CALM RESIDENT DOG
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED
PATIENT FAMILY WHO ARE AROUND MOST OF THE TIME
Libby is an 8-9 year old Shitzu described by her foster mum as a little diva who loves a squeaky toy. She has collected all the squeaky toys in the house and put them in her crate and if you take one she will just put it back. Libby trots around the house like she owns the place and tbh …. she does. Libby started off sleeping in the crate but has now progressed to the pet bed and is very happy there. Libby sleeps quite a bit and then will get up and stretch and take a stroll around the garden.
Libby has no known health issues
Libby loves people especially if they make a fuss of her and is fine with dog savvy children. She enjoys a cuddle on the sofa and will seek you out when she needs a bit of fuss. She enjoys a nice snooze on the sofa in the sun close to her human.
She has not been cat or small furry tested
Toilet training and basic commands are a work in progress and this will need to continue in her forever home.
She has not been out into the big wide world yet as she has only had her first vaccination.
Libby needs a home where someone is around most of the time with a calm resident dog who can show her how to be a dog and help her explore the big wide world. Someone who can spend time one to one with her and understands she needs time to adjust into a home. She’s not going to be a dog who wants to climb mountains but were sure she will want to go and learn about squirrels and smells.

NEEDS A RESIDENT CALM DOG
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED
PATIENT LOVING OWNERS WHO CAN GIVE HER THE TIME SHE NEEDS TO FLOURISH
Tani is a 3 year old Bedlington who is currently a scared little girl who takes a while to get to know you. She currently avoids direct eye contact until she feels safe around you. She likes to wander around the various dog beds at home and enjoys a cuddle on your lap on the sofa once she has decided that you are her friend and will not hurt her.
Her medical history will be discussed with potential adopters
Tani can be very disengaged when she first meets new people and it can take her a few days for her to adjust. She is nervous around strangers and will attempt to move away if you approach her. This reduces when she builds trust in you. She doesn’t like fast or loud movements and gets scared easily bolting to a place of safety. If she cannot escape, she will cower on the floor in fear. She is ok with older dog savvy children, when she gets used to them.
She has not been tested around cats or small furries.
Tani is quiet in the house and likes to wander from room to room. She sleeps in a bed at the side of her foster mum’s bed but will make her way onto the bed if she is allowed. Tani is very much house trained but can experience the odd accident if she can’t get outside quick enough. She will go overnight and toilet outdoors on rising in the morning.
Basic training has started and she is a very quick learner, this will need to continue in a positive manner in her forever home. She’s a very intelligent girl and is keen to get it right enjoying the treat or reward when she does.
Tani is just starting to show an interest in furry toys, which is a moment we all love to see. It means she is turning that corner from a fearful little lady in her surroundings to feeling safe. She can be left for short periods but doesn’t like to be left alone for long and will cry and search around the house for you.
Tani has shown no signs of food aggression and will willingly share a plate or bowl with her foster brothers.
Tani has not been out and about yet as her vaccinations are not completed.
Tani would like a quieter home where her new owners are home with her to help her settle. She will need patience and understanding as her early years have not been the most pleasant and she needs time to learn to trust you. When you have earned her trust, she will reward you with endless love and cuddles. She would be better around older, dog savvy children who would give her the space she needs. She would also need a calm resident dog who can show her how to behave and help her trust. She needs ongoing positive training in basic commands.

Englebert or Bertie as his foster mum lovingly calls him is a 4 year old Chihuahua that is quite boisterous, playful and loving. He is still learning what are toys and what are not. His little personality has appeared and is shining through day by day. He is a tiny boy with a very big personality. He needs to be an only dog and is quite happy doing zoomies around the garden on his own. Now that he knows what zoomies are and how fun they are he does this 3 or 4 times a day.
Bertie’s medical history will be discussed with any potential adopters.
He is still a little shy with new people but comes around quickly if they give him space. The most endearing thing about Bertie is that he has learned to love and trust people despite never previously having any positive contact with humans. He enjoys cuddles and to shows you his love he gives the most adorable dog kisses. He loves being smoothed… he really is a little bundle of love.
He hasn’t been cat tested and likes to shout at the neighbours’ cats that don’t come in the garden. He may be okay in time as long as introductions are carefully made.
Bertie loves home comforts and likes the freedom of a garden. He has the run of the home and enjoys sleeping on the sofa, in dog beds and on his foster mums bed.
Lead training is ongoing and he is now wearing a harness around the house and garden and foster mum has started walking him in the garden to build his confidence. He is still nervous around traffic and sudden noises. He is very treat orientated so with treats, patience and small walks he will get there as he is a very clever boy.
Bertie needs someone that is home most of the time as he doesn’t do well if left for long periods. This little boy has big personality and can easily get up to mischief if left to his own devices. He needs boundaries and positive training for him to fulfil his true potential. He is an active dog but is also a proper cuddle monster. He ticks all the right boxes for the right home who will give him the time as he listens and learns so quickly. He is going to be one amazing little man.

PERFECT HOUSE GUEST
WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE OUTSIDE WORLD AFTER A PERIOD OF ADJUSTMENT
Maya is a beautiful 8 month old kitten who is quite the character. She likes to jump out on you from under the bed or s but it’s always with a gentle paw. She can be quite active and chase toys that you dangle for her or find her own fun by pushing and chasing stones, rubber bands and scrunched up balls of paper. Once she has exhausted herself with these games, she likes a good snooze. She will sometimes seek you out and can be quite companiable but normally she just likes to lay near or next to you.
She loves watching the birds and is keen to go outside (although she hasn’t in her foster home). She is a good fun cat who will make a lovely pet.
Maya likes to know that there is someone in the home so would suit someone who is around most of the time. She has been fine with older children and is quite gently with younger children as long as they play nice.
She has previously been in foster with another cat but was bullied so would be good as an only cat or with another quiet cat with proper introductions. She has not been dog tested
She’s been a model house guest and uses a scratching post and the litter tray. We think she would like to go outside after a period of adjustment as she loves to watch the birds through the windows.

LOVING, PATIENT OWNERS WHO WILL HELP ELVIS BE A RESCUE AMBASSADOR
Elvis is a 6 year old Chihuahua described by his foster mum as a real character who loves to play. He’s funny and cheeky and most definitely loves a treat. He’s a busy boy and likes to look for things to keep him occupied but he also loves cuddles and snuggling up on a lap or a big comfy bed!
Elvis loves to eat, loves walks…in fact he just loves life!
Elvis was very underweight when he came into foster and this has improved tremendously and we are now at the stage where he is on 2 meals a day and improving daily. Elvis loves food and enjoys two meals a day and healthy treats in between.
Elvis’s medical history will be discussed with any potential adopters
Elvis loves people in general but can be unsure of men who stand over him and make him feel threatened making Elvis feel as if he needs to stand his ground and defend himself.
Elvis is fine with the other dogs in his foster home but has not been cat tested. He can be quite vocal and enjoys the sound of his own voice when he gets excited or feels he has to sing along with the pack.
House training is ongoing however if rehomed where he has the opportunity for more attention this will soon be overcome as he’s very quick to learn
Elvis walks well on harness and enjoys walks. He’s a happy boy and causes no problems out on walks.
Elvis needs a home where owners will spend lots of time with him and help him adjust to the big wide world. Someone Who has the time to give lots of cuddles and help with his house training. He could live with another calm dog or if the owners are at home could be an only dog. He would be okay with older dog savvy children

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH A RESIDENT DOG
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
LOVING, PATIENT HOME
OKAY WITH CATS
Daley is an 8 year old ex-breeding Papillon that is described by her foster mum as a Mary Poppins of dogs in which she mean she has been ‘practically perfect in every way’! and a real pleasure to foster.
Daleys medical history will be discussed with any potential adopters however over breeding has given Daley very slack tummy muscles, and the doggy physio has given her exercises that will need to be continued in order to improve her overall muscle condition in her forever home.
Daley loves people! She’ll nose your hand if you stop stroking her, and is happy on your lap. Her foster home has had several visitors staying during the time Daley has been there, and she has shown a particular preference for female visitors, and quickly forms attachments.
She is a quiet, calm girl who has been fine with visiting children of all ages, but she really doesn’t like the noise and chaos that some children create! In her forever home she could live with dog savvy older children.
She has shown no interest whatsoever in the resident cats.
Daley is very clean in the house, and tends to just pop out of the cat flap if she needs to go toilet. She sleeps on her foster parent’s bed, and is no trouble, you wouldn’t know she was there. She loves her fluffy doughnut bed, but also enjoys sleeping on the sofa. She’s a slow starter who doesn’t want to get up in the mornings but isn’t that most of us these days
Daley is not at all yappy, and has only barked occasionally when the other resident dogs have gone bonkers at the Hermes man. She has been left for a couple of hours on her own (without resident dogs & with) and has been fine. She’s not destructive nor distressed.
She is great with her food but has to be encouraged to eat breakfast or she will be looking for brunch. She has obviously had treats from peoples plates before, and will look hopeful at family mealtimes but doesn’t mither for titbits.
As she is restarting her vaccinations, Daley has only had very limited walks. She has walked on the lead very nicely in and out of the vets, and across the road to a non-dog household for a change of scene (and a cup of tea for her foster mum). Daley gets very car sick, so her foster family have been taking her on short daily car journeys. Up to 20 minutes with no issues.
Daley is a sweet, delicate girl who needs a calm home but somewhere with enough going on for her to watch and join in when she chooses. She is not high energy, but also not ready to sleep away the rest of her days. There is lots of life and joy left inside this lovely little girl. She would flourish in a home with a calm and gentle dogfriend that will bring her out of her shell, however she could also be an only dog.

Gerald is a 6 year old long haired chihuahua who we thought was a grey colour when he first came into rescue. We soon found out that he was a beautiful cream colour and the bath water was grey. He is the sweetest little boy who loves gentle snuggles, however he is a fearsome sock killer!!!
Gerald loves soft toys to play with but is happiest when on a comfy lap close to his human
Gerald is still working on gaining weight but is healthy in all other ways
Gerald likes people and really benefits from human contact.
He is fine with the other dogs in his foster home but has not been cat tested
Gerald is a happy boy who loves being comfy…he is happiest on a lap but loves big comfy cushions too! He is great on stairs and enjoys running about using up his energy!
Gerald can be very shouty but in his opinion he’s doing his job making sure no one comes near the home who shouldn’t!!!!
Gerald walks well on a harness and really enjoys his walks. He behaves perfectly out and about too!
Gerald needs a loving home who will cherish and adore him. He could live with a resident dog or on his own as long as he has a human snuggle cushion around most of the day. QUIET, LOVING HOME WITH OWNERS AROUND MOST OF THE TIME
Simone is a 4 year old Cavalier who is shy initially but soon warms up to people if she is allowed to approach when she feels ready. She needs to be treated gently but once happy she enjoys a fuss and cuddle on her own terms. Simone has her safe spaces within the foster home where she will go to think about what is happening. She will need to find her safe space in her forever home and adopters will need to give her time and space when she shows she needs this.
Currently Simone’s favourite thing is sleeping on her foster mum or on the arm of the chair where foster mum sits. She is very clean in the house and will follow her foster siblings into the garden to toilet. She hasn’t started playing with toys yet but is watching her foster fur siblings closely and you can see she is working it all out. Experience tells us this will come in time when she feels settled and safe.
She is loving being part of a pack in a loving foster home and follows her fur family around. As with most dogs her favourite activities are sleeping or barking with her foster siblings at anything they take a disliking to or feel is a threat. She currently barks at her own reflection but this will pass in time. She’s just never seen how gorgeous she is, and no one has ever told her how special she is till now.
Simone has not been around children full time but has been very gently with visiting dog savvy older children as long as they don’t put too much pressure on her or are too loud and excitable.
Simone has not experienced the joys of going walkies yet but her fur family has told her about it and she’s keen to go and has been practicing with a harness on in the garden. She has never been for a walk so this is all new and she is taking to it like a true survivor. She will need patience to continue her positive experiences
She’s is currently eating grain free Harrington’s wet food & burns dry food which she enjoys.
Simone needs a calm understanding family with a resident dog and owners around most of the time. A retired family or someone who works from home. She just needs that connection to her forever family to feel safe.

WILL NEED AT LEAST ONE OTHER RESIDENT DOG FOR COMPANY

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
PATIENT OWNERS IN A QUIET HOME
Bradley is an 8 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel. He is a nervous ex stud dog who has spent his life learning to be wary of humans. He loves the other dogs in his foster home and has attached himself to a spaniel and follows him everywhere, even sleeping with his head rested on him so he knows if he moves.
Having arrived with a host of health issues Bradley has now been given a clean bill of health by the vets including a clear ECG. He doesn’t have much vision in one eye due to scarring from an untreated infection
Initially frightened of people Bradley is happy to be in your company and sit on the same sofa as you but will jump if you touch him when he’s not expecting it. Once picked up you can feel him visibly start to relax. Currently he is not a dog that likes to be fussed he would much rather be with his canine friends. He does however like it when you talk to him and will dance around wagging his tail.
Bradley could live with older children who aren’t too boisterous or noisy
Not cat tested but I don’t think there’s be any problems
Bradley is a gentle soul who is easy to foster. He spends lots of the day either asleep or in the company of his doggy friends. He loves his food and has a good appetite. Toilet training is nearly there but he may initially go backwards in his new home. (It only seems to be his bedding he scent marks)
Bradley hasn’t been on a lead yet as he’s not fully vaccinated so new owners will need to slowly introduce this. He’s been to the vets a few times and has been fine being handled and is happy watching the other dogs there.
Bradley would thrive in a quiet home with at least one other kind dog to show him the ropes. Patient owners who won’t rush him and let him take everything at his own pace.

OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NOT CAT TESTED
Freddie is a large 17 month old King Charles Cavalier, the vet queried a possible spaniel mix. He is very friendly and boisterous and gets carried away when he sees his foster mum jumping up to greet her but as he is quite heavy, he does make an impact. His excitement is being worked on but this will take time. He is just a super happy boy. Freddie doesn’t realise his size and tries to copy the smaller dogs in his foster home which makes things interesting. He just wants to be loved and fussed and loves nothing more that cuddling in and snoozing. You will know when he’s finally asleep as he’s a snorer.
Freddie loves his food and eats like a good boy but does not like to share. He has no known health issues but as has been said he is 21 kgs and the vet has advised he needs to lose 5 kgs safely as soon as he can.
He is good with people and happy to meet them. He likes to jump up as we’ve said through excitement with his tail constantly wagging. He loves to be fussed by everyone and enjoys human company and to follow you around.
He is great with foster mums dog savvy 11 year old son but we would not recommend small children due to his excitement and size.
He has not been cat or small fury tested
Freddie is a good boy and toilets outside, he only once had an accident and that was on day one when he was still settling, love him. He is dry all night. He is currently sleeping upstairs in fosters mums’ room in a dog bed. He can take a little while to settle down but will then sleep all night. You know when he wants to go to bed as every time you move after a certain time he goes to the bottom of the stairs as if to say “bed time mum “.
Freddie loves being in the garden to feel the sun on his face and watch all the birds and butterflies. He travels well in the car with a seatbelt.
Freddie has not been out and about yet as his vaccinations were not up to date. He’s had his first vaccination now and has been told about trees and squirrels by his foster fur family and seems keen to want to go for a good sniff.
Freddie is going to need a patient but active home with dog confident children of 11 and over. His foster mum thinks he will be best as an only dog so he can have all the attention and training he needs. He has clearly been adored in his previous home by the size of his belly but we don’t think he went very far to turn that belly into muscle.

Toby is a 7 year old gentleman who has been an absolute pleasure whilst being on foster. He uses a scratching post and litter tray and is now too old to climb curtains which makes him the perfect house guest. He is happy being indoors but would aloso be happy to go outdoors after a period of adjustment.
Toby is fab with other cats especially kittens as he likes to teach then and keep them in line. He has not been dog or small furry tested.
Toby eats dry food with the occasional treat of ham or chicken. He can be very fussy with treats that are offered to him.
Toby doesn’t like to be picked up, he prefers to come to you for fusses and is super adorable when he does. He is good with children who will leave him alone and let him come to them when he wants attention. He does not like to be chased to be stroked or cuddled.
Toby would like a home with or without other cats with owners who will let him just be his own true gent. He will come for attention when he is ready but mostly just loves to be close and watches what is going on in the household. He would like a home that is not too loud or busy.

Marlie loves being around people and is happy to please you. She will play fetch and bring things back. She loves to cuddle and sit next to you in the evening.
She has not been around children but we think she’d be fine around older children.
She is not cat tested
She is generally good with house training but does have some accidents. She loves her food and always looks for more. Don’t leave any food or drink around the house as she will try to eat or drink it.
Marlie isn’t keen on a lead but I’m sure once she’s allowed out into the big wide world, she’ll be fine with it.

WOULD SUIT A YOUNG RETIRED COUPLE OR FAMILY JUST SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO GO WALKIES BUT IS AROUND A LOT OF THE TIME
Holly came to us when her previous owner sadly passed away, she has clearly been adored and is a delightful long legged 5 year old Yorkshire Terrier who has the sweetest temperament and loves everyone she meets. She is a friendly little girl who adores her human and likes to be close to you wherever you go. She has the sweetest little face and will tip her head sideways when you talk to her as if she understands what you are saying. She is a typical little lap dog and loves to sit next to you on the sofa or on your knee. She is a calm dog who is not overly playful. She will chase and play with a toy or ball for short periods but only when the mood takes her.
Holly has no known health issues.
Holly has liked every human she has come into contact with and is happy to greet you with a friendly wiggle of her body and waggle of her tail. She has bonded with her foster mum and is never far from her side. She likes to sleep on her human’s bed at night and will sleep right through as long as she is cuddled up real close to you!
Holly has not lived with children. She has met her foster mum’s grandchildren and has been fine with them. She would not like boisterous children but will interact and snuggle up with calm dog savvy older children.
Holly is being fostered with four cats. She ignores them most of the time but will cuddle up on the sofa with the resident Siamese cat. They look so cute together lying nose to nose.
Holly is housetrained and has never been crated in the home. Her foster Mum has left her for a few hours alone in the house and she has been ok but she does sit on the back of the sofa and watch through the window waiting for her human to return. She prefers a sofa to a dog bed. She is not destructive. She is however a very picky eater. Her foster Mum is working with her to try and get her to eat a more varied diet so potential adopters will need to continue with this.
Holly enjoys her walks and walks well on a lead. She is happy to meet other dogs but equally happy to explore on her own. She travels well in a car and can be crated for short journeys.
Holly needs a home where she will be the focus of her family. She has always lived as an only dog but could possibly be rehomed with another friendly dog as long they don’t mind sharing. She loves her humans and needs them to be around for most of the day. She would suit a younger retired couple or a family with older children where there is someone home during the day to give her constant cuddles and attention. She really is the most adorable girl who has been an absolute pleasure to foster. She is the most loving little girl and deserves the most loving home we can find for her.

RESIDENT DOG OR DOGS
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
EXPERIENCE OF EX BREEDING OR NERVOUS DOGS DESIRABLE
CALM, LOVING PAWRENTS WHO WILL GIVE HER TIME TO BLOSSOM
Grete is a 2-3 year old ex breeding Bichon who had never been in a loving home until she came into foster. Her first days were hard on all of us seeing her terrified but knowing she just had to decompress and work it out for herself. It was so hard to watch it took time and she would run to a corner to hide if she was scared or startled and watch until she felt safe. She would follow her furry foster sister everywhere and this is where we started seeing the improvements. It’s taken time and patience but now she trusts her foster mum and pushes her furry foster sister out of the way for attention. She now knows how to jump on the sofa and climb the stairs and comes to her foster mum for cuddles, reassurance and tummy rubs.
Grete hasn’t been left alone for long and has always been left with the other dog when she has. When foster mum comes home she is full of tail wags and excitement, and foster mum gets lots of licks and kisses. She has become a playful, affectionate little dog that likes you to pretend to chase her so she can have a mad ten minutes. The rest of the time she is very laid back and would fit into any home after a period of adjustment. The difference in her from her first day to now is amazing
She is wary of new people and is a little hesitant to approach them, but with kind words she will come and lick a hand the same with children. She still watches foster mums every move and loves a fuss.
Grete has been following her nawty sister with cats she sees in the garden. Having a half-hearted run at them but really appearing more interested in the smells than the cat
She eats well in the home sometimes a little too well and will take food from her foster sister’s mouth if she had the chance. This isn’t her fault as she has previously had to fight for any food that she came across. And she had never had such goodies as pig puffs and chicken feet. We just recommend you get her a slow feeder and keep an eye on her when eating with other dogs so she doesn’t eat too much. She is house trained and goes outside to wee and poo, as long as the door is open. In her new home she may need encouragement to go until she feels safe.
Grete has not been further than the front and back garden as yet due to not being fully vaccinated but this is how foster mum is doing her lead training. She will walk on the lead with the help of her foster sister for encouragement. Her foster fur sister has told her about the outside with squirrels and trees and she is very much looking forward to going exploring but this will be very much on her own terms with a double lead and harness for safety.
Grete needs a home who will give her time, love and affection. She needs a home with at least one other dog to show her the world is not a scary place and not all humans are bad. She will need a secure garden where she can sit and smell the plants or sunbathe. She would also like someone to teach her how to play fetch with a squeaky ball as her foster sister has told her it’s a great game but she hasn’t yet got the confidence to try. She’s super intelligent and her foster mum can’t wait to hear how she will blossom in her forever home.

QUIET HOME WITH PATIENT LOVING OWNERS
Harvey is a 6 year old friendly Shih Tzu boy who although being nervous of his new surroundings, always has a waggy tail. Initially he is wary of humans but is desperate to trust and dances around just out of reach until he feels confident in your company. He will then let you gently stroke him. He loves his food and is partial to a comfy bed or preferably the windowsill where he can sit and watch the world go by.
Harvey has no current health issues but did need to be shaved on arrival so it will take a bit of time for his coat to grow back
Harvey is very interested in people and loves to follow you around watching what you are doing from a safe distance. He is happy to share his sofa with you and doesn’t mind jumping over you if you are blocking his view of the windowsill
As Harvey is still slightly nervous of people a home with no boisterous or noisy children would be preferred.
Not cat tested
Harvey is a good boy in the home. He sleeps well overnight and is happy to be left for a few hours with another dog for company. He is not destructive at all and is nearly there with toilet training. Initially he would scent mark his beds so new owners will need to accept he may go backwards in the first instance.
Harvey hasn’t been for walks on a lead yet as he isn’t fully vaccinated so his new home will need to work on this slowly. He’s happy to wear a harness and has started to show interest when the other dogs go out so I think this will come quickly.

Misty is a 5 year old cocker spaniel with a massive soppy side. She likes to walk around holding a toy and wagging her tail as you comment on how nice her toy is. She has had a hard life and this shows from her shy reserved nature. She is starting to come out of her shell in her foster home and enjoys lots of tickles but this is a slow process for Misty. The progress she has made is amazing going from constantly hiding to happily sitting on her bed and walking around the garden. In a new home she is likely to go backwards again before she will continue to go forwards. She will need time to settle and a safe place to watch everything around her as she assessed her new life. Structured tickle times, currently after food twice a day and before bed, help her to know when to expect to be touched. In time she will come to you outside of these times to request attention. At bedtime Misty loves a full body massage, combined with lots of soft positive encouragement and her body physically sinks into her bed.
Misty’s medical history will be discussed with potential owners.
Misty is very shy around new people and her forever people need to be aware that until Misty gets more confident, she will hide in her safe space when visitors come into the room. After some time, she will investigate the newbies if they don’t seem too loud and scary but will then return to her safe space. She will take a lot of time to trust humans and will need someone willing to introduce her slowly to people and persevere to help her build confidence over the coming months/years. She has shown great progress and clear indications that she likes and wants attention but she needs to build her confidence in humans again.
Misty doesn’t seem to find children as intimidating as adults but she would struggle with the unpredictable movements and sounds of younger children. Misty could live with children who will allow her time and space, aged 12 and above.
Misty is not tested with cats. She has been to the vets and although she was very scared, she behaved wonderfully.
Misty sleeps in the lounge on her dog bed and is such a good girl. At breakfast she greets her foster mum with a toy in her mouth and full bum/tail wags. She loves her food but will leave it if she feels worried by another dog, she needs her human to guard her while she eats to feel safe.
Misty will go to the toilet outside but will use puppy pads at night. In a new home, it will take her some time to be confident in going into the garden. However, a resident dog will greatly help with this.
Misty has no lead training and has not been outside the home on walks. She needs someone willing to take as much time as she needs to build her confidence inside and outside of the home. She can spook and might run so lots of lead and recall training will be needed.

CALM RESDIENT DOG
NOT CAT TESTED
OLDER CHILDREN OR ADULT ONLY HOME
PATIENT OWNERS WHO ARE HOME MOST OF THE TIME
KNOWLEDGE OF NERVOUS DOGS IS A BONUS
Zola is a beautiful 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel described by her foster mum as a beautiful gentle soul. She’s a very nervous little girl who is slowly adapting to home life but it is very much at her own pace. In her foster home she has a safe space which she knows is hers where she can happily sit and watch the world go by while she assesses if it is safe for her to re-join. It’s important for her to have a safe space as it helps her gain her confidence.
Zola has no known health issues and has not been cat or small furry tested.
Zola likes to be near her foster family but only if everyone is calm and quiet. She needs to feel safe while she decides if she wants to come and see you. Once she knows you won’t hurt her, she will happily sit by you and fall asleep. She’s very gentle and wary but also curious for a bit of attention. She likes to be involved with the other dogs in the home and watches them for confidence. She’s a pleasure to have around and it’s wonderful seeing her slowly opening up and trusting her foster family.
As gorgeous as she is, when she is sleeping be aware that she has a very loud snore. She’s learning every day and making great progress in the home but it’s very slow. She needs time, reassurance and tenderness.
Zola has not been tested around young children but from her behaviour any loud noises or sudden movement scares her. She’s nervous around foster mums dog savvy daughter so older dog savvy children or an adult only home would probably be best for Zola.
Zola is absolutely no trouble in the home there were a few toileting accidents when she arrived but once she got into a routine and was encouraged to go out to the garden often, she has much improved. Zola loves a nice comfy bed and seems to have one in almost every room of her foster home. Her bed is her safe place and she goes to it when she’s feeling a little unsure. She hasn’t chewed anything but does like to collect socks or items of clothing and carries them to her bed for comfort.
Zola hasn’t been in the big outdoors yet as she hasn’t had both injections but lead work has started in the garden but again this is a slow process and it needs to be at her own pace so she sees it as a positive experience
Zola needs a quiet, calm home where she can have lots of love and encouragement but it needs to be done slowly and at her pace. She has not been left on her own as she was upset when her foster family tried. She will need a calm resident dog who can help her learn that people are good.
Zola needs a home with calm understanding pawrents who can help her become the dog she was meant to be. She needs a resident dog to follow and learn that humans are good and tummy tickles are the best. She needs a safe place in her home where she can sit and watch the world go by till she feels safe.

CALM RESIDENT DOG A MUST
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
EXPERIENCE OF NERVOUS OR EX BREEDING DOGS DESIRABLE
Kylie is a 5 year old westie that came in to foster very scared and would shake if you moved quickly or walked in her direction. Since being in foster she has come on in leaps and bounds following her foster mum everywhere. She can get upset if left alone and will howl and cry.
She has started to play with dog toys and anything that is left around. She likes to help with the clothes washing and will steal clothes from the washing basket to play and snuggle with. She also has a thing for tea towels, letters, trainers, puppy pads anything she can grab hold of she thinks is hers to play with.
Kylie gets distressed if left and will need another dog for company and someone who will settle her slowly and take things at her pace. She can be a little destructive when left alone and has chewed part of a wooden chair. She is a lovely little girl who will make someone an amazing addition to a family once settled into a routine where she feels safe.
Kylie has started to take treats from her foster mums hand and absolutely loves food. She gets very excited when she knows it’s breakfast and tea time and will jump about with excitement. She currently sleeps downstairs and wakes up usually around 6am or as soon as she hears movement upstairs excited to see you and to see what the day holds.
She likes to lie next to you on settee and generally be close so she can feel secure. She does have a favourite chair in her foster home which she sees as her safe place and will seek out her safe place in her forever home. Kylie had never been crated and got stressed when her foster mum tried this for night-time bed routine.
Kylie does have a slight rash which seems to be disappearing over time with the right food.
She can be shy at first when meeting new people but does come around with a short amount of time when she feels safe with them.
She has not been around children and her foster mum feels she would be fine with older children who know how to act around a little girl who is just getting used to being a dog in a big scary world. She can be very jumpy and will run to get away if startled.
Kylie is not cat or small furry tested
Toilet training is an ongoing process and her new family will have to support her through these times of change. She will go out to the garden on occasions but this will need more training and patience.
Kylie has not been out and about yet as she has only received first vaccination but her foster siblings have told her about squirrels and trees and although she was initially worried did say that she would try and be brave with her new family supporting her
Kylie will need a home where someone is home most of the time with a calm resident dog who can show her the ropes. She could live with sensible dog savvy children who are used to ex breeding dogs.

FRANK NEEDS TO BE AN ONLY DOG
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NO CATS
ACTIVE ADOPTERS WHO WILL INVEST TIME IN HIS ONGOING TRAINING
Calling all active adopters who want a dog with energy to burn! Frank is a very active 2 year old bulldog who loves to strut around the house and be involved in everything you do. He loves to explore and will require some training with his recall and manners in the home.
Frank doesn’t like cuddles but he does love a good lower back scratch and will stay for ages whilst you are doing it. He has the odd stubborn moment but what bulldog doesn’t!
Frank has no known health issues.
Frank likes people and is happy to be touched. He has been fine when around children on walks and with a 14 year old in the foster home. Whilst Frank has shown some good progress with another dog, he would be better to be homed as an only dog.
Frank is house trained but will potentially mark his territory when first in the house. He has been sleeping in the kitchen with his bed and a baby gate.
He can be possessive with food and toys but does love to play with his big knot rope and will enjoy a session of tug of war for good periods of time. He like to play with soft toys but quickly dispatches them. He also enjoys Yak Chews.
Frank was left for long periods of time in his previous home and was upset so we would advise that he is only left alone for a couple of hours maximum when not sleeping.
Frank does pull a little on walks in his enthusiasm to get to where you are going and based on how he is in the home he will need more lead and recall training. He also has a tendency to want to chase cars so does pull on the lead when he sees them.
Frank is a fantastic dog with a big personality who deserves a home that will love him and pay him lots of attention. He is still young and needs someone to invest time and patience into his training and future. He will make someone an amazing pet.

DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
What can we say?! She’s a Lab, she’s a puppy, she’s adorable… Barley is 17 weeks old and the sweetest little girl who is very smart. She’s shown lots of potential already with training, which will need to be continued in her forever home. She is a rambunctious pup who is full of beans and will need plenty of socialising with well-behaved dogs to help her become a rescue ambassador. Fun and games will be needed to keep her brain active and stop her getting bored, she’s a truly delightful puppy.
Barley was born with Pulmonic Stenosis, a heart condition which was corrected by surgery at 13 weeks old. She’s just had her check up at the vets and everything is great. She will now need annual check ups.
Barley loves everyone she meets and has become a much loved girl in the neighbourhood. She has met children on her walks and behaved well whilst under supervision, due to her young age we would recommend she be homed with dog savvy children.
Barley has encountered cats on her walks and is absolutely scared stiff of them… her tail goes between her legs and she hides behind her foster mum!
Barley loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home, she loves toys, particularly a ball and is very playful, she is currently teething and does nip occasionally when over excited but this is being worked on. She’s mostly house trained with only the occasional accident
Barley loves her walks, particularly in the forest on a pack walk, she has good recall even when distracted by the other dogs.
Labradors are notorious for being destructive if left to their own devices, if you’ve seen Marley and Me, consider yourself warned! So with this in mind, our little Barley needs a home where there’s someone around most of the day, someone with the patience and willingness to continue with her training and be active enough to take her on lots adventures. She is going to need annual check ups with the specialist vet in Marlow so potential adopters will need to be happy to travel for these. A family with large breed experience would be desirable. Barley could live with or without another dog but will need to be kept active.
Will be adopted on a neutering and training agreement

Adopters will need to travel to Marlow annually for Barleys check ups

COULD BE AN INDOOR OR OUTDOOR CAT
CAN LIVE WITH ANOTHER CAT AFTER CAREFUL INTRODUCTIONS
CAN LIVE WITH DOGS
Elkie is only 2 years old and came to us heavily pregnant needing a safe place to have her last litter of babies. She’s a single mother who now wants to leave behind her party girl days and have a quiet life with a loving family. After a period of adjustment she could go outside, she has shown interest in wanting to go out. Having finished nursing her kittens her affectionate side is now starting to show. She is a tiny little lady with bags of character you cannot see from her pics just how little she is.
She is a perfectly lovely cat; she will make a lovely lap cat when settled. She has a sweet temperament and is even tempered not being too shy or extrovert. Did we mention she likes laps and fusses.
Elkie has not had direct contact with children but we think she will be fine with older calm or cat savvy children.
She showed protectiveness of her kittens but this was her job. Now that her job is over she could probably live with a gentle cat with sensible introductions

OAKLEY WILL BE ADPTED ON AN ASSISTED ADOPTION
Oakley is a one of a kind 8 year old Maltese, his cute face just melts your heart, he has the loveliest nature and is the perfect little lap dog, he will sit on your lap all day if you’d let him. Oakley needs a home that understands he has some quirky behaviours that do not bother him or his foster family.
Oakley has wonky back legs but this doesn’t stop him and he just needs gentle walks. He also has poor sight on the left side which doesn’t require any treatment and will not worsen. He also has luxating patella’s on his back legs which again doesn’t need treatment he copes very well but is just a little wobbly
Oakley loves the simple things in life which for him is a person to call his own and a nice lap to cuddle on. He’s a very easy dog to look after and ozzes buckets of love. He absolutely loves his food and gets soo excited at dinner time. He doesn’t have any teeth so just needs soft food.
Oakley has not been tested with young children and due to his quirks we would suggest older children that he can cuddle up to but won’t be too demanding with play.
Oakley has not been cat tested.
Oakley is fully house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He hasn’t been destructive at all and hasn’t shown any interest in toys yet, but I’m sure he will at some point. Oakley loves exploring the garden and enjoys a nice little sunbathe close to his humans or even better would be on his human’s lap in the sun.
Oakley is good to go walkies but will only be able to go on short gentle walks. He has been in the car and is okay, he shakes a little at first but quickly settles. Oakley has been very good meeting dogs on walks and with dogs that he has met in the home.
Oakley would like a furever home where he will have lots of love and cuddles, tasty food and treats and a human who will adore him and his quirks. He would like older children to cuddle that will not be too demanding. A home with a similar size dog to cuddle up to when his human is busy doing other things.

HE COULD LIVE WITH ANOTHER CALM DOG BUT WOULD NEED CARFEUL INTRODUCTIONS AND A KNOWLEDGEABLE OWNER OTHERWISE HE COULD BE AN ONLY DOG
PREFERABLY AN ADULT FEMALE ONLY HOME
SENSITIVE FRENCHIE EXPERIENCE DESIRED
NO CHILDREN, NO CATS OR SMALL FURRIES
Larry is a 3 year old delicate French bulldog who has had a very troubled past and has a few medical issues we hope won’t put off his perfect home that we know is out there. Larry is a very loving affectionate dog when he trusts you but his past has made him very sensitive to anything he feels might hurt or worry him. As a result he has learnt to react in quite an extreme ways to his stress triggers. One of these triggers seem to be men in the house and he gets very stressed around men shouting (even watching football on tv), waving arms or holding a floor brush. Although we don’t have his full history as he was with another rescue prior to coming to us for specialist care his behaviours strongly indicate he has been mistreated by a man and is now very worried as a result.
Larry is a highly sensitive dog who when in a calm, quiet and female orientated house loves nothing more than sofa cuddles and pottering in the garden where he can fully relax. His favourite sleeping position is upside down and he wiggles his whole bum when he sees you
Larry has delicate skin and is currently on long term medication to manage this. He is also fed on a grain free, hypoallergenic diet. He has a spinal issue which means he is sometimes a bit wobbly on his back legs, which has been assessed by a specialist vet and there is no surgery that will improve his condition. However it can be managed by limited exercise and keeping his diet in check so he doesn’t become overweight. Larry loves going for walks but these may need to be restricted if his condition deteriorates later in life. He needs a home experienced with flat faces and managing their breathing during hot weather.
Larry is very friendly with people outside the home, and loves cuddles. Inside the home he is worried by men in particular and needs an experienced frenchie home to manage his stress levels on a day to day basis to prevent him needing to react to stress triggers.
As Larry is a very sensitive dog we will only home him to an adult only home. He is not good with cats or small animals and will not be homed with them
Larry is a very needy frenchie that wants to be with you all the time, this is due to his past and any new owners must be prepared to work with him to overcome his separation issues
Larry has previously had multiple homes and been passed around before coming to us, so it is no wonder he is a confused, unsure boy at times and it may take a while to build the bond and confidence between him and any potential owner. Any new home must be prepared to give Larry time to settle, time to build his confidence but also work with him to manage his behaviour when he’s anxious rather than give up on him. Larry deserves a home that will work with him and not give up at the first obstacle
Larry due to his spinal issue currently doesn’t go on huge walks, but loves running and playing ball. His recall in a secure area is very good and he’s very ball focused so will come back for his favourite ball.
Larry needs a frenchie experienced home, ideally with females only or if a male someone that is 100% committed to working with Larry to overcome his fears around men. Particularly his fear of men’s hands or men carrying objects as he associates this with previous worry and will react by barking and lunging. Any male that applies for Larry will need to show commitment to giving Larry time but also be prepared for Larry to have moments where he will react to males until he gains trust.
Larry is such a complete cuddle monster in his foster home, and as it’s a single female home he has not shown any behaviour issues other than wanting to chase the cat and parrot. He has had a very troubled past and been very unsettled by moving from home to home with a previous rescue so any owner will need to be patient and give Larry time to adjust to another move.
Larry is a dog that so deserves to find a special person willing to see past his insecurities and give him stability, patience and lots of love. Due to his separation anxiety and new owner should be there the majority of the day, or working from home to help his stress levels

CAN BE AN ONLY DOG OR LIVE WITH A RESIDENT PLAYFUL DOG
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NOT CAT OR SMALL FURRY TESTED
WILL BE ADOPTED ON A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT
Hello, my name is Bramble and im a 20 week old Yorkie cross poodle and I am a full of fun and very lovable. My foster mummy says that I am adorable but a bit cheeky too! I need a family who will understand that I still have a lot to learn. I will need time and patience to grow into the most amazing family pet. I am looking for my forever home could that be you ?
My foster mummy says I am a typical busy puppy who is into everything and you only have to worry when I’m quiet and you can’t see me! I can also be a bit shy as I am still learning about the world and lots of things are still very strange and scary. I will need someone who can help me make sense of it all, with patience and time to teach me that there are lots of exciting things to see and do. I am looking for someone who has yummy food and a comfortable soft sofa. It will also help if you like puppy licks and cwtches. If this is you ?… then read on.
The vet said I am a fit and healthy puppy with no problems. I have a healthy heart, good teeth, clean ears and although I am a bit underweight my foster mummy is working on feeding me up! I do like my new kibble. I am having 4 meals a day to help my small tummy cope with this delicious food. I also like sardines and am learning about a lickimat and yummy treats. I am very lucky as I have additional dew claws on my back feet which the vet said isn’t a problem – I just need to remember to tell the groomer to trim them now and again. The vet said I was very good on my health check and I will make someone a very lovable pet.
My foster mummy has given me a bath – twice! To be honest I wasn’t keen and I made sure mummy got very wet too! I will need to learn that grooming is good for me and will probably need a regular trim as my hair can get a bit flyway!
I am starting to trust my foster mummy and will give her a big greeting in the morning, wagging my tail and getting excited. I am also pleased to see my foster nanny who has seen me every day since I came to this home. With people who are less familiar or new to me, I can be a bit nervous but if you leave me come to you and sit calmly, I will say hello when I am ready. I am just learning that people are fun to be with and need lots of experiences of meeting people in a calm and controlled way.
I am not sure about young children as they can be a bit loud and move very quickly. This can make me nervous and I then like to go into my bed or hide behind my foster mummy. With older children (over 8) who can be calmer and who are dog savvy I feel more comfortable and will let them give me a chin rub or puppy cwtch. Again my foster mum says that over time , with more experience she is sure I will come to learn that children can be my best friend.
I have not lived with cats or other small animals so I really don’t know what they are. As a young puppy I will need to be introduced to these carefully and under supervision so that I don’t get over excited and bring out my poor puppy manners!
I have already learnt my bedtime routine and after going out for my last toilet break I will then sleep all night in my puppy pen with my sister. I can sleep for at least 7 hours with no problem. I like my sleep! I have been dry and clean all night but have to go straight out in the morning to avoid an accident! Toilet training is ongoing but I will use a puppy pad if I am desperate and can’t remember where I should go or if the door is closed. My foster mummy gets very excited when I take myself outside to go to the toilet and she gives me a little cheer., telling me I am a good girl. I am not sure what all the fuss is about but is she is happy then I am too!
Around the house I like to explore everything and can get myself into very small spaces! I also like to try and jump onto things. My foster mums say’s for a little dog I can get very high! I have no problem launching myself onto the sofa with very little regard for whoever else is sitting there! I also like to chew things and I have lots of antlers and chew toys which I have started to use instead of foster mummy’s toes and table! I am also a good climber and the first day I managed to get myself out of the puppy pen by climbing. My foster mummy said that I shouldn’t do that as it was dangerous so now, she has a top on the pen and I have to use the door. That’s ok as I now quite like going into my puppy pen as it’s a safe space for me to rest. sleep and eat. The door is open in the day and sometimes I take myself into the pen to have a quiet five minutes.
My favourite thing to do at home is sniff in the garden and roll on the grass. There are just so many smells and I like to help foster mummy with the gardening by chewing the strawberries off the plants. I am very picky though as I only like the red ones!
My foster mum tells everyone that I am a typical 5mth old puppy in the house – exploring everything and trying to get into mischief if left alone for longer than a few minutes!
I have heard lots of strange sounds in my foster home – the washing machine, the TV box and the hoover. I wasn’t afraid of any of them but when foster mummy was singing along to the radio, I was very worried. I rushed up to her as I thought she was in pain and started jumping up at her to see if she was ok. So, I am looking for someone who has good taste in music or who will give me ears plugs if you want to sing!
The garden is one of my favourite places with lots of smells and space to have a run and chase the big dogs or my sister. I have been using the harness and lead in the garden but I am not keen on them. I prefer to go where I want and not to be led by foster mummy. Lead walking will take lots of practice!
I am not a good traveller in the car and journeys longer than a few minutes can make me sick. I have managed a five minute journey to my foster nannies house without being unwell but it is something I will need to get used to if I am going to get out and about with my new family. In the car I use a carry case to travel in to keep me safe.
I have visited my foster nannies house and have enjoyed going somewhere different with new smells. She also has another dog that I can have a play with so I think with more practice I will start to enjoy being out.
My ideal home will be someone who has time and energy to help me learn about the world. They will understand that I will make some mistakes but they will treat me with kindness and give me positive experiences so I build my confidence over time. I will need someone who is home for most of the day, as I have lots still to learn. I can be left in my puppy pen for about an hour with a lickimat or toy to occupy me but I prefer it when someone is around. I can’t really be trusted to have the run of the house as there are plenty of things to chew and that won’t be safe for me. My foster mummy says I am a typical puppy – 90 miles an hour one minute and then fast asleep the next. If you think you can give me a lovely home and teach me what I need to learn them please get in touch.

RESIDENT DOG WHO WILL TOLERATE A BOISTEROUS PUPPY
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
COMES WITH A NEUTERING AND TRAINING AGREEMENT
Rex is a 19 week old Vizla cross Labrador. He is a lovable character who loves to sit on your lap and get attention. He loves to retrieve things from the garden like stones and sticks which are quickly swapped for a toy or antler. He will need plenty of activities and games to keep him occupied he is only a puppy who is teething.
Fully vaccinated. Rex has no known health issues and will come with a neutering agreement.
Rex is a very friendly dog who will jump up for attention. He is not shy whatsoever.
Rex has been tested with visiting children and was gentle and enjoyed the attention but with his jumping and the size we would recommend older dog savvy children.
He has not been cat or small furry tested.
Being a baby after a long time of playing he likes a good sleep. In fact, he sleeps so deeply that he falls off the sofa and his foster family has to hold his head up. He loves to snuggle in his bed to sleep but with some of his chewing tendencies he has been going in a crate in the same room as his foster family which keeps him calm and he will happily go to sleep.
He has learnt a few commands and his house training has been great with no accidents in the house. Rex is always around when food is involved and eats his food like it’s his last meal. We have tried to slow this down by using puzzle games to put his food into.
Lead walking is a work in progress and he is a bit unsure but is getting used to the outside world, he likes to greet humans more than dogs when out on walks. Rex is ok in the car and is happy to be buckled in with a dog lead and will sit and sleep through the journey.
Rex needs an active home with lots of attention and playtime. We recommend a dog with him in his home as he loves to initiate play and follows the dogs and humans around the home. He needs plenty of socialisation and training and the right home to give him all his needs.

CALM RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR SIZE
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
PATIENT HOME IDEALLY WITH EXPERIENCE OF EX BREEDING SOGS.
Ffion is our 5 year old little Bichon who has settled really well in her foster home. She enjoys a little trot around the garden and sunbathe. She loves being with the other dogs and has learned a lot from them. She loves attention and cuddling on the sofa as long as it comes with a little chin tickle. She’s a quiet girl very undemanding who enjoys watching the world go by. When not running neighbourhood watch from the security of the house she likes to relax with cuddles up to her human or in the garden in the sun.
Ffion has some health issues that will be discussed with potential adopters and she will be on an assisted adoption to cover her pre-existing conditions.
Ffion can be nervous when you initially meet her and takes a little time to bond but once she trusts you and feels safe in her surroundings, she will pour all her love and trust into you. Her foster mum says nothing worth while ever came easy and having Ffion trust you is worth the wait.
Ffion can be nervous around smaller excitable children so we recommend older dog savy children who would give her the space she needs to come to them when she is ready,
Ffion has not been cat or small furry tested but due to her temperament she is likely to be ok if introduced properly
Ffion’s house training is still a work in progress and she is almost there. She doesn’t give any signs that she needs to go to the toilet, so regular trips to the garden are required for her to succeed. Be prepared though as once she’s in the garden she likes to feel the grass under her toes and to spend time enjoying smelling the flowers and watching the birds.
Ffion has been to vets and travels well in the car but must be secured correctly for her safety.
Ffion hasn’t been out and about in the world yet and will need some practice with lead walking and confidence building to help her thrive. Once she does get to explore the big wide world she’s going to love going out.
Ffion needs a quiet home with a resident dog or dogs who can show her the joys of being an adored pet. A furry family who can help build her confidence and teach her how to dog. Ffion needs someone who is around most of the time and can invest in helping her become the dog she has always wanted to be. Owners will need to be patient to gain her trust and confidence and help her settle into a routine so she feels safe.

Lilac is a 5 year old Shih tzu x Bichon who is described by her foster mum as a sweet natured little girl. She adores her food and is always first in the queue for food and treats. She is tiny but don’t be fooled by her size as she has a huge character and pushes her way in front for goodies.
Lilac currently sleeps in a bed with her two foster siblings and is quiet all night
House training has been easy as she gets taken into the garden every three hours and there have been no accidents. She will go into the garden if her foster mum is with her but won’t go on her own even if foster mums’ dogs are out there.
Lilac bonds quickly to her forever person, however she is very wary of new people and therefore a quieter home where someone can work on this issue.
Lilac is not cat or small furry tested and has not met any children.
Lilac doesn’t walk on a lead yet but will allow foster mum to put the lead on her but she will just sit down.
Lilac loves to cuddle with his foster mum and adores the attention from her.
The ideal home for Lilac would be someone who is home most of the time with a calm resident dog or dogs. She needs a secure garden that she can explore with her forever human in sight. A family who is experienced with nervous ex breeding dogs. Owners who will be patient and let her come around when she is ready and not to force her to do anything.

RESIDENT DOG OF A SIMILAR NATURE
QUIET HOME WITH OWNERS HOME MOST OF THE TIME
OLDER DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
NOT CAT TESTED
Clover is an 8 year old mini dachshund that is described by her foster mum as a quiet, gentle little lady. She thrives on human contact, gives lots of cuddles and eye contact. She loves nothing more than sitting on your lap being stroked. She has most of her energy in the morning and likes to go out in to the garden for a little explore and particularly likes to sit in a sunny spot enjoying the warmth.
She is very shy with people she doesn’t know and needs to gain their trust which can take a little time, when she has trust in you she is happy to interact and follow you around. If someone comes in the house, she tucks her tail in with nerves by when she is stroked she soon comes around and enjoys the attention. She is very gentle with people in general.
There are dog savvy teenagers in the home that are aware that she is a quiet, gentle lady and understand how to treat her and she enjoys being cuddled by them both. I am unsure how she would be with younger children.
Clover has not been small furry or cat tested
Clover is so quite in the house you could almost forget she is there; this is until foster mum can hear her little feet coming toward her. She is toilet trained and goes to the rug at the door when she needs. Clover likes to spend most of her day lounging in her bed or sitting in the garden when she is not on someone lap having cuddles. Her bed is her safe cosy space where she likes to snooze day and night. The word that comes to mind to describe Clover is “Sweet”.
Clover is unable to go out for a walk at the moment until she has all her jabs, although I have a sling bag that she goes in for a little carry and you can see that she is enjoying watching the world around her and sniffing all the new smells. She cant wait to smell trees and bark at squirrels.
Clover needs a quite home with someone that enjoys small walks and can spend a lot of time with her. She is an lady that likes a peaceful place to have lots of naps preferably in the sun. Someone that can give her lots of time and cuddles. She would be ok with teenage children that understand that she is a quiet little sausage and will let her come to them for fuss and attention. She would like the company of another dog or dogs to show her the way and help her become a rescue breed ambassador.

MAX COULD LIVE WITH A SIMILAR RESIDENT DOG OR AS AN ONLY DOG
A FAMILY WHO WILL TAKE HIM LEISURELY WALKS
DOG SAVVY CHILDREN
Max is an 8 year old Chi X Corgi who came into rescue through no fault of his own and a change in circumstances for his previous owner who wanted to do the right thing and they did. He has clearly been adored and was a much-loved pet. He is a sweet little man who will pester for a cuddle. He likes to stand on his back legs and waving his front paws at you.
Max has obviously been spoilt rotten in his previous home, and why not that’s what every dog deserves. We think he has been eating a lot of human food and is taking time to adjust to dog food and can be a bit picky but were confident as soon as he gets into a routine and is getting regular exercise he will settle and be back to his princely status in no time.
Max has not been on many walks yet but it is clear that he is just desperate to explore the outside world again. He’s looking forward to little walks in the parks and the woods where he can see the squirrels and call them names. He has been wonderful on lead when going to the vets and burses.
Max needs a secure garden for him to enjoy pottering around, sunbathing and to generally be wherever you are. He likes to toilet in the garden and has been clean in the house.
He as a heart murmur that the vets need to be made aware of so they can monitor when having his check-ups.
Max has been great with other dogs but has not been cat or small furry tested.
He was, an only dog and would be OK as an only dog with a retired couple!
Max has met his foster mums’ children and grandchildren and has been good with them all.
Basically, middle aged max seeks a middle-aged family for nice walks in the park or country. Somewhere he can sniff the grass and trees. He could live with a similar resident dog or be an only dog as he is a super laid-back boy. A family that can appreciates his dance moves when wanting attention and will occasionally let him watch strictly. He would be a great addition to any family and has been a gentleman whilst being in foster.

BEN WILL BE AN ASSISTED ADOPTION WHICH WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH POTENTIAL NEW OWNERS
CAN LIVE WITH ANOTHER CAMLER DOR OR EQUALLY BE HAPPY ON HIS OWN
NEEDS A NICE RETIRMENT HOME WITH SHORT DAILY WALKS
Ben is a 14 year old border terrier that had a lot of health issues and was very unwell when he first came in to foster. Luckily his foster mum was there to nurse him through the tough times and the vets were amazing with him. Now that he’s all better he has a new lease of life. When he arrived, he was very thin with very little muscle but is now a good weight and he had good muscles. Ben is as deaf as a post; he’s had his ears cleaned out but he doesn’t react to anything including the other dogs barking.
Ben loves everyone and is even great with children but what he would really like is a retirement home where his forever humans will appreciate an older, calmer gentleman. Ben just plods around and likes to sleeps wherever he wants, his favourite places are a raised dog bed and the hallway where it’s cool. He likes a cuddle with his humans when they are on the sofa and equally likes to plod around the garden investigating and weeing on everything. He is clean in the house.
Ben has not been cat or small furry tested.
Ben has not been out on a walk due to his condition when he arrived and his medical treatments however, he gets very excited when he is put on a lead to go to the vet. He’s a lucky boy as his foster mum has a big garden and he loves a good mooch around and a doze in the sun dreaming of when he used to chase squirrels.
Ben’s perfect home would be with older people who don’t do long walks but a nice plod around the park to admire the ladies would be great. Ben was previously owned by an older man and he does show a preference for the male members of my family.
Ben’s condition will be discussed with potential adopters
Ben is not neutered due to his age
Vaccinated, microchipped and up to date flea and wormer
