Roxy is a lovely girl. Young and energetic she loves attention and loves to play ball. She can be excitable at food times and walk times, but responds very well to a calm, firm voice. She is very affectionate and demands a lot of affection from her human. She is most happy sitting on a lap with her paws on your chest, staring into your eyes
People: Roxy is a feisty girl. She craves attention from her foster mum but isn’t very keen on foster dad, but this is improving every day. She is very wary of foster dads’ feet and hands – jumping backwards if he gets too near too quickly. She won’t walk beside him and won’t accept petting from him unless he’s sitting down, and then only her terms. This will need plenty of time and patience from any potential home.
Can live with children: Roxy is energetic and feisty. She can be mouthy so older active children would be best or an adult only household.
Can live with dogs: She doesn’t like the other dogs getting close to me. She gets very excitable and will physically push them away using herself as a shield between them and me. We are working hard to remedy this. She is learning to play with the other dogs but is very obviously not used to being with other dogs. Her foster Brother loves her but it’s not really reciprocated. She will always choose her foster Mum as her companion over the other dogs, but she’s learning to cooperate more. She is not aggressive in any way towards other dogs either inside or outside our home environment.
Can live with cats: Roxy is ok with our dog savvy cat but can’t resist chasing him. He will tell her off as necessary.
Out and about: Roxy walks well on a lead and is ok off lead in a secure area. Her recall is getting better. She travels well in the car.
In the home: Roxy is clean in the house. No accidents at all since coming to us. She likes her own space so sleeps in her own crate overnight, with her own blanket and toys. During the day she will sleep on a sofa and in her basket – sometimes letting the other dogs share with her if they climb in, but she will seldom choose to get and occupied basket herself. She needs lots of exercise and lots of brain work. She loves a ball and loves destroying soft toys. She doesn’t destroy anything else and learns very quickly. Her favourite game is tug. She loves her food now that she is on raw. She has shed weight and now has a beautiful shape; she is graceful on her feet now she is carrying less weight. Due to lockdown Roxy has not been left alone.
Type of home: At the moment we feel she would thrive as an only dog, but given plenty of time she will adapt to live with other dogs and learn to share her humans. She’s a beautiful girl and an absolute delight to have around.
Roxy is not neutered or vaccinated at the moment due to restrictions within our vets, once these have been lifted all these will be completed.
Potential adopters would be expected to travel to South Wales to meet her.
Bella is a very sweet girl ,very affectionate, loves to play, relaxed with other dogs, enjoys food ,would be good with or without children, Bella loves to be around people, so would be best not left for long times, would be good with or without other dogs, Bella would thrive in a home that has a good balance of attention on her, Bella likes walks, and is friendly ,this could do with some work, she is house trained but has a few accidents this is rare, this sweet little girl deserves to be adored for the rest of her life, what you give this little one, you will get back and so much more.
People: Bella loves being touched, she enjoys being groomed, bathed and is good when cutting.
Can live with children: Bella likes children, so children over six who will respect Bella while she is learning and adjusting to her new family.
Can live with cats: Not cat tested
Can live with dogs: Bella is living with 5 other dogs in her foster home, we would consider rehoming her to a home without dogs.
In the home: Bella isn’t food aggressive, travels well with her bed and safety click, Bella loves playing with toys and other dogs. She likes to sleep in many places, dog beds, sofa, and on the human bed. Bella would like a home with someone home most of the day as she loves human contact.
Out and about: Bella travels well in the car, she is good with other people, walking is a work in progress, Bella has a good recall while using a training lead but has not been let off yet.
Type of home: Bella would suit a home that has lots of time and love to share, she is such an affectionate girl, loving as much human contact as possible. She would suit someone who is home most of the day and has time take her on daily walks.
Bella is fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment, she has not been neutered yet due to the Covid-19 restrictions within our vets, this will be done once restrictions are lifted.
Potential adopters would be expected to travel to South Wales to meet her.
WILL NEED TO BE REHOMED WITH AT LEAST ONE RESIDENT DOG.
Health Issues: No known health conditions
Arabella is an ex breeding girl. She is a larger size cavalier but believes she is a lot smaller, she is a complete goofball and although still scared at times is a loving loyal girl that like to be besides you always.
People: Arabella can be a scared little girl that is desperate for human love. Slow interactions are important as she is scared at first by touch but will warm to you once she trusts you. Arabella does not like being groomed or showered and will wriggle and run to hide but over time I think she will learn to be brave so time and patience is a must.
Can live with children: Arabella is quite a scared girl at times and sudden movements and sudden loud noises scare her and she will run to hide. Arabella would not be happy living with young boisterous toddlers/children, gentle older children would suit her better. Arabella is desperate to explore and be the dog she should of been so a family that has Time for her to be able to explore and learn, patience to show her what she’s missing and lots of love so she knows humans are good is also a must.
Can live with cats: Yes,She is not interested in the cat living in her foster home.
Can live with other dogs: Arabella will snuggle up next to her foster sister and brother and will enjoy exploring in the garden with them, but her main choice to follow around is her foster mum. She will bark at the neighbour’s dog when she comes to the fence but it’s more of an excitement bark as her tail will wag like she’s going to take off and she will run up and down with excitement. Although Arabella is quite laid back and very into her humans. I think that she would b better rehomed with another dog as not only will they help her feel safe, they also help with her separation anxiety not returning And she still also has lots of things to learn from them.
In the home: Arabella is 100 % toilet trained and dry through the night. She hasn’t yet learnt how to tell her foster mum she needs to go out if the door is closed, so she has had one or two accidents due to this. Arabella has never used a crate in her foster home as she prefers to sleep on the settee with her foster brother and sister. She sleeps on her foster mums’ bed and sleeps all night. Arabella is not destructive but does love a dirty sock, she will steal her foster dads dirty work socks and loves to chew holes in the heels. Arabella loves her food and is currently enjoying being on a raw nugget diet. She had a problem with bad flatulence on dry food and this has now Disappeared. She does not have any aggression with food or toys, she is a gentle soul. She doesn’t play with toys due to not knowing how but I think she would love to learn. She will randomly go and get a teddy toy and carry it to the settee, maybe to mother. When Arabella came to her foster mum, she suffered with separation anxiety, when her foster mum would leave the room or go out she would cry and howl. But with time and Patience Arabella is now happy to be left home with her foster brother and sister, and No longer gets upset being left. She has been left for a few hours and she will sleep until her foster mum comes back.
Out and about: Unfortunately, due to Arabella not being up to date with her vaccinations and being in season 2 days after she came to we foster mum, she has not been out on a walk. taking her to the vets previously though she walked beautiful on the lead.
Arabella is not neutered or fully vaccinated as yet due to restrictions regarding Covid-19 but is up to date with flea and worming treatment.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to South Wales to meet her.
Due to covid19 and the current lockdown across the country, we are unable to process applications and rehome any of our dogs until the crisis is over.

Name: Holly
Age: 5 years
Breed: Shih tzu
Fostered: South Wales
Holly is a quiet girl that is quite unassuming in the house. She loves her toys and likes them to be thrown for her to chase. She loves running around the house and the garden and doesn’t like being confined to one space. She doesn’t bark very often and gives little cries or whimpers if she wants something, such as food or the toilet. She dreams on que every night around 9.30 where she runs and talks in her sleep for a few minutes. Holly has quite a sad looking face but is a content and happy girl as long as she has her toys and human around her. She is not a lap dog but will lay near you on the sofa and will be picked up for a cuddle and follow you all over the house. She does not respect your privacy at all. She will jump up on you for reassurance every now and then, in the house and out for walks but settles happily after a fuss. She is a bit of a princess and will not cooperate with having her photo taken when she doesn’t want to. She is a darling little girl and that little face will melt your heart.
Health Issues: Holly has a sunken left eye, there is no sight as eye not developed properly. This causes no problems at the moment.
People: Holly prefers women to men and can bark and at them but this is improving all the time. Doesn’t like being groomed but will tolerate a brush and wash. She will come up to be fussed and cuddled when she is wanting to otherwise she is just quiet on her own. She likes to be stroked.
Can live with children: No children as she has not interacted with any. Older teenage females would be OK.
Can live with cats: Yes, she is in a foster home with a cat and takes no notice of it. Not tested with other animals
Can live with other dogs: She can be feisty and try to overtake the other dogs in the foster home especially the male dog. She tries to get to other dogs out on a walk as she’s really interested in them. She can be choosy if she likes them or not so adopter needs to be aware of this. She would benefit from a female confident dog and would need to be homed with another dog. Not a smaller dog.
In the home: She is fully house trained, Holly will give a little cry to let you know when she wants to go out. Holly sleeps quietly on her foster Mums bed at night. She loves toys and collects them and has them all over the house. She has favourites she loves us to throw and play chase with. Never been crated. Holly loves her food and is not food or toy aggressive and will not share her toys. Holly has never been left more than 4 hours and is very happy to see her foster family when they come back home. She is not destructive but will pinch socks to chew.
Out and about:. Holly loves her walks and is interested in everything around her. She will try and run and hasn’t been off lead unless in a secure field. Holly travels well In the car and is fine at the vets.
Type of home: Holly can take her time to settle around men so would need an understanding home allowing her time and patience. She can bark and growl at males and is not interested in bonding with them. Holly would benefit from someone home most of the day and someone willing to put the work in to gain her trust and not expect her to walk off lead for a long time. She’s quite happy sleeping but would benefit an active home where they enjoy the out doors. She would benefit from having a playful dog around her own age.
Holly is neutered, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worming treatment.
Pebbles is a bouncy young dog who loves everyone. He loves
a play in the garden or a run about with his brothers and sisters but also
likes to cuddle on your lap once tired. Pebbles is very friendly and affectionate
is happy to be groomed.
Health Conditions: Pebbles has had his back leg amputated,
there are no ongoing health issues.
Can live
with children: Pebbles loves children and
could live with older children as he’s quite big and bouncy so could knock a
toddler over.
Can live
with cats: Not cat tested but shows no
interest in small furies.
Can live
with other dogs: Pebbles has lots of doggy
friends as well as living with a variety of breeds and sizes. He gets on well
with everyone.
In the
home: Pebbles is toilet trained but
needs regular toilet breaks. He sleeps quietly in the kitchen overnight with
other dogs for company. He’s not destructive at all so there’s no need to
crate. Pebbles loves his food and toys but is not aggressive at all and likes
others to play with him
Out and
About: Pebbles
initially gets excited going for a walk but quickly settles into a steady pace.
He’s currently walking for about 20-30 minutes at a time which is enough for
him.
Type of home:
Pebbles
would suit a variety of homes. A garden for him to play in and a sofa for him
to cuddle up on once tired. He would like another dog for company, but this
isn’t essential if you are at home during the day and he has the opportunity to
play with other dogs. He can be left for a few hours at a time with no issues.
Pebbles is up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatment. He is also spayed. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to South Wales to him.
Due to covid19 and the current lockdown across the country, we are unable to process applications and rehome any of our dogs until the crisis is over.
I come with five weeks insurance from Agria Pet Insurance.
Mabel is a beautiful girl. She arrived from Turkey in
February 2020. Her owner is terminally ill and didn’t want her to be left in
Turkey when she passes away.
Mabel was quite bewildered when she arrived in Foster care. She was very
nervous and jumped at the slightest noise. She was very wary of adult males and
has barked and growled at them, although she’s much better now as she gets used
to her new surround dings and feels a little less scared.
Can live
with children: Mabel interacts well with
children in the home and loves being petted and talked to. Small children and
or babies could be knocked over inadvertently by her as she is a little clumsy.
She is quite protective of adult females when adult males arrive on the scene.
She has barked and growled previously but is improving.
Can live
with cats: Mabel has not been cat tested
but reacts excitedly towards small flurries.
Can live
with other dogs: Mabel can be quite wary of
dogs we see in the park. If approached by any large dog, she will bark
aggressively at them, because you can see that she is scared. She is
considerably better with dogs on the lead, as long as they don’t get too close.
In the
home: Mabel is calm in the family
home. She is house trained. She sleeps on a dog bed in a bedroom or in the lounge.
She hasn’t been crated. She has recently started playing with toys and
particularly likes squeaky toys. She eats kibble with a little tinned food
added and she has a good appetite. Mabel is not toy or food aggressive but has
not been tested with other animals. She is usually well behaved when left up to
four hours and doesn’t destroy things.
Out and
About: Mabel enjoys going out on the
lead. However, she will react defensively if other dogs come too close.
Type of
home: I believe that Mabel would
benefit from an experienced owner, who is patient and kind, and can take her on
long walks. It would be useful if they’ve had experience with dogs from other counties
or would be happy to research them. If there are adult males within the family
unit, they would agree to be aware of her nervousness and be happy to modify
their behaviour accordingly.
Mable will need a lot of patience and understand when she
leaves her foster home so please be mindful of this when applying.
Mable is up
to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatment. She is also spayed.
Fizz is beginning to be a very sweet and cheeky girl. She’s
still quite wary of humans and will scuttle to jump on sofa if her foster mum
walks into the room but she is at least jumping down from sofa while she is sat
next to her. She will come and lay her head on your lap once she trusts you and
her favourite evening pastime is bringing soft toys from toybox up onto the
sofa where she will happily chew them. She will also roll a tennis ball along
with her nose but can be destructive and tear covering off them much to Alfie
her foster brothers disgust as he’s very particular about his balls! She loves
to be cuddled and will lie across my lap for as long as I let her.
Can live with children: Yes
Can live with cats: Fizz lives with a cat who is very
tolerant of dogs and totally unafraid so she does her best to ignore him
especially when he sits close to her on the sofa. She’s not brave enough to
turf him out of her bed though.
Can live with other dogs: She loves the resident dog
and will cuddle up to him whenever he permits which is surprisingly often with
her. She’s quite comfortable with all dogs outside and has not shown any
aggression either towards dogs or people. I think she definitely needs another
dog as she takes her cues from Alfie. Today she managed to go outside over the
threshold without having to be carried with the help of Alfie who she followed.
PROGRESS. Once out she walks very well on the lead.
In the home: She has had only a couple of accidents in the house but hasn’t asked to go out yet although accidents have been by doors to garden on puppy pads. She sleeps on the sofa now that she’s getting braver and always sits up to greet her foster mum in the morning. At the moment Fizz loves to lounge on the sofa but will get down for water and occasionally eats her food by the waterbowl which is in the lounge. She eats everything she’s given and has shown no food or toy aggression thus far. She has occasionally been left her on her own for up to an hour particularly if it’s raining as she hates getting wet and have left her with Alfie for up to three hours with no problems.
Out and about: We are still waiting for the tail to go completely up on walks – it’s about half-mast at the moment which is an improvement on completely tucked under. She was very reluctant to leave the house initially so she had to carry her until her foster mum felt she would cope. She’s now following Alfie out but is still wary. She travels in the boot of the car with Alfie but is often sick even on short journeys. The calming spray seems to help but doesn’t work every time. She was fine at the vets.
Type of home: Fizz will need a calm, quiet home with
another dog to learn from. She will need lots of tlc and attention as she likes
to be touching either a dog or a human when she’s relaxing.
Fizz is neutered, fully vaccinated and up to date with flea
and worming treatment.
Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet Worcester
Health Issues; Maisie had quite bad
teeth when she came to us but has since had a dental and some teeth removed.
She has a stage 3 heart murmur, but no medication required.
Maisie is
a very soft, kind, loving soul with huge amounts of love to give. She is a
quiet little girl, only heard her bark once and even then it was a quiet sweet
little bark. She loves a cuddle, on the sofa or in bed she’s not fussy where,
as long as you are close by. don’t leave your seat for more than 30 seconds
because she loves a nice warm chair.
When not cuddling Maisie really enjoys a leisurely stroll and investigate in
the garden, shes a real lady and doesn’t like to be rushed.
she is
sat on your lap whilst being brushed. Not overly keen on having her nails
clipped but that will Maisie loves to be fussed by everyone. She has shown fear
towards 1 of my adult sons friends who is over 6 foot tall but very quickly
calmed once he sat down and showed he was no threat. She loves to be brushed,
even more so if come with time and trust.
Can live with children: Maisie is wonderful the
9year old she lives with and his friends, the more kind gentle hands the better
but I do not think she would like young fast noisy children. We haven’t been
for walks due to vaccinations but she greats other dogs and people in a
friendly way when we have been at the vets.
Can live with Cats. Not tested with cats.
Inquisitive about rabbit and rat but no aggression shown.
Can live with other
dogs: Maisie
is 1 of 8 in her foster home and is comfortable with all of the other dogs,
large and small. I think Maisie would be great with other dogs or as an only
dog as long as she wasn’t left alone for too long, she loves too be close and
have company.
In the home: Maisie is very good in
the house, no destructive behaviour at all, she does have the occasional wee
accident if she has been rushed in from the garden. She sleeps on the landing
with 4 other dogs, sometimes in the big bed with another and sometimes in a bed
on her own. She goes in a crate when her foster Mum is out. She does love to
chew a toy bone but hasn’t played with any others. Maisie loves her food. Never
shown any aggression towards people or around toys or food.
Out and about: Walks well on lead
when going to vet and a little nervous in the vets but generally ok. Travels
well in car.
Type of home: Maisie deserves a
quietish cuddly family with enough space in the garden for investigating and
exploring. A nice little space on the sofa and a blanket to cwtch on colder
days. A family that will take her for walks at her pace and give her the time
and patience she deserves.
Maisie is fully
vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment.
Potential adopters would be expected to travel to South Wales to meet her.
Health Issues: Hydrocephalus, however
no neurological signs are shown, head does not appear excessively domed.
Can live with
children: Sue
is currently in foster with a 9 year old.
Can live with Cats: Cats yes. Other small
furries we are unsure.
Can live with other dogs: Yes Sue needs another dog in her home.
Sue is comfortable around the dogs in her foster home and will play with them, but will take herself off by herself when she wants too.
She was
very closed off when she came into foster.. She would not look at you, avoided
people no tail wagging. Every day she has improved. She is a real character,
she loves floppy toys and takes them all to one place where she likes to store
them. She will come to us now, constantly wags her tail. She is fostered with a
9 year old child, dogs and cats. She will allow contact and to be groomed,
however it will take time for her to learn to enjoy the contact. She has come
on so much in 2 weeks.
In the home: Sue eats well, plays
with toys, not been destructive so far, is crated when out. She comes up to bed
with us and my dogs, however she sleeps on a blanket on the floor
Out and about: Sue is fine at the
vets. Travels well in the car. Walks will take time as she was very closed off
when she came into foster.
Type of home: Sue would fit into any
home really. She is very good all round dog.
Sue is fully
vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment.
Potential adopters would be expected to travel to South Wales to meet her
Can live with children: She hasn’t been around young children whilst with her foster home but I’m sure she would be exactly the same with them as she is with people.
Can live with Cats: She hasn’t been cat
tested but takes no notice of the cats she’s seen in the vets.
Can live with other
dogs: She
gets on well with the dogs here and those she meets when out and about. She
does cuddle with the dogs here, but her number one priority is that have
someone she can snuggle with.
Sugarplum
is a very special, happy little girl. She is extremely affectionate and loves
nothing
more than
to cuddle or just sit close to you. She has a soft mouth and takes treats very
gently.
In the home: Sugarplum is
housetrained and sleeps on the bed with her foster mum and the other dogs. She
is not destructive but will walk over the coffee table if she gets the chance.
She eats very well and is not food or toy possessive. She’s fine being left for
up to four hours without any problems. She does like to sit by the window and
watch the world go by.
Out and about: Sugarplum likes her
walks and meeting people, she travels well in a crate. She loves going to the
vets because she gets loads of fuss there!
Type of home: Sugarplum would like a
home where there is someone to make a big fuss of her. Ideally she would love
to be a lap dog. She could live with respectful children but probably not
younger than 7 purely because she’s so small. She would make an ideal family dog.
Sugarplum
is Neutered, fully vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming
treatment.
Potential adopters would be expected to travel to Stourbridge to meet her.
Margaret is a 6-year old Schnauzer s, who is being fostered in South Wales. She is an ex-breeding girl who is just getting used to living in a home and gaining trust from people instead of fearing them. She loves all the home comforts and is gaining in confidence daily.
People – Margaret is still very nervous around people, new things
and new sounds. She is very sweet and loving in nature but does appreciate
slower and calmer movements so any children will have to understand this and be
sensible and old enough to treat her accordingly.
Dogs – Margaret does need at least one other dog to live with as they
teach her how to be a normal dog and give her more confidence.
Cats – Not cat tested
In the home – Margaret has made herself at home. She enjoys
sleeping on the sofa and in her dog bed. Sometimes if she wants some peace she
will sleep with the other dog in her kitchen but does have free reign in the
house. Margaret isn’t destructive but does like tags on clothing, which she
will nibble. Due to having 16 teeth removed Margaret is on wet food, which
makes it easier at the moment, although dry food could be introduced as she
heals. Margaret is partly housetrained but her adopters will be expected to
have patience and understanding to help her get into a new routine
Out and about – Margaret
doesn’t travel well out of a crate and does get travel sick on longer journeys.
She is frightened at the vets so foster mum wraps her in a blanket to help her
feel safer. She copes well as long as she has her human’s support.
Type of home – Margaret
is looking for a new home that will have at least one other dog for company.
She took a while to settle in her busy foster home and would be happy in a
quieter home. She would love her humans to be home for most of the day to help
her with her housetraining and general socialisation. Experience with
ex-breeding dogs would be beneficial so her fears can be understood.
Margaret is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea
and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet
her in her foster home in South Wales.
Three-year old
Jelly Beans is a confident, happy and affectionate Pug, who is being fostered
in South Wales. She loves cuddles and enjoys the company of older, sensible
children.
People – Jelly
loves all humans, she is a very friendly girl who enjoys meeting new people.
She is happy to be bathed and groomed and is a real cuddle monster. Jelly is
great around children and loves to play and sit on their laps. She may be a
little boisterous for younger children but has a very loving, kind
nature, however, may lick her humans to death.
Dogs – Jelly is fine with other dogs and loves
to run around, play and snuggle up next to them. Jelly needs another active,
young dog for company. On walks Jelly gets excited when she sees people and
dogs and in safe spaces can be left off the lead to run around and play.
Cats – Jelly
happily lives with 2 dog savvy cats in her foster home.
In the home – Jelly is
housetrained and will toilet on walks and in the garden. Jelly gets anxious and
barks if apart from the humans at night so sleeps in the bedroom, sometimes on
her own bed or when foster mum is sleeping sneaks up onto the human bed
Out and about
– Jelly is wonderful company on walks,
she has boundless energy and must be walked at least an hour a day. Jelly
travels well in the car and gets very noisy and excited until the car starts
moving. Jelly travels strapped in but could probably do with a crate to travel
in as she gets very excited and will race around the car if given the
opportunity. She is very well behaved at the vets and loves to socialise
with the other dogs and people in the waiting room
Type of home – Jelly
needs a very active home with people who will walk with her regularly and find
lots of time for cuddles. Jelly can be left up to 5 hours with another dog for
company, she initially gets anxious when her humans go out but soon settles
down.
Jelly Beans is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales
Katy is a loving little dog who is happy to cuddle up with us. She likes to be fussed and is happy to be groomed. She is a little timid but has improved greatly over past weeks. She will make a lovely companion for another dog and she is getting better with her recall. She will be greatly missed when she goes to her forever home.
People – . She is still nervous of people she doesn’t know, but she’s happy
being fussed and groomed. She is happy with our grandchildren, the youngest
being 8. Not sure how she would be with toddlers. Sudden noises make her jump
and wary.
Dogs – She
is fine with our dogs and is well behave a the vet, but haven’t tried her on
walks yet.. She would definitely benefit from living with another dog.
Cats – Not tested
In the home – Katy loves to snuggle up with us on the sofa, I think she feels the
sofa is her safe place. She sleeps in the kitchen with our 3 dogs; usually
cwtched up to one of them. She doesn’t use or need a crate. She has a good
appetite and eats well, she is nervous when eating, she seems to worry another
dog will steal her food. She has improved on this issue recently. She is
housetrained but does have the occasional mishap. She has not played with toys
yet and she’s not food aggressive. We can leave her for a few hours without any
problem.
Out and about – She is fine at the vets, they think she’s wonderful.
Type of home – I would recommend a home that has another dog/dogs.
Katy is neutered, fully vaccinated and
microchipped. She is also up to date with flea and worming treatment.
Any potential adopters would be expected to travel to South Wales to meet Katy.
Betsi is 4 year old puppy farm rescue that will need to be
rehomed with another dog. Betsi is a wonderful little dog that is very nervous
around people but will come for a cuddle once she knows she can trust you. She doesn’t
like sudden movements so having a calm environment is a must. Experience shows
that this gets better over time. Betsi relies on the company of the other dogs
in her foster home and is learning how to play lovely. She is very food orientated
and knows when meal times are. Toilet training is ongoing and she is still
having the occasional accident and this is improving daily. Betsi cannot be
homed with young children and she needs someone around most of the day. She can
be left for short periods and will happily cuddle up with the other dogs. She
is not destructive. Betsi loves exploring on her walks and gets excited at meal
times. She travels well in the car and there has been no issues when visiting
the vets.
Molly is a 2 year old westie cross who is a happy
excitable little girl that loves attention. She loves to be out walking,
playing with her toys or laying on the sofa. At home she loves nothing more
than sitting in the window watching the world go by. She can be nervous when she
first meets you however once bonded she loves the attention. She enjoys being
brushed but is very nervous when being groomed professionally so an
understanding profession groomer is a must. Molly gets on well with dogs of a
similar size however she can be nervous around bigger dogs. She could live with
a confident dog or equally as an only dog in the house. She is currently living
with cats and is happy in their company. Molly is house trained and sleeps in
her own bed downstairs overnight. Her favourite pastime is chewing her toys. Molly
can be left for short periods however this will need to be built up as she does
cry when initially left. Molly is looking for an active family who enjoys
walking but are around most of the time. She travels well in the car and has no
issues visiting the vets.
Molly has a luxating patella that has been checked by our
vets and does not need any treatment at this time.

Ellie is a 3-year old Bichon Frise who is being fostered in RCT, South Wales. She is a loving girl who enjoys cuddles but is still quite wary of men. She does calm down but on the initial meet will bark. Ellie loves dinner and will spin, run and jump when she realises food is about to be served. She mastered the game of hide and seek and initiates play with her foster mum. Ellie needs an experienced home who will help her move forward at her own pace, at the moment she is picky who she interacts with and can freeze when handled so patience and time is very important for Ellie. She hasn’t needed to be crated while in foster and has been left for up to four hours without any issues.
Once Ellie loves you, she loves you and is generous with kisses…you will never need to wash your face again.
Health wise, she has a clicky hip, which will need to be monitored but currently this doesn’t give her any problems.
People – Ellie is still a little wary of people apart from foster mum. She will back away from new people but then will follow the other dogs to approach then run away again. She likes to be stroked if you are sitting down next to her but she will not approach if we are standing up. Ellie does not like to be groomed apart from a few strokes of a soft brush.
Dogs – Ellie lives with two other dogs and greets dogs well when out on walks.
Cats – Ellie lives with a cat in her foster home without an issue.
Out and about – Ellie loves going out on her daily walks and will happily meet other dogs but is wary of new people. She knows her way home and will charge once she gets to a certain point. She is nervous in the car but soon settles. Poor Ellie isn’t keen on the vets and will freeze and shake while being examined. Her adopters will have to work with confidence building.
Type of home – Ellie would need someone home for most of the day and would need a dog or dogs of similar or small size for company; she is under 6 kilos. She’s a young dog with lots of energy who is going to love her walks. Children of 10 and over due to her small size so not to be treated as a toy. A household that will not restrict her and give her the run of the house as she likes to follow her caregiver everywhere. House training has improved greatly since Ellie has been in foster and she is getting there, this is something that is very much a work in progress with the help of puppy pads.
Ellie is neutered, chipped, vaccinated and up to date with her flea and worming treatment. Potential adopters will be expected to travel to meet her in her foster home in South Wales.
Mango was one of three brothers who came into the Rescue. Unfortunately they acted like typical teenagers and decided they didn’t like each other! Mango is the quiet one and loves nothing more than a cuddle and some human attention. Possibly due to him being bullied by his brothers when he was younger, he hasn’t been that keen on other rabbits. However, he did eventually bond with a lady bun who unfortunately passed a few months ago – so he is definitely open to bunny love.
His favourite pastimes are eating and playing with his ball and toys. He loves his teddy bear who has taken the place of his dearly departed Daisy.
Mango has been exposed to E-cuniculi – he has been treated and has exhibited no symptoms. If you know your rabbit is a carrier, he would be the perfect companion.
E cuniculi is a tiny parasite that affects rabbits along with a small range of other species. Studies have shown that over 50% of healthy rabbits in the UK carry the parasite with only a small proportion ever showing any illness. Even if symptoms do appear, they are treatable with the rabbit living a full and happy life.
Our Mango is a bit of a star – you might recognize him from being our pin up boy in the FOAW calendar this year! He is Mr March 2020!

And here is the magnificent Rupert! Rupert is a Continental Giant who is 14 months old and currently weighs 6.3 kgs. Foster Mum describes him as a big bundle of soft love! He seriously loves a cuddle – every evening he can be found laying on the sofa with his head tucked under Foster Mum’s arm or chin.
He’s a real gentle giant but it’s possible that he could grow to 8 kgs so, as well as needing a sizeable lady (bun friend, not human – they can be any size!), he will need a huge amount of space…. Preferably including sofas!
Foster Mum has totally fallen for our Rupert – as does everyone who meets him – but she knows that he needs a wife bun and a forever home to complete his life. We always say that each animal takes a bit of their fosterer’s heart with them when they find their forever home – luckily fosterers have naturally huge and expandable hearts – but Rupert is going to take a humongous lump!
Rupert is neutered and is up to date with his vaccinations. And although Foster Mum is loath to admit it, he is ready and waiting to find his perfect lady bun and forever home.

We’re putting money on that Roxie will be the softest rabbit you have ever touched and possibly the most beautiful you’ve seen.
Foster Mum says she is a real sweetheart. If you sit down with her, she loves to climb all over you. She will ask for pats but is still unsure if there is an arm coming to pick her up. She loves food, particularly her hay, and is a good litter box user. She also loves to be on top of her houses and is often found sleeping on top of them.
Roxie is very inquisitive about the world around her and she so deserves a friend to do her exploring with in her perfect forever home. She is spayed and her vaccinations are all up to date.
