Kenny is such a handsome 6 month old kitten with unusual face markings, he looks like he’s wearing a Batman mask. He loves to chase anything and is an excellent fly catcher. His favourite pastime at the moment is walking along the stair rail and playing with you as you go up and down the stairs!
Kenny would be great with children and ideally would like another young cat to play with. He’s a very cwtchy boy and likes to be rocked like a baby to go to sleep
Having been born in rescue and spent his kittenhood in foster wouldn’t it be wonderful for Kenny to be in his forever home for his first Christmas
Kenny is litter trained and uses a scratch post. Kenny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Babs is a beautiful 6 month old kitten, she would ideally like another young cat to play and cuddle with as she’s very sociable with the cats in her foster home. She also likes to play with her human slaves and would love a couple of children to play with her.

Update William continues to grow in confidence, now allowing his foster mum to stroke and fuss him. He’s running around like a kitten and loves to cwtch with the calm older cat of the house.
Prince William is a beautiful amber eyed black and white cat with a lovely thick soft coat.
He’s a very timid boy who will need a patient home with a safe space to hide in at first while he gets used to his new surroundings. He still backs away from a hand near him but is starting to enjoy being stroked. Although he’s wary of people he’s definitely a playful youngster when he feels safe.
Could you be the right home to help William’s confidence? Love, patience and time is all it’ll take
William has lived with other cats.
Applications welcomed from anyone who will give William as much time and patience as he needs for his confidence to grow and allow him to become part of the family he deserves.

There are few cats who will give you as much love and attention as her.
Molly has been with her foster family for a year now and while they love her very much she’d love to have her forever home where she can cuddle up with her own family.

As a Bengal she needs a home that will understand her busy brain and ensure she’s entertained productively. She loves human company and cwtches. Bengals are beautiful intelligent cats but can get up to mischief if bored!
Delilah could live with a calm cat savvy dog or another cat with patient introductions. She’d prefer a quieter home but could live with older children or teens who are able to redirect play.

Luci is a domestic shorthair and what she lacks in limbs she makes up for in love

She enjoys sunning herself on the patio and playing with a variety of toys especially chasing after and batting fishing rod style ribbons and toys on strings.
She gets on well with her foster siblings and likes to play with them though she prefers the company of humans.
Luci would flourish in a family with loving parents who can provide her with the attention she loves. She’s the perfect lap cat and provides vocal support during the working day.
Luci is neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
King Charles is a very regal, beautiful fluffy white Persian. He is incredibly friendly and loves a lot of fuss. He constantly rubs against you purring for attention and jumping up on his back legs for face rubs. He is very vocal too. He will happily jump onto a lap and curl up if given the chance.
Charles should be fine with older children who understand he’s not a fluffy toy, as far as Charles is concerned the more attention the better!
Charles’ eyes need wiping with damp cotton wool pads a few times a week to keep them clean. He currently eats sensitive digestive dry food which has settled his tum as it was a little unsettled after moving to his foster home. He also needs gentle brushing to keep his coat in tip top condition.
If your home is ready for King Charles to descend and change your life for the better please fill in the form below. Charles is neutered, litter trained, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Caramel is a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel described by her foster mum as very shy but such a super special lady who needs someone willing to take the time to get her to trust them. She is incredibly sweet but can be jumpy at sudden noises. She arrived into foster very shut but is slowly coming out of her shell. She is going to need time to realize she is safe and loved.
Not cat or small furry tested
Caramel has been around older dog savvy children and has been fine. She can be afraid of sudden movements or sudden noises. She lives happily with the children in foster who are 8,10 and 12.
She has not yet learnt to play with toys but she does enjoy a bone / edible chew.
Caramel walks beautifully on a lead and harness but has only done short local walks. This can grow as her confidence grows and another dog in the home will help her with this journey.
Caramel sleeps a combination of in the bed with foster mums 12 year old and in her pen in the conservatory and she is no bother in either.
She is house trained but with all nervous dogs she needs company in the garden with her as she is scared to go alone. This will improve as her confidence grows but for now she needs you to hold her paw. There have been no accidents and she is clean overnight.
She eats with the other dogs in the home with no issues.
Caramel needs a quieter home with another calm dog to learn and gain confidence from. She needs patient pawrents, ideally who have knowledge of ex breeders. She will need time, patience and a safe place to retreat to when worried. A home where she can learn that humans are kind and can be trusted.

Tilly and Pippin are 3 year old Bichon cross Chihuahuas that found themselves in rescue due to no fault of their own. Their previous owner who clearly loved and adored them had to had them in due to a change in circumstances. Tilly is the more affectionate of the two although Pippin will cuddle and give kisses when she is ready. This pair are very bonded and love to groom each other which is lovely to see.
In the home they are very welcoming and excited to meet new people. They both run towards the door with wagging tails and barking as if to say hello. They love any and all attention that they can get.
Unknown due to only having their 1st jab.
Tilly & Pippin have not been tested with cats or small furries.
They are comfortable with children and have been around children aged 7-13, one of which has autism.
Tilly nor Pippin are used to being on a lead, but at their foster home foster mum has had them on a lead encouraging them in the garden. So further encouragement will be required when they find their forever homes. They desperately need exercise and a carefully managed diet if they are going to achieve next years goal of bikini bodies. As we said they were very much adored by their previous owner.
Both Tilly & Pippin sleep together in a crate in the kitchen, snuggled up.
They are both house trained, though as with most dogs an occasional accident occurs.
Tilly & Pippin are used to eating around each other but Tilly is inclined to hurry her food and go in search of her sisters. So they must be kept an eye on and we would recommend slow feeders.
Tilly & Pippin need a family who will help them transition now into a more active lifestyle. They need to slowly loose weight and need encouragement to explore the outdoor world. They are a lovely young pair who have adjusted well in foster. They just need further encouragement now in their forever home.

Sugar is a 4 year old Cavalier described by her foster mum as a special young lady who has come into her personality and is being a cheeky playful girl like the puppy she should have been. She loves chewing up cardboard boxes – more so if she thinks she’s sneaked it away without you seeing. She likes going in the car and is even happy going to the vets as she gets lots of lovely attention. She likes to be near her humans but as long as there’s another dog around she is fine alone (just leave her with a box)
She is very very loving and happy to give kisses and nose boops and sees everything like an amazing adventure, to the point sometimes her tail wags so hard she could take off. She finds the tv fascinating and when planet earth is on will park herself right in front of it and bark at the birds.
Sugar has a grade 4 heart murmur that currently doesn’t require any treatment
She has no problem with harness and lead – once the harness is on. She is nervous on a walk but only because of the new environment. She is great with people in the home and believes people only come to the house to adore her and to give Sugar love and kisses. She gets along with all the dogs she’s met and ignores the cat.
She has not been tried with children but is very placid and could live with sensible dog savvy children over 6.
She’s still not sure what a toy is but will play with a box and has played zoomies in the garden with the resident dogs.
She currently sleeps on foster mums bed and is good all night.
She is house trained but needs a routine to keep her clean . She is let out every hour when foster mum is home she loves that she gets a treat after doing her business and will spin in circles waiting for one.
She is fine eating with other dogs and treats which she has begun to understand – but she is usually monitored when feeding to make sure she eats it all.
Sugar needs a home with a resident dog to show her the ropes. An family who will help her enjoy the outdoor world and give her time and patience to become the dog she was always meant to be.

Leo is an 8 year old pug described by his foster mum as a right little dude. He is super friendly and loving and enjoys nothing more than sitting on the sofa cuddled up to you watching TV. He enjoys attention from everyone especially visitors that he get extra tummy rubs from.
Leo is not cat or small furry tested
Leo has been around children and has been the perfect little gentleman. He has been happily interacting with children under 5 under supervision. Due to his size he could be rehomed with children 5 and over.
Leo plays with toys and is keen to play with the resident dog but as she’s an older she is not keen to interact with him.
Leo is not keen to go walkies but does like a little pootle around the block so he can be admired by the ladies and get extra pugglish attention. He does not want to go paddle boarding or spelunking but will watch these on TV with you with a cup of tea and a biscuit or two.
Leo currently sleeps on foster mums bed and sleeps all night under the duvet in foster mum’s bed. He does like a little snore so be warned.
House training is a work in progress. He knows he needs to go outside but sometimes forgets which door leads to outside. A regular routine and lots of trips to the garden will get him back on track.
Leo loves a roast dinner on a Sunday and given chance will eat the other dogs food. He came into rescue underweight which is being built up gradually.
Leo needs a home with or without a resident dog but with loving owners who are around most of the day to have a chat, a pootle and tea and biscuits. He’s not going to be able to do long walks, or long play sessions, but still wants doggy friends and lots of attention.

Toffee is a 7 year old Mini Schnauzer described by her foster mum as a having a very quiet and gentle personality. She bonds deeply with her person and loves the comfort and reassurance that it brings. She likes to follow foster mum around the house to see what is going on in case she misses out. When she is done with her bodyguard duties, she will take herself off and find a comfy space to recharge her batteries.
Toffee loves to sit with her front paws crossed and will lift her head for a kiss. If she is sitting away from you she very gently moves close to ask for attention. Visitors will initially be greeted with some barking but after a quick check with foster mum that they are allowed in and are nice she stops. She has come a long way since being in rescue, she can be scared and shy at times but with reassurance gets over this quickly.
She has learned to play with toys and likes to play with another dog in the foster home. She is gentle and not at all dominant. Sometimes she will pick up something that isn’t a toy such as socks and looks really proud of herself which is funny.
Toffee is not cat or small furry tested.
She could live with gentle children14 and over. A busy noisy household would not suit her.
She has just started going for small walks and takes courage from the resident dog. This is something her new family will need to work and build on. Watching her grow in confidence in this area brings a lot of joy.
She currently sleeps downstairs with 2 other fur friends but has slept on the bed with foster mum and thoroughly enjoyed herself.
She is well on her way to being fully house trained and this will need to continue in her forever home.
Toffee likes to eat alone , it is easy for other dogs to push her off her food, so for this reason she is feed her food separate. She is also learning what treats are and is thoroughly enjoying this new range of goodies that she has never had before.
Toffee needs a quiet home with a resident dog to show her the ropes. Owners who are around most of the time to offer reassurance and praise as her confidence grows. Watching her grow in confidence as she journeys into her forever home will be very rewarding.

Spirit & Storm are dinky 3 year old Cavalier crosses described by their foster mum as cuddly little fur babies once settled. Spirit is a little more nervous than Storm but does enjoy a fuss. Storm on the other hand will take all the love and cuddles you can give until Spirit is ready. These girls stick together most of the time and are just so cute.
They have settled really well and love a routine. They are fine with all the other dogs in their foster home and are happy to engage with them. They have been out and about and are enjoying the sniffs the world has to offer. Spirit is a bit worried of heavy traffic but with reassurance she follows her fur sister (metaphorically).
Storm barked when she saw the resident cat but Spirit is not bothered by the cat.
Both Spirit and Storm adore children. Despite being nervous around some new adults they run towards children for fusses and attention. They seem to forget that 2 seconds a go they were pretending to be nervous.
They both love toys and play with them with each other. They are not bothered if another dog takes a toy from them and will just go and choose another.
They love to curl up together in front of the fire in the evening. At 8pm all the dogs get a treat and then go out to the garden for toilet. Spirit and Storm then have a few more zzz’s in front of the fire before they toddle off together to the kitchen to cuddle up in warm beds for a sleep.
Toilet training is a work in progress. During the day, they are fine and go out to the garden when encouraged. Currently the accidents are happening overnight but these are on puppy pads.
Spirit and Storm would love a patient family home with children who are not too hectic or noisy but calm. Parents who will be patient to wait for them to gain confidence to ask for cuddles and to help and guide them. They would prefer to have someone around most of the day but as long as they have each other we are sure they will work out their own routine if left for short periods. They have never been puppies so everything is new to them so a kind loving home who lets them have their puppy stage and lots of love.
Patient, quiet home with owners around most of the time
Elvira is 7 year old bichon described by her foster mum as a very inquisitive little girl who likes to know what her human person is doing and where they are 24/7. She is very friendly and craves attention loving nothing better than having a cuddle on the sofa next to her human. She is still nervous of people outside the home due to not having had much opportunity to go out except to the vets, but is improving,
She loves other dogs and likes nothing more than climbing on top of her foster sisters ,who are bichons, and going to sleep. It doesn’t matter if her foster sister is on foster mums lap, she will still climb on top to go to sleep. She needs to find her place with other dogs as she will climb over them to get a cuddle although she is not nasty she needs to know that she can’t do this if the other dog is not happy about it
Elvie as we call her is a playful girl who loves to interact with her humans and having her belly rubbed. Her nick name is tippy toes as she does little dances of excitement when her human comes home and when she is going to be fed. She loves to watch programmes about dogs and looks at the screen intently and will sometimes bark back at the dog on screen . Elvie lives with a cat without problems but hasn’t met any other small furries.
She hasn’t met any children yet but due to her nature we recommend children 8 and over as she is a little girl she needs gentle handling.
Elvie has never known what toys are and they are still a mystery to her. She has initiated play with her foster sisters and would love another small dog to play with.
Elvira has walked in the garden with a harness on, and although she acts shy and a bit nervous, she will let you put the harness on without any trouble or fuss and walk quite happily with another dog by her side. She sleeps next to her human on the bed with the other dogs. She will expect to be allowed to do this in her new home, as she loves to be near them at all times. She has sat in a dog bed but doesn’t really use them unless there’s another in there so she can cuddle up or lay on top of.
She is very good at going into the garden to toilet when prompted or when she follows her furry foster sisters out. Like most Bichons she doesn’t like the rain so will go on a puppy pad when the weather is bad although she is learning rain won’t harm her.
Elvira gets fed on her own, she is not food aggressive but will go to see what’s left in anyone else’s dish given the chance . She is just learning that treats are good, although due to having 6 teeth out she has only just been allowed a very soft treat and is starting to take it from our hand.
Elvie would like a home with another small friendly dog that likes to cuddle and will share their human with her. She’d like her human to be around most of the day. Although only being 7 Elvira can seem a bit older when she walks or bounces along as she had no need to use her muscles in the past, but she is a fast little girl who has learnt to jump onto the sofa and uses steps to get on the bed. She’d need to have a few smaller walks so doesn’t really need a very active home. A home on the quieter side would be better for this little one. Elvira is the sweetest, gentlest little dog who will bring joy to her new family and fill their house with love.

Sydney is a super friendly 5 year old Bichon. She is described by her foster mum as a very loving, cuddly girl who enjoys the company of humans both big and small and other dogs. She’s very inquisitive so you would need to “puppy proof” your home until she settles. She loves to take socks from the washing and run off with them. Being a bichon Sydney’s dancing could get her onto Strictly and she loves to show off her beautiful teeth in a most hilarious smile.
She is good with people both big and small and has been around visiting children 5+ and lives with a 14 year old. She enjoys the company and spends a lot of her time as close as possible to people.
Sydney lacks basic manners and can be a bit of a Diva, walking over anything and anyone to get where she wants to be. She hasn’t had anyone to teach her good manners so will need some work in this area. She is very compliant and will allow you to handle her to groom, etc. She is very easy to train and is eager to get it right. She doesn’t ask for much, just a nice full belly, lots of love and another doggy to cuddle up with on your lap.
She is just starting to show a very playful nature and will need a younger companion who will be happy to play with her. She shows absolutely no aggression with toys, food or handling. She hasn’t shown any interest in toys but is developing a very playful nature with other dogs. She is very happy on a lead in the garden but has been unable to start lead walking due to her vaccination status
She will eat her meals alongside the resident dogs and has learned not to disturb the others while eating. She’s an opportunist and constantly on the lookout for tasty snacks but is very gently when being hand fed.
She travels well in the car in a carrier. Not cat or small furry tested
Sydney sleeps very well on the bed with her humans and dogs. Not interested in any of the dog beds, prefers a lap or sofa or wherever the other dogs are.
Toilet training is a work in progress and this will need to continue in the home. The delay has simply been caused by firework season. She was doing really well going out the garden to toilet then the fireworks started and has caused a backwards step, however once this settles we have full confidence that she will be fully toilet trained quickly.
Sydney’s ideal home would be with at least one other gentle, patient resident dog. She would love at least one human to give her lots of cuddles but this has to be alongside the other dog. She would enjoy the company of children 5 years and upwards who respect that she is very small and needs gentle handling. She is not a rough and tumble girl just more of a cuddle monster. She just wants to be cosy, comfortable and very loved. She loves to be pampered and enjoys being groomed and would need regular grooming to look after her curly coat. She really is the most delightful little lady who will bring great happiness and lots of love and laughs into your home.

Samara is an almost 3 year old Cavashon described by her foster mum as a lovely gentle girl who loves a lap to cuddle on. She is initially reserved when she meets you but soon warms up. She needs a resident dog to learn from but she may not initially be their best friend and cuddle.
She is not cat or small furry tested.
She can live with older sensible children
She loves pottering around the garden when its not raining and even enjoys a little sunbathe when its sunny.
She is beginning to enjoy going for a walk and walks well on a lead. She enjoys meeting new people and dogs when out and is a hit with everyone she meets with her teddy bear looks.
She is almost fully housetrained and enjoys a routine.
She is beginning to play with the other dogs and toys and is happy to amuse herself with these as long as she can see you.
She enjoys her food and is not greedy. She also likes a nice treat and is gentle taking them.
Samara currently sleeps with the other dogs and sleeps all night
Samara needs a quiet home with another dog to learn from. She can be homed with sensible children who will help her adjust to being a much loved pet. A family who will be patient and shower her with love and attention.

Hocus is a lovely little Bichon estimated by the vets to be around 7 years old. She is described as a really friendly loving little girl who wants to be with you all the time. She is a proper little shadow and doesn’t like you being out of her sight. Due to her traumatic past Hocus will bark is left on her own as she fears being abandoned again. This is being worked on but will take time as she needs to decompress and make happy memories to block out the bad.
She likes people and children but is currently not very energetic.
She has not yet found the joy in being outdoors and exploring as this is all very new to her. She is happy to have a harness and lead on but is not keen on the actual walking bit. This may take time and will need another dog for her to follow and learn from.
She is either a bit deaf or has not known enough love or attention so just ignores you. She is an insecure little girl and just needs that special family and time.
Hocus gets on with other dogs but doesn’t really interact with the dogs in foster. This could be because she is adjusting or is not keen on these other dogs. In the right home with the right family she will flourish but it will take time and patience.
Hocus eats well and enjoys her food.
Toilet training is very slow and will need to be worked on in her forever home. She needs a routine and lots of positive reinforcement when she has done good. Following another fur baby will also help. Currently she will go on a puppy pad and it can be frustrating but she needs her family’s help to learn.
Not cat or small furry tested
She currently sleeps on the bed with foster mum as she needs to know you are close. She is dry at night so is able to do it she just needs to learn how.
Hocus needs another dog to learn from. A quiet and patient home who will help her adjust to being a pet and not a money maker. She can be rehomed with sensible older children who will love her unconditionally and help her adjust. This little one just needs time, lots of love and she will flourish into the dog she was always meant to be. There will be ups and downs but it will be worth it.

Precious is exactly the right name for this big mixed breed princess. She is 3 years old and currently weighs 24KG. She is deaf and partially sighted only seeing light and dark, she is aware of movement and seems to recognise the human shape. Despite this she excellent in all ways.
Precious is very good with people in the home and out on walks. Obviously with her limited sight we make sure people approach in a sensible manner. She is very friendly and everyone who meets her falls in love. If she particularly likes someone she likes to lean into them for a fuss.
She is very independent and happily takes herself round the house. She doesn’t really play yet, although she is showing more signs of wanting to as she becomes more settled and confident. She would pinch food if left within her reach and having been a stray she is efficient in opening plastic bin bags and getting into bags / boxes if she can smell food. She’s not naughty, but rather an opportunist!
She goes to the door when she needs to go out. She comes for her food. She works her way round all of the dog beds seeing which is best but has decided the sofa is the most comfortable. She copes well with obstacles in the house.
She is currently unsure in the car and this is being worked on. She is not cat or small furry tested. She doesn’t chase the squirrels, but it’s unclear if she can see them. Because she is totally deaf and partially sighted, we wouldn’t recommend young children. Older (perhaps 11+) dog savvy children should be OK.
She is happy to have her harness put on and walks well on a lead. If she wants to go in a different direction she will pull a little on the lead, but is easy to redirect. The only time she does pull is if there is another dog running around, she can see the movement and is quite excited.
She currently sleeps downstairs and after a period of her learning where things were and making sure she was clean she now has free roam and finds the chairs and carpets comfy to sleep on.
Precious needs a very secure house and garden. She absolutely cannot hear and her sight is limited, so if she got out it would be very difficult to get her back. She learns very quickly where the doors / gates/ exits are and is very quick to go through if she wants to. Because she cannot go off lead when out on walks she would appreciate a large secure garden. She loves exploring the garden and running round. Members of the household would need to be responsible about not leaving external doors / gates open. She could be an only dog, she loves a lot of attention. Or in a home with other friendly dogs. Precious can’t see to read body language or hear to hear warning growls, so any other dog in the house would have to be gentle and laid back. All in all she is a delightful dog and, providing you understand her hearing /sight limitations and are prepared to work with her you will find Precious an asset to your family and a joy to live with.

Hocus is fine wearing a harness and lead she’s just not walking anywhere other than a few yards at the moment. She will walk to the gate on her lead but then stops as she finds the outside world a bit overwhelming. She has been carried to a local field and she has been having a quiet sniff around.
Hocus currently sleeps in the kitchen. She has an initial cry but will settle.
Hocus house training is a work in progress and she needs to be reminded to go to the garden. She needs a routine to follow and positive rewards when she has done good.
She eats well and will check other bowls to see if there are any leftovers.
Hocus needs a quiet household with people around most of time. She can live with another dog and older children. She needs a family who will help her settle into being a much loved pet.

Norma is a 7 year old Bichon described by her foster mum a big fluffy teddy bear with eyes like big chocolate buttons that melt your heart. Sometimes her eyes are sad, she’s had an awful life. Norma was rescued for a terrible situation and this is when her new life started and the search for her special family began.
Norma lives with her foster family and can sometimes be nervous of men and new people coming into her home. Sometimes she will tell them off and other times she will take herself off to her safe space to watch you from a distance. She will come out when she realises there’s nothing to be afraid of.
Norma is a cheeky little pudding and will sometimes pinch foster mums spot on the settee if shes not looking. She is also a bit of a curtain twitcher and would make an excellent member of the neighbourhood watch team. She hasn’t really played with toys but I’m sure she will in time as she does love to chew on a plastic flavoured chicken bone. Norma likes to jump onto the settee and cuddle up to the other dogs in the home. If foster mum is making a fuss of her dogs Norma comes over for a fuss and loves you to smooth her and give her a tickle behind her ears. She can sometimes be a little nervous, but when you talk to her gently, she will come to you wagging her tail. She is slowly starting to trust humans
Norma lives with a cat and pays absolutely no attention to her apart from trying to steal her food when she’s not looking
Norma needs a quiet home, so it’s best for her if she doesn’t live with children.
Norma allows foster mum to put a harness and leads on her and enjoys going out for a walk and having a sniff around, she will walk on her own or with the other dogs. She isn’t particularly fond of really loud noises as they scare her, so she is currently walked with two leads at all times in case she tries to bolt. She doesn’t pull and is a pleasure to walk.
Norma sleeps upstairs and is dry all night sleeping at the side of the bed with the other dogs. When she wants to get up she will put a paws on the bed and start tapping for you wake up but if you would like a lie in, she will go back to bed. She is so cute in the morning it’s like being woken up by a real life teddy bear.
Norma loves her food and absolutely loves dinner time waiting patiently with the other dogs. Her favourite treat by far is cheese, although she is partial to a banana. On Sunday when foster mum makes lunch, she enjoys raw carrot, raw, broccoli, and raw cauliflower. The way to Norma’s heart is definitely food.
Norma needs a quiet home with patient, kind, loving and understanding owners with not too many visitors, who will allow her as much time as she needs for her to overcome her insecurities and come out of her shell. She would need at least one doggy friend but the more the merrier. She doesn’t need a particularly active home she’s quite content but does enjoy a walk. It would be lovely for Norma to experience all that life has to offer. She has never been to the beach or on a doggy holiday this would be absolutely amazing for her to experience, she also loves a lovely soft warm bed and chair that she can jump on to carry on her neighbourhood watch duties. Oh and don’t forget the cheese.

Misty is a 4 Year old cocker spaniel described by her foster mum as very loving. She loves to be close to her humans and have cuddles. She is playful but not quite sure how to play and is just discovering toys. She has settled well with other dogs and is quickly learning how to behave. She can be a bit nervous of new situations but responds well to encouragement and praise. She is happy to jump onto the sofa and have cuddles and responds to commands such as ‘wait’, ‘leave’ etc and is ready to learn more.
She has not bothered with the resident cat in her foster home.
Not child tested but so friendly and playful would be ok with any age children as long as they give her space and time to settle.
Misty is just learning to play with toys. She loves to shred paper and is just learning from the other dogs how to play with toys. Misty would love someone to teach her how to play.
Misty has been on short walks on lead and harness. The whole world is new to her so she is slow and likes to sniff and explore. She is responsive to calling her name and telling her ‘stay close’ if a bit nervous. She is excited to have her harness on and wants to try out everything going.
Misty sleeps downstairs with the other dogs. She has a choice of sofas and dog beds.
House training is a work in progress and she is starting to learn that she gets lots of praise for going to toilet in the garden. There have been a few accidents but this is to be expected. She does start circling when she wants a wee so is taken outside and praised for going. She is getting there but will need some help to learn fully.
Misty eats away from the other dogs and is learning to eat her own food. She is great at taking treats, she knows each dog has their own treat and will take hers off to a safe space to enjoy. She is just starting to learn to sit to take a treat. She is starting to learn to respect others around food and has already learnt her food is safe and she is not to bother other dogs when they are eating.
Misty would love an active home with people around most of the time to give her cuddles and introduce her to fun activities. She would love to be with another confident and friendly dog to play with and show her how to behave properly. She would benefit enormously from going to training classes as she is so eager to please. Misty can grumble at times at other dogs, but that is just jealousy, she wants all the attention on her and needs to learn to share love and she is slowly starting to learn this. She shows no aggression, just a grumble. Misty love to cuddle and give kisses. She would be happy in an active home with a lot of love, patience, fun times and lots of cuddles.
Could be an only dog or live with another calm laid back female who does not mind sharing

He does not interact with the resident dog and shows very little interest in play but does like to bury himself amongst blankets which is a Dachshund trait.
Casper walks well on a collar and lead but needs a lot of encouragement as he is very nervous of people, dogs and traffic.
He currently sleeps in foster mums bed he does not like sleeping on his own.
Casper is full house trained but like all little assuaged be prepared to hold his paw with an umbrella if its raining.
He came into foster a little underweight but is beginning to eat well and now looks forward to his meals. There are no issues with food.
Casper would like a quiet home with people who have cuddles in abundance. He is not particularly active as yet as walks have been restricted due to neutering.

Clara is estimated to be around 5 years old and is a nervous Bichon who is very much a work in progress. As an ex breeder her view of the world was very limited with no love given. Her world has now been turned upside down so she is trying to find where she fits into it. Having rescued too many to count like Clara we know that as fosterers we have done all we can now and she needs to grow in her forever home with her special family. Anyone who has adopted an ex breeder knows the very familiar one step forward and two back that this journey will be, but it will be so worth it. To see her blossom into the princess she should have always been is just so rewarding.
Clara is nervous of people and her first instinct is to stay away and avoid any contact at present. Her foster family allowed her time to decompress and think about the world and now she is starting to become more at ease with them but eye contact, unexpected movement, loud sounds all overwhelm her and she will seek a safe space to work things out. Her new family will need to ensure they put no pressure on Clara until she shows an interest in them. This is going to be all on her terms.
Despite this Clara is far more relaxed in the garden with the resident dogs. Her tail goes up and she’s even had a few little rolls in the grass! She hasn’t met any people outside her foster family yet.
Clara is at the very beginning of her journey and is learning that she is now safe and has just recently given gentle licks to foster mum’s hand in the morning. She will need her humans to have patience and give her all the time she needs to venture into her new family life. She is such a lovely, gentle girl, the rewards for her forever family will be just wonderful.
Clara takes no notice at all of her foster family’s cat.
Foster mum feels that an adult only home is the best environment to help Clara feel safe and secure.
Clara hasn’t shown an interest in playing with toys yet, but will sometimes rest her head on soft toys when placed in her bed. She is beginning to follow the resident dogs outside, sniffing and exploring, and will watch them playing together.
Clara will let foster mum put harness on, and attach a lead but will pull away and try to escape if any pressure is put on it. This is all new to her and it’s going to take time. Her first reaction is flight, her forever family will need to slowly help her learn to trust them and to believe that she is now safe and sound.
Clara sleeps right through the night in a dog bed next to foster parent’s bed.
Clara is clean overnight and toilets in the garden, She does not ask to be let out but will go into the garden if the door is open.
Clara eats separately from the resident dogs at present due to her nervousness, but will now eat her food with foster mum sitting quietly in the same room. She is learning how lovely treats are, and will now accept little bits of chicken, ham and cheese from foster mum’s hand. She has never shown any resource guarding over food.
Clara needs a quiet, calm home environment where her new family have experience in nurturing and caring for frightened, rescued souls like gentle Clara. An adult only home would be best, with a gentle, calm dog to help Clara learn that her new humans are kind and loving, and to help her learn how wonderful a dog’s life can be. She will need access to a completely secure garden, with no chance of escape. It’s also important for someone to be home most of the time to help Clara form a positive and bonding relationship.

Sooty is a 3 year old Maltese cross described by his foster mum as a special little man who absolutely adores humans. He gets so excited when he meets new people and will jump and bark in excitement licking your face to show you how pleased he is to meet you. He soon settles but will still like to sit on your lap and snuggle in.
Sooty is a cuddly boy that loves nothing more than snuggling on his humans lap or going for walks. He is fine wearing a harness and lead and loves to have walks and explore the outside world. As soon as he sees the lead he gets so excited and jumps around eager to go.
Sooty is fine with cats in the garden in his foster home but is not currently living with any.
Sooty loves everyone and would be fine being rehomed with gentle children that respect him and are not to heavy handed.
He loves to play with toys but he prefers his humans to play with him and throw toys for him.
Sooty sleeps on his foster mums bed and he sleeps all night.
Sooty is not 100% toilet trained but he is learning to go outside when taken regularly.
Sooty is fine eating around other dogs but can be a bit fussy with his food. He prefers chicken but will eat wet food at a push.
Sooty is looking for a home that will totally love him and enjoy snuggling as much as him. Someone who is home most of the time and someone who is willing to take him on daily walks so he can explore the outside world. He can be rehomed as an only dog or with another dog.

Jolene is a 3 year old Pug who loves everyone! She gives lots of kisses on your face, hands or even feet! She gets all excited around new people and does a little ‘happy dance’.
Veterinary history to be discussed but she had to have an eye removed which is completely healed and doesn’t bother her.
Jolene is a very sweet girl who loves company in the house. She likes to follow you around everywhere and she likes sleeping at your feet when you are sat at a table/desk. If you get up you can guarantee she is coming too. When she is ready for a nap, she will snuggle up with you and will nestle right into you, or she’ll find a good spot to stretch out. She suckles on beds/blankets/cushions and kneads them for comfort.
She likes to have things to do and enjoys licki mats and playing with soft toys. She enjoys watching the TV too and will tilt her head side to side listening!
She is not cat tested but she LOVES to chase birds in the garden so we think she would chase cats..
She is a typical pug bouncy and a bit of bulldozer despite her small size! She can also be a bit mouthy when playing which is just over excitement. Due to this we think she would probably be better off with slightly older, sensible children.
Jolene loves playing with soft toys and will play by herself.
She is great with harness and lead on and gets excited when she sees it or you say walkies! She has been practicing in the garden but will need reminding of some manners on the lead, she is mostly good but gets over excited and pulls/barks. She has started going walkies and this is improving daily.
She currently sleeps downstairs on a dog bed, but she would be just as at home on the bed!
She is mostly clean in the house. She has had the odd accident – she isn’t good at letting you know when she needs to go, so will need reminding of this.
She is a typical pug and loves her food. She will grumble if another dog approaches her when she is eating. No problem when fed separately and she hasn’t approached the resident dog whilst he is eating. She is fine with treats and chews and would eat any sort of human food if left unattended.
Jolene is so easy going she would fit into any home. She ideally needs someone around most the time who appreciates her pug-ness. Someone who has the time to put in some training. Apart from that she would settle into most homes well as long as there is love and food. She is a bit of a ladies man and could live with a male dog.

Luna is 6 year old Staffy that came into foster due to having a pyometra and had to have emergency surgery- she still has stitches and is on limited exercise till she fully recovers but is doing great and feeling so much better. Despite having gone through so much she is a super happy girl.
Luna is a very content young lady. She is a waggy tailed staffy in the house and is always happy to see you and may even sing to say hello to you when she is in the mood.
Luna is a very good house guest, she is calm in the house, loves zoomies in the garden and loves a cuddle but will also put herself to bed when she’s had enough.
Luna ignores the resident house cat, outside she would chase a cat but could live with one with careful introductions.
Luna would be fine with children, she can be boisterous with toys but has a lovely nature.
Luna loves a tennis ball, she can get over excited and start barking when she sees one but she’s very playful with toys.
Out and about Luna can be a bit of a puller initially but soon calms down on a walk and walks well.
She currently sleeps in the kitchen at night with a baby gate across that she seems fine with.
House trained.
Luna loves her food and treats.
Luna would like an active home with people home during the day to give her company, a home ideally without other dogs but she could live with a calmer older dog. She just prefers her own space indoors and can be boisterous when playing so would benefit from a one on one home but equally she lives happily with other dogs in foster so with the right match she could be homed with another dog. A home that will appreciate it’s been a lot of change for Luna recently as she might take time to settle.

He’s a work in progress and will need patience and time
Bodger is a 2 year old Mini Dachshund who is currently very unsure of his place in the world. Once he trusts you, he bonds very quickly and gives loving bumps with his nose when he wants attention. In the home with his person he is settled but if any strangers come to visit then his nervous side shows by him barking and growling. This is being managed by placing him in a cage (his safe space) allowing him to think about his behaviour and learn that people are not there to hurt him. Once he is calm the door is opened and he can choose if he wants to say hello or not.
He is happy wearing a harness and lead but due to his nervous nature he has not yet been taken out on walks. He is improving every day and there is nothing more his foster mum can teach him now. He needs to continue his lessons in his forever home and bond with his forever family. Once he feels safe his character starts to show and just like an onion, he has many layers, these are going to need time and patience to be peeled back allowing him to be the happy little fur baby he always should have been.
Bodger being the good little sausage that he is loves his bed and falls asleep with it in his mouth for comfort. He loves toys and to play and really loves being in the garden exploring. He will play with other dogs but can take it or leave it preferring to be with his human.
Bodger does not like cats and is not keen on small people. He can be rehomed with older sensible teens but anything smaller really worries him.
He currently sleeps in his bed in a cage (his safe place) in foster mums bedroom and dreams of chasing squirrels at night. He loves his food but is not a greedy little sausage and is happy to eat with others around. He also takes a treat nicely.
Bodger in true sausage style is house trained but if its raining you are going with him with a big umbrella so he doesn’t get wet.
Bodger is very much a work in progress he has clearly had an unsettled past which has led him to distrust people and afraid that they are going to harm him. He can be homed with another dog or as an only dog as long as his human is there to support him. He is not going to be good in a busy household and needs lots of quiet time for his worries to subside. When he realises he’s safe he’s very loving and cuddly but feels better when he knows his boundaries and routine.
