnt already that each dog has their own space and he knows they will not invade his space.

Cammy would love a very active home with another active dog for lots of adventures. He wants to explore everything and have a go at everything. He loves going on walks and loves water. He has loads of energy and at the end of a busy day he would love nothing better than being snuggled and cuddled. He loves playing chase with other dogs and is very much a people dog, but he has been fine being left for a few hours with other dogs for company.

Mungo is an almost 3 year old Miniature Poodle described by his foster mum as a very friendly boy who wants lots of attention and pushes to the front of the other dogs to get in. He’s not nasty in any way, he is just craving attention due to a lack of it in his past. He adores being petted and brushed. Despite his world being turned upside down he has settled reasonably well in foster but doesn’t let foster mum go far until he is following her.

Veterinary history to be discussed

Mungo is happy to have his harness and lead put on and happy to go for a walk but appears to have not seen much of the outside world so is nervous in his surroundings and with the noises. This is being worked on and he is already much improved. He is just going to take time to learn that the world is not a scary place and can be exciting full of adventures.

When out an about he needs his new owners to initially decide who is safe for him to greet be they human or dog as he needs positive interactions. He is fine with most people but careful introductions need to be made as he is initially timid but warms quickly.

He has been fine in the house when left with the other dogs for short periods and is excited when foster mum returns.

He currently has shown no interest in cats or small furries.

We would recommend older children who will understand he needs time to settle.

He is an active dog but not yet showing interest in toys.

He currently sleeps in the kitchen with the other dogs but is desperate to be on the bed with his human or as close as he’s allowed.

Toilet training is a work in progress and is improving daily he just needs a regular routine and reminded to go out often.

He currently does not take treats from a hand but loves his food and is a greedy eater so we would recommend a slow feeder so that he actually tastes his food. He will try and take other dogs food so this needs to be monitored or he needs to be fed separately.

Mungo needs a resident dog for guidance and support. He also needs time and patience to decompress and loving caring parents who will support and guide him.

Faith is a 7 year old pug who arrived into rescue after being used as a breeding machine and sadly suffered from a horrendous prolapse, dry eye and severe ear infections. After weeks of time care and patience the prolapse has now retained, the dry eye has been treated and the ears are looking much better she is now looking amazing and feeling amazing and is like a different dog. The vets are over the moon with her progress and so are we.

Faith adores people and loves to be close to anyone who’s available. She will snuggle next to you on the sofa giving you random puggy kisses all over your face, follow you out the garden or sit right next to your feet if you are standing cooking in the kitchen. She adores walking on the lead and gets excited when she sees it happily trotting around on her walks taking in all the delightful smells and watching everyone that passes with a waggy tail.

Faith is just a pure darling she is a happy little madam who is happy sleeping snuggling and being around her humans.

Faith is currently living with 3 other dogs and is fine with them. She does not snuggle with them as she prefers to be close to the humans but she is happy in their company. She has shown no notice to any cats she’s passed on walks

Faith is absolutely fine around everyone and if she can get attention from child or adult she’s there. I wouldn’t recommend very small children that don’t understand how to be gentle yet as she is an older lady and she would like the more gentle snuggly children that are happy to snuggle and stroke her for as long as they can.

Faith does not play with toys or with the other dogs in the foster home but gives a very happy dance when she knows she’s going for a walk.

Faith sleeps very happily on the sofa whilst the other dogs in the home sleep next to foster mums’ bed. She may come up stairs through the night and join the other dogs but is equally as happy by herself on the sofa all night. Faith also snored LOUDLY so be warned.

Faith is 100% toilet trained.

Faith loves her food and likes to eat very slow she will allow the other dogs to steal her food once they’ve finished so this is monitored to make sure it doesn’t happen.

Faith is looking for a home with a family that are home most of the time as sometimes when she’s left, she will give out a funny little howl to tell you she’s not happy with you leaving. A home that’s happy to give her the attention she craves and lots of doggie walks that make her happy. She does sit under your feet and walk in front of you a lot trying to be near you and has tripped foster mum up a few times so it’s important you bear this in mind.

Taylor is a 5 year old westie described by his foster mum as being great in the home. He is as cuddly as a westie can be. He especially likes lying as close to you as he can get and if you fall off the settee or bed then tough. He is really coming out of his shell and his cheeky side is emerging.

Vet history to be discussed.

He walks well on a lead and likes to say hello to other dogs.

In the home he is very food orientated and is excited when given his food or treats. He needs to be reminded of his manners around these and we would recommend a slow feeder .

Taylor loves to play with a ball or plush toy. He hasn’t yet got the hang of bringing them back but he is super happy when he has them. He likes to run around with the toys and you chase him however we are trying to discourage this as its not a good game to play especially if you need him to come to you quickly if there was an emergency and he thinks you’re playing.

He is far too interested in cats and if he sees one he wants to chase so we recommend a home with no cats.

He can be homed with sensible dog savvy children.

He has been left for short periods with the resident dogs and has been fine watching out the window and guarding the house till foster mum comes home.

Taylor is house trained if he is allowed regular access to the garden or taken on walks. He doesn’t however like to be shut out anywhere alone. So, if he goes to the garden the door needs to be left open or you have to go with him and hold his paw.

He currently sleeps anywhere he likes but the closer to his human the better.

He does get travel sick as he has not spent a lot of time in the car but as he gets more practice and learns he is going exciting places this will improve.

Taylor is such a good all rounder he could be homed as an only dog if owners around most of the time or with a playful resident dog. He needs some work on his basic training and enjoys going for walks but wont be climbing Snowden anytime soon.

Mavis is a typical 6 month old bulldog puppy. She loves life, food and loves being everywhere at once. She is into everything and loves helping in the garden, with stray washing and has even been known to help tidy shoes around the house so she is full of fun, mischief and loves nothing more than a sofa snooze after a bush day of puppy life.

Mavis is recovering from a complex fracture in her front leg and although she’s never acted like she has a broken leg and doesn’t believe in staying calm or quiet she is still on a restricted exercise recovery programme in guidance with her vet specialist. Due to her recovery for a broken leg mavis isn’t allowed on walks yet so will need owners prepared to follow her care plan to get her back to full fitness slowly and show her everything a puppy needs to be a well adjusted social dog.

Mavis is a very cheeky loveable pup who is always exploring the house when not napping! She is very cuddly but also likes to nibble ears when being cuddled but be warned when she wriggles like a crocodile she wants to get down and be a strong independent female bulldog.

Mavis currently lives with a cat who isn’t a fan of Mavis and her lack of personal boundaries but Mavis loves the cat and tries to play with him daily!

Mavis is a whirlwind so wouldn’t be suitable with small children but could be homed with older children who would understand she can’t chase toys or balls until her leg is fully healed and she will try and play with toys regardless of who they belong to.

Mavis is very playful and loves other dogs and toys. Currently because of her leg she has to be calm and not play rough. She lives with a variety of dogs in her foster home and loves cuddling up with them when she’s tired.

Mavis walks well on a collar and lead, she can be stubborn as a bulldog so will need encouragement when allowed on walks.

As she is recovering, she currently sleeps in a crate in the kitchen. Although she doesn’t always appreciate the crate she does need to be in there when unattended so she doesn’t harm her recovery.

Mavis needs reminders to go outside to pee and any new owner should be prepared to work on this with her.

Mavis is very food orientated and loves food or treats.

Mavis would suit a family that are ready to have a bulldog take over their house, and a family that if she is quiet somewhere they’ll know she’s up to mischief. She is a funny, cheeky, loveable pup and she will bring so much fun to any home. She needs to continue rehab with her leg while it heals so she needs a home dedicated to following vet advice on exercise and recovery.

Mavis could live with another dog if the dogs very tolerant of puppies but she would also be equally happy on her own with her own humans to entertain her. She needs a bulldog experienced home and someone that isn’t just interested in her colouration.
She has spent weeks recovering from a broken leg and has spent large amounts of time crated so she can be very excitable, understandably, when she is out. A family that is going to make sure she doesn’t overdo it or charge around like a bulldog in a china shop.

Mavis is the most wonderful character and whoever adopts her will be getting an amazing dog to adventure with and teach about life now she’s ready to start getting back to full activity levels.

Hi there I’m Benji a stunning three-year-old Anatolian Shepherd cross. I’m a big boy with a big personality! I’m really fun and really affectionate to my people and other people I meet, although if you are an uninvited guest you and everybody else in the area will know it as my bark is incredibly lou. I am protective but not aggressive if I’m introduced to you by my foster and they tell me you are safe I will greet you like an old friend, sometimes with a tiny bit more enthusiasm than is necessary (I’m working on this).

My current foster has a lot of dogs which after initial settling in period I’m very good with my new pack, there is one other large male here that I’m not too keen on but other than the occasional grumble at one another we can coexist well, but this is down to my fosters experience and may not be the same for everyone. The rest of the dogs I absolutely love and spend most of my time playing, especially with my little buddy who is my favourite, he’s a 16 week old collie puppy who I let get away with absolute murder.  He very much enjoys jumping on me when I’m lying down and we love to play chase not that he can keep up, but when I let him catch me, he likes to pull on my ears and biting my legs because when I’m stood up he wouldn’t be able to reach anywhere else. I’m very very careful and gentle with him as he is only little.

I can get a little bit protective of my food around the other dogs but as long as I’m given my food behind a pen/stairgate I’m absolutely fine and as soon as I’m done even if there’s some food left in the bowl I don’t mind if the others have it. I’m the same with treats as I’d very much like to have them all for myself so as long as this is done sensibly, I’m fine especially after I’ve gotten settled and accustomed to my new canine friends.

I’m also apparently a very good boy because I have shown absolutely no interest in people food. I have not taken anything off the sides and I don’t even bother watching my humans when they eat that would be valuable time playing with my friends or sleeping wasted.

Since being on foster I have learnt how to enjoy and live alongside many different animals from cats, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, horses and sheep. I now show little to no interest in them. I enjoy trotting alongside the quad bike patrolling our property and checking on the sheep and other animals I very much like coming alongside my fosters while doing farm chores and playing with my doggy friend.

I do have to be carefully introduced to strange dogs as I can on occasion perceive them as threats to myself and my friends as they are my “flock” as this is what I was bred to do, but after careful introduction I’m happy to accept them into my flock I’m a model house guest I’m completely house trained, I don’t counter surf, even though I have the option of getting up on the sofas here I prefer the floor or dog beds. I’m quiet and not destructive when left either loose or in a pen. I do have minor tremors, due to having distemper as a pup, other than being a bit twitchy especially when I’m asleep this doesn’t in any other way affected or bother me in the slightest.

Im great with children but due to my size foster mum says I would be better with bigger older children so I don’t knock them over when we are playing. Pls share my post someone, somewhere is looking for a good boy like me and you could be share that finds me that home.

Tani a 7 year old mixed terrier described by her foster mum as a do that just loves people. At home she needs to be close to you and will hop into your lap and ask for snuggles. She likes to sleep on the bed and sofa so will need to go to a home where she’s allowed on the furniture!

Veterinary history to be discussed but since her pictures were taken, she has had to have her left eye removed due to glaucoma. She is now feeling much better and this has not slowed her down.  

Tani is a cheeky little lovebug. She trots around the house, makes herself at home on the sofa and the bed, and rolls around like a little goofball with her legs in the air. She’s incredibly gentle and loving but has personality for days and is always making us laugh with her mannerisms. If you stop cuddling her too soon, she’ll let you know with a playful boop of her paw.

Cannot be homed with cats or small furries as she goes full terrier.

Tani has met a few children and is generally fine but we would say older sensible children would be best (secondary school age) as she doesn’t cope well with loud noises, sudden movements or being touched/grabbed unexpectedly. She’s never shown any aggression towards people but we wouldn’t take any risk.

Tani is not really interesting in toys and can be reactive to dogs approaching her too quickly. She just likes to pick and choose her friends. She has been seen playing with one dog in the park but basically she gives them all a wide berth. New owners will need to be able to advocate for her and ensure that dogs approaching her are polite and respect her space.

Tani walks very well on her lead, doesn’t pull and is happy to trot along with you. Off her lead she generally stays close by. Foster mum has been working on her recall but new owners will need to continue this in a secure area. Out on a walk she can be a little shy with new people but she’ll happily have a little sniff and a tail wag before carrying on her adventures.

She will sleep in her dog bed but her favourite place is to be on her human’s bed nice and close.

She is fully house trained and is very gentle with food and treats.

Tani would love humans that have lots of time to spend with her- retired people or people working from home would be ideal. She is fine to be left alone for a few hours and is never destructive but she’s much happier when her people are around. She gets worried about loud noises and sudden movements so a quieter home would be better. She doesn’t need tonnes and tonnes of walking but she loves to do big sniffs around the woods or the park or the beach so owners would need to be happy with moderate activity for her adventures. Overall, someone that will treat her like a princess, shower her with love and spoil her rotten for the rest of her life- she’s a gentle soul who’s had a rough and disrupted life so far and deserves to be queen of her new castle as an only dog.

Jolene is a 2 year 11 month old Pug who loves everyone! She gives lots of kisses on your face, hands or even feet! She gets all excited around new people and does a little ‘happy dance’.

Veterinary history to be discussed but she recently had to have an eye removed which is healing well and doesn’t bother her. She is also currently under weight which is being worked on with correct feeding.

Jolene is a very sweet girl who loves company in the house. She likes to follow you around everywhere and she likes sleeping at your feet when you are sat at a table/desk. If you get up you can guarantee she is coming too. When she is ready for a nap, she will snuggle up with you and will nestle right into you, or she’ll find a good spot to stretch out. She suckles on beds/blankets/cushions and kneads them for comfort.

She likes to have things to do and enjoys licki mats and playing with soft toys. She enjoys watching the TV too and will tilt her head side to side listening!

She is not cat tested but she LOVES to chase birds in the garden so we think she would chase cats.

She has not been on walks yet as she has been recovering but she was happy to see new people at the vets when she went for a check-up.

She is a typical pug bouncy and a bit of bulldozer despite her small size! She can also be a bit mouthy when playing which is just over excitement. Due to this we think she would probably be better off with slightly older, sensible children.

Jolene loves playing with soft toys and will play by herself. She is keen to play with the resident dog but he is not interested (he doesn’t understand her cues)! If rehomed with dogs, ideally with similar breeds that understand her ‘pug-ness’.

She is great with harness and lead on and gets excited when she sees it or you say walkies! She has been practicing in the garden but will need reminding of some manners on the lead, she is mostly good but gets over excited and pulls/barks.

She currently sleeps downstairs on a dog bed, but she would be just as at home on the bed!

She is mostly clean in the house. She has had the odd accident – she isn’t good at letting you know when she needs to go, so will need reminding of this.

She is a typical pug and loves her food. She will grumble if another dog approaches her when she is eating. No problem when fed separately and she hasn’t approached the resident dog whilst he is eating. She is fine with treats and chews and would eat any sort of human food if left unattended.

Jolene is so easy going she would fit into any home. She ideally needs someone around most the time who appreciates her pug-ness. Someone who has the time to put in some training. Apart from that she would settle into most homes well as long as there is love and food.

Billy is a 5 Year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as a happy girl once everyone in the home is sat down and settled. If the house is busy with lots going on and noise then she retreats into a nervous young lady. She will accept cuddles when your sat next to her but as yet will not initiate cuddles.

Billy has yet to find her playful side although she can be quite cheeky on times steeling my resident dogs’ toys even when she has no intention of playing with them herself. She shows playful signs to the resident puppy but does not really play much.  

Billy is happy around younger dogs but her foster family feel a dog closer to her age would allow her to come out of her shell at her own pace. There are currently cats in her foster home to which she pays no attention.

Billy can live with a family with older sensible teenage children or a family with no children.

Billy is just getting used to having a harness on and is quite happy to have it put on her, but walking with the lead does cause her a bit of stress. This is currently a work in progress but with patience and commitment she will enjoy being walked eventually.

Billy currently sleeps in a crate and sleeps peacefully all night.

Billy is house trained but may still have the occasional accident.

Billy is currently being fed in her crate away from the resident dog to allow her to eat at her pace without another dog stealing her food.

Billy would like a quiet home with another dog to allow her to continue decompressing. She is still a nervous girl but a patient home with experience of dealing with timid dogs will encourage Billy to trust her human and enjoy life.

Candy is a 6 year old Yorkshire Terrier described by her foster mum as a very people focused little lady. In the home she craves attention and will push her head under your hand to make sure you keep stroking her. She loves nothing more than to cuddle up to her human and have a nice long belly rub. Despite being very confident she does have her own little kryptonite that comes in the form of Flies. If she hears a fly she will hide between your legs and shake with fear even if she can just hear the fly and not see it.

Candy gives cute little growly grunts when she wants attention as if she is talking to you. Her ears go back and she will look at you with puppy dog eyes which will melt your heart.

Candy is getting more interested in the cat in her foster home and has started to run after him or try to get to him if he’s sat on the window sill. If the cat is on the floor she is not much interested as it’s no fun if the cat isn’t trying to get away. She hasn’t met any other small animals but being a terrier there is always a chance she will chase. She could live with a very dog savvy cat if you have one.

We recommend teenagers over the age of 14 who would know how to deal with her demands for attention or preferably a child free house. She can get a little over excited when playing and can nip and tug your clothes. This is just her playing and is not meant as nasty.

Candy loves toys but be warned any toys must die. Squeaky toys need to be de squeaked and shredded and fluffy toys have to have their innards removed and spread so everyone can see how brave she is being. She will play with toys and a ball but they will all end up in bits.

Candy walks beautifully on a lead and gets excited when she knows she is going out. She will walk confidently by your side and loves to sniff and investigate her surroundings. She is very interested to see people when she is out on her walks and is friendly but can sometimes bark at people in the distance or across the road.

Candy sleeps on her foster mums bed quietly all night.

Candy is 95 % house trained and will go to the door to be let out. Sometimes she will scratch the door to let you know.

She is very greedy with food which needs to be monitored as she’s a bit of a chonk. She also loves treats and will try and grab any treat that is being given to the other dogs.

Candy needs a home with people home most of the day as she loves her humans. Older people that are still active and like to walk a few times a day or a family with older teenagers over 14 who know when a dog needs space and measures put in place if there are any visiting younger children. Candy needs to be an only dog.

Lana is a brave 5 year old Bichon Frise described by her foster mum as changing every day. She is not frightened of visitors to the home. She can be a bit shy to start especially if approached but when she knows you, she is fine and loves having her ears scratched. Her tail is like a little helicopter and she will paw you for more attention.

Medical history to be discussed

Lana likes frequent naps throughout the day so doesn’t require a very active household. Noise and busy activity around the house don’t seem to bother her.

Not cat/furry tested but is very interested in watching the chickens.

Lana has been tested with children over 10 and has been fine as long as they are gentle and patient.

Lana loves soft toys and enjoys carrying them around and sleeping with them. She chases a ball in the garden but doesn’t know what to do when she reaches it. Having nice things is all new to her and she is just working them out.

She is happy for a harness and lead to be put on and generally walks ok but this is new to her so it is all a work in progress. She prefers a harness that doesn’t go over her head. Generally she is not worried about meeting any strangers out and about.

Currently Lana sleeps in a crate at night on her own and will sleep all night. Throughout the day she chooses between a bed, the sun in the garden, or her open crate.

Lana is house-trained, she hasn’t had an accident in the house whilst in her foster home and is starting to go to the door to be let out.

She is a little bit greedy with her food and as soon as she has finished hers she is looking at her foster sisters’ bowls!. This will need to be monitored or she could be fed separately. She is very gentle to take treats from you and is not protective of her food.

Lana is a lovely sweet natured gentle dog who is coming out of herself every day. She loves the gardens and enjoys sitting in the sun watching the world go by. She currently lives with 2 resident dogs and 1 other foster dog, she gets on very well with all of them but is still quite happy to venture about by herself. She can be rehomed with another resident dog who isn’t too energetic or she seems quite happy to be the only dog to get all the human fuss.

Maggie May is an 7 month old big baby of an Old English Sheepdog. Currently she is a shy and scared little big girl who has already in her 7 months of life gone through a lot. She looks to the resident dogs and her foster mum for reassurance in her daily life. She is not going to bond straight away this is going to need to be built up in her own time. The right resident dog is going to play a BIG part in her happy forever after.

She has been good with people she knows in the home but will not choose to come to you until she can totally trust you. She currently doesn’t play with the other dogs or toys but does like to sit and watch.

As a big scared puppy, she can be rehomed with older dog savvy children.

She pays no attention to the resident cat and acknowledges other dogs and gives a sniff but doesn’t interact

She is used to wearing a lead and will wear a harness but currently will not go for a walk outside of the garden. She is going to need to build her confidence in the home with her new family and fur siblings before venturing out into the big wide world. This is going to need to be done at her pace.

Maggie currently sleeps where she wants be it on the settee, dog bed in kitchen or in humans bedroom but she doesn’t like being alone unless it’s in her safe place.

House training is a work in progress. She will toilet outside if you take her out and will pace around when she needs to go but she won’t come back in readily and it takes a while to get her in. Following the other dogs and being rewarded helps with this but there may be occasions where you need patience. When she is scared, she will toilet where she is. This is not her fault and will improve, she needs time and a loving family.

Maggie doesn’t really eat treats but does like the occasional digestive biscuit. Currently she is given food in another room as the resident dog is greedy and Maggie is very subservient.

Maggie needs a home with a young resident patient dog of a similar size who can show her the roped. A family that has knowledge and experience of her breed and big dogs who can be patient and watch this big baby blossom into the puppy she should be. She is growing in confidence every day and makes her foster mum proud with how she’s changing but this is going to take time and patience.

Fidget is a 6 month old Dalmatian puppy with some health issues that need a very special family to take him on and give him adventures but also make sure he gets regular checks with the vets supported by FOA for his life. Fidget has a heart murmur which doesn’t require surgery or medication currently but he will need this monitored as he grows and gets older, he is under the care of a cardiologist and this will be continued by FOA when in his forever home.

Fidget also suffers from a type of puppy arthritis that means as his growth plates are growing, he gets pain in his legs so until he is 20mnths and has fully grown he may have good days and bad days with his joints which mean he might need less walks and more sofa cuddles on certain days. This is controlled with pain relief and he is a typical puppy regardless of his medical issues.

Fidget is a typical Dalmatian, into everything, eager to investigate anything and wanting to be where ever you are in the house. He can be a little reserved when first meeting people out of the home but as soon as he sniffs a treat, he will be their best friend for life! On a walk fidget currently thinks everything is for sniffing or eating so he needs owners that are committed to making him realise that the treats come from looking up not looking down and foraging.

In the house fidget now sleeps downstairs with no issue but initially he had separation issues so any prospective home should be prepared to settle him in and work on any anxiety he may show when he moves into a new home.

Fidget is a cheeky, inquisitive puppy who definitely keeps you on your toes. You won’t have to worry if you accidentally leave shoes around, he’ll bring them to you, if you leave any food on the kitchen counter edge, he may product test for your safety and if you need help weeding the garden, he is a very keen amateur gardener (no guarantees the shoes, food or plants will enjoy his help). After all this helping he is also a real cuddle monster and loves a sofa blanket nap.

Fidget ignores the resident cat, and although interested in birds on a walk he lives with a parrot with no prey drive shown or real interest other than hoping to share parrot food.

Fidget is a big giraffe like puppy who likes to use his long legs while asking for a cuddle on a sofa, and doesn’t really have any awareness of obstacles or things in his way if he’s playing or investigating so a home with older children that can take an active role in his training and vet care would be fine. Due to his occasional joint pain children will need to respect his need for rest and calm just as much as fun and play.

Fidget loves playing with toys and other dogs, due to his joints he’s not allowed to run around too much or engage in lots of rough play, but he’s always very happy to find another dog to play with. Initially in the home fidget was quite jealous of other dogs getting attention or sharing space with him, but now he will happily curl up with the others on a sofa or share space in the car etc.

Fidget walks well on a harness and lead.

He sleeps downstairs without issue overnight.

Fidget is nearly house trained, due to the medication he’s on for his joints he needs more frequent reminders to go outside compared to other dogs of similar age, but he will now go towards the back door when he needs to go out, and gives circling warnings if he is distracted while playing but then will follow instructions to go straight outside. When out he likes to find exactly the right spot so needs an owner willing to give him un pressured time on walks in one area to go and reward with treats which is working brilliantly for him at present.

Fidget is a puppy who’s learning lots in his foster home with a range of dogs in size and age. He is fed separately to other dogs as he is still food reactive while eating but will take treats next to others with no issue. Any prospective home should be committed to continuing his development and learning and have read up or be willing to follow training advice to continue managing his learning around food and crates if they are to be used in any home.

Fidget needs a Dalmatian or similar breed experienced home, with a family or someone willing to treat him like a puppy but also appreciate some days he’ll be quieter than normal and some days he might need more direction and guidance on things if he’s not experienced them before. He is a very inquisitive puppy who is in to everything so he needs a home accepting of the fact he will show up and want to be everywhere and see everything initially, and needs consistent messages for training so he grows up to be a well adjusted dog. He could live as an only dog or with an adult calm dog that would be tolerant of a young dog invading their space. He needs owners that are home the majority of the day or have capacity to take fidget to work as he doesn’t like being left for long periods and gets stressed in a crate. Fidget is a fun, busy, whirlwind of a puppy that will bring a lot of laughs as well as a lot of training challenges but whoever opens their home and heart to this puppy will get so much back in return and fidget deserves the chance to be a loved pet in a forever home despite his medical issues as he loves life and wants to see it all.

Eileen AKA Boo is a 6 year old Bichon who has been in rescue since Valentine’s Day and she is definitely a heart breaker. She’s has been used for breeding and sadly has not had the life she truly deserves. She is a shy, nervous little dog who desperately wants to trust and be loved.  She’s more nervous around women than men but has started following foster mum around and looks for her if she disappears into another room. This is how she came by her nickname of Boo as she will appear from nowhere and look at you with her big chocolate button eyes and then walk away when you move.

She likes to play hide and seek too and will sometimes take herself off when she needs some quiet time. She’s nervous of new people coming into the home and will take herself off to her safe place and watch what’s going on from a distance. She’s trying to figure out this whole new world she’s in. She’s not used to people being kind to her.  At the moment when she’s approached, she moves away from you but when she’s feeling brave, she will come up to you and give you a little sniff.

She will let you put on her harness with a lot of gentle persuasion and patience. She hasn’t been out for a walk yet but is practicing in the garden. She is showing improvement every single day. She has the cutest little bark, and will be a real character when she finds her confidence.

She doesn’t yet play with toys but has shown an interest in the dog’s toy box so were confident it won’t be long as she will be playing or carrying them around.

Eileen could live with a dog savvy cat as she has shown absolutely no interest in the cat in her foster home. She could also live in a home with either no children or older teenagers.

Eileen sleeps with the other dogs in the home downstairs and is as good as gold sleeping all night.

Eileen is completely house trained and will go to the back door to let you know she needs to out.

The way to Eileen’s heart is definitely food, she absolutely loves food. She waits patiently with the other dogs to be fed. She needs to be supervised when being fed because as she will allow the other dogs to eat her food.

Eileen would like and needs a very patient quiet special home with humans who will give her the time and space she needs to adjust to her new world. She needs a home where her new owners have experience and a good understanding of ex puppy farm dogs. Someone who ideally is home most of the day. She would like furry friends too for company and to continue to learn from. She really is a lovely special little lady who is desperately trying to work out humans and her new world.  She loves a soft dog bed and would definitely love one of these please. In time she will be the most amazing dog she just needs to find her special humans who will give her time, patience, love and understanding and in return you will have a best friend for life.

Winnie or Wiggly Winnie as her foster mum likes to call her is a 6 year old cocker spaniel described by her foster mum as a lovely girl who desperately wants to run over to you in the garden and get a cuddle but is still nervous so she wiggles her way to you instead.

She watches the action from the sofa, keen to perhaps get the ball or jump down and run downstairs with the other dogs, but she’s still shy… so she wiggles instead. In fact. Winnie is wiggly winnie as she wiggles her rear end whenever she is running about. If you call her name she will stops and look and wiggle with excitement and nerves.  
 
She doesn’t yet play but has been watching the others catch a ball and run to foster mum watching them get lots of positive fuss and attention. All the time her little tail beats like a drum on the cushions. She is going to be an amazing affectionate dog once she feels safe.

Winnie lives with other dogs, an adult, a teenager and a nine-year-old. She is calm, still slightly nervous and timid but has shown nothing but an eagerness to love humans and other animals.

Winnie tries really hard to trust. She is not quite there yet with the lead and harness. It feels strange to her. She has never been walked before. But she keeps practicing.

She currently sleeps downstairs on the sofa and is a good girl all night.

She is fully house trained and eats well around the other dogs.

Winnie needs a home that has the patience to wait. Wait while she wiggles and wait for those wiggles to turn into action! She is so sweet, so gentle, so loving. She wants to love. She wants to sit on your lap. She wants to bound over to you in the garden, she is just a little shy. Sometimes, when she thinks you aren’t watching, she will have a funny five minutes rolling around on her back or running herself up and down the fence for a scratch.

Winnie needs a home with patient owners with a resident dog for guidance. A family who has the time to let her decompress and come out of her shell. Her lead and harness training will need to continue in the home and garden to start with and as she gains confidence she can be introduced to the world and all the good things she has missed out on so far.

Betty is a 9 year old King Charles Cavalier described by her foster mum as a sweet girl who has really come out of her shell since being in foster. She adores attention and gives it back a million times over. Once she knows you, she is a super laid back fur baby who is super appreciative of the small things. She is a little nervous when you first meet but will soon be your best friend for life.

She has ongoing health issues that will be paid for by the charity and is feeling so much more herself with the correct medication for her heart issues. She takes her meds twice a day like a good girl and will need to continue this in her forever home.

Betty loves being out in the garden enjoying the sun (when we get some), loves going for a little walk to survey her kingdom, loves to play, be adored and then loves to sleep. When she is out and about, she walks with a confident wiggle in her step happy to show off how beautiful she is inside and out. When she gets home, she loves to have a little snore which will help you drift off to her melodic happy sounds.

Betty prefers wet food but will pick at dry kibble. She is on a diet of Ava dry for her sensitive tummy and has a small amount of wet food mixed in to tempt her. This will be discussed with potential adopters. Betty knows what treats are and will sit and wait her turn patiently.

Betty is a little hard of hearing so foster mum has been working on hand signals and she has picked it up really quick.

Betty is mostly house trained and twill try and tell you that she wants to go out, but still has the odd accident.

Betty is in foster with other dogs and whilst she is happy to sit back and watch she won’t take any bullying and will tell others if she is unhappy with their behaviour. She gently reminds them by giving a warning and moving away.

Betty sleeps downstairs in the kitchen with another dog for company, and is happy with this. She can now use the stairs which did take her a time to master but is happy with her friend.

Betty has met dog savvy children and can be rehomed with children 10 and over.

Betty is a special girl who appreciates all the small things that are so often the hardest part to give a rescue dog. She even loves a bath relishing in the contact. She is currently not keen on having her feet touched which is probably due to her nails being so overgrown when she came into rescue but this is being worked on.

Betty being a spoilt princess likes to have a flannel wash of her face and around her eyes every morning which is done before food knowing that her breakfast is coming next.

Betty needs a quiet loving home with another dog or two for snuggles when the human slave is not available. A family who will take her for small daily walks and just enjoy the life she so deserves. She comes with full rescue back up and we will pay for her medication that she has twice a day for life. The vets are happy that her condition is stable and there is no reason she shouldn’t live a full life.

Minnie is a nearly 2 year old beautiful long haired chocolate Chihuahua described by her foster mum as a typical 2.5 kg princess who likes to be familiar with her humans. She likes to be as close as she can and will sit on your shoulder if there’s room. Her favourite past time is snuggling and sitting on your lap and following you everywhere. She does get under your feet when she follows you so you must be very mindful of this so she doesn’t get hurt.

Minnie is fearful of strangers and they must give her time and room to feel safe. If they push themselves on her like any respectable lady she is going to warn you to back off before she goes into Ninja Chi mode which in Minnies case consists of a growl and even a snap if you keep pushing her. This needs to be worked on at Minnie’s pace.

As Minnie is the most lovable princess once she’s chosen you as her mummy/daddy/slave she gives out a little squeaky bark to get your attention whether it’s to lift her up on the bed or to play with her. She has the sweetest little nature but is not the trusting type outside of her family unit and will run or bolt if unsure. She needs to be secure at all times with a lead and harness outside the home as she’s so little she’s a speedy Gonzales..

Minnie is fine living in her foster home with other dogs and really enjoys the company of the other male chihuahua in the home. She will try to play with him and gets excited if he joins in. They snuggle on foster mums sons bed together in the nights and sleep all night.

Minnie is scared of small young children and will run away so older sensible children who will not treat her as a toy would be preferred.

Minnie will have bouts of playfulness and with give a little shriek of excitement when she wants to play. She hasn’t yet played with toys herself but will play with the other chihuahua when he feels like it. She is not fond of flat faced dogs as they scare her and she reacts to this.

Minnie walks fine on the lead but will struggle and become scared when seeing or meeting strangers. She’s happy just walking with her foster mummy and her chihuahua foster brother in quiet places. She needs to keep practicing and not be picked up which will reinforce her fears. Just ask people to be patient and leave her alone.

Minnie sleeps on her foster mums’ sons bed with her foster chihuahua snuggled down and sleeps all night.

Minnie is house trained but doesn’t always ask to go out she will use a puppy pad if one’s available though.

Minnie is a very fussy eater and would choose human food every time over any dog food. She’s a princess after all. She is now starting to eat a few dog biscuits small amounts and often but she is a fussy princess who feels she should be fed bacon sandwiches and roast dinners lol

Minnie needs a quiet home that doesn’t have a constant stream of visitors. To many humans arriving and leaving would stress her out and she would become very anxious and unhappy. A family who can see how precious she is and will spoilt her but not encourage her nervous behaviour. A home that can work on her Insecurities around strangers and help her feel safe is important. She would love a little chihuahua friend that likes to play and can show her all the good things a loving home can offer. She’s only young and although a worrier she does like to play and have puppy fun at times.

Hello my names Morgan and I’m a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel. I have learnt to trust my foster family and will go to them for attention when I want to. It has taken me a little time to get used to being around humans. I have been allowed to do things in my own time and my new pawrents will need to allow me to this in my forever home. My foster mum tells me that I will learn to love cuddles and that it’s all about the love.

I was very shy and timid when I first arrived in my foster and I used to sit on the back door step but every day I gained a bit more confidence and I am now happy to explore the house and check things out. I’ve discovered stairs though I’m still unsure of them and this thing called a second floor. I have discovered that the sofa is a much nicer place to snuggle and have a snooze, though I’m happy to spend time on my dog bed too.

I have come across humans when I have been on my walks and I’m still a little wary of them so I will check that they have moved on before I continue my way. I am getting better every time that I go out and did allow one human to say hello (foster mum told him I was a little nervous but he was very gentle and kind and so I didn’t mind).
I love the garden and have had free reign at my foster home. I like to hide in the flowerpots, this made my foster mum laugh when she first discovered me hiding, even though I flattened her daffodils.

As I’m still wary of sudden movements and sudden loud noises I would be better off in a home that doesn’t have very young children. I would be ok with dog savvy children though.

I don’t play with toys at the moment even though there are plenty lying around. I guess this because I’m not sure what they are yet. I didn’t like the crate and so I have a comfy dog bed in the living room and I am quite happy there.

I do sometimes play with the resident dog but that’s if I’m in the mood. He is still a puppy and although he has been brilliant with me, he can be a bit excitable and I will go and lie on my bed for some peace when I’m a bit overwhelmed.

I’ve never had to wear a harness or a lead before so this has taken quite some time and my training will need to continue in my new home. I was reluctant to move when my foster mum attached the lead to the harness for the first time and so she has introduced attaching it and leaving me be. She also kept telling me that there is an amazing place outside the front door that I can explore. She was so right. I can sniff loads of things; I’ve tried to chase the pigeons on the odd occasion too.

I didn’t like the crate when foster mum offered me it to sleep in. so I have a comfy dog bed in the living room, and I am quite happy there. Though on the odd occasion my foster family have come down in the morning and I’m curled up on the sofa.

I have been brilliant about doing my toilet outside, I did have an accident when I first arrived but that was because it was all strange. I am let out into the garden regularly so if I need to do anything it’s ok. I’ve tended to do it when we are out walking.

I have eaten in the same room as a visiting dog and I am fine with that, my foster dog eats in a different place but that’s because he loves food and might eat mine too (greedy monster). I’m not really bothered by treats although my foster family have tried to tempt me with them, but I think this is because I’m not used to them and I may come to like them.

I’d like a home with a resident dog who can give me confidence on our adventures, patient humans who will allow me to do things in my own time. I don’t mind if they are younger or older as long as they are active as I do like to go out for walks. I just need a family to love me and help me in my new life.

Iris is a 7 year old Shih Tzu described by her foster mum as a nervous little dog who will approach you if you have food or when she’s with the other dogs but currently wont initiate contact. She’s improving every single day and when she does ask for attention, she lets you smooth her head and body. You can see she is absolutely desperate to be loved and closes her eyes when you smooth her.

Veterinary history to be discussed.

She will bark at visitors when they come into the house but this is out of fear and once left alone to think it through, she quickly settles.

She has discovered a love for toys especially balls and will roll and chase them around the room. She will play on her own but also likes to follow the other dogs around and copy them. Her cheeky side is starting to appear and a new thing is that she likes to collect socks and shoes. So, if you don’t want them hoarded away then they will need to be safely out of reach.

Iris currently lives with two dogs and a cat and takes absolutely no notice of the cat.

Iris definitely needs another dog to learn from in her forever home.

She can live with teenagers but younger children scare her and she will run away.  

Iris has only been out once on a harness and lead but didn’t really enjoy it. This will come in time once she bonds with her family and her furry brother or sister. Currently she will run if scared so needs to be walked on a lead and harness. She also needs a secure garden and would eventually love to have some fun with her family in a secure field when she feels more confident. Her lead training is continuing in her foster home in the garden where she feels safe.

Iris currently sleeps down stairs with the other dogs and feels happier if she has the other dogs with her.

Iris is nearly house trained she will go outside to toilet when you invite her to but you need to go with her and hold her paws as she is scared of being left alone. She doesn’t let you know when she needs to go so you need to invite her out. She is starting to gain confidence but at the moment she is taken out often. She’s getting there it just takes time.

Iris is fine to eat around other dogs but would happily stand back and let one of the others or even the cat eat her food so she is supervised during meal times to make sure she gets enough. She absolutely loves cheese this is her favourite treat.

Iris is just like a beautiful flower starting to bloom and when she does flower, she will be the sweetest, funniest and cheeky little dog. She needs the very best home with a resident dog with patient, gentle and loving owners who will teach her what it’s like to be loved and feel safe. A family who will give her all the experiences she missed out on. She wants to explore beaches, parks and woodlands and needs an owner with an understanding of ex breeding dogs. She would like a toy box full of balls and cuddly toys and the occasional piece of cheese.
